Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing Resort

My friend,her 11 yr old daughter and i just returned from this lovely resort...I talked to a lot of people before booking this resort and i can see why they keep returning every yr and sometimes twice a yr..I loved the lay out of the resort..2 mins walk from the beach to the pool and to your room..Beach was amazing and the sun was so beautiful..Pool was so nice and clean,great swim up bar..and the games people were the best ever...Big shout out to Esther,she kept us moving...The food was delici [... read more]ous as were my drinks and we will be back to this resort next yr...I have to Cuba 9 times and this will be the first time going back to the same resort...we loved it...

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Beach is a 5 star

The grounds were beautiful. The beach was gorgeous. The beds were horrible, didn't sleep all week, going to chiropractor now! Been to other resorts in Cuba and the food was maybe a 2 at best. Beach chairs always occupied by 7am! Our maid was great. Tips were expected or no smiles due to all the rude tourists. I felt bad for the workers. We met amazing people still had a great time. The airport was a mess. Immigration took my mom's boarding pass and waited until boarding to tell her she couldn [... read more]'t board! I threw a fit and we boarded after they insulted her , I was stressed for her heart, senior citizen! I paid for my food then they told me I didn't and I stole the sandwich at the airport! I think I'll go to cayo coco next time. The service, airport, more Canadians , 3 star hotels have better everything!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Worth it

Would definitely go back. May not be appropriate for a family with an older child as the washroom shower has a see-through window to the bedroom. A la carte restaurant portions were small and reservations line was long.

Hotel Mojito: Will be returning

I stayed at the Iberostar Mojito from March 31 to April 7, 2018. Have been to Cayo Coco many times but never this resort. The Air Transat flight was great, the welcome at the resort was swift and welcoming. My room was ready when I arrived. Had room 1604 on the ground floor facing the pools. I am a picky eater but never went hungry. Ate at the beach bar restaurant, the snack bar restaurant near the pools, the buffet and the a la carte Italian. The people, both staff and resort guests, are what m [... read more]ake this resort special. Also, it had the widest, cleanest beach of them all, and I walked the whole beach every day. Enjoyed the foam party on the Wednesday. I liked that I had the party pool and pool bar if I felt like partying and could go to the quiet adults only pool if I was looking for peace. Yes, will definitely return. Thank you Trip Central for once again helping me book a holiday.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice resort

The resort in beautiful as is the beach (ofcourse). If you are looking for a mostly relaxing vacation this is your place. While there are things to do(shuffle board, boccia ball etc) there is not alot of entertainment. Never did the ala cartes but should have. Buffet not very good. Could always find something to eat. But never that exciting. For 1000. Its fine. Anymore, look elsewhere.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: resort need s work

This is my forth time at the Daiquiri ( Iberostar ) but it is not a five star ,even by Cuban standard s .I do understand that the storm s have done a lot of damage to the island ,but feel that the price of the should reflect the state of the resort..The staff as always make s the resort the five star ..I have very little to complain about my room was good ,but I wish I would have known the state of the damage done to the resort Thank you Darcy Horechka

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Beyond amazing

We had a great time in Jamaica. It all started when we arrived at the Iberostar Suites after a long day of traveling to be told that we had been upgraded to the Iberostar Grand. From there everything was perfect the room, the food, the staff, the amenities everything was great. We are looking forward to go back for our next vacation.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Wonderful beaches

Iberostar Ensenachos is a great 4 1/2 star resort. Lovely grounds, two fabulous beaches. Lots of palapas, reasonable food, good entertainment every night in the lobby. It’s a bit of a long bus ride from the airport, and to most excursions. One drawback is that the rooms don’t have ocean views. Otherwise, it’s a great resort, very family friendly, but with an adult section as well.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Best vacation every

My wife and I have been to many resorts; Florida, Turks and Caicos, St. Maarten, Costa Rica and St. Lucia and Iberostar Ensenachos was by far the very best. On March 27-April 6th we spent ten wonderful days with our family; our oldest daughter Nadia, our youngest daughter Kaitlin and her husband Christopher and their two young children Nathaniel four and Ava ten months. We stayed in the family section which is right beside the children's water park. The beach in our opinion was better then the beach at Grace Bay Turks and Caicos. The serving staff Yaima, Armando and Mariankis and the host of the Cuban restaurant could not have been more helpful. Thanks to the entire staff from the reception desk, servers, cooks, grounds keepers, maids, shuttle drivers etc. The staff is what makes this resort so special; a special thanks to Yohnny and Nestor for all their assistance. I would certainly return and would suggest this is a ten star not a five star resort.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Fabulous resort!

