Riu Palace Antillas: Rui Palace Antillas is awesome

Our room was 527. in hindsite I would pick a room higher up to get a better view. the 5th floor was the first floor with rooms on it. When we got our room we found that the safe didn't work (wouldn't lock) and the patio door didn't lock and the thermostat kept reverting to 17 degrees even after you changed it to 20 degrees. So we called the front desk and they did send someone right way (within 20 min) and he fixed the safe. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff did a great job of fixing up the room each day. the grounds were lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed watching the iguana scurrying on the grass. I would say that the grounds and lobby of the Rui Palace Aruba next door were more glamourous than ours but both were really nice. The location on the beach was perfect. the beach sand is beautiful and white and not hot on your feet. There is a walking path down the beach at the edge of the resorts so it is nice for checking out all the other resorts.The Rui end of the beach is less crowded than the other end of the beach which we really liked. Yes, it Is very windy in Aruba but it didn't distract us from having a great time (and kept us cool) The beach area always had areas to lounge and the staff would pull out loungers and put them wherever you wanted. Very courteous. The pool areas were awesome as well. Even though people would reserve there loungers with towels there were always spots available. there was entertainment by the pool and music during most of the day. There are 4 a la carte restaurants at the resort at opened at 6:30. You could line up prior to that if you wanted to get in for the first seating. We chose to go down at 6:35 pick up a beeper for the second seating. The food at the a la carts was very good (tasty) The buffet restaurant was way better than I expected. The food was really great and the selection was wonderful. there was an omlet station in the morning and at dinner time it was usually a stirfry station, lots of salad stations and a variety of foods for different tastes. All fantastic. Over all would give the food and A+. There was entertainment each evening at the resort but I have to admit that we didn't go see any of it (too tired at the end of the day) We booked 2 excursions with our Sunwing rep. A catamaran snorkel trip and a UTV excursion across the island. Both were excellent and worth the money in my opinion. We really enjoyed our time at Rui Palace and would recommend to others.

Divi Aruba Beach Resort: Gorgeous beachfront resort!!

A wonderful 5 nights here! Great food! Beautiful pools! Fabulous evening music & bands!! Steps to pure white sand beach & turquoise ocean!!:) would definitely return and tell all our friends!! Friendly staff!!

Tamarijn Beach Resort: Beautiful resort on the ocean

The rooms are nice & clean almost in need of an update. The view is amazing and you walk outside and the ocean is right there. The buffets are good as are the restaurants. Lots to do such as excursions, shopping, entertainment at the resort. We love it there.

Riu Palace Aruba: Overall - Good

Coming in the foyer is spectacular, bars are very good, we were in the north side facing pool and ocean view room which was very basic. Pools were awesome’s. Weather was perfect no rain 30 degrees and above all week, one thing though, it’s very windy. The beach was a bit disappointing because the sand had a lot of broken shell in the sand which means that with the wind it’s very scratchy to the skin, water is turquoise and very nice. Amazing food all week at the buffet (Friday night bu [... read more]ffet is not to be missed for seafood lovers), steakhouse restaurant is average, Italian restaurant is average, but cannot comment on the restaurant Crystal because did not go. Since this was a family resort I found the section for toddlers was very limited and the small pool was the size a bit bigger than a car tire. If I had kids of age 7 and older I would definitely go, but if only me and my husband, we would choose an adult only resort.

Riu Palace Aruba: RIU Aruba Review

We found the hotel, room, beach and grounds very good. We had the dinner buffet once but went out for dinner all other nights. We had breakfast and lunch at the resort. Breakfast was quite good but the lunch was not fantastic. The wait staff were good. The one criticism that we have is that people went out in the morning very early to throw a towel or a hat on the prime spots chairs with shade on the beach. We rented for US$25 per day our own chairs and beach umbrella from a private contract [... read more]or right in front of the hotel. The hotel should have a system for reserving chairs and umbrella's and charge a nominal fee for it to avoid this type of a free-for-all.

Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort: A different type of all-inclusive that you need to experience

Not your typical all inclusive resort. This property is very much a hotel on a street with some very unique features and amenities that set it apart from most other hotel / resorts. We enjoyed our stay. Aruba is amazing, the people are amazing and the food was out of this world. Don't be afraid to venture off into Oranjestad for dinners and entertainment!! You will not be disappointed here. Restaurants, bars & service are excellent you never have to wait for a table. Standard guest rooms are small but adequate. The front desk staff were not my favorite people to deal with. Upon arrival, we waited nearly 30 minutes to check in. It wasn't a big lineup but we were continuously bypassed by Marriott "Platinum Elite" members. This was frustrating and in my mind unacceptable. Our room key cards were disabled 8 times during our 7-day stay. Returning to the front desk to get new key cards was a pain & typically resulted in some lame excuse about a "system upgrade". They were argumentative, cold and offered very little to our experience. A great trip nonetheless.

Divi Aruba Beach Resort: Relaxing resort

The overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The staff was very friendly. However, the fact that the Wi-Fi connection almost never worked in our room was quite frustrating. We also feel that the resort (rated 4 star) should stock the fridge in the rooms with soft drinks. There were also some piles of unsightly construction materials on the grounds close to our room.

Riu Palace Antillas: Great Resort

The hotel, amenities, food and drinks were great. The cafeteria and restaurants were very good and service was great. Our room door card scanner wasn’t working properly the last couple of days and we had issues trying to fix it. Other than that we were disappointed that we did not have the type of room that Susan told us we had.

Holiday Inn Resort Aruba: We'll be back!!

