I would first like to thank Krista Shaver for helping us book this amazing vacation. Definitely made things so much easier for us to decide where we wanted to go when she found this amazing deal with Sandals Ochi Beach Resort in St Ann's Bay Jamaica. With her help she made sure we had everything we needed to make this a vacation right from the start. We had upgraded our seats both ways which I would recommend to everyone traveling. Well worth the extra money. We also were told to upgrade to the[... read more] mobay club. Which upon arrival we were greated right when we got off the plane to by pass the very very long line. She had let us know ahead of time that it sometimes could take 2 to 3 hours to get through. Again well worth the extra money. From there we had no issues coming in. All in all this took us about 20 mins max from getting off the plane to going through the airport to enter Jamaica. From there we were taken to the Mobay club were we right away were welcomed by all staff. They offered us a drink of our choice and food. It was nice to sit back and relax while we waited for our ride to the hotel. I had read in some reviews before traveling about some having issues with having to tip people. (Which to us was not the case we did not find that people demanded tips right from the start.) We were called from the lounge they had already had our luggage and were ready to take us to the private car they had waiting outside for us. The guy that helped us with our bags had let us know it was $1 a bag which we had no idea but nor did we have a problem giving him the $1 per bag. This is his way of making a living. We understood and were happy to give it to him. We had the whole car to ourselves which was very nice. The driver was very polite and professional. We were told it would be about an hour and 45 mins to get to the hotel but we were told to relax and enjoy the drive. He was pointing things out to us along the way which was nice to see him show some love about his home town. He did let us know that the best jerk chicken to try was at scotchies. Although we did not have a chance to stop and try it you definitely could tell it was a great place to stop very busy. We made it to the hotel and we're greated right away they took our bags and right away gave us a glass of champagne. We were taken through the lobby for a short walk through the garden area to the next building were our room would be. Room was very decent nice and clean. Nice little patio area overlooking the hillside. We ended up at the reef Terrance for dinner that night. Amazing food and a beautiful view to overlook the ocean while you eat. That evening we went down to the ocean bar which is were we needed up most nights before heading off to bed. Food review again there was not a bad meal that we had amazing food at all places that we ate at. We had sky terrance and vista gourmet, Valentinos twice it was that good, the southern table which had the best ribs, kelly's dockside seaside bar and grill that was our last dinner on the beach the Monday night before leaving for home on Tuesday. Tapas on the riviera if you want to grab a quick bite to eat this was the place. Dino's pizzeria pool side which you could order and take to go. Everyday we would see people taking pizza boxes to the beach. Nice little treat. By far though my favourite place would have to be the kimonos oriental cuisine where they cook infront of you. So much fun and a very tasty dinner. The jerk shack on the hillside was very nice for their fish sandwich they had different specials everyday. Nice quick lunch. Drinks were all premium labels as well as there own too. They were not shy when it came to pouring you a drink. Doubles all around. Wine selection was nice for the house all Robert Mondavi. Our favourite after dinner spot though was the rabbit hole. Be sure to ask for the password every night. This place did not disappoint. Service show and drinks all amazing. We had gone 5 nights out of the 7 . We did do one excursion on the Friday at Dunn's river falls. Very beautiful place be sure to bring water shoes not sandles. It was only two hours. We are not one for the all day trips so this was just perfect for us. Entertainment nightly with different themes. Something to do for everyone. Beach and a view for days. We loved both sides to the hotel. Again if anyone of looking for a hotel that has a little something for everyone this is the one for you. Best vacation by far we are already looking to plan our next one. Krista we will be calling you for our next trip thank you again for putting this together for us.

