Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Good Resort, Would only do Royal Service

The overall trip was good. I would only recommend going if you upgrade to royal service. The non royal service side you could never find a chair by the pool and sometimes find a chair by the beach. The royal service gave you two additional pools and a private portion of the beach that was less busy. Although I recommend the royal service side, I wouldn’t expect much from the butler. The butler at this resort was useless. I have stayed at Melia’s were the butler was amazing. Our butler  [... read more]“joel” never came to ask how anything was, if we needed him we would have to find him. We would ask for something and then he would forget and we would have to ask again. He basically showed us our room day 1 and left us alone. I wasn’t expecting much, but it would be nice if they would check on you to see how things were. Overall food is typical Cuba food.

Memories Cayo Largo: Great Little Resort

Fantastic Beach with or without swimsuits ! Food was reasonable, easy trek from airport. Just a nice inexpensive trip in the sun. This is a place that I would return to in a heartbeat and consider 2 weeks next time. The C/O beach fills up early with towels and t-shirts placed on the lounges. While we were there from Jan 11-18 2019, they painted up new signs saying no reserving sunbeds the day or night before (you could pay a few pesos earlier in the week for the privilege but no more). So you  [... read more]had to get up early and grab a coffee and go for a little walk to find a palapa and a couple chairs. Buffet was open for breakfast and dinner only. Lunch was available at the beach restaurant or the pool snackbar, both fine.

Melia Cayo Coco: Second home-been 20+ times

The resort is always making improvements. They are always attentive to their guest needs. Food is the best you can get in Cuba. The rooms and resort are very clean. Looking to book our next trip likely in March or April.

Melia Las Antillas: Truly a very nice resort

We have been to Melia Las Antillas many times and we love the location of the resort and the size of the resort, it is not too small and not too big. The staff are excellent, they are truly amazing people. It is like home away from home. We did find this time round that the food was not as good as usual. However, all in all it was a great place to be. We were a bit annoyed that we specifically ask for and pay for a bungalow garden view room and we were put into the hotel for our first ni [... read more]ght and did not get into our room until the next day in the early afternoon. To my understanding we pay a little extra for the garden view room and think there should be some adjustment for the inconvenience of having to stay in the hotel for the evening. Having said all that, again we LOVE people at this resort all the staff including the gardeners as well. Very very nice and friendly people. You cannot ask for much more than that.

Melia Cayo Coco: Loved Melia Cayo Coco

We just returned from our Jan 8-16th 2019 trip to the Melia Cayo Coco. Rooms were clean. Beach was beautiful soft white sand and seaweed was combed daily. Food was good, excellent selection. We heard from others that the food was the best in Cuba of any resort they have stayed at. The pool was quiet and it was always easy to find a lounge chair. Nightly entertainment and music/singers were wonderful! Overall a great value! we would return again. one word of advice- One day it rained like crazy and afterward huge swarms of mosquitos came out and bit all the guests very badly. This only happened once after heavy rain so bring bug spray with DEET just in case. Also stay off the beach at night to avoid sand flea bites. Follow these rules and you'll have no issue. Bring ear plugs if you're noise sensitive - If your room backs onto the pool or 24 snack bar is can get a little loud from late night guests and frogs in the lagoon

Melia Las Antillas: Lovely but older resort

Room was very spacious and clean. Beach was beautiful! The a la cartes were amazing! Buffet was ok. We could always find something to enjoy! The bread was amazing! Staff was very friendly! We would return to this resort!

Sol Varadero Beach: Fun unlimited

Friendly people, scenic place and lots to explore within. And ofcourse great food and drinks. Enjoyed every moment. Evening show was amazing. Kids loved the activities at day care. Wished we could spent some more days.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: AMAZING

Had an absolutely wonderful time at the resort to celebrate a friend's birthday. Made arrangements in advance with the hotel for the celebration, and they did it up terrific at the Hilltop restaurant. Staff were superb in every way. No comments about the buffet, I simply wont eat at any buffet. If you like extra spicy food, remember it is a resort needing to keep most people happy...bring your own hot sauce as we did. Lobster was abundant, and done very well. The evening shows were quite good. Don't miss the water ballet! Only thing I am sorry for is that I did not discover the singing server in the lobby bar until the last night. Stunning voice! If you don't want to be disappointed in your stay in Cuba, this is where you should be.

Melia Marina Varadero: Best resort we've been to in Cuba!

