For me and Alek it was perfect The service was 100% It’s just that we din’t get the room until 16:30 ich ? And when we arrived they seamed to be all mixt up They where mixing name and bag. After that we got are room it start to be ok ?? And it’s far from the Airport

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Amazing Resort

Our trip to Catalonia Royal Tulum was amazing. The food is excellent, the resort is clean and what to say about the staff....they were ALL amazing. Le resort a su gardé un beau cachet des pierres de la sité des Mayas et de la forêt. Le pont qui relie les Villas à la piscine et buffet est simplement magique le soir. Tout est propre et bien entretenu.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Great resort

The resort was fantastic. Food was great. The staff is amazing and the rooms were nice and clean. I was disappointed to find out upon my arrival that the buffet is only open for dinner on Saturdays. You need to make a reservation for the restaurants and if they are all booked up you have to order room service...which sucks when you're hungry. I would have liked a place where I can go eat after 5pm. Also, I found the entertainment to be lacking.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Wonderful experience

The resort is very picturesque and lovely. The staff were very welcoming and warm. Food was plentiful, varied and well prepared. The entertainment at the theatre and poolside was delightful and fun. All in all a wonderful trip.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Had a great time!

The resort was clean and well maintained. Staff are wonderful and definitely made the trip that much better. Staff: GREAT Room: GREAT Food: GREAT Bar Staff: GREAT Entertainment: Not so great A la Cartes: Not so great Beach: Not so great Entertainment staff is almost non-existent and when they were around they really get the crowd going so I am surprised there is not more. The a la carte meals and ambiance are great but many of the restaurants are not open, or have staggered schedule [... read more]s if they have wedding parties. I did not like that you could not reserve your a la cartes. I am not on vacation to wait in a line. The beach is terrible but I didn't go for the beach so it didn't bother me in the least. The mojito bar was so nice and a great place to go after dinner for a cocktail. I have to say the staff surpassed all my expectations (Carlos, Bettyna, Blanca, Jose, Gio, Alex, Javier, and Camal). Thank you!

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Good value

Small Resort - no pool for adults. Beach was nice and great service. Some poor operations - alot of small issues that could easily be fixed to improve resort. Buffet was not the best. Very unorganized. Restaurants were good. Some areas or the resort had amazing service and some areas had poor service. Rooms were nice and cleaning staff did a great job. For the price that I paid it was a great value but I wouldn't pay any more.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Terrible Resort

Very disappointing experience. The staff at the checkin counter did not care about the customer experience and were very entitled to say “this is what you get”. The concierge was not helpful at all. The check-in was delayed by 1.75 hrs and the room was smelling sewer with little black flies all over. We had cockroaches in the night. The vacation spirit was ruined by the staff we encountered and the smelly room. The restaurant staff were good and courteous; pool was ok; unclean beach.

Occidental Cozumel: Amazing

Beautiful grounds , beach and pools amazing, rooms clean great water pressure in shower, staff were exceptional !staff listened and helped out when we needed to change up our rooms, no lines or very short lines in the dining room ( buffet)

Riu Santa Fe: Excellent

It is very large Hotel is very large. We were in building 7 (only section with elevators). Make sure you ask for a room closer to front of hotel as there are Riu parties happening 4 days out of 7, with 2 being at night, they are very, very loud. Of course you get the drunk people coming after parties which you can hear up and down hallways. Rooms were large and comfortable, very clean, no issues. The food at all restaurants is good, go early so you do not have to wait. Entertainment was lacking, kids entertainment was annoying night after night. Overall good time, the staff work hard, everything was clean, weather was fantastic,

Riu Latino: Great resort

This hotel was very nice very clean staff were all fantastic and very friendly and all very hard workers. Anything we needed they were very quick at responding. Food was good. We always were able to find something at the buffet to satisfy us. Bed was comfy pillows were small but that’s what I like. Pools were all clean lobby was great. Beach was a little far. I think if they had a board walk to get there it would have been better as it was difficult walking through the deep sand to get to the be [... read more]ach. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: The Fives - A Family Resort

In general our family of 4 enjoyed our 2 bedroom accommodation vacation. We did a private ATV/Snorkel/Cenote tour with Cancun Adventures booked at the resort. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a smaller more intimate experience. Worth every penny or peso!! Visit www.tripc.ca/MXO periodically before your trip to ensure you meet the requirements for your departure date. For visitors to the state of Quintana Roo (Cancun, Cozumel, Mayan Riviera, Costa Mujueres, Tulum) it is mandatory to pay a visit tax (VISITAX) before arrival or upon arrival and obtain a QR code as evidence of payment. Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great in some areas, need improvements in others.