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort and Spa: Great Honeymoon..but Solicaited a lot
We stayed at Sandals Regency La Toc Spa Resort for our honeymoon and spent a little bit extra because it was our honeymoon and you don't honeymoon often...That being said Sandals is just another resort we didn't find it to be anything special the resort itself needs some upgrading as it was kind of worn looking.
The staff worked hard but they weren't the happiest and not always very friendly although they would always say hi in passing. I have never been solicaited so much by resort staff in[... read more] my life. List of things we were asked and asked and asked to come spend our hard earned dollars on
- Staff walking around the pool during the day to ask us to come into the jewelry shop to buy jewelry
- Staff walking about the pool asking if we had talked to anyone about excursions, handing out flyers
- Flyers in our door when we would come back at the end of the day letting us know we could have dinner on the beach for only 199$ USD we are Canadian so with the exchange would have been 300$ roughly
- Staff walking around the pool to see if we wanted to buy a Sandals T shirt to tie die for free but when I asked if I could just do my own T shirt I brought they said no
- The spa girls we a little out of hand writing out receipts and booking 270$ couple massages before we had agreed to even get the massage
- Someone was always selling something by the pool... always
The grounds were always clean we liked that, we dared to go in the hottub and glad we did because it was nice and our bathing suits didn't smell the next day
We were in room 243 the location was amazing very close to everything, the room was nice enough bed is super comfy! We made friends that were staying in 701 we found their room was kind of far as well as the elevator was broken for about 4 days so walking up the hill then up the stairs to the 7th floor may get a little annoying
Food was amazing pretty well everywhere you go the Steaks we my personal favorite and Kimonos was crazy good and entertaining.
Go on the Joe Knows tour and if you can try to get someone to take you to the St Lucian Street Party that happens every Friday night, it was by far the coolest thing we're done on vacation but you have to like to drink and dance! So neat to try the food from the different vendors!
We were disappointed in the lack of night life/entertainment at this resort the stage is so tiny and very rare that anything entertaining was going on there! Piano Bar near the Pitons restaurant was super entertaining and open until 11.
Overall a good vacation just not worth the 2500$ each to be there, could have saved about 1000$ and gone somewhere else.

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort and Spa: Great Resort
With Sandals the food the room and personnel service and spas is always great you can go wrong , done 8 of them and it the same thing. You get for what you paid.
La Toc on the 25 Dec 2016 for 7 days, Beach is missing a lot of sand due to the high waves and red flags nobody swing unless you are a very skill swimmer other wise is dangerous the under toe and the height of the waves. The only activity there was the pool and Sun. Most people and staff we talk said the sea is often rough the ho[... read more]tel staff told me they have to rebuild the beach with backhoe and sand truck when the sea calm down at time.
Toke the complimentary shuttle to the Grande everyday at 11 Am and return on 4 PM where the beach is very nice and swimmable . The trip take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. The wind come differently and for some reason it rain less then the Toc where the wind is directly on you.
Christmas and New years party at the toc was great and the food and dessert is awesome but bring your ear plugs because the musique is so loud you can't stay close to the band you could feel on you and in the room 75' away the pressure of the base speaker. They think we the tourism our deaf or hard earring.
If your budget is less and you are a pool person then the Toc is your choice. If you love the sea and beach ? you have two choice : pay more money and go to the Grand or Go to the Toc and use the complement shuttle to the Grand everyday.
For the other sandals in St-Lucia Halcyon it is smaller and the sea is a bit better than the Toc but also rough sea but never like the Grand in Rodney Bay where the beach the views the sea is awesome.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Butler service not worth it
The hotel itself is beautiful. Everyone is friendly, food is amazing, always pool/beach chairs available.
The issue we had was with the butler service. We paid an extra $ 1000.00 to have this service, and we were ignored the entire time. They gave us a cell phone, but they either didn't answer, or the phone was dead. They had to go to their Manager to request a charger for it.
We waited several hours for a response from our butlers. Total waste waste waste of money.

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort and Spa: Awesome week
We arrived and even though it rained a bit, we had a great time.
Resort is clean and staff are extremely friendly.
The ride to the resort wasn't as bad as some people say... it was nice to see a bit of the country, it's gorgeous!
It's the best holiday my husband and I have EVER had, and we went to Sandals Ochi in March, but this one was even better.
Thank you to the Sandals La Toc staff for making the week a paradise for us.
Back to work now...

Sandals Barbados: Didn't want to leave!
This was our first vacation and we were not disappointed.
Highlights were snorkeling with turtles, the perfect beach with palm trees, catamaran, volleyball, Butch's steakhouse.
We went snorkeling with the turtles twice as it was free.
We paid to go to the caves/animal sanctuary - not worth it at all as they package the boring caves with the animal sanctuary and we missed the 2pm feeding.
We would recommend this Sandals and we would go to another Sandals next year for sure based on the q[... read more]uality.

