Royalton CHIC Antigua: Not what was expected !!!!!

Went to this hotel expecting a 3 star. Its more like a 2. Curtainsi n room are filthly about 6 inches lay on the floor. Grounds are not kept up . That would make a big difference . Grass is long finally after 4 days they trimmed around stuff. Food was good buut kept running out. Would have to wait for it to be refilled . Not enough waiters and staff to clear tsbles. They tried to keep up.People were covered in bites. From what???? And i mean covered ..top of legs to ankles. Saw room doors ope [... read more]n in sections spraying ??? Heard people say they had cockroaches in their rooms. We did not see any.Jamaican soceer team left hotel it was so bad and went to another hotel.

Royalton CHIC Antigua: Fun in the Sun

Hotel in desperate need of repair! Paint and concrete peeling from walls. Bathrooms ceilings peeling from water stains and sinks cracked. Toilet leaked and found puddles on the floor when we woke up in the morning. Lights and fans need to be cleaned as they are very dirty. Some staff were friendly like Erl beach bar, Debbie front desk, Michael mgr and Malica nicest smile ever and always happy! Food was good and no complaints. Awesome beach and warm water. Jolly Beach Antigua: Fun place

This is my forth time at Jolly Beach. Although this is just a 3 star the staff are more like a 4.5 star staff. All are friendly and helpful. The rooms are small and the buildings are older but clean. Overall we love visiting Antigua and Barbuda

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Beautiful 5 star resort

We upgraded to the diamond club and the butler service alone was worth it. Thanks to Tony, Samoy and special K for excellent customer service. They take care of any request you may have. Food was Excellent. Rooms were spotless, beds very comfortable. The entire resort is kept spotless. The ocean is Crystal clear and the beach has powder white sand. Nice size beach for walking and sea shell hunting. We had some excellent customer service but also some very poor customer service. We were asked for our feedback several times so they are working on fine tuning service.Don't let that deter you 5 star resort loved it.

The Verandah Antigua: Pretty neat place

In all honesty we were a little disappointed with the grounds, but realistically and to be honest we are used to Sandals resorts , this resort has the ability to grow on you while you are there . The staff one of the best we’ve ever experienced. The scenery was amazing , by the end of our week we weren’t ready to go.

Pineapple Beach Club: relaxing vacation

room was clean but small, requested a King bed but the super saver room had a double. Lots of stairs, so if you have issues request a lower room. We were in the 308 which is up above the reception far away from pool beach and restaurants. Buffet food was good, lots of choices, we ate at the Pineapple grill once and loved it. Staff were all friendly and helpful, grounds were kept clean, beautiful beach. Would go back, but would suggest the Beach front or ocean front rooms.

Pineapple Beach Club: Pinapple Beach Club Resort

Loved the food, loved the room and the workers were so friendly. Had a really nice 30th Wedding Anniversary. Thanks to one and all at Pineapple. Also, the beach were so nice and the sand wasn't hot to walk on and was really cushioned under your feet.

Jolly Beach Antigua: Beautiful beach impeccable service

Resort is dated however very clean and grounds well maintained food was good variety was limited but still plentiful beach was the best my biggest complaint was with the huge price drop and felt I overpaid totalling 600.00 difference which is substantial

Sandals Grande Antigua: Great Beach! no seaweed and the sand was very soft.

My wife and i have just returned from this resort and had a wonderful time. The resort was beautiful and the beach was amazing. The food was good but lacked the options that the Sandals in Barbados offered. All in all it definitely is a 5 star resort and the Staff were incredible.

Jolly Beach Antigua: The beach makes up for the hotel

This hotel is in desperate need of upgrades, HOWEVER we didn’t go to stay in our tiny rooms all day. We made do and it was initially shocking how small the rooms were but it got better throughout the week. The beach is amazing and very long, the beach grill was delicious everyday. The buffet was a little repetitive but no one starved. And the food was good as well were the a la cartes. Our favourite was the Mexican. You will not get a day of reservation because no matter one they’re “full”. I don’t suggest this hotel for a fun romantic getaway but for a girls trip this hotel was great.

The Verandah Antigua: Think twice !!!!

