Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Awesome Resort

This was an amazing resort. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help. The food was fresh and tasty. The resort was beautifully decorated and kept clean. I would go back in a heart beat.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Great resort!

The staff certainly make this resort. They ALWAYS have a smile on their face and never say no even though they may not be able to help. Marisol(server @ LaCantina) and Antonio(snack bar bar) really stood out. I don't have anything negative to say, rooms are huge, beds are comfortable, food selection is great. This is a smaller resort so there is no nightclub and it is off the beaten path so it's quiet. Samba Vallarta: Reasonable at best

From the leaky toilet to getting charged 40.00 per night extra to get a balcony, the Samba Vallarta was a let down. Staff was great but lied to by the management. We wanted to get moved to a balcony room but was told that the resort was full. We later talked to a staff member about why the beach restaurant was closed that evening. We were informed that the resort was only 52% full so they always close the beach restaurant. They finally moved us for the last 3 nights of our stay to a balcony room [... read more] for 120.00. Beach bar closes at 6pm .If you want to socialize in the evenings you have to hang in the hotel lobby....yes, the hotel lobby with no view of the ocean.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: This real mexico and very friendly

Well I have been coming for ten years and the people are great and the service is outstanding. The town is absolutely amazing and still remember us every year. The hotel is a 3 star but to us is perfect. If you want to have the real mexico experience this the place to come to. Do not be concerned for your safety here. Always ask your travel agent for any information if you want a specific room or any other questions. Enjoy the De Cameron los cocos and have a cervaza on the ocean.

Samba Vallarta: Great for Seniors

If you are travelling with small children or are over 65, then this is the resort for you. If you are anywhere in between , then pick another resort. Pretty much all the activities are for children under 12 and that includes the "disco". There is a nice restaurant/bar on the ocean side and by the pool that closes at 6pm. If you want a drink after that there is a small bar by the restaurant in front of the kids disco ( no seating , just standing) or a enclosed lobby bar for those who like to go t [... read more]o mexico and sit indoors. There is one buffet restaurant and 2 a la carte restaurants, however, if the hotel is less than 80% occupied, they do not open the second restaurant, First time I have been to an all inclusive where there is nothing to do after 6pm except have dinner. The resort is in desperate need of maintenance and cleaning. Our rooms had mold on the backs of the curtains and in the bathrooms. Sinks and showers took 20 minutes to drain but the toilet was a continual leak onto the floor .At the time of our booking, there was no mention anywhere that to have a balcony it was an upgrade. Web site just said some rooms with balcony. That was disappointing. Took us 3 days to get rooms with balconies ( at an additional charge of $45.00 per night) . Desk staff told us they were full but the Security people told us the hotel was at 52% occupancy ( hence the one restaurant being closed) All the bar and restaurant staff were excellent and the food was good.

Riu Vallarta: Cant ask for more

Good Hotel, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Nicely set up with everything close by. Walk down the beach to see the turtles nesting... and maybe get to see baby turtles making there way to the sea!

Crown Paradise Club: amazing resort!

Great for families! We loved it. There is something for everyone! It is well maintained. All the staff is very friendly. The bar service is a little slow but that is looking for something to complain about!

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Beautiful Resort

The grounds, rooms very clean. Great service and the they were always cleaning. The French restaurant was ok, they gave you only a tablespoon of mashed potatoes that were spread around on the plate. They were very good but not enough

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Would never recommend this hotel.

Rooms were dirty - dust everywhere, no cold water in the sink, very very luke warm water for showering - except for one day where the water was scalding so hot had to wet the facecloth and let it cool down then basically sponge bath. Never left toilet paper. Fridge didnt work for 2 days despite phone calls. AC is terrible. Broken table on the deck. Only one chair - deck can't hold more than 1. Cleaning of the room is terrible - one day we left at 8am saw the maid said Ola came back at 4 room sti [... read more]ll not done. One night no top sheet, another night no blanket. Everyone was told something different regarding the a la carte restaruants. If you go on an excursion and have to leave the hotel before 7 there is no where to get anything to eat. However they will make a sandwich for you and charge you $18 ! I talked to the Manager about all of the things that went wrong and he told me "I don't have any record of any of your calls", so he basically called me a liar. I would never ever go back to this hotel or any other Palladium.