Hotel In terms of the hotel itself, it is nice and clean. The resort itself consist of the Royalton Riviera Cancun and the Hideaway at the Royalton Riviera Cancun (Adults only) section which are directly connected with one another. You can explore both the Hideaway and the Royalton Splash as I did not encounter anyone checking to see if you are in the right section. However, everyone is given seperate bracelets to differentiate the section that they are in. If you want lounge chairs by the po [... read more]ol or even near the pool, you have to get a towel and place it there to reserve it. If you do not, you will find that there are no chairs for you to sit in other than the very few that are out in the open with no cover whatsoever. Food The food at Gourmet Marche (Buffet), Hunters Steakhouse, and Taj (Indian) was above average. At Zen (Teppanyaki Grill), you are mostly going there for the show rather than the taste and quality of the food. However, you have to line up at 3:00 pm on the same day to ensure you have a reservation at at the Chef's table. Otherwise you will be ordering from a seperate menu in a seperate table. Personally, I did not like the food at Agave (Mexican) and Grazie Italian Trattoria (Their pasta was subpar but their pizzas was delicious as it was cooked in a wood stone oven). Keep in mind, the wait for your food can take up to 45-60 minute at Hunter's Steakhouse. I would recommend trying the gelato from the Scoops Gelato and Caffe Lounge as they had multiple flavours (Coffee, Mango Passionfrust, strawberry, strawberry with cream, pistachio, pina colada, lime). Room The beds were very comfortable due to their Dreambed mattress. Despite advertisting it, they do not refill our minibar every single day. Therefore, you have to request it with guest services in order for them to refill it. Their rooms are a bit dated in the sense that the mirrors are a bit rusty and their toliet can require multiple flushes. There is that sewer smell from the shower, but I did not mind it as it is a familiar smell in hot and humid countries. Transportation If you wanted to travel to downtown Cancun or anywhere in the hotel zone (Cancun), you have no choice but to use their hotel taxi which I have been quoted $65 USD one way. Uber does not work as the resort is right outside of the border of Cancun. It can get very expensive if you plan to make multiple trips to Cancun. Even if you were to try to walk from the front of the hotel to the front gates of the hotel, it would take approxiate 45-60 minutes for you to do so. The road has no sidewalks and there are signs advising you against doing so due to wildlife living in the mangroves. However, it is not a problem if you plan on staying in the resort for the entire duration of your stay. Summary Although the food was above average and the room itself was quite comfortable, I do not think I would return as I like to travel outside of the resort and sightsee. $65 USD for a one way trip is way too expensive and the lack of alternative transportation options to leave the resort made it feel like I was trapped within the resort.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing resort

Over all was good ground are Beautiful pools are very nice but the room weren’t last time stayed in diamond club room This time building 8 had so many issues with are room . Thing after thing .finally I got another room after three nights then room was in 7 buildings room# 7336 It was the most busiest hallway cannot get any sleep .

Riu Palace Mexico: riu place Mexico

The grounds were extremely well kept...The washrooms were always clean. The staff was very friendly. As a senior travelling alone i always felt safe. I love RIU for that reason Wish you had special rates for seniors wanting to travel alone. I might be able to come more often

Holiday Inn Huatulco: Awesome Hotel!

This hotel was very clean. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels. The only downfall was no bar fridge. Luckily we have friends who lent us a cooler. We had breakfast included and always fresh and delicious. Wasn’t the same old bacon, eggs and toast. Omelettes were fantastic!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great resort

The initial arrival to the resort was a bit of a wait. We were able to check in but had to wait about two hours for our room. Understandable as rooms are not usually ready by 3pm, however our flight time was early and we arrived just after 1pm. The resort is beautiful. If your looking for a beach, this isn't the resort for You. Tons to see and do without the extra expense of leaving the resort. Dinner reservations you needed to submit at 12am every night in order to get one. Buffet was ok [... read more]ay, but lacked in amounts of restocked food. Tons of kids activities, entertainment. To highlight this resort more would be to Add additional kids services such as ice cream parlour or a coffee shop.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Great resort for families!

The overall experience at the resort was good especially if you have kids. This resort caters a lot of the entertainment at night towards kids. It has a lot of pools so over crowding isn’t usually a problem. There is more than enough bars and a la carte restaurants but beware not all the proper information is given at Checkin regarding reservations. The laser tag, bowling and trampoline are not included and are quite expensive so be cautious of that.The resort is only 18-20 minutes from cancun a [... read more]irport so that was great. There are a lot of drink options but it’s best to ask for a drink menu as when we asked the servers what they recommend, some were dumbfounded. Our room was great and cleaned well everyday, no complaints there. Another tip is to pay the resort tax at checkout not Checkin. The shops on the resort are not cheap and the next closest shopping would be 1hr away at playa del Carmen. It’s hot so I’d recommend bringing a hat.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Amazing Vacation

The Iberostar Parisio Maya is a beautiful resort. They are extremely environmentally forward with no single use plastic anywhere on the premises. The grounds are beautifully manicured and the food is amazing. This was my 19th trip to the Iberostar and I’ll keep going back!!!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great Resort

We spent a week at this resort in April. It is an older resort but very well maintained. Our room was very clean and we had hot showers at any time of the day. Alot of care goes into the beautiful grounds. We found something to eat at all the restaurants. The staff at this resort go above and beyond to make people happy. We loved our housekeeper, Marisa, in block 4. Such a kind and helpful lady. A beautiful bike path is close by. We definitely will go back.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Great newer resort

This hotel is only a few years old, so the building and its amenities are still quite new. Our room was beautiful. We opted for the Diamond Club once we arrived and it was worth it. The restaurants are fantastic and the service is outstanding. The beach unfortunately is experiencing an influx of seaweed, but the hotel staff is doing all that they can to minimize it through daily raking and setting up a seaweed barrier out on the water.
