Riu Palace Peninsula: Nice Resort

Excellent resort. Food and accomadation were absolutely magnificent. Night life and interaction with other guests were limited. The Rui next door met that need. It is a really good base to branch out of. Town is close.

The Pyramid Cancun: Beautiful trip

The hotel was amazing. It's very big with much to explore, there is 22 restaurants. Even the buffets are great. The beach is better then most other resorts in Cancun. There is always something to do as it is a younger crowd for the most part. I just went with my girlfriend and if you want to go as a couple it is a good place as well because it's such a large resort.

Occidental Costa Cancun: Great time~~

Hotel was very clean. Rooms were okay. No balcony unless you upgraded. No bathtubs. Resort was small so I really liked that. Familiar faces. Food was okay. The Mexican restaurant was delish. However, you had to be ready at 7am to make reservation. Location was great!! Beach was not the best. But, the sand was like talc.

Riu Cancun: Dream vacation

Everything was perfect , peaceful and relaxing the staff was very hospitable, helpful and kind really enjoined it and special thanks from entertaining crew. I hope everybody could experience such an amazing trip.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Best service ever!!!!

Secrets Playa Mujeres was by far the best hotel we ever stayed in ,they literally took care of everything ,it was clean, the food was fantastic the service was out of this world the only disappointment was the weather it was a little chilly for this time of year but of course the hotel had no control over that they still manage to entertain us . Temptation Resort & Spa: Fun older resort

This is an older resort in Cancun. I was told by the staff it was the first resort built in Cancun in the 70's. Although old, they are keeping good care of it. The resort aims at the adult clientele since top less is allowed. The food was good but the buffet lack variety. Two restaurants on side would take reservations for 2, since I was traveling alone I could not access the restaurants. It was like a time share sell briefing. They actually told me that they don't want you back there since you are preventing new customers from getting the sells briefing. The location is a bit away from the activity (main hotels area) but the city bus service is excellent. $1 US will get you there in 15 minutes.

The Sens Cancun: Great family resort

Good restaurants, nice pool and beach area, and very friendly staff. I enjoyed the shuttle service supplied by Sunwing to and from the airport. The resort itself is very clean, and spacious. Kids enjoyed the pool and the kids club too.

Riu Cancun: Beautiful resort

Riu Cancun is an excellent resort I highly recommend it. The staff are very friendly and helpful the grounds are very well kept and and extremely clean, The food was amazing a lot to choose from for all tastes and great wine...can't forget the wine and drinks lol.. I totally would go back without hesitation. Loved it

Riu Caribe Cancun: Most incredible New Years!

Been to the Cancun area three times and this was the absolute best, perfect resort for 20-30 year olds (I went with my boyfriend, early 20s) who want to party in a more sophisticated than spring break kind of way. The a la cartes were really great (especially the steakhouse), the decor was amazing and really well kept and by far the best service I've received anywhere (including Canada). Trip of a lifetime, will be returning.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Amazing resort

I absolutely loved the Excellence Playa Mujeres! I have been to many all-inclusive resorts, and I have never met such friendly and happy staff. They go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The resort is gorgeous and very well maintained. Loved the rooms! The food was some of the best I've ever had at an all-inclusive resort. We ate breakfast and lunch every day at Toscana, and the menu always changed. Dinner we did at the a-la-carte restaurants and we were never disappointed. Grand Oasis Sens: Nice little Resort

Everything is well kept (needs a little upgrading)and more a/c inside of hotel !! Staff is very good and will do anything to make your stay a good one !!! The beach of the resort is 1 of the nicest beaches I have been on in my life !!!

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Most Excellent vacation - would go back anytime.

We stayed at this resort over new years 2014/2015 for 7 days. Pros: lots of staff to take care of your needs, both food, amenities etc. Options for breakfast and lunch that aren't buffet. We really liked the French and Mexican restaurant for the best dinners and a la carte menus. The Indian restaurant was fairly decent if you don't get that type of food in your local area. We get spoiled in Toronto with great Indian restaurant choices but by no means was it bad. We stayed in building #7 which w [... read more]as the right distance from the main activities and the pools/beach. In the evenings if you went to bed a little early the noise was no issue from the theatre or the patio bar. Felt very secure and protected for my personal safety. Of course in any location watch your belongings and be aware. The beaches were well kept and virtually always could get a place to relax. It was windy during the days we were there but we were still able to go into the water to cool off. We rented a catamaran one afternoon with another couple and headed to Isle Majueres, which included some snorkeling time and walking around the town on the island. It was a chance to get away from the resort without being on a crowded boat. ( yes crowds on the island) The location is roughly 30 minutes from the Cancun airport, and roughly 20 minutes from the Cancun strip if that's your thing. Cons - minor things Food - Sometimes the staff at the grill for breakfast as more than a little slow. I know I'm on vacation but "today" would be nice to get my order. I would have liked to have seen more fresh fruit offered outside the buffet in Tuscana I personally didn't like the Italian/Mediterranean restaurant called Barcelona, we ate their once and our group wasn't impressed by it's menu. Towel Collection - the staff is regimented about collecting towels off loungers even if you just put them out sometimes. It can be annoying being that over zealous. Guest Tipping - I did find that this time around more and more guests were tipping the staff during the week, people can do as they please but it does create a bit of expectation from some of the staff members. Yes we did tip at some of the special events but not for every time a drink was made. This wasn't the case when we stayed at the Excellence River Maya. Overall - both myself and my wife would go back to this resort anytime we had the money to do so. I rated it 4 stars on value because who wouldn't like something cheaper right. :)