Samba Vallarta: sunshine Samba

Is somewhat dated and a bit worn looking but very clean. The beach is great and the pool areas are clean and inviting. The staff is absolutely awesome. Food is good but not a huge variety. Nice small resort.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great Resort

Everything was excellent the restaurant, waiters, very helpful when needed help, room service outstanding. Resort was very well kept clean and secured. I needed help for my Asthma problems, housekeeping helped more than expected. reception desk always tried their best to solve problems. Overall best Resort I have been for Holiday. I will recommend this resort anytime.

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Wonderful reno!

I went to this resort with a couple who have been going for 19 years. I was very pleased to see a totally renovated resort, with friendly staff who smiled and spoke to you like family. The weather was perfect and the special events were done very well. There were many extended families there and they appeared to be having a great time. Something for every age!

Tropicana Hotel: Great Location but getting long in the tooth....

The location is awesome for walking and the grounds are very nice. The standard room we had was very old and dingy. The ceiling was actually gray it was so dirty. The bed was very hard and we finally able to get some foam to to put on top of the mattress. The "box spring" is made of cement with a thin mattress on top...ouch! We tried upgrading 4 times each time telling us to come back in the a.m. as they had blocked a room for us. Each time we went back in the a.m. no one new anything about it.. [... read more]....we gave up!

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: BEAUTIFUL RESORT

I would recommend this resort. The grounds are very beautiful. The pools are stunning. top notch for service & cleanliness. Never a shortage of good food. The location is exceptional - you can walk into the Malecon. The only complaint would be the beach - its very, very rocky.

Royal Suites Punta Mita: Amazing

The whole resort experience was wonderful. Rooms are big Everything is very accessible. Staff is fabulous. Food the best ever. The only think that was a negative is not being able to walk a long ways on the beach Only beach is in front of hotels. It is a bit isolated but bus service is good

Costa Club Punta Arena: Awesome stay

Resort is smaller, cosy, room was a good size with balcony, bed was very comfortable, people are friendly, walking distance to shopping.and flea market. Overall we had a very good stay and would go back.

Riu Vallarta: the grounds

the grounds were really nice the only thing was the elevator close to our room was not working and it made for a bit of a walk every time you needed to go to your room I think at night they should have dancing for our age group and the bar open till 100 p.m. for our age the disco is for the young crowd they should think of having a singing bar for people at night something more than the sports bar

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Top notch family resort

When we first arrived we found the complex to be quite daunting in size, but after a short walk to the furthest building we realized it was perfect. The complex is divided into 6 buildings with rooms. They are all 3-4 stories and only one or two of them have elevator access. The Rooms are nice and simple but the wall are very very thin and your neighbors will be able to hear your every move and conversation. There are many many places to get food and there is quite a surprising variety to choose from depending which restaurant or buffet you choose. The quality of the food depends on where and when you get it and varies from dish to dish, but overall the food was great. The activities and animation team did a great job of entertaining the guests the entire week and the activities are clearly posted on a board to let you plan your day accordingly. There are great tennis facilities, bike rentals, kayak rentals all free of charge. Five pools scattered about the complex for easy access. A nice spa in the back corner but we did not use their services. Beautifully landscaped walking paths from building to building and the beach area. A beautiful complex. Late night disco with pool tables and every night around 9 there is entertainment at the theatre. The shows are put on very well and is great for families with slightly older children. The town of Bucerias is just a short walk away and many bars cater to the needs of every North-American sports enthusiasts. The staff is extremely friendly and the people of Mexico were kind and welcoming. I would definitely go back. Just be prepared to do a bit of walking around.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Better than expected

All aspects were great. The French restaurant was exceptional. The staff was very attentive to our needs for everything. We loved the long secluded beach and had fun in the surf. Being able to enjoy this resort that is just 1 year old was a real treat!

The upgrades to the guest rooms were amazing - could not rate the staff highly enough - the restaurant food - all of them - offered a great variety of food and the service was great as well - staff go overboard to please & be helpful