My bf and I went to this resort in January 2019 and it was wonderful! We both have been to Cuba several times and the food was always gross and bland. We brought a bunch of condiments and spices this time to add to the food but were so shocked we never needed it! The food was the best food we've ever tasted in Cuba. The resort was clean and pretty well kept. It may not be equal to a 5 star in richer countries but best resort we've been to in Cuba! The beach was beautiful.... Melia Las Antillas: Awesome resort

The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. Variety of food. Shrimp, mussels, crab were a treat to have. If you like spicy food there were sauces to add. Room was large and very clean. Staff very friendly. Beach was the best. White sand and could walk long distance. Entertainment at night was good at the bar and outdoor terrace. Over all great vacatiion

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Piano Bar is a MUST!!

I travelled alone and felt completely safe! Wonderful staff and good selection of food! Within 5 min walking distance of 3 year old mini mall and marina! Everything was kept clean and fresh! Variety of entertainment was great! Sometimes singing, sometimes dancers, sometimes a rock band! I would definitely recommend this place!

Sol Cayo Coco: Going back for sure!

There were no insects except mosquitoes for 30 minutes at dinner time which were easily avoidable! The food was the best it's ever been and the beaches immaculate. The staff were amazing and I will be returning!

Melia Marina Varadero: Big lie

We were so disappointed with the services room conditions with broken bed and table old stuff in the room and restaurants food they were a disaster this cooks they were very young with no experience and very ignored in the food industry everything was total upside down and worse than everything serving the food while they were supposed to discard it the girl restaurant was close and some parts of hotel have to pay and more more......... We were there in 7 of Jan to 14 and never ever go back Cuba

Melia Jardines del Rey: Disaster! the no "pan" Spanish for bread - Hotel

The only nice feature of the hotel is the entrance lobby. It is unfortunate that many hard working staff members are subjected to the problems in management of this property. Unable to get bottles of water stocked in the bar fridge on a regular basis. If you are not in your room, it doesn't happen. Beach towels that look like they have been used to mop the floor. When you ask for a different one, they don't have any. Sliding doors and safes that don't work. How do you lock up your v [... read more]aluables in such a room? Shower floor that tilts away from the drain, bringing water out into the bathroom. No water to take a shower in the evening. X2 Buffet restaurant opens at 7pm at 7:10pm no longer accepting guests because its full. Line ups for 30-45 minutes to get simple slices of pizza, eggs for breakfast. The list goes on. In contrast, Melia Cayo Coco, 20 minutes by bus, on a day pass was excellent. Go figure. In summary, management has lost control of repairs and maintenance, and general service quality on this expansive property. Too big and too many guests to manage. And finally, yes, they often don't have bread, (No "pan") and or oil and vinegar for salads. If your brave enough to try this place, bring your own, including lots of mosquito repellent. Cheers!

Paradisus Varadero: Pretty good for Cuba standards.

Large resort, huge pools, nice grounds, nice large rooms with fridge and drinks. Right on the beach, which was shallow and very safe. Waters were calm or small waves. Great sunsets. Resort was very clean everywhere. Staff friendly and very courteous. Good entertainment with professional guest entertainers every night. Food was tasty and abundant, but quite repetitive. Lacked fresh greens. That's Cuba. Variety of foods is limited in Cuba. If choosing Cuba, go with an open mind. The [... read more]ir resources are limited and their standards are different. A word of caution. Avoid the beach early morning and late afternoon. My husband and a friend of ours returned home with mosquito-like bites. Apparently they are bites from "sand fleas". Never saw one, but the bites speak for themselves. Very itchy.

Melia Las Americas: Fantastic golf resort.

My first time at this resort and I would go again. Service was very friendly and great. No problem with the food as there was all kind of choices. The room was very clean and bottled water every day. GREAT GOLF COURSE !! Good entertainment every day.Would definitely recommend this resort to my friends.

Memories Cayo Largo: Lovely Week!

The last of the three cayo islands to explore in Cuba and by far our best time to date. Temperatures were in the high 20s (celsius) daily with nothing but sunshine. The hotel itself provided what we need by way of cleanliness and amenities but as others have mentioned, it is tired and past its prime. Postives: Grounds, beach, number of beach loungers, guy that works at the level beach area, a la cart restaurants, distance feom airport, level services, staff, distance to market, housekeeping staff Negatives: distance to havana, market stores, saw a few cockroaches, buffet food. Defintely pay the extra for the level upgrade. Extra $35 cuc pp

Melia Marina Varadero: Great Resort

Hotel looked amazing, good facilities with very friendly staff and service. Nice pool, easy walk to beach and great resturants for dining.Lots of selection for food. Great view to the Marina from the room, good clean rooms.

Memories Cayo Largo: the beach it perfect

Everythings it very good for what Sol Cayo largo have to offer and that honest review. if u want perfect then do not go there. We would go back agian. love the beach and peoples r so kind and friendly.
