Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Amazing Resort

Was our first time there. Staff were very friendly. Food was ok. Bring own spices, peanut butter etc. Their fresh pineapple and mango juice was incredible. Hard getting hot water. Toilet paper is like gold. Make sure you carry it wherever you go...lol. Pools are nice, grounds very clean and beaches are very nice. Rooms need updated. Villas are nice. We would definitely go back again.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: ‘What we have today’ resort - not ‘all-inclusive’

The Standard Rooms should be health checked for mold - these rooms are nicknamed the barracks (low ceilings, holes in the wall). Was not expecting a fancy room but definitely clean and safe (patio doors were screwed shut). Upgrade (reception was not surprised at the request) provided with cash only - no receipt. Menus were falling apart (where available) and outdated (many items listed were not available). Worst of all no mojitos available!?! Authentic Pina coladas were found just outside the re [... read more]sort for a fee. ‘Extra fees’ amounted to the cost of a higher rated resort. BEAUTIFUL beach- warm and courteous food servers & room cleaners.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Home away from home

Club amigo Holguin Cuba. Love this resort. Which is actually four separate area resorts built into one. They have a main hotel standard room bungalows and villas. Along with three buffet restaurants and about Five al a carte restaurants along with 24 hour bar and two snack bars four pools throughout the resort. To use depending on whether you want a quiet morning or more lively swim up bar entertainment. The hotels beaches are beautiful. Grounds are spread out and lovely for afternoon walks. Food is getting better but really depends on what resort can obtain. Food presentation has improved quite a bit in last few years. Entertainment is everywhere. You will love this resort whether you are a couple or family or group of girls and guys. I return to this resort often and love it

Wonderful place to go and relax. Such a friendly and safe place to go to. Have been many times and can’t wait to return to the most friendly staff that are like family. Clean rooms, grounds are always perfect. If you need anything just ask and they will do their best to provide. Best value for the money

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Ultimate Resort

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca is a fabulous resort with many amenities and recreational options. 5 swimming pools, 8 restaurants, 10 bars including 24 hour. Game rooms. Tennis courts. Water sports, Bicycles, Flee market just outside resort with Cuban town within walking distance. Highly recommend this resort for a fantastic stay.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Worn out

Think this is my last time for this place. It is getting pretty worn out. Too little repairs too late. There is a huge 5 star going up next door that will consume the beach which is its only saving grace.

Many things are out of the list, and many things are old and weary... but, it is still worth it to go! People do what they can... Some features on the list are out of the service... but location - is really the best! Ocean and the beach - will always be for you there!!!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Fun place to go

It’s not fair to hold them to our standards. They give all they’ve got. Shortages that they can’t control like not having butter. We can live without it anyway. Friendly, kind and caring staff. I’m sure I’ll see them again

Carisol los Corales: Mixed feeling

The first room I got had bed bugs. It took 3 days before I figured out (I tough it was mosquito) and I was bite all over the place!. The 2nd room was perfect. I was disappointed by the beach, too short for the 2 hotels (los corales and Clarisol), and a lot of seaweed in the ocean, it was unpleasant to swim. The meals was not great but not terrible. Overall 2 out of 5.

Friendly staff ok food but great sceneray and the price just should have been better I like the rooms and the service but the price to stay in this resort was too much I will be visiting the same location as holguin is a great place to be.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Party life & beach

Hotel was pleasant. Tip if you want good service. The pool was nice and the beach was clean. Good fun for a good price. However dont expect to eat like a king or queen. Over all good experience. Thanks air transat.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Great resort

It was the 3rd year in a row that we were at the same hotel, Club Amigo Mayanabo. We liked the people, we liked the resort and the weather was on our side too :). The entertainment team was great too. The only downside for us was that the music (either at the resort or at the disco nearby, I am not sure) was kind of loud up to 3 AM so it might be difficult to sleep before it stopped. I understand that some (younger) people might wanna party so late, but maybe it could be done in a way that w [... read more]ouldn't interfere with the night sleep of others. All in all we had a good time and we are eager to go back next year.

Carisol los Corales: We had a great holiday!

We love Cuba and the Cuban people. They are the most friendly and hospitable people. We went to the Santiago area and the weather was the best ever especially for January 29/30 degrees and sunny every day. They say this is normal for this time of year! Lovely beach although not really great for swimming. Snorkeling was the thing to do. Great for kids. A very relaxing holiday.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Nice people

The people on the resort where nice with the exception of the ladies at reception. They are snobs and ignorant. These ladies are the face we meet first...according to my standards they make the place or break it, which they did. There is no beach. You need watershoes for the ocean. But even with watershoes it's no fun swimming in weeds. The pool needs a lot of work. The rooms are small and not that clean. Lots of cob webs and dust one the light fixtures. Killed a cockroach the last morning there [... read more]. I felt I got ripped off going to this resort. Which I will not return.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great vacation

Nice resort, clean rooms. Food lakes variety, but considering that this is a 3* resort in Cuba..... you will however always find something to fill up your plate with. The operating hours of the bars are a bit confusing, but once you get used to the schedule you know were to go for coffee or drinks. Great beach and good night shows. Cubans guests are cutting the lines at the bars but you are on vacation so relax and send them back in the line.

Went there as a last ,minute, the resort has a nice beach and is right next ti a bunch of bars and restaurants Stayed at the Bungalow section which I really liked better than the main building If you've been to Cuba before it's pretty much what you expect, I did like the pork roast on the Saturday If you have little kids there is a shallow beach next to the main one that's perfect for babies/toddlers/non swimmers My only complaints are the public washrooms that are just horrendous i [... read more]n terms of cleanliness, the various bars close at random hours or stop serving certain drinks (once you figure out the system you are fine) and the lineup at reception is always HUGE(why a shift change when loads of people check in / out?) Overall a good basic Cuba resort, perfect for sun and fun

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Really nice 3 stars resort!

The beaches are kept really nice, clean and there are 2 privates beaches.. Big hotel with 4 swimming pools. The Villas are the best rooms and very close to the beach, snack bar and pool. The bungalows are a little far. The service was good and better when you tip. For the price and the stars i found the hotel amazing. Overall good!!