Overly large cumbersome to get around , no bar services on the beach and the surcharge restaurant Nicole’s in not worth the value . Check in was easy , we were dropped off at our villa by a staff member in a golf cart with no Orientation to the room. We were left standing at the front porch with our suitcases. The beach was a small cove full of ants and the water was warm and murky. The worst part of all this beside the beach there was construction happening. It was noisy dusty loud and not private at all. Felicia our travel agent through TripCentral.ca should have informed us that that there were limited restaurants ,bars open. And a charge of 42.00 USD for internet the week ! Resort does not work in arm bands, so every time you were ordering all your room number across the bar. Yelling your room number across the bar presents a security issue for guests, they need to rethink this. Throughout the week week we had power outages which wrecked my CPAP machine!!!! However the staff were friendly and attentive and booking excursions and à la cart restaurants was efficient and easy. We spent a few days over at the pineapple resort which had a better beach and easier to get around. On the way home we sat beside the travel agent, she was mentioned that the Veranda is having a difficult time filling their rooms because of poor reviews .We met a lot of people from the UK who mentioned how disappointed they were with the resort. Many guests felt that the price point did not match the quality of service. I was so disappointed with our stay there, I will not be recommending this resort to any friends or family.

Lots of fun excursions!! We enjoyed the beautiful people of Barbuda witch should be advertised a lot more .. the resort was beautiful and the staff were great lots of drinks and weed it. was a very safe island

I've been at this resort seven years ago Somehow previous memories washed away with time... Nowaday I'm a bit more experienced traveler and can say a bit more: Room a cozy, but definately enough for two. Although our stay was the beginning of May and we expected things to not be completed as we were warned ahead of time, we didn't quite expect our stay to turn out the way that it did. We had many issues during our stay, and to this day they haven't been resolved. The resort definitely has potential, the staff was extraordinary and extremely polite. Communications at this resort are very poor, management needs some serious work on customer service skills. The minor things that we were told about prior to travel that could be overlooked and accepted did not include the loud construction right outside of our room, an inaccessible patio due to construction dust and workers constantly starring, the view of the mountain which also included construction workers, johnny on the spots and all construction tools/equipment. brown water, no hydro, no maid service, 2-4 hour waits for dinner, bars not being re-stocked which led to limited drink service, beach umbrellas that weren't properly anchored in the sand which led to injuries on windy days to name a few. The resort definitely had it's perks and I am sure the longer they are open the more things will be perfected and it will be a beautiful 5*

Jolly Beach Antigua: Great vacation!

This resort was well maintained, all staff from entertainment crew, servers, bar tenders, maid, reception, etc were all happy and helpful. Rooms need updating, but the beach is stunning and where most time should be spent anyhow! Good mix of people from Europe, North America, etc. of all ages

Jolly Beach Antigua: Awesome resort!

Very friendly staff! Loved that we had a song every morning at breakfast. Grounds were kept clean and tidy, More air conditioned areas would be appreciated as everywhere is open. The bathrooms in the rooms are small and could use some updating. Pool bar could be updated with maybe a thatched roof and a nice seating area at the bar itself. Garbage was left in the middle of the small round tables in the pool bar area. Maybe this could be cleaned up more often. Birds seem to be a hu [... read more]ge problem in the eating areas but not sure how that can be fixed. Would definitely come back to this resort! Loved the way the resort was laid out.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Royalton resort that is getting better everyday

With all of the negative reviews we were very hesitate to go to the Royalton Antigua. Thankfully we didn't listen to those individuals who were upset as we had a great time. As a new hotel they seem to be doing very well with how they are managing all of the growing pains. They were ready to listen to my feedback and I believe they want to get it all right. My biggest issue was a few members of there staff. We seemed to be a bother and were downright rude. The majority of the staff are amazing and our butlers were out of this world. Kanna and Khem made sure we had everything we could ever want. These two individuals are a huge asset to Royalton and made are vacation a treat. We felt the money we spent on Diamond Club was well worth it and enjoyed all of the perks that went along with it. If you have an open mind and can handle the odd hiccup book this place and enjoy the amazing amenities and incredible beach. I would go back next week if I could. Worst part of the trip was Sunwing changing are direct flight where we had to go to Montreal to pick up passengers first. It added about 2 and half hours to our trip. I hope to never fly Sunwing again in my life.

Galley Bay Resort and Spa: Fabulous resort

This resort was amazing. The grounds were beautiful and immaculate. The food was great and the drinks were top notch. The staff were very friendly and always greeted you with a smile. Our room was right on the beach. The snorkelling right off the beach is amazing. You are provided with snorkel gear in your room. I would recommend this resort to everyone.