Resort was great. Can't wait to go back! Staff were excellent especially Adrian, Lisandra, Tusnery, Darien, and Darys at the 11th floor bar and restaurant. They made our stay very enjoyable. Food was good; paid for elite package so had choice of steak, fish, pork, lobster tail daily for lunch that was cooked to order. Specialty restaurants were good except for the steakhouse (avoid it). Our room was always made up fresh with a towel animal waiting for us upon our return.We didn't do any excursions because Havana is a 2.5 hr drive each way; will see it next time. We did pay 5 CUC to ride the double decker bus all day, so went into the town of Varadero and did some souvenir shopping. All in all a great trip and already planning to return for a longer stay next time!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Awesome Vacation

Went to this resort March 22-29..been there before at the grand village section which i prefer..we had a good time the entertainment was good the beach was awesome and they built a lot of new palapas on the beach for cover which was good.Sunwing was good the staff was very good my only complaint the need to make sure the bus to take you to the resort has a bathroom on board on our way back there was none and people had to go outside on the road . The room was ok but they need to add better lig [... read more]hting in the bathrooms and paint and a new mattress. We were in block 2100 which is a good spot to be. The food was ok the l"carts were amazing but there food pattern at the buffet needs to be address example not have sweets next to vegetables people but in to take something also food could be hotter. Also the staff work had and are very friendly and helpful which was awesome. The beach speaks for itself it is amazing and awesome snorkeling there .

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice clean resort

We were there March 24 18 for one week El mohito steak seafood restaurant in varadero. Good iOS and very cute and private dining. 1952 Plymouth Ricardo our cab driver. Awesome guy and lots of fun Our room 10321 3rd floor nice can see ocean sun at supper on deck ask for few more beer in room seem hesitant to give u any at first. Pools and grounds very clean and kept up. Beach very clean gorgeous and lots of chairs huts. Food average for Cuba it was not bad better than five years ago but was at another resort. Cheap in fillings at omelette station never have had that on any vacation. Mostly an egg when u get maybe half tsp of fillings u want. Didn’t like the water downed juice in morning or it’s powder. Sometimes like watered down tang. Was looking forward to great orange juice. Snack bar in one side had fish and chips and chicken and chips. Do not miss out on that. It was so yummy. Rooms very clean no bugs beds not so great but tolerable. Screens on doors would be nice and also umbrellas for pool area. Not one there. One pool quieter pool has bar was to have snack bar but the whole week no food there. Awesome staff at swim up bar. Felix and Aileen and Roberto u rock. Service for drinks around the pool and always cleaning up all day. Cuba u beat any destination out on this and keep it up. Never no glasses and mess around pool. The pools were amazingly clean and lots of pool areas for so not crowded. Ground keepers working hard to keep everything looking beautiful. Half hour to 40 mins from airport. I would go back to this resort again.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Another Wonderful vacation at Ibeorstar Laquna Azul!

This was our 4th time to The Iberostar Laguna Azul.We always look forward to returning & can't wait til next year.The staff are #1 , they really make this place special.Very clean resort lots of food.Great pools & The best beach!All the A la carte restaurant were really good but the Japanese is the Best!!All in all a great resort. This resort was well kept, nice grounds, fabulous beach...rooms were a little dated but clean and comfortable, staff was terrific, animation staff was amazing, always lots to do at the resort....beach party, live band on the patio, numerous other games and events...it is a large resort but laid out well so nothing is too far away, lots of room at the beach, easy to get chairs....the only thing is the long line ups, there is not enough staff to serve the amount of people at the resort...wait time [... read more]s at the bars and for pasta at the dinner buffet were over 1/2 hour long, same with breakfast....but, lots to eat and good food if you don't want anything made by the chef