Sandals South Coast: Our Sandals Whitehouse 10 day vacation
Dear Shaukath Fattah,
We had a trip of a lifetime!! AMAZING. From our arrival at Toronto Airport to Montego Bay to Sandals…..it was fantastic. I didn't realize I had motion sickness until half way there, but other than that our stay was outstanding. Sandals Whitehouse was everything plus more. We're so glad we stayed the 10 days. It was more expensive but it was what we needed.
We thank Shaukath Fattah for the non stress trip and everything we needed was provide by Shaukath well in[... read more] advance of our trip. We had decided to use the Airport Bus service just to make sure it was completely stress free.
The only thing we wondered about was that we met a lot of Canadians at Sandals that had booked trips with different features included in their trip like spa days that we didn't have, or trips off of the resort that were included with their booking that again would have cost us extra.
Again…it was an amazing adventure and one we would like to repeat.
We definitely will want to return in the near future.

Sandals Grande St Lucian: Good holiday
This resort is located on a sheltered bay, making water sports and swimming very easy. Food quality was great. Room (6215) was nice and quiet (note this is a basic room). Dive team excellent.
Issues - Sandals did not recognize us as returning guests. This is something tripcentral needed to tell them and didn't.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Great Resort!!
The resort was lovely, staff very friendly and the food was amazing. We paid a lot of money for an oceanview which to me wasn't worth it because we only saw a glimpse of it. Very disappointed with that.
Room service took a very long time, over an hour each time for a simple order.

