Hotel Los Cactus: Great resort, bad food.

Hotel and grounds are great. Staff is awesome as always. The food was always cold and really bad. Breakfast was OK since it,s hard to spoil an omelette. Potatoes, brussel sprouts, vegetables, all cold.

Hotel Los Cactus: Excellent Resort

The most enjoyable part of my stay was the interaction with staff. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to satisfy any needs or concerns. The 2 bedroom suite we had was very comfortable and the cleaning staff kept the unit clean and fresh. Food was very good, they have a new chef, a lot of Cuban dishes mixed in with typical Canadian dishes. All in all excellent value for the cost and I plan to make many more trips to this resort in the future.

Hotel Los Cactus: Great Resort but needs maintenance and better food.

Cuba was great yet again, this was my second time at this resort. This resort has amazing staff,pool,beach,bars and over all atmosphere. I do have some feedback. 1.The food is horrible. Barely eatable. While I understand they are catering to European and north american tourist its not done well. The Cuban THEME day food was AMAZINGGGGGG. 2. We stayed in room 623 and it smelled horrible upon entry. very musty. ( the mop used to clean the room left a horrible smell each day) 4. There were roaches. 5. The bathroom ceiling was leaking, bathroom lights were leaking water .Ceiling looked like it would fall at any moment. We brought this up to management and they sent someone to fix it in 30 mins. which was a band-aid on the situation to be honest. The bathroom was poorly cleaned. otherwise we had a great time. Hotel Los Cactus: Great resort

Very friendly, accommodating staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Beach goes on forever. Large selection at buffet, many other options with private restaurants and beach bbq. Food is not as at home but its Cuba. A few minor problems with room. They were quick to respond.

the resort was very clean and the food was very good. big rooms and plenty to do around the resort. place to see and do things. the beach very clean and the water warm and clear. the people ready to do anything for you to make your stay a happy and full of fun.

Absolutly beautiful grounds. Great beach great staff nice room and services We would go back again. The food was ok lots of choices but not enough fresh vegetables. No lettuces. We had only 2days on the beach swimming because the waves were too high. We really appreciated the security. Love the town.

Hotel Los Cactus: We had a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Breezes Varadero. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the grounds were beautiful. We tried out all three a la carte restaurants and we were not disappointed. We would definitely go back and stay with Breezes again in the future!

Hotel Los Cactus: A relaxing week away

A wonderful vacation. It has a beautiful beach where we spend the majority of our days. A clean hotel with friendly staff. The food was fine, nothing too exciting to eat, but we were always able to find something we liked. I recommend the beach BBQ for dinner. It has a lovely view of the ocean while eating delicious BBQ chicken, pork or fish. Lots of bars and drinks to choose from, and also a coffee bar which we visited every night for a speciality coffee. Hotel Los Cactus: Paradise lost,

while the staff and groundskeepers were all very courteous and helpful,the fair on offer at the buffet was at best a struggle to find something both tasteful and pleasant,I stuck to omelette in the morning a burger for lunch and some pasta for dinner,The room was,, being generous, dated,although clean,the fact I could not get Pop before 11am at the buffet bar was strange,I do not drink alcohol,also beer could be bought at a premium at the bar for those who wished it,,only draught to be had for f [... read more]ree,never so glad to leave a place ever,at $1100.oo for all inclusive I expected better and on many other holidays got it,won't be back in Cuba let alone Breezes,sorry for being so negative,but this is being Honest

