Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Reliable

This is the 4th time that I have had the pleasure of staying at Bahia Principe Esmerelda. Although the property is slightly outdated and in need of some renovations, it continues to be one of my favourites resorts in Punta Cana. The beach is beautiful, I had a working air conditioner in room, hot water in my shower, the place was clean and the entertainment has improved since pre pandemic. I did notice that at the pool bar, I was over looked x2, as the bartender served other male guests that came after me and overlooked an elderly gentleman that was waiting even longer than I . I brought this to their attention as I had to slap my hand in protest and say”hey, wait a minute, u r serving others 2 other people and were ready to serve the third before I said something. “ The older gentleman came up to me and thanked me as he placed his tip money into his pocket and said he was not going to tip. They seem to overlook women over 40 and the elderly. Sad. As far as COVID precautions, some staff work masks and some did not. There was sufficient hand sanitizers around the food pavilions/ restaurants, however not many people utilizing this anywhere else.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Great Vacation

This was a very lovely resort, smaller than some of the other larger ones where you need a trolley to get around. Food and service was fantastic. Eddy, Adoni, Joyn (supervisor at the Indian restaurant) and Yaritza (Taboo) were all fantastic. My husband arranged an intimate dinner for my birthday at the Culunary Experience and food was unbelievable (this is an extra charge). The entertainment in the evening was lovely and a talented bunch. Vibes crew were fun and always including the guests, with their great sense of humor. I would recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful and clean resort

Friendly and courteous staff. Grounds are keep very clean and the beach and pool are excellent. Ambar rooms are up to date and clean. The al la carte restaurants are top class. The breakfast buffet was very good and lunch at beach was also good Very little wait times for tables at any eating area. Relaxing holiday.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Great resort

Everything was perfect the rooms was great the service was great there was always something to eat The only thing we didn’t like was it was to big for us It was a very long walk to anything and to get something to eat it was a long walk

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Stay

After not being able to travel for a few years I was great to finally get away. We enjoyed our stay at Bahia Grand Principe Punta Cana. Overall a comfortable hotel with excellent staff. The resort is long but trolleys run 24/7 which helps when tired. Rooms could be updated a bit but overall nice. A lot of the shops and casino outside the resort were closed due to the pandemic and have not returned yet.

Ocean El Faro: Amazing Vacation

The hotel had a lot to do. The beach was very wavy and had some rocks BUT there was a cove just north of the property that was sandy and had gentle waves. The lighthouse had breathtaking views of the area.

Occidental Caribe: Subpar resort

The staff, mainly the ones in the restaurant were friendly and nice. The hotel in itself needs a COMPLETE overhaul. The rooms and everything everything within, were EXTREMELY dilapidated, run-down. And yes, I'm aware that it's a third-world country but that doesn't mean that the bathtubs and toilets have to be clogged for days. Unfortunately, I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Best Experience

I was very impress with the quality of this resort. Rooms were very nice and clean. The variety of food was great but not easy getting A La Carte reservations for convenient dining hours. Pool is really attractive and beach was just enjoyable.

Occidental Caribe: Believe all the negative reviews

Upon arrival and check in, things appeared to be a little gloomy. This hotel is very dark and dated. We changed rooms 4 different times in 1 day. The situations varied from. cleanliness, broken safe, broken AC , and every room had a broken patio door lock, this appeared to be standard. The beach was gorgeous but difficult to find both beach chairs and pool chairs. Food was sub-par , comparable to Cuba standards. Will not go back to this hotel in future. When we discussed our concerns and [... read more] grievances with our travel representative , we were informed that this hotel is the lowest on their scale of hotels and we basically got what we paid for , 1 star hotel at $1800,00 per person . Apparently, the ratinting of this hotel is not correct as it claims to be a 4 star. On the positive side of things, we missed the polar vortex! Something good came out of this!

Occidental Caribe: Don’t waste your money

Hotel is outdated. Rooms have many issues and staff won’t even come to check when you report it. Food is horrible. Room equipment is broken or won’t work. Beach is nice and staff are friendly. Do not waist your money more of a 1or 2 star resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Average

Beautiful surroundings and I rate as follows. People are fantastic workers and fellow travellers. The buffet was repetitive everyday .Food was too salty and the selection was limited. The pool was great and the pool entertainment was good. In my opinion it is a fourstar resort cause of the food. I am not sure I go back to this resort.

Hotel is in great location, beach is wonderful. Staff are plentiful and very happy to please. The rooms themselves need $ and tlc. The food is plentiful but overcooked unfortunately because selection was great and varied.

Occidental Caribe: Rooms accommodations, nightmare

The hotel grounds was beautiful. The beach was clean. The poolside had lounging areas that was quite accessible. The rooms were less than desirable. my experience. Upon arrival once we got to room, we immediately had to return to front desk to change rooms which ultimate had to be done 4 times for several different reasons. Example the lights did not work, the bathrooms were disgustingly, dirty, the sliding door to the balcony did not lock due to locks were broken the bedsheets had brown marks  [... read more]all over them, I would definitely 100% never recommend this hotel to anyone personally I would never go back to that hotel. The staff was amazing the entertainment I give it a 60% could be better. When booking my vacation I did my research and this particular hotel was rated 4 1/2 star my opinion it was a one star at the most.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Regular Resort. Staff were cordial & helping.

