Melia Las Dunas: Fantastic resort

We stayed at this hotel on March 20 to 27, 2018. The hotel was very clean, rooms and bathrooms very beautiful, food was excellent, beach is perfect for long walking with white sand, water enough warm and very nice color. Excellent services. They are very well organized and efficient. Yanelis, the waitress, was the best one, always smiling and calm. I’ll come back and I recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for vacation.

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: nice resort

this resort is good for adults who want to stay on the resort to relax eat and drink. a la carte are not good. buffet was excellent. rooms are clean. fridge is kept stock but not by the maid another guy comes around for the fridges and usually later in the day. at least in number 11. there are male maids so don't take everything for women. pool bar service was great. chair guys are helpful. favorite drink was pina colada but they were never made the same.

the resort was clean. pool bar guys were awesome. Randy, Jordan and Janet. rooms were clean. my maid did not build me anything out of my towels even though I left her lots of stuff and she was highly tipped. but the room was clean. there are male maids there so don't just take lady stuff like we did. buffet food was great. a la carte not so much. beach was nice but count on the wind but we liked the wind to keep us cool. don't go here if u like to go off the resort do stuff. and if y [... read more]ou've been to a market don't bother going to the one close by.

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Needs improvement

The hotel is not bad the rooms were clean but our telephones did not work and our balcony door would not lock. The waiters and waitresses were very good but the front desk staff did not go out of there way to help.

The hotel was nice. The tables in the dining room were not cleaned very often and were dirty. Beach was beautiful. Food was good for Cuba. Rooms were nice. The staff was friendly. The entertainment at the pool was great.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Disappointing resort

- Shortages of food at the buffet and 24 hour snack bar. - Poor quality food at the seafood a la carte restaurant. - Food served at the buffet were generally cold. - Staff were unfriendly for the most part and appeared to not want to work or provide any guest services. There was at least 3 incidents where hotel staff were actually rude. - No interaction between the animation teams and the guests with few activities being offered at the “busy/party pool”. - Hard beds and thin pillows [... read more]. - No taxi service outside resort in evenings. Only things that made the vacation bearable were the beach, weather and a handful of warm hearted staff members that made me smile.

Beach 10 Pool 8 Food 7 Staff 8 Entertainment 9 Rooms 7 Overall I would recommend this location as every year the resort is always improving. The beaches are worth the money time and venture. You wont get beaches like this anywhere elseinCuba

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Grand Memory Santa Maria Cuba

My husband and have been in Cuba (Cayo Coco and Varadero) and three times in Cayo Santa Maria and first time at that resort. Great resort, great people, good food, good service, nice and clean pool and last the beach is amazing as usual. Will recommend that resort anytime. Tks!

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Exceeded our Expectations

We don't expect much when we go to Cuba. We go for the rest, relaxation, and beautiful beaches. The food at the a la carte restaurants, though, was surprisingly good. Thank you to Leo at the buffet, our maid Milexi, Jose at the Hobie Cats, and Dayana at the Blue Moon restaurant who made our stay more personable and memorable.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Amazing Beach, Pool ans staff