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Nice resort but over-priced

Here is our breakdown of our trip to Iberostar Dominicana, Punta Cana. Room: We requested both with our agent and the hotel itself a room on a upper floor, which we received, and something fairly close to the ocean, which we did not even come close to receiving as we received a room overlooking the reception lobby, gym and Spa. Noisy and very unhappy for the $2000 spent each (x2 people). When we went back to reception after seeing our location, after much heated discussion the head at recepti [... read more]on finally moved us from building 3793 to 3893, which was immensely better and for this we were grateful...at least we could see the ocean even though not right on the ocean. They originally wanted us to pay an additional $60 US/night/person for this room but finally said “for no extra charge”. Reception and Guest Services: Nice people who when advised of issues did handle them in a timely manner and also were good about following up. Food: The food was average and nothing special. Very repetitious even though write up on the resort said variety on a daily basis. Line-ups were long and took forever to get through. Ordered a glass of white wine and got a Coke, which I do not even drink. Bars: Probably the best service on a resort. Bartenders rotated service on a regular basis so you never had to wait too long. Much friendlier in the lobby bars as opposed to the beach bars. Entertainment: The Iberostar Punta Cana (IPC) and Dominicana (ID) both had nice nightly entertainment. The staff were friendly and provided a happy environment. The Star Band was very good at IPC and the live shows at ID were good as well. No complaints in this area. On resort survey: Very poorly done. This was the ONLY day that anybody in the resort volunteered extra customer service (offered to drive you anywhere all day long) and main buffets cared about handling their clients. While I was trying to complete the resort survey, I was interrupted at least 5 times by someone telling me to give them a good review. The manager/supervisor did so much as to stand at my table and read my review and while I turned it over he asked me what I was hiding and was I giving him a bad review. Unbelievable. The next day the service went back to what it was before “survey day” and nobody volunteered drives or cared about your happiness in the buffet restaurants. So blatantly obvious. Size: The resort is HUGE and far too busy for us. We never could get a seat at the poolside and fortunately they put down more umbrellas at the beach so we were able to get seats there on a daily basis. Recommendation: I would never return to this resort. More $$$ does not mean better value for the money. Our previous experience at Iberostar Costa Dorado in Puerto Plata was fantastic value for money (about $500 per person cheaper) but definitely not this Iberostar resort. Iberostar Costa Dorado was far less money per person + we got an ocean view room, which faced directly onto the ocean!!!

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Fantastic place

Grounds are beautiful, lots of new plants/trees etc. since hurricane, once they mature it will be gorgeous! Resort is perfect size, never had to reserve a chair although that didn’t stop some crazy people from reserving a cabana with their towel and proceeding to lay a lounge chair on top of it in the cabana! Food was decent. You know going in it’s not going to be like home but the seafood was really good. You can certainly find something to eat for a week, and for those who complain cons [... read more]tantly about the food I would say you are focused on a food holiday and maybe a cruise is the way to go, I was here for the beaches and beautiful water. The Japanese and French a la cartes were the best. Ketchup was hit and miss, no Diet Coke, and watermelon was the only fruit we ate, however the coffee/cappuccinos are amazing! It’s true they do not have facecloths so prepare for that. We would walk to Playa Pillar beach, it’s a bit of climbing rocks and substantially easier at low tide but we went whenever. Unless you are unfit or have mobility problems, anyone can walk there along the beach, runners would be best but we managed with flip flops too. We loved this place and definitely will be back.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Great resort

This hotel is the perfect size, not too big, not too small. The grounds and common areas of the resort are well maintained for Cuba standards. The staff are friendly, attentive, helpful and accommodating. We had some early isssues with our rooms upon check in but the front staff worked to find us an acceptable solution. The beach and ocean are absolutely stunning. It took my breath away each and every time I saw it. The way to playa pillar is short and by far the most spectacular environment Iâ [... read more]€™ve ever seen in my life. Our family made the walk there and back a daily event.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Cuba vacation

Amazing views, nice beach and pool area. Friendly staff. We had some bumps with check in as our flight arrived early in the morning (6 am) and check in time is 4 pm, so we had to wonder the halls and grounds till 2 pm when rooms became available.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Fabulous Hotel

We ate, we laughed, we snorkled and swam with the Dolphins!!!! The beach was amazing. The water was crystal clear and warm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Resort was awesome. Will be back soon.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Awesome resort!

This was our 2nd stay at this beautiful resort. The staff are awesome, the food is great and the drinks are plentiful. The staff can not do enough to make your stay a great one. One very big bonus is that the resort is only about 20 minutes from the airport, but you do not hear any airport noise. We hope to return to this resort again in the future.
