Warwick Paradise Island: Awesome resort

We had a wonderful 7 days at the Warwick resort. The staff was all so friendly and helpful. The rooms comfortable and well stocked with water and coffee. Having 5 different restaurants was great. There was lots of food and choices. It would have been better to have had a beach closer to the hotel. We felt very safe walking to the casino at night.

Warwick Paradise Island: The Little Resort that Could!!

For a couple that usually goes to the large "name brand" resorts we were a little nervous about going to the Warwick (even when we arrived at first glance)....despite it's small "footprint and simplicity" we were nicely surprised...the small footprint actually became my favorite feature... Service - as good as it gets in all areas...staff are not only nice but most have a great sense of humour and want to have fun too Location - good...6 minute walk to bridge/ferry's to mainland...Paradise [... read more] Island itself doesn't have much (except maybe Atlantis and Cabbage Beach) to see Food - compared to other Caribbean resorts it was very good (they even had real cream for coffee!!)...issues as you will see in other reviews about booking the specialty restaurants is true but thankfully the buffet was good for the "off nights"...we did have a horrendous experience at the Italian restaurant but I'm going to assume that it was just a bad night... Rooms - large, simple and very clean....great shower water pressure and great pillows...best TV selection I have ever seen for those of us who like a quick morning and bedtime viewing Beach/pool - as advertised beach is manmade and small but quaint...cabbage beach is great for those who love that thing...they also look after you very well there (transport, booze, snacks and even security) Entertainment - we like "big shows' (cruise a lot) and you will not find that here...but...they try hard and have simple party type venues (e.g. karaoke, casino night, etc) and individual entertainers....guided bike tour is also nice...they did an amazing job for Super Bowl!! (I was planning to go off the resort to a local bar but glad I didn't) Booze - good brands, decent pours...good attitude towards tips (they are appreciated but not made to feel mandatory)….Hog Bar (pool) is the best and contrary to some reviews stays open later than stated (usually 8pm and sometimes later)...wine was actually okay which I don't find everywhere... Overall we found the Warwick a fun place....Definitely would go back!!

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Good

Beautiful beach. Beautiful resort. Ocean view = 5th floor to 9th floor room, we got the 5th floor. :/ Food in general is good, something for everyone. Starbucks on site, reasonable resort level prices for Starbucks. (There is free coffee at the main dining restaurant) Good children's pool with beach entry. Beach is nice, slightly above average for Caribbean islands. Free travel to nearby luxury island - don't fall for people trying to sell you a boat trip. Room had wet carpet when we ar [... read more]rived, not sure what that was about. We let it dry and didn't complain. Bring cash to tip, while not necessary, tipping will get you a smile with service. Travel to airport included. Can walk along beach to Baha Mar if casinos are your thing or want to try different restaurants.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Our Favourite

We have been twice now and love it more every time we go. Friendly staff, amazing food, clean rooms, never a complaint. We will definitely visit again sometime. So much fun !!!! Highly recommended

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Amazing stay!

First time coming since the renovation and it was fantastic. Can’t wait to come back. Food is high quality and all staff members exceeded my expectations. This hotel meets the needs of all guest types.

Breezes Bahamas: Wonderful and personable resort

The best part of the hotel was the entertainment committee, they made the hotel. They kept people active during the day with activities and into the night with entertainment on the stage. The hotel should be proud to have this wonderful group of young adults.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Beautiful resort

Love this resort. Have been 7 times. Never disappoints. You get the same great amenities every time. Everything is so close. You're in very short walking distance to the pool the beach the buffet the coffee shop and the Atlantis Hotel is 60 feet away. There are so many staff that are available to make sure you always have a drink in your hand a towel or anything that you need. I also like the fact that it's not a very far car drive from the airport.

The hotel is elegant and has all the amenities one would expect at a world class four star property. I he rooms are well appointed and th ocean views are spectacular. All rooms have balconies. The adult swim up bar pool is a happy place with a DJ that keeps everything moving to great beats. For the kids there is a kids club and a pool for families. The night shows are well done and appeal to everyone. The water sport are amazing. Canoes, kayaks are complimentary and wave runners are available 1 [... read more]00 feet along the beach. My daughter and I loved the SeaDoos and raced over surf and visited two other islands. Onsite Majestic tours has an array of trips off site and the biggest hit is swimming with the pigs and sharks in Exuma. This is a vacation for all when her your single, a couple or a family. Whether you're 8 or 80. It's better in the Bahamas!