Picture perfect beach, extra long and totally private, with cleanest water and sand you will ever get, and 3 rustic bars (east, centre and west) serving BBQ and sandwiches at noon + (east only) freshly made paella every day. No motorized crafts, therefore no water/noise pollution. Lots of lounge chairs and shaded seating, you will not have to fight for a place or wake up early to reserve one. Only (minor) drawback: ugly sand covered lagoon area to cross before reaching the beach, quite a distance to walk if nature calls (no washrooms in the beach area). Hotel is spread on sizeable grounds with big and super clean pools for young and adult, generous seating, non-crowded in-water bars and indoor/outdoor snack bars. Excellent pool/beach towels replaced at will. Rooms: large, fully equipped, very clean, sound proof, with spacious bathrooms (careful: it's either shower or tub), and nice balconies to enjoy. Excellent housekeeping but no Do Not Disturb signs. On 3 floors, but no elevator. Food: one central indoor/outdoor buffet restaurant, huge with good variety, but long lineups at cooking stands. Warm buffet needs to be kept ... warm and replenished, and cold buffet needs more selection, with better salads. Beware: not cosher, not halal. Morning selection is ok, but bread toasters not good enough and whole wheat bread non existent. Crowded omelette and pancake stands. Served coffee below par and always lukewarm, isolated Nescafe machines almost always empty. Staff is eager to please. Upfront tipping helps a lot. Live music every day. Fine dining: Booking system not appropriate (lineup every day starting at 5 pm for dining that day only). Food is very average. Central cafe/bar: outstanding! With high-quality live music every day. Alcoholic drinks are generous and well prepared everywhere. Specialized coffee at Mike's well worth it. Wi-Fi in the central building only, with 1$ cards for Id/password that can last up to 1 hour. Good speed. Cozy and generous seating in the lobby to check your email and share your pictures. Entertainment every night will exceed your expectations, considering the remoteness of the place. Local dance group with some very good dancers. Very nice amphitheatre. Staff: overall VERY nice and obliging (including Pedro at the Tennis Courts). Well, with one exception: front desk staff cranky. If you report an issue, don't expect a quick resolution. Local money exchange office: can be slow with lineups. Excursion offering is average. Nearby shopping mall (Estrellas) not worth the 24 bus wait or 20$ taxi (maybe if there is entertainment at night). Our arrival and departure were on a Thursday. Checking in and out at the airport was very smooth (compared to Varadero) and 1.5 hour commute to hotel punctual and pleasant. Finally: Maidely of Transat: a wonderful person. Inconclusion: much above expectation for the discounted price we paid!

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Great Family resort

We had a wonderful experience at the Grand Memories resort. The beach was by far the best beach I’ve ever seen, staff was wonderful, food was very good, lots of kids at the resort for our kids to play with. The entertainment was best in class! Great week and we would go back for sure!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Stunning Beauty

Our stay at Sanctuary was a wonderful experience. The grounds are beautifully kept clean at all times. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The staff assigned to you at your Bungalow are always accessible and available for your needs from day start to finish. The views are gorgeous with the ocean as clear as the pool. The beach is kept spotless. The grounds décor is rustic and not north Americanized modern like many other resorts I have visited. This I appreciated more. Our stay was for a girls get away. I would highly recommend for couples looking to unwind or for adults looking for time to relax and have fun kid free. Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Good Value

A good value for money at this resort. The food was pretty good for Cuba, albeit the buffet was the best of all of them. The beach is great and the pool was nice. We had a little incident with one of our children stepping on a piece of glass in the pool, but the resort cannot control everything. Fantastic resort on an amazing beach. Best week in the sun. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We will definitely go back to this resort. Next time we will stay 2 weeks !!!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Wonderful solo getaway!

Travelling alone to Cuba and the Iberostar Ensenachos was a great experience. The hotel is set up well allowing for me to choose the adults only (spa) section. My room was really comfortable (mattress not as good as my own at home but I wasn’t expecting that) and the bathroom’s amenities and layout was perfect. The pools are good. It the Olaya Ensenachos and the water truly cannot be beaten. One of the most beautiful I have ever seen, and I travel a lot. I really appreciated the woman in the dining room who always greeted me with a smile, a table and asked about my day. With little other conversation during my week she was heaven sent! The gardens and walkways are lovely and I felt safe at all times and hours. The food was good, Cubans do their very best with limited resources and I never went hungry. The bank, shops, shows and internet were all good enough - I truly was there for the beach and the sunshine and the rest and Iberostar Ensenachos delivered, 100%! P.S. the morning yoga classes were perfect!!!

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Would Not Return

My first impression was not good when I entered my room the first thing I seen was blood on my pillowcase and when I rolled the sheets down they were full of yellow stains that smelt like urine ! The cleanliness was an issue at the resort. Grounds are beautiful !! This hotel does not have enough employees everything was long waits. But I must say the Sunwing rep was absolutely amazing she went beyond to satisfy. Must mention we arrived on a Thursday and by Saturday there was still no beach towel [... read more]s there was simply on sign saying sorry no towels today !! The Sunwing rep found me and my daughter a beach towel !!