I had to change room three times in a week. Room, provided to me, had damp smell & full of mosquitoes Also in one of the room, shilling had a leek in the bathroom. SHOWER WAS not up to standard. Outside architect of the Resort was amazing & beautiful. Another thing, we realized that "Privilege members" were provided better service than us. Once by mistake we were sitting on the beach in "Privilege Area" , the security guard came and told us to move out of that area. We felt really insulted.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Elegance amazing!

Resort is beautiful. We stayed in the adults only section, so we had a butler (Juan) who was amazing. Staff are friendly and customer service oriented. A la carte dinners were also wonderful. It was the right sized resort for our family.

Riu Republica: Fantastic Experience

Great food, drinks, rooms, service, decent entertainment, beautiful beach, what more could you ask for? Also very happy they weren't playing COVID theatre. Not a mask in sight made it truly a vacation and not a stressful showcase of people playing 'pandemic'. Thank you Riu!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Gorgeous Resort

The Royalton Bavaro is a gorgeous resort, beautiful rooms, good food and lots of great entertainment. However, we booked in Oct./22 and requested side by side adjoining rooms and a crib. We were travelling with family with 2 small grandchildren.We were told days before we arrived on Jan. 27/23 that the only way to guarantee this was to pay $100 US extra per room. When we arrived not only we didn't get adjoining rooms, we were on different floors. We finally paid more $350 US to move on the first [... read more] floor to be side by side with a swim out pool. Nothing else was available, apparently. As amazing as this resort is, be aware you have to pay for adjoining rooms. Also, hot tubs are not hot, not even warm.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Worth it

The resort itself is well taken care of. The staff go out of there way for you. The food is excellent and diverse in both flavors and type.We had a swimup room which exceeds expectation. No problems with checking or check out.

Temptation Miches Resort 21 Plus: First time at Temptations and loved it!

This was our first trip to Temptations. It was amazing and I don't know where to begin. It was at 40% capacity. -1 hour and 10 min from airport-loved the scenic ride-grabbed 2 Presidente each for the ride. "Check in was easy and we met Alejandro (butler) immediatley and he took us to our room. He was amazing the entire time we were there. We are not a couple that ever utilizes the "butler" but ALEJANDRO was the BEST. He made us feel comfortable and he was just so personable. He checked in eve [... read more]ry morning and one morning I wasn't feeling well ( this might be TMI but I had a bladder infection) He said he could help me and he went to the pharmacy to get me antibiotics and brought them to me right away! ( had no idea we could even get antibiotics without a prescrption-anyway he was a life saver!) There were no small bills available at the front desk and I mentioned to him so he got some for us when he went home. This guy was just amazing and so kind! The room- AC was perfect, the bed wa so comfortable and I loved the sheets and pillows. They even had a night service where they would ask if we needed extra towels or anything! We had a swim up in building 4 which I loved because we go to the beach till 3 or 4 pm and then the sun is on our deck all afternoon till sun goes down. Morning we like to have coffee on the deck and the sun is on building 5 and 6 at that time. So we did use room service every day :). The food-was amazing. I loved all the restaurants and yes the morning buffet had lots to choose from (hard time to get butter) The SHE restaurant had fantastic food and a very unique dining experience-be sure to make your reservation! The staff-my Goodness everyone was so pleasant and friendly-by far the BEST SERVICE we have encountered and we have been to 7 different DR resorts. We are not the outgoing couple that talks to people and yet they would remember our names, say hello, ask if we needed anything, joked around. The play makers, Wanda, Popeye, Spicy, Bartender at beach Glennys (love her) waiter Deilin, all the hostesses, the maseuse, Julianna-I wish I could remember everyones names! Entertainment-so we were here for 10 days and only went out 2 nights LOL ( Burning Land and Latin night) it does not start unti 10:30. I did enjoy the shows and I loved seeing the resort guests go all out with their outfits and costumes. The day time pool events were so much fun to watch. It really is the same as any other fun resort except the adult pool bar games are hillarious and fun to watch. The beach-my favourite part. we walked down the beach every day, one day we walked for 1 1/2 hrs one way and the turned around to come back-bring your yetti! The horses would run up the beach randomly and not once did we see poop( weird) and the dogs seem so socialized and well behaved, even the ones further down the beach. I went into the ocean almost every day. I would definitely return.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Caribe Beach resort review

Accommodations for seniors with mobility issues not satisfactory. Request for ground floor accommodations denied for Seniors 80+ who had issues with stairs. Trip with family resulted in parties at opposite ends of resort. This was at times challenging as resort very large. Use of a trolly recommended. Resort itself was beautiful. Dining options were good. Resort would suit younger persons.
