Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Loved every minute!

The hotel was beautiful, clean and our room was amazing with beautiful water views. The food was delicious. Several a la carte restaurants to choose from. All employees were there to make your stay unforgettable. Such nice people. Can’t say enough about how kind they were! Would go back in a flash👍🏖🥃🍺🍷

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Exceptional resort! Absolutely Paradise!!!

We stayed at the Grand Bahia Punta Cana royal golden for 7 days and we were blown away with the entire experience! The staff are incredible, very happy and friendly, kind people that will go out of there way, above and beyond for anything you want or need. We stayed in villa 4 and our cleaning lady was wonderful. We honestly were blown away and didn’t ever want to leave, of course because it was vacation but because it was an absolute paradise and everyone was so kind and happy. This felt like a home away from home all because of the staff. We cannot wait to go back and will likely only ever return to grand bahias after this wonderful experience!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Terrible customer service

The hotel itself was nice the grounds were beautiful. The system for getting people around was great. But when issues came up their customer services was terrible. There was not enough staff the could speak English. Were bumped from staff to staff several times.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Customer Service Lacking

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. The grounds, the beach, everything but the customer service. We had to go to the reception desk a number of times during our stay and each time we were treated very rudely. There were room mix ups, empty bar fridges, late check out miscommunications and all inquiries were treated the same, "sorry we can't help you". For the price that is paid for a vacation, I would think the staff should be a little more accommodating. Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Great, family-friendly resort

The resort was beyond our dreams! The grounds were immaculate and there were so many things for the kids to do, the programming was excellent! Each night the kids had dances and there were contest on the pool deck for them to participate in. The buffet food was great and à la carte restaurants equally good (except the Tex-Mex). If you can, try the Japanese fusion and the Teppanyaki for a real treat. We only hung out at the beach a little (the waves were high and the kiddies didn't like tha [... read more]t so much) but from what we could see it was nice, albeit a little crowded. Easier to get sun chairs by the pools than at the beachfront. The rooms were really clean, however the hallways are quite echo-y and noisy, so try and remember to stay quiet at night when returning to your room in case fellow travellers are sleeping - being the family resort, many of us retire early-ish (10pm which really isn't that early). The shows were fun, however not all of them are kid-friendly so watch out for those. Mirabel, who is the kids event coordinator is fantastic and really goes out of her way to make the kids feel welcome. Drinks at the swim-up bars seem a little watered down (so feel free to pound back quite a few!) but the ones at the main-lobby are full-strength so watch out! We also did the Pirates of the Caribbean excision and it is great fun for kids. They do a good job of keeping the kids occupied while travelling out to the snorkelling, sting rays and sharks and have a fun play on the way back. We were really impressed with this trip and how well suited it was for the kids. Our friends that we travelled with did have their son contract Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease near the end of the trip so that it something to watch out for, but with a place that is this kid-friendly, I suspect the toys, etc. at the Kids Club aren't always as well cleaned as they may be here in North America. Other than that hiccup at the end, we had a fantastic time and would recommend this place to any family looking for a fun adventure in Punta Cana!

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Beautiful and friendly resort!

The grounds were immaculate, the never stop working on them. The staff was friendly everywhere we went. The rooms were clean and the food was extremely good. All in all it was a wonderful and very relaxing holiday. We would definitely go back.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Nice Resort.

We stayed at Akumal Feb 18 for 7 days. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The food in the buffet was very good, always a nice selection. We didn't try any a la carte restaurants because we don't like having to keep any type of schedule while travelling and you had to reserve a time. We did hear from other travellers that the food in these restaurants was good. The pool and beach areas were nice. We did however have to play the towel game some mornings to get pool loungers. On mornings we di [... read more]dn't, chairs were hard to get. The staff were very friendly everywhere on the resort. Good drink service around the pool and beach area. Our room was nice but a bit musty smelling. Its a tropical place and we were on the ground floor so a little hard to avoid. I wouldn't give the room a five star. It needed some updating for sure. We had a good time at grande bahia principe punta cana. The resort is very clean, the food and drinks were good. You are only allowed 3 a la cartes one was booked at 9:30pm way to late for us to eat. Some people didnt get any a la cartes Overall the sun was shining and we had a great time with friends and family

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: VERY NICE

IT WAS A LITTLE DISNEY WORLD. Wonderful staff, decent food, awesome activities for the kids, everywhere so clean and beautiful. All the restaurants have very good food . The employees are very friendly and helpful they go beyond helping you. They want to make sure you are happy . I would highly recommend this property because of one of the reasons the property has a lot of actives and a lot of entertainment. The beach is very beautiful and large and they also provide meals on the beach.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing experience

This destination was amazing. Food, service, rooms, amenities and staff all 5 stars. Only complaint was they cut back on activities to fill in your afternoons in exchange for “experiences” like tastings