The Royal at Atlantis: Disappointed

Horrible Service, Horrible Rooms We had to upgrade to the Cove as the room that we were placed in smelled like smoke. My kids ended getting sick. This hotel doesnt meet my standards nor should it meet Tripcentrals.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Good for R&R

I went to this resort as it's one of the few all inclusives in the Bahamas. There was a good variety of restaurants, with decent food, and the beach was GORGEOUS. My 2yr old loved the kiddie pool. It's a solid 4-star!

Warwick Paradise Island: Wonderful vacation on Paradise Island

We had a king room with water view facing the harbour with many boats constantly traversing and a view of the docked cruise ships. The hotel was as advertised and we were very pleased with our room. The pool and chaise lounges were always available so no complaints. The food and service was excellent especially in the Verandah buffet restaurant. In fact it rivalled the a la carte restaurants which were sometimes lacking.....salads, desserts were very good but the main entrees in both the Abecco  [... read more]and Edgewater were often over-cooked or bland. Loved the nightly entertainment and because this resort is smaller, we were able to meet and mingle with guests from England, Canada and the U.S. Really liked staying on Paradise Island which is very clean, and felt safe. We explored the island and took both a taxi and a ferry to the main island of New Providence. Lots of shops for souvenirs and highly recommend the Pompay Museum (history of the Bahamas and slavery) and the National Art Gallery.

Breezes Bahamas: Second Time's a charm!

We first went to Breezes in 2012 and loved it! We decided to go back Jan 19-26 and it was even better than the first time! The people are still amazing and the location couldn't be better. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurants. We tried all 3 and were very impressed, especially with the steak! If you go to Garden of Eden, make sure you get Adam's Loin for an appetizer, so good! Amazing staff at all of them but would like to mention great service received from Alvano, Mark and She [... read more]lly! New to us this trip was the beach cabanas. They are an additional charge of $50/day but come with a beach butler who will bring you drinks and food all day long. G was amazing and made sure we never were without a drink, even bringing them before we asked. Brittney was also very good and attentive. The weather was a little cooler a couple of days so we brought our party to the hot tub and had a blast! Met so many great people from all over!! We went to the casino at the Baha Mar next store and it was amazing! Free drinks while gambling and they are very strong with high end liquor (the only downside of Breezes from the last time we went is the quality of the liquor). Even if you don't gamble, you should still go check out this hotel. It is beautiful, but very pricey :) The shuttles go back and forth from Breezes every 15 minutes. Would definitely go back to Breezes!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Honest Review

Service excellent Room cleanliness: satisfactory. Hair on toilet, washroom, hair dryer on arrival. Not cleaned well. Toilet: When flushing, it doesn’t flush completely. Need new system. A magot in toilet found. Hotel: Smells aged, musky rooms. Food: Excellent Pools: Nice. Infinity pool a bit too crowded and small. Activities: Need indoor playroom for bad weather. Maybe a pool table would be good. Entertainment: Satisfactory. I liked the variety.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Amazing food quality, great beach, and surprising extras!