Just came back three days ago from an amazing trip in Aruba. It is our first time in Aruba and we just loved it. Although Holiday Inn is just your average hotel/resort, it met our needs. The room is very clean, the resort itself is kept tidy at all times. We did not take the all-inclusive which we thought was the right decision because we tried out different restaurants every day and have not been disappointed. Riu Palace Aruba: Beautiful resort

Everything is beautiful with this resort, the layout is excellent. We were very happy with our room since. We enjoyed watching the sunset every evening from our room which was a bonus. Food was very good. People working at the resort were very friendly and helpful. The only disappointing thing happened was one of us got food poisoning. We found out later at the airport that more people had gotten sick.

Hotel staff very attentive. Food quality good Food presentation good. Food selection good. Pool was cool, could have been warmer. Activities good. Room needs updating. Beach was beautiful. Lots of places to walk.

Riu Palace Aruba: Great Resort/Good value!

This our second time at the RIU Palace, first time in 2011 and second time Jan 2019. We have been back to Aruba 8 times...best place to visit in Caribbean. The hotel has been renovated very nicely since our first stay. All 5 restaurants, outdoor theatre, sports bar and main lobby have been totally redone in modern decor. All new bathrooms and tiles, coiffured ceilings...no carpeting what’s so ever...no musty smell whatsoever! The food was very good for an all inclusive, service was very good. Specialty restaurants were unlimited and no reservation required. The Tapas restaurant only required men to wear long pants. Entertainment had a good variety and was well appointed with professional dancers and entertainers. Plenty of new beach and pool chairs. I also had a chance to go over to the RIU Antilles and requested to view a standard room. Rooms are older and hallways are musty and not renovated..the view from balcony is also not a clear view to the ocean. Spend the extra money and stay at the Palace. Only negatives are pillows are very small for king size beds and not comfortable. Also hairdryer is a wall mount and not very sufficient.

Kudos to the hotel management and staff who put the wow factor to use from front desk staff to al la cart restaurants to the buffet to the house keeping the pool staff towel and bar staff and beach staff. I have never been more impressed with service

Riu Palace Antillas: Nice getaway but 3 Star Facility

Overall, we enjoyed our trip to this hotel as some of the staff were exceptional (Freddie), courteous (cleaning lady) and helpful (buffet hostesses). Others were not and did not seem to care if we were there or not. The room we had was dated and the bathroom was very small with signs of wear and tear. Their was high humidity in the room despite the air conditioning and small amounts of mold were visible within the room. When we opened the door, we found a woman sleeping in the bed and a clearly occupied room. After promptly shutting the door and going back to the main desk we were given a key to another room and informed that the owner of the first room would no longer have key card access to their room. How is it possible to give out two keys to the same room? No compensation or acknowledgement of the error was given and it was a complete invasion of privacy which should have never occurred. We were appalled. The food was good but limited seating at the restaurants meant that some nights the buffet was the only choice. The beach was nice and at times the pools were a bit dirty but there was always someone cleaning. Management passed around a questionnaire about the facility during dinner at the buffet, this seemed a bit tacky as we paid a large sum of money to be there and it was not the time or place. Overall the Riu Antillis in Aruba is a decent hotel with lots to offer but is in dire need of a renovation and should not be marketed as a 5 star hotel in our opinion.

Riu Palace Aruba: This resort is top notch!!

From the moment you arrive, you can feel the warmth of the staff. The resort is very, very clean. Spotless would be the word! Food is fabulous! Would go back in a flash! The pool area and the beach are very well kept. Everyone is always smiling and happy!

Very clean , very good service ,staff very helpful ,food a lot of choices ,show very interesting beach party was amazing with a good intertainment and good food would be nice if beach party will be at least a few times a week.I definitely will recommended to all my friends and my family and l looking forward to came back soon.

The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious, the staff were friendly and genuinely concerned that everyone had a great experience. I do not eat meat and this resort had many, many options for me - I was never left unsatisfied!

Barcelo Aruba: Fantastic Lively Resort!!

Dec 8-15, 2018. The grounds of resort are very nicely manicured and kept very clean. Bathrooms on resort are kept clean as well as the pool area and beach. Both buffet restaurants were very clean and nicely decorated. Our room was nice, bed and bedding very comfy and cleaned everyday. We found the staff excellent!! Great job!! We loved the lobby where they had live music daily and nice club chairs to gather in as well as the bar area. We give the hotel a 4.5 star, beach a 5 star, and food a [... read more] 4 star. The location of hotel was fantastic with shopping and restaurants and bars right outside front doors. Overall value we believe it was priced a little high as we have been to another resort in Aruba last year with fabulous food and a couple hundred $$ less. Overall we really liked the resort!!

Riu Palace Antillas: Shake your booty!

Pool rocks with boomin music! Classes in pool with enthusiastic leaders who love their job! Great food at the buffett...best desserts ever and a beef wellington that will melt in your mouth! Only one pool, so if u r lookin for quiet downtime...it is not here!! Rooms are clean and great! Aruba is ONE HAPPY ISLAND!

Tamarijn Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort!

The Tamarijn Beach Resort was just beautiful. Very clean resort and hotel rooms. We had an ocean front view room on the 2nd floor and we would totally recommend this, so nice to walk out onto your balcony and see the beautiful ocean and white sands. The buffet & restaurants on site were very good. The nice thing about this resort is that you can also go to the sister resort next door and use their pools and restaurants as well, you just hop on the free shuttle and you are there in 5 mins. Whe [... read more]n they say Aruba is one Happy Island they are not kidding, everyone was happy and very accommodating with directions or a simple question. There are many excursions you can take while you are there, I would highly recommend the Off road Jeep Safari it was just amazing, you stop at 5 different places and you can see the whole island of Aruba!! I would definitely come back here again, I didn't want to leave!!!