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: beautifuly large resort

This is a beautiful resort with lots to do. Here are my personal comments without the fluff. The resort is 1 hr 45 minute away from the Samama Airport not 70 minutes. We were checked in and handed our keys at the airport. (our rooms were not quite as requested). We arrived in the dark at 11 p.m., with zero welcome at the lobby. Rooms with 2 double beds are ground floor only, Kings are 2nd, and 3rd floor. Room change requests were refused that night. Had to return to the desk twice the next d [... read more]ay to be taken seriously. Late checkout may be available for 35$. Ask the desk. WiFi only works in the lobby, but is not very strong at all. (unless you pay) Pools and beach are well maintained. lots of chairs provided you get down there in the am. Buffet food is good, but empties quickly, and not filled as quickly. ( and lots of food is the same ever day) Book your a-la-carte restaurants the day you arrive. Mediterranean was delicious! Take your Bubba, a facecloth, and clips to hold your towel to your chair. Ride the banana boat! (10$ per person) Free paddle boards, kayaks and catamarans. Relax and enjoy!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great Holiday resport

We had great experience at the Ambar with beautiful ground and a clean and orderly beach. The swim up bar is in the sun most of the day and the food and libations were excellent. The staff are helpful and very pleasant. We will definitely return.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Great resort, definitely recommended.

Very nice resort, with beautiful grounds and well kept. Great pools and beach areas, friendly staff and our butler was awesome. Nice room, good food at the buffet and the a la cartes. Stayed for 10 days and would definitely go back and recommend it to others. The Bouganville side is adults only and great for couples but you can access everything on the Romana (family) side also.

THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT THE ROOMS WERE SPOTLESS THE GROUNDS WERE VERY CLEAN AND THE PEOPLE WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN. THE DRIVE FROM THE AIRPORT WAS A LITTLE LONG JUST OVER AN HOUR BUT WELL WORTH IT

1) dated. Phone issues, very noisy, called in for more towels, toilet paper, blanket, never came, never responded. 2) they didnt know I spoke Spanish, staff talked really bad about everyone, racist remarks, peoples' weight, sexual remarks to very young girls, I understood everything, and not happy with their disgusting remarks about their bodies and what they would do to them!. 3)not sanitary, very dirty. They have this system where the lights turn off in the washroom so annoying.. We got sick [... read more] (colds) never have before.. they need to lysol everything as I found many kids, staff and adults all coughing everywhere they did nothing to keep door handles, chairs clean...found many plates and cups dirty, pay attention dont let them serve u in their cups before checking. Found lipstick on more than 1 cup in the morning... They swepped while we ate DISGUSTING! We asked them to stop but didnt listen 4)constant harrassment om the beach to do excurtions NON-STOP. 5)entertainment, non of them sing.. only good thing is the dancers, they prepared. 6) no bottle water to take with u, served on cups only. 7)no towels by 1pm so get your towels early! 8)they voiced how dissatisfied they were for not getting more than a dollar tip! I saw them make customer uncofortable because they didnt like their tip amount! That is a horrible way to behave considering the fact that we spend thousands of dollars to come and stay at the resort. 9)Front desk training is TERRIBLE, they moved us closer to our friends room, made us check out and kept us without a room for a day. Ruined our day because they kept telling us to come back. Just horrible!! I dont recommend this place. BAHIA PRINCIPE PUNTA CANA! My business is sales and customer service and the owners of this resort need to train their staff better We have gone 6 times to DR but never had this type of treatment. I dont advise you to go here. They don't even deserve 1 STAR!

Perfect weather, great staff, excellent food, beach was great, seaweed but staff clean. Rooms very clean. Did an excursion snorkeling in a cave and then to a sanctuary . Book excursions with travel agent, much cheaper

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful

My wife and i spent 5 nights at grand bahia principe Jamaica and absolutely loved it. The food was amazing, couldnt get enough of the the main buffet. Pool was huge and pool bar staff were great. Favorite bar was the lobby bar. Always got great service. The beach was large and always found lounge chairs no matter what time we went down there....the beach near the nude beach was our favorite...and the nude beach was very relaxing and private. We will definetly be back for another stay.

This resort was well worth it the friendly staff...the food delicious...the entertainment abundance.....beach beauriful......weather was awesome the groynds are so beautifully manicured icwould love to return.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing resort

Hotel was good, but the room we had was far from every thing, we had a lot of walking to do. The beach is far from our resort. Entertainment was great. The food was excellent and the pool was great. Some of the staff were great and friendly.

Everything was great, staff is attentive, service is great, food as well. Was always too cold in the room though, could not control temperature....? Beach was nice although too many seaweeds due to high winds and waves....out of hôtels control. It was my first time in Mexico and not the last, rained for approx. 3 mins in 7 days... A la carte restaurants were amazing.... Beware of merchants outside of airport taking advantage of people who are not yet aware or councious of exchange rate.... [... read more]ended up paying $20 for a beer and bottle of water.....ignorance is bliss for some, expensive for others.
