Melia Cayo Coco: No shortages here

We went in the first week of May, a short 10-minute bus ride from the airport. It was amazing, great, brown eggs made to your liking, bacon sausage pastries, lots of fruit, watermelon, mangoes, melons, and papaya. Pasta, fish, pork, beef, crab and chicken in the buffet. Pizza is excellent at the pool bar. Lots of renovations have taken place. Entertainment was excellent. It is not a party resort, it is great for a quiet and relaxing vacation. We will return

Melia Costa Rey: Amazing Resort

My partner and I visited this resort April 28th to May 5th 2025. We stayed at the Level side; however, enjoyed all aspects of the hotel. Extremely clean resort, stunning lobby area with a beautiful view of the ocean. Beaches are well kept daily, food was delicious and all staff were extremely friendly. Special shout out to Miguey, Claudia, Yani, Geraldo, Ricardo and Yaris. Wonderful cigar bar too! Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Great Resort

The hotel I was great, the rooms were clean and roomy, staff were amazing and friendly, shout out to Yoseet. At the pool bar, a la carts were yummy, resort beautiful and breach stunning , grounds were very clean and tidy, entertainment in Lobby was great, lots of local talent on the instruments

Sol Palmeras: Family resort

This resort has a beautiful beach with plenty of palapas and loungers to sit, relax and look out at the stunning turquoise water. With lots of vegetation, it has a jungle feel. Two pools with a central bar facility. No swim up bar, however, so you'll need to get out of the pool to get your drinks. BBQ for lunchtime burgers and sausages, not at the beach but close by. Buffet is large with excellent variety. No shortages noted at all during our stay. Bungalow decor is dated but they [... read more] do provide more space than the hotel rooms. However, be prepared to walk further to access the pools and buffet, as these bungalows are spread out over a large area. There appeared to be a shuttle of some description but it was apparently out of service during my stay. There is one main bar upstairs on the lobby level and a great coffee bar and this makes it a congested area at times. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back. No problems encountered with either mosquitoes or sand fleas, so that is a win, 100%.

Melia Costa Rey: Nice beach, hotel so-so

Our expectations, based on other people’s reviews for this hotel and our last year’s trip to another Melia resort in Cuba, were probably too high… Disappointed with rooms (e.g. small ants everywhere, including in bed at some point, quite aggressive), buffet food (passable, you will not leave hungry but quality of the cooked food is mediocre, at best) and general state of the resort (a 15yr old working a summer job in Canada will do a much better job at renovating / no green grass to speak of, ev [... read more]erything is parched / pools not clean / beaten up furniture / bathroom doors that don’t close, you get the idea). On the positive side: a very nice beach, new palapas and beach chairs, good selection of drinks, good service in restaurants and bars, good entertainment. I would not go back though, negatives outweigh these positives.

Melia Cayo Coco: May short gate away

Spent four days at Melia Cayo Coco an adults only resort . The grounds are very clean, rooms are spacious but outdated. No outlets with USB ports so make sure you bring all the cables you need to charge your devices. Bufet: same food every day, no variety. I am not a picky eater but I was not found of all the black flies present in the restaurant and on the food. But, you can find something to eat at any time. Drinks: ok, found some were very deluded ….but if you can find one from a brand new bottle being opened in front of you…you mighty be able to enjoy it. Entertainment: enjoyed beautiful performance from local artists in the lobby. Very, very talented people. No evening shows and most of the noise is around the pool which we are not interested in as we came for the beach end the ocean. Cigars: try to buy what you need from the hotel, airport prices -which were supposed to be duty free ….are actually more expensive Overall good trip, no complaints! .

Melia Las Dunas: Another wonderful trip

My husband I just returned form Melia Las Dunas for the 9th time on May 5th. We love the resort and the people in it. The hotel may be getting a little older now and has a few small issues, but it could never out way the amazing time you will have here. Melia Las Americas: Very Nice

The hotel was very clean and well kept. The grounds were kept clean and manicured to look nice.The food selections were good. The bread was outstanding might be the best that i have had. The service in the buffet was very good. The hotel was quiet and if you were going to look for a place to just relax this is the place. Its geared to couples so there was not much late night action going on. The entertainment was very good. Sol Palmeras: Sol Palmero

The positives were: The staff were extremely friendly and always happy, Lobby was beautiful, The pools very clean, The dining room had lots of food and a really good variety. Rooms were very good, bed very comfortable....The only negatives were the bathrooms needed updating, no hot water most days and the internet was sporadic.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: The staff are Amazing

Just back from awesome week at this beautiful resort The staff were amazing So friendly Special thank you to our butlers Miguel and Joel. Anneris at breakfast and lunch buffet Thanks for bringing us ice cream everyday. Randolph at Sukura for cooking and entertaining us and the gentleman who made the desserts Yummy Yummy. Paradisus Varadero: Thinks work ish

Great beach and sea, nice and clean resort , great entertainment. No water sometimes, ( 3 days) no TP in public washrooms, food selection is modest. Beer in the fridge ony twice ( the reason: they dont have any) .