Sandals Grande St Lucian: Most excellent resort
This is probably the best resort i've ever stayed in. The grounds were immaculate, the restaurants were all good (and we did them all!), the rooms were a little dated but there was lots of rooms being redone so i would imagine anyone going there now will have a newly decorated room and the view was amazing (we had an oceanview). The best compliment i can give them though was their service was top notch. Everyone went above and beyond to say hi and make sure our needs were taken care off. This resort is the nicest we have ever visited. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The resort accommodations are labelled in three Villages - Italian, Dutch and French. Each block of accommodations has their own pool and beachfront access. The food is amazing and the nicest part about dining in the speciality restaurants is no reservations required. The resort was full when we were there but it never seemed crowded. We loved that. Sandals Barbados: Sandals Barbados - Avoid for at least a Year
Stayed Dec 2 to Dec 9, 2016
Air Canada flight
Two funny moments.
First we were told to leave our seats belts on during the flight, just in case! (Never heard that one before)
Second, they sprayed pesticides in the plane just before we landed. Very odd, they said it was safe...
Arrival
Arrival at the airport we were greeted and offered a bottle of water. Then we were picked up by a taxi that was a Mercedes, nice touch, since we were late leaving the airport. Once we arrived at the hote[... read more]l, a cold towel was brought to us immediately, a song that greeted us to the island and hotel and we checked in. At check in, which was by iPad, we were offered a glass of champagne. We were given a tour of the hotel, it's small so it didn't take long, and then shown to our room.
Smoking
There are designated smoking areas and no smoking on balconies or a $250 fee will be applied to your room.
We were also told not to buy smokes at duty free at Pearson as we would be subject to duty in Barbados. There is a market just outside the hotel you can walk to if you don't want to pay $12USD for Marlboros at the hotel shop. When it rains there is no covered space so just don't smoke.
Room
There is construction at the hotel either sandals or next door so the view we had was of construction. We booked a honeymoon premium room, the front desk said that doesn't exist and that they upgraded our room.....it was with a view of construction this isn't an upgrade for me. Annette said she would follow up but she never did, very disappointing and she almost seemed to be avoiding us.
Room 2401, our room was close to everything as the hotel is small. The room has all the amenities you would want including USB ports for your devices. Unlike the Sandals in Exuma, they do not provide robes, slippers or even the nice pen to make notes with. You can have a robe upon request, but that's it!
Room service is non existent.
No beach towels in our room upon arrival.
Maid service is decent however we had to call for things like tissues, even though it was apparent that the box was empty. Also, you can tell mirrors were not being cleaned daily, as at one point I had to wipe the mirror as it was dusty.
Since we were on the 4th floor, when it rained, there is no roof, so we couldn't go outside and there are not too many inside options, like lounges.
Noise
There was a constant noise at night not sure if it's birds or crickets. It gets very loud and annoying.
Since the hotel is so close to the airport, the sound of planes is what you can expect to hear on the beach. At least 8 per day.
Also on the beach and in our room, was the constant construction noise, hammering, drilling, banging and not just during the week, weekends too....Since they are still putting up walls, this looks like it will only be done in a year, save your sanity and book a year from now, I certainly would not have booked had I known this was going on. The front desk apologized but said the travel agents should state if there is construction. I do not recall our booking agent letting us know, so here's a warning.
Food
There are many choices for food and variety.
At the beach restaurant you have to get your own drink, at least we were told we did and the food came cold. The second time trying it was better, food was decent and cooked to serve.
The restaurants all provide great meals. However, service is very slow, more then once food came cold or undercooked.
Service is spotty at some places. At breakfast, my husband asked for ketchup and the server just left before he finished speaking, he was also trying to ask for more water for my tea.
There are two restaurants to book, Butch's if you like steak, they cook it wonderfully and we found the best service there. The other is Japanese and they make a huge production out of it which is a fun night out.
Beach
The beach is public so expect people to come to you offering tours, $200 USD for a couple for 4 hours to tour the island, maybe book before you get here like on Expedia. There are also peddlers for other smoking varieties....not comfortable but if you say no they leave you alone right away.
The beach itself in front of sandals is the largest of all the resorts around, wide and spacious. A few other hotels near us had very limited beach space, one was Elegant hotels and I don't know the other. If it's not beach, it's huge rock walls that form the coastline.
There are plenty of chairs but you do have people setting up their towels early morning for the covered spots.
Towels are available at different spots around the hotel.
There is no good snorkelling at the beach unless you head for the rocks just out in front of the beach but not that much to see, a few schools of fish.
There is spotty service on the beach for drinks but they also leave coolers out with sodas, water and beer for everyone, by the volleyball court.
There are daily activities, volleyball, pool volleyball, billards and other group games, they staff get really into it, makes it fun.
Overall, not the greatest impression of a Sandals, just based on the last one we stayed at in Exuma. It has made me reconsider the sandals chain. I'd appreciate not being contacted by sandals barbados as we made our concerns known at the beginning of our trip and since no effort was made to make any reparations while we were there, it would not be helpful at this point.
Safe travels.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: So-so vacation
I heard a lot about this resort after booking and some of it was true. Beautiful Resort, many of the restaurants fantastic (Kimonos, Gordons), private island vlery beautiful and relaxing. However, wasn't what I fully expected from Sandals - check-in was painful, service at Baccarat very slow, pool bar service also slow and entertainment was geared for over 60 year olds. And pools were freezing cold!! Certainly didn't live up to my expectations.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Great Vacation!
This really is a great resort. Grounds are small and everything is right there! We had a lovely room with a view of the ocean and pool on the quiet side at Balmoral.
The restaurants offered a wide selection of dishes and most were excellent. A lot of the staff are new but they are trying very hard to please!
Pools are cool as they have been refilled since the reno, but I'm sure they will heat up soon.

Sandals South Coast: Stunning resort!
We really loved this resort from the moment we arrived we were very well taken care of. We splurged and got the club level room and I do recommend it not only to have beverages in the room but they will take care of everything for you. It was our first all inclusive experience and we were very satisfied. The ride to and from the resort to the airport was not too pleasant but the hotel was worth it! Our room was very nice however we did not spend a lot of time in there. We are not huge ocean peo[... read more]ple but if we were we would have been disappointed. There was a ton of seaweed and the water was very calm so there was no playing in the waves and we could not even hear the ocean from our oceanfront room. I did miss that while falling asleep at night. Staff was very nice and food was very good. We did not have to wait in any long lineups at any restaurant. We always found a spot at the pool but people would be up very early setting things on seats to reserve them so sometimes we did not get a first choice of where to sit. All in all it was an amazing experience and we canot wait until we come back "home."