Hotel Los Cactus: Our home away from home

This is a fantastic boutique style hotel, which my Mom and I have enjoyed staying at for the second time now. We love the smaller size of this resort, the attention to detail, the cleanliness, and the friendly and accommodating staff. This adults only resort has everything we need, and we believe it's a real gem in Varadero. We like the fact that this hotel feels very "Cuban" and has lush beautiful grounds and gardens. The beach always has ample chairs and shady spots, towels are always fresh an [... read more]d in good condition, and in our opinion, the food is very decent by Cuban standards. We can always find something to eat and we're never hungry. The only suggestion we would have is that the food could be even more simply prepared, to appeal to a wide variety of palettes, we think the keep it simple theory would not only make things easier on the chefs but also appeal more to the guests. Just an observation that we had. The baked goods are to die for (my favourite), cheeses and pickles and antipasto is always something I look forward to. If possible, more fish and possibly chicken would be amazing as I don't eat pork. We think for breakfast and even for dinner the omelet station and carving station are such a hit, that why not serve less sides, and double the amount of staff working those areas to speed up the lines.

Hotel Los Cactus: Fair Resort

Me and my boyfriend went for five days to relax and enjoy each other and the resort. The public theme was quite nice and clean. The variety of food was good but the quality was not so good. The food was the least favorable of all and there weren't premium drinks to enjoy. Over all we both enjoyed the garden view and the friendly staff.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Wonderful Vacation!

This hotel was wonderful. The people we so friendly and would help with any concerns. The food was great and the beach was amazing! The grounds were well kept and clean. The rooms were ok. We didn't love the fact that there were no doors on the main bathroom.

Food was good .....beach was amazing ... The people there friendly....My Only complaint was my room did not have hot water for the entirety of my trip ...later found out that half of the resort depending where your room was located did not have hot water ....

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Fantastic Resort & Staff 👍

We had a great time. This compares very well with any 5 star ones we have gone to in the Caribbean. Included full water park, premium drinks and very clean rooms remade twice daily are differentiators. The beach party was awesome. The classy Caribbean restaurant and its gifted Pianist, Kedroy are in a class of their own. Very helpful staff and good Management are evident. Keep it up Guys it will continue to differentiate you. Hotel Los Cactus: Ok, location..

I hate to say it but this was one of the worst holiday we have had, not sure we want to return to Cuba after this experience. This was our first time there and we heard the food was bad..but this was TERRIBLE....cold, salty.. Uncooked. Low water pressure, so taking a good shower was next to impossible after being out in the heat all day (weather was terribly hot)..could not get a good mojito if my life depends on it. . What was good..the people..they kind and helpful

Hotel Los Cactus: A Great Resort

The ambiance is very good. We really liked our unit. The staff was fantastic. Breezes should make an effort to facilitate the "Hop-on-hop-off" to pick up its clients closer to the entrance. It is a very challenging walk on a hot day. A lot of your clientele are seniors who are unable to manage this even though they may want to see the city. The food was very monotonous at first but then appeared to have changed. I did find the menu overly repetitive. Will visit again.

The grounds were kept well and clean inside and out. The food was satisfactory...plenty of food at all times. The service and waiters were always polite and helpful...very attentive. The pool was beautiful and of course the beach was spectacular!! Clean!! There were lots of daily activities...Cuba day..etc. We met a lot of wonderful people. oUR room was kept clean. The only downfall was that we DID NOT HAVE HOT WATER IN THE ROOM. We did complain at the front desk and she said she wou [... read more]ld send a technician but didn't follow through. We were there only 3 nights so we didn't persue too much to complain again. On our second last day the manager wanted to change our room but we said it's ok we are leaving tomorrow. She (Elizabeth) was kind enough to let us stay until 6:00pm before our departure.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Fabulous resort

The resort was great as everything was a walking distance. Family oriented as there was a lot to do for the kids is splash pad and lazy river. My kids enjoyed their stay and liked the art and craft activities. The food and service was also great! We will be back next year.

The gardens were exquisite! The beach was beyond amazing! A very clean resort with so many fun options included. Food was fantastic! And the staff was super friendly and accommodating!!! Will absolutely go again!!

First of all the staff was very helpful and friendly, food was good the rooms are very clean. The resort amenities are excellent, beach is fabulous and the access to it is very convenient only less than 5 min walk.