It was a 15 min shuttle ride to the hotel from the airport. We took Sunwing and had no issues. Check in was straight forward. Note, they will take, $200 deposit on a credit card and I think they made copies of our passports (took them to the back and then came back). Our room was ready at 11am (bonus). All rooms face the ocean we were on the 5th floor and our king bed room was great. The toiletries were a decent size and replenished daily, the mini bar and water were included and restocked daily [... read more] (Heineken and they even put some chip snacks), coffee maker, better than average hair dryer too. Room was always cleaned and was clean, modern, and kept up. To go in the elevator to your room you have to scan your card. Pillows were too soft for my liking, but my son loved them. WiFi was FREE in the room, all over the property, at the beach, at the gym etc. What a great bonus! The lobby area smelled fresh every morning (bleach clean), the property isn't as big as other resorts in the caribbean, but I guess it's because Bahamas is smaller? Not complaining. There was an adult pool, kids pool, two hot tubs near the beach. Lots of chairs and shaded areas. No one bothering you to pay to move your chairs. Water activities included are stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. All equipment was in good condition. Their beach water area was roped off which I quite liked. The beach was white sand, minimal seaweed, water was a little cold, but fine after entering. The food was amazing! Ok, they have the main buffet area on the first/ground floor and was not bad for breakfast. The usual stuff, good quality fruit, smoothies made on the spot, yogurts etc. The Beach Grill was great for lunch. They take your order so no risk of buffet stuff sitting out too long. I tried the ceviche and mahi mahi fish - amazing! Third best ceviche I've ever had (first is mine of course, second in Galapagos, Ecuador). They have 5 a la carte restaurants. You were allowed to book one for each night you were there (unlike some resorts that limit you to 2 per week in other parts of the caribbean|). We did the steakhouse (the only one that was extra), my son had the steak and said it was great, I had the fish - a bit overcooked and the mac and cheese was tasteless. The italian place was amazing. I had the fettucini and my son had the margherita pizza and it was really delicious. The mexican place was better than I expected. Again, another great ceviche (different from the grill place) and I had the fish. It was much better cooked. They gave us some guag and chips an my son had quesadillas and they were great as well. On the last day we tried the lobby resto EstaVida that serves tapas. It was alright, great ambiance on the nights. The drinks were great. They had premium brands to choose from. The pool bar even had PAPER straws. With all the plastic straw issues, I thought that was an amazing statement to make to your clients. They had ping pong, basketball, and some pool side quizes. In the lobby area next to the Starbucks (yes they have a starbucks - I think it's extra charges) they have a huge connect four, jenga, and board games. The gym was the best to date from all the places I have been to in the caribbean. Modern equipment, good size, many machines. Eliptical trainers, tred mills, arm and leg machines, all weight sizes, TVs, towels, fruit water, yoga mats, etc. It's on the far SE area of the hotel (on first floor - which is kind of their basement area). It's in a secluded area, but there is a phone and a rep came in to check about each hour. There are shops in the lobby area too. Overall, I would recommend this to friends and family and will be back. My picky son liked it the best out of all the times we have done AI too - probably for the wifi. The condition of the hotel is american standards. It doesn't resemble the usual run down hotels we have all experienced no doubt. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. All the staff were friendly and helpful. A true 4 star property.

Warwick Paradise Island: Impressive Customer Service

We didn’t know what to expect from this resort, but for what it is we were satisfied. Food was decent as resort food goes (minus the ice cream machine that never seemed to have ice cream left!), the pool was well taken care of, the beach is nice but it is a small man-made lagoon, drinks were premium brands and generous. The most impressive part was the customer service, the entire staff were friendly and welcoming, always asking how service was or if we had any concerns.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great resort

Hotel was wonderful. Clean exactly as described. Staff was very helpful. Pool and activities were as expected. Atlantis hotel was nice and close. We did find it strange that you can not make reservations for supper. Wait times were too long. We will be visiting another RIU soon. Thank you.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Beautifully Renovated Hotel

My Husband and I took a short trip here last week. The hotel was beautifully renovated, had two nice pools and the beach. The food from the buffet was delicious, and we were always excited about what they would have for each meal as it was always different(which we have found with some other Riu’s That we have stayed in that it can be repetitive. We walked over to the straw market which is their downtown area from the hotel. It was only about a 30-40 minute walk, and it was a decently nice one. Felt safe, and got some exercise in. Could have taken a taxi, but we enjoy seeing a destination for all it is. We did take the ferry back just to enjoy a different view which was only $4 per person a ride. So value for money for sure. However the themed restaurants food weren’t all that exciting, and they don’t take reservations so it’s all on a first come first serve basis. Nothing worth standing around for 45 for. The buffet was much better in my opinion. The beach had a very strong undertow so the 2/3 full days we were there the flag was red and we couldn’t go in the water so it was slightly limited there. Everyone at the hotel was super nice, and friendly. All in all, the value for money was impeccable.

I would fully recommend this resort. the food is amazing the people are great the hotel is very clean the pool is amazing the only think the beach needs to be a little better there is to much of a dip.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Fabulous resort

We loved our stay at the Riu Palace Paradise island. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The resort is beautiful, well laid-out. We loved having the option of the two pools and the beach so close-by. We've been to many resorts and the beach at the Paradise Island is one of the nicest and the staff the nicest. They were just awesome and really made our vacation. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back ourselves.