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Another great stay at an Excellence Hotel

This was our second time staying at an Excellence Hotel, our first was at the Excellence Mayan Riviera. Both stays were great. the Excellence Mujeres is newer but the rooms are slightly smaller. The grounds at the hotel were immaculate and beautifully maintained. We stayed in building seven which is basically in the middle so everything was quite close. The beach area is lovely with plenty of beach chairs and huts along with a small bbq area for lunch and on beach bar service. We were there duri [... read more]ng the holiday season and the resort was at 96% capacity but it never felt overcrowded and we always found a place by the pool or on the beach and no you don't have to go down at 7:00 am to put a book on a chair to reserve your spot. We would eat breakfast, walk along the beach then find a good spot in the sun or shade and spend the day as we pleased. As an all inclusive cocktails and drinks are an important part of the stay so my advice is to request what brand of alcohol you would like in your drink. If you want premium they have it, you just need to request it. We did notice that there was a definite lack of fresh fruit in the drinks. A few years ago when you ordered a "Banana Monkey" they actually put a real banana in the drink, now it's a pre mix which is disappointing. So we stuck to mojitos with a premium 12 year rum and they were delicious. I do think the resort could work a bit on the cocktails as drinks were inconsistent from one bar to the next. We enjoyed the food at the Mexican restaurant which makes sense since you're in Mexico. The French restaurant was also very good as was Spice. Lunch at the Grill was okay but nothing too special. We liked that you could order chips, pico de gallo and guacamole at any time throughout the day to wherever you were sitting- poolside or on the beach. We did see a lot of tipping going on and this most certainly did affect the service you received as you would expect. But service levels were pretty good even without tipping. Canadians get a bad rep for not tipping as much as Americans however what most fail to remember is that the Canadians are paying more for the same vacation as their American counterparts. And as a final tip- Don't forget anything at the pool or beach which is an easy thing to do after a few drinks. The concept of lost and found is not something they grasp. It's more like lost and gone which we learned the hard way two days in a row. Crews clean up and either keep it or throw it out. And I can't help but comment on the review from the English couple about how this hotel is not 5 star. It's Mexican All inclusive 5 star not Thailand or Fiji 5 Star. But I do agree the amenities were lacking so bring your own soap, shampoo, conditioner creams etc.

Grand Oasis Cancun: TERRIBLE!!!

This resort was hands down the worst! The booze sucks, service sucks, DIRTY!!! Cockroaches the size of an iphone.. Workers all demand tips.. If you want to party go to Varadero barcells money, cheers amigos

Occidental Costa Cancun: Nice Hotel

Stayed Dec 13 - Dec 20/2014 The Hotel was clean but a little dated in some areas. Food was good in Buffet and in the a la carte restaurants. Service was great in all areas and staff always pleasant and helpful. Grounds were kept very clean at all times. Contention 1 - Photos are deceiving to size of beach - postage stamp. Saving grace was guests did not wake early to save chairs along beach or pool as in many other resorts. You also lost the light at the beach/pool early (around 4) due to posit [... read more]ioning of hotel. Beach is the only reason I would not recommend this hotel. For business, short stays or persons only there for excursions - would be really good. Contention 2 - asked for guidance, when booking, which resort (Costa or Tucancun) would better meet my criteria (cleanliness and beach for walking) and felt letdown. Note that this is first time disappointed when booking through Trip Central. In closing made due and had a relaxing time with my daughter. Looking to book the next trip.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great family trip

Moon Palace Cancun: Best service ever imagined !

The Moon Palace is a great experience for all family members. The large complex gives you plenty of opportunity for dining, swim, sports and excursions. The service level surpassed our expectations. The staff are kind, humble and fun to be with. The Golf course is stunning and the spa is clean and provides a relaxing journey. A sunny stay at the Moon Palace.

Grand Oasis Sens: Great adults only resort

We travelled with 5 young adults to this beautiful resort. It was kind of quiet but the pools were never full and the beach was beautiful. Unfortunately, the waves were to strong to swim; you could get hit by the waves if you like that. No tennis on site which we had specifically asked about so that was disappointing. Food was good and we enjoyed the swim-up bar (Gracias Carlos!) The Entertainment left to be desired although the snipets of Cirque du Soleil in the lobby were amazing.

Grand Oasis Sens: Nice resort but with not many planned activities

You promised our group of 7 that there was tennis but THERE WAS NONE! The grounds were clean but had few planned daily and nightly activities. Did NOT get an ocean view as requested either. Food was excellent though!