Melia Buenavista: Great staff but changes needed

The staff at Melia Buenavista were the best part of the resort. So friendly! Beaches were beautiful. Really enjoyed the aqua fit in the pool. So fun! Unfortunately there is no designated smoking section so we were surrounded by smokers especially during the evening entertainment. Chicken legs every night on the menu and little to no vegetables. Rice was always the side. I understand about the shortages in Cuba but I wish the reviews we read were more honest. The 2 bathrooms near the lobby [... read more] bar and restaurants usually had no toilet paper or soap, or the toilets just weren’t working. Ran out of hot water the day before we left. Lovely staff but this resort needs change.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Little piece of paradise!

Recently returned from a 1 week trip. This resort came highly recommended to me and did not disappoint. The room was beautiful and clean. The grounds were well kept. The service was amazing. Highly recommend!

Paradisus Varadero: Wonderful family getaway at Paradisus Varadero!

My husband, daughter and I enjoyed our week at the beautiful Paradisus Varadero! It was breezy all week so no bugs and not too hot. Was perfect. The beach is beautiful, grounds are beautiful and the majority of staff were hard working and lovely. The resort is well kept by the hard working, pleasant staff. Only complaint would be the main/public bathrooms were not always well stocked with tp or soap so I’d recommend having something just in case. Between us we ate well, had lots of vegetables, beans, steak, chicken, pasta, ham, pork, crab, mussels, sweets for dessert. Eggs for breakfast, toast, hash browns. Our favourite place to eat had all these options, it was the main buffet. The waiting staff, cooks were all friendly, attentive and hard working. I was surprised at all that was available from Parmesan cheese, peanut butter, Nutella, jam, salt & pepper, ketchup. Any extras like this we were told we should bring, we did not use. Left with other goodies for staff before checking out. Accommodations were very nice. No complaints other than, no water in our group of buildings for a few hours one day. Thankfully it was nothing that affected us negatively. we just stayed at the pool and beach. They resolved it quickly. It ended up happening twice more on two other days at different times, a bit of a nuisance but we made due and issue was resolved quickly. Entertainment was great! My first time traveling to Caribbean and booking through trip central. It was a great experience, straight forward and informative. Flights were great, Air transat staff and service was excellent. Would love to return again some day!?✌???

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Best Resort in Cuba

Rooms are spacious and quiet. Resort is spacous and everyting is in working order. I've stayed here twice now. The staff are friendly. There are multiple bars. They all have good service. The food is so so, but okay. You don't go to Cuba for great quizine. The clientel are primarily Canadian. It's a relaxing adult only atmosphere. Tennis rackets and tennis balls are available. But hunting them down can be a challange.

Melia Cayo Coco: Still great and reliable as always.

Everything was clean and well kept. The common washrooms were clean and were well supplied, ie. toilet paper. The main dining room and a la cartes had plenty of tasty options and beer and wines. There were also additional wines in the onsite store. There was beach bar, well stocked and beach restaurant. This also had a great selection including ice cream. We never lost power or hot water. We are beach people and this was great , maybe a tad windy, that time of year I guess. Don't miss Tuesday [... read more] night entertainment at the pool table bar on the lagoon. Staff were always providing games, dance and exercise on the beach. Our fridge was stocked with beer, pop, and water everyday. This was our third visit at this resort, it's a keeper!

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Worst resort ever!

Only positive is service was good and rooms were clean The food was horrible and there were major shortages. No it’s not a Cuba thing as other resorts had plenty of food. No bread or flour products for 4 days. No rice for 2 days. No juice, yogurt etc etc. rooms are dated to the point of the bathroom door rotting off 1/4 of the way up. Mold in tub area. Drinks were limited and no pina colada’s. Like really?????

Melia Costa Rey: Beautiful Resort

Beautiful resort with lovely pools and beach, food was plenty and delicious, activity team were great and made it so fun to join in..Close to airport also. Definitely would recommend ❤️Don't hesitate to book at Melia Costa Rey ?

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Still loving this place

After all the hardships on going in Cuba the workers are smiling and asking how we are. Always something delicious to eat and clean tidy beach and hotel grounds. Always trying to make our stay better. Full marks and 100% to resort. Muchos Gracias

Melia Las Dunas: A favourite of mine

Love Las Dunas! Have been there many times-recent visit a week ago. The white sandy beach is beautiful, there are plenty of lounges all with shade and the bar is just steps away. Both the adult and child pools are gorgeous and have bars with refreshments for all. In my opinion the huge front lobby is the best ever-plenty of seating for everyone, an excellent bar, entertainment throughout the day and evening at different locations.
