Riu Emerald Bay: Well worth the money!
Our group of 10 thoroughly enjoyed the RIU Emerald Bay Resort. We had read a few negative things about the resort, mainly elevator issues. Some people reported waiting up to 20 minutes for an elevator. We were on the 19 floor and did wait a couple of time but not nearly as bad as reported. However, we had requested 2 doubles beds but our request was not honoured. After a lengthy discussion with the front desk we did get it resolved.
Riu Playa Blanca: Good Experience
Myself as well as some family and friends (10 people in total/total of 5 rooms) booked a week stay at this resort. Really my only complaint is that we were told our rooms would be located together - however rooms were located on different and different sides of the resort which was a bit inconvenient. Otherwise the food was good, staff were nice, grounds were lovely.
Riu Palace Aruba: Incredible Resort
First time at a Riu ??? fabulous time. Food was incredible at every meal. Buffet outstanding. Massive pool. Staff beyond friendly and helpful. Awesome sports bar. Great evening entertainment. Beach and water the best. White sand clear wonderful salt waters with staff constantly cleaning and attentive. One safe happy island for sure ??. We will be back ✈️
Riu Playa Blanca: Beautiful resort
We stayed at this resort for the second time this year and we loved it both times. The rooms are spacious and clean, the resort is beautiful and always clean. We had wonderful service and we can't wait to return again next year;)
Riu Palace Aruba: Aruba is awesome!
Rooms were clean. The food was top notch! The air-conditioning was great. We went during Halloween and the decoration of the main buffet was over the top! If you have trouble with stairs, this is not the resort for you! One wing of the resort is finished being renovated. The middle section was under construction while we were there. The third wing will be addressed in the new year.
Riu Guanacaste: Love this resort
I stayed at the main building which was recently renovated, the rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated. The gardens are very well kept. I know that drinks can accidentally get spilled, more maintenance around the pool area is required. The meals at the restaurants were good with the exception of the Steak House. Not worth the line up to get in. Overall it was a great vacation.
Riu Palace Kukulkan: Great resort
Resort was perfect, nice and compact, not overcrowded, food was amazing, especially the Gourmet and Steakhouse. The beach was clean and the water was clear and warm,a little choppy when we got there but was great after a few days, pools were great and no problem getting loungers at all, lastly, the people were amazing from the bartenders to the servers, highly recommend this resort!!!
Riu Emerald Bay: Great deal
We got an awesome deal for one week The hotel was great. Very big. Lots of dinning options. Rooms were dated but ok. The Riu app was not very user friendly. Difficult booking ala carte. Had to log in at 7:00 am to book for the same evening. Restaurants were booked yet when we did go to the Italian when we finally got a reservation it was more than half empty. Grounds were clean. I liked the roped off area on the beach so you were not bothered by all the salespeople. Entertainment in the even [... read more]

Riu Emerald Bay: 3* resort
Very disappointed that we were in a disability room that had so much mold on the walls, resort was not to capacity and still took till late wednesday afternoon to assign us a new room. Told us they would send a bellhop to help us move and no one showed up, we carried everything on our own to a non disability room. Not one apology
Riu Palace Kukulkan: Love this smaller Riu
We enjoyed our time the the Riu Kukulkan…the grounds are easy to get around, restaurants all good LOS…. We booked an elite room and easy to make all our reservations with the app! Be aware they have 8 floors of Elite.. Our Elite room was a bit of a disappointment as the bathroom is poorly designed…. Separate toilet, shower a sinks are “open Concept”. With a very large bathtub in the middle of the room…. Also governer on the TV for volume. Doesn’t go up or down.. all rooms at front face ente [... read more]
Riu Palace Mexico: Amazing resprtI
I visited that hotel over 6 times before, this time everithing was great the same as all previous vacations there. The place oz beautiful, fopd is great, service is perfect. I love the place, will be coming back for sure
Riu Palace Pacifico: very disappointed.
2nd visit. loved it the 1st time Aug/2024, loved the nice quiet relaxed ambiance. very noisy and rody this time. w food bad everywhere. crab claws at buffet was tasteless and meat was mushy. steakhouse either overcooked all the meat, or it was extemely salty. only saving grace was Jonathan A's singing/piano at nite in the lobby. but it was mostly drowned out by all the loud noise and rowdiness. The whole vibe of the place was completely different (good food and quiet and relaxed vibe). th [... read more]
Riu Palace Aruba: Love Love Love
Aruba Ariba! I could go on and on but the highlights - the place was spotless.. the one staff member laughed at me every morning because as much as I tried I couldn’t avoid always catching her mopping and walking on her wet floors.. IYKYK lol Our room was spotless and well serviced every day. The food was good but with only 2 A la carte a night they were pressed for spaces (off season maybe), staff in the Buffet seemed a little light - they looked to be run off their feet but always were polite [... read more]
Riu Palace Bavaro: Beautiful Resort
Absolutely stunning property. Grounds impeccable, rooms beautiful and immaculately clean. Really good food selection in the buffet and a la carte restaurants. Top of the line liquors with excellent service in all areas. Good selection of pools, one for families and one for adults only and a separate pool bar which could be very loud on occasions. Lots of shade on the beach and around the pools, so no necessity to save seats. Very good shows in the evening and we were there 14 days and shows not [... read more]
Riu Playa Blanca: Garden view = construction site
I was very disappointed in my recent trip to the Riu Playa Blanca. I felt overlooked as a tourist compared to the locals. There was segregation within the pool and bar area which I don’t agree with. One pool had locals and one had tourists. The music was also different at each pool. The third floor is under construction and the rooms are dated. The garden view is of a construction site where workers work 6 days a week from 7:00am until sunset. The cleaning is subpar which leads to tourists getti [... read more]
Riu Republica: Riu Republica
While looking in from the outside this place seems great, but take a closer look. Cleanliness issues abound and as a result all 4 people in our party were ill. We think we had food poisoning but can’t be sure. We witnessed staff in the buffet wipe off dirty dishes with a rag and put them back on the table out as a new place setting. In our room the ceiling fan was disgustingly dirty, The tv could not be turned off without unplugging it. The bathroom needs to be disinfected, there were spots a [... read more]
Riu Vallarta: Very nice hotel
Like the layout of the pools and location of restaurants. Hotel foyer and Astoria bar very pleasant. Entertainment crew and staff in general excellent. Been at this resort many times in the past and recommend it .
Riu Santa Fe: Great holiday!
Beautiful resort. Rooms are very modern, everything super clean. Grounds well kept. Food great and lots of choice. Was nervous that it’s known as the party resort and yes it is for those who want it. But lots of quiet spots too. Beach was amazing and the view too. We had partial ocean view
Riu Republica: still the number one party hotel
everything was great , food, ambiance, staff & great vibe & great people. they could do a better way to make reservation at the a la carte restaurants on the resort. but most defintely its an experience that anyone should try at least once :)
