Amazing vacation!

The pool was amazing, beach was breathtaking. Bartenders were super friendly, nightlife was great! Ocean view from our room was beautiful. Can't wait to go back again next year! I will recommend to all

Beautiful amenities

We stayed from From February 8-12, 2015. We travelled as a couple with our 6 year old daughter. We didn't participate in the resort events, didn't eat at the restaurants and did not attend night shows or casino. We did indulge in the wonderful pools and beach and loved it. We were not a fan of getting up early to save loungers with our towels - but whatever. Breakfast buffets were busy but good and evening buffets were not busy at all. Just wish our room had been more up to date and modern. We would stay again, but we would get a better room...

Punta Cana Paradise!

Location, weather, staff, food and excursions were amazing. Unfortunately upon arrival, 2 hours after check in, our room was not ready. Every day we had to make a complaint and search down room service staff for wash clothes and towels. The rooms were cleaned well but not stocked well. We loved the location but would try another resort.

Barcelo punta cana dominica

The resort was the perfect size everything close by. Pools beautiful with entertainment going on most of day. If you want a quiet pool theres one of them too. Also this resort is right on the beautiful ocean. There was some seaweed which was cleaned up. Food in buffet ok but in a la cartes very good. Snack bars around pool good also. One day no hot water for shower but was promply fixed

Excellent Resort

This is my fourth times at this hotel and still satisfy overall, food still very good, rooms needs a bit of update but very clean, entertainment is ok but could be updated. In general was excellent...

OK trip!

The exterior of the hotel is really nice! The rooms look like they are very well used! We had several issues with the room e.g. our safe didn't lock; the toilet seat was broken; the trash can in the bathroom was broken; the lock on the sliding veranda doors was broken; the water in the rooms wasn't potable; and the air conditioner leaked in the ceiling making the dropped ceiling stringers all rusty and leaking on the floor every day; Staff did come to fix most of the issues soon after they were  [... read more]reported (sometimes it took several tries). Many of the front desk staff hardly speak a word of English (or French) and had attitude issues when dealing with the clientele. Most of the other hotel workers were very nice and although they didn't speak much English at least tried to help. We both had stomach issues almost the whole 9 days we were there. We stopped drinking the water in the restaurants after a few days and stopped eating salads for the last three. We've been home for 4 days now and we're still suffering from queasy stomachs. Unfortunately while we were there, we had rain (sometimes a lot!) for 6 days and it was mostly cloudy on the other days (just bad luck I guess, not a hotel problem). Oh yes and then there was the wind that brought up tons of seaweed onto the beaches for the last 4 days. So much that they couldn't be kept clean!

Beautiful Beach and Resort

Grounds, beach and building were visually beautiful. Some updating or retrofitting is required in the rooms. This resort has been around for quite a while and is generally well maintained. I was impressed with the fact that small maintenance issues were dealt with immediately.

Good value for the money

young couple travelling together looking for some sun, a beautiful beach, decent food and some fun things to do in the evening. This was just that. Had everything we wanted and needed. No complaints other than the odd night there was no hot water for showering. But you're on vacation, sit back and relax and enjoy the experience

Great Resort

Really enjoyed this resort: close to brag, awesome ocean view, good food, never over-crowded. Room always clean. I'd recommend as a good place for a week; two weeks may be long for food variety. I'd go back here.

3rd time at this resort beautiful and amazing

This has been our third time at this resort and still amazing...grounds are clean with no bugs, the beach is where we spent most of our time from 8am until around 5pm and it was always clean and no people bugging us to purchase things. Food was excellent at all places that we ate. Service amazing even when we asked to change our room to the king sized room instead of our double bed they were friendly and courteous gave us a chance to look at the room and make sure it was up to our standard befor [... read more]e switching it and it was. The layout of this resort is great as it is more wide than long so great spots on the beach available with plenty of sun for those who worship it as well as plenty of shady spots for those who are fair like myself and all still with an amazing view of the ocean. From the room its maybe a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Pools were always nice and clean and they have enough variety of them you can be at the party pool(the one with the bar) or the tranquil adult pool or even the children friendly pool without being overcrowded anywhere. The room are nicely cleaned everyday with nice sliding glass doors that close properly as well as comfortable beds with comfy pillows and sheets that fit properly. I would and have recomended this resort to everyone.

Not good resort

Need traind managment . Need Majer renovation . Need good cook .water leaking from the the roof . Restaurant was good , but the baffet was really bad . .The seaside was perfect . Really nice look for sea . They have great photografer .

Disappointed

Nice pools and restaurants, but the rooms need renovations, specially the bathrooms. The service was very slow most of the time and many scheduled activities started late, yet once we were a bit late for dinner at the restaurant and the waitresses was very arrogant and almost didn't let us in.

Served our family very well

Good service, food and entertainment.Great pools for children to swim.the beach is the very best along the resort strip!Room was clean and well made every day.This was our second time at the resort and I would de definitely return.

Awesome vacation!

The chef of this hotel deserves the highest praise!!! The buffet of this hotel had delicious and various food - the most delicious breakfasts, lunches, and suppers that we are ate before on the our vacations. Thanks a lot to all stuff of the kitchen!

Barcelo punta cana

Barcelo punta cana was "FANTASIC!" i loved it. The food, the water, the rooms was be on great. I even met my forever unicorn, Bruce and I feel in love with each other and Barcelo Punta Cana, two thumbs up!

Horribly frustrating

lost our reservation checking in. Initially said they could not check us in. After a half hour call (60$) home to Canada looking to forward email from Westjet. We were check in to 1 room for 5 people until our other 2 rooms were ready. We arrived around 2 but were not in until about 8. When i asked the next day after westjet rep spoke with staff what the problem was the rep said the staff member must have been new and didnt know they dont use hotel vouchers. the next few days were good but our k [... read more]eys stopped workig twice. After that we wre careful not to put them near cell phones or cameras but on our last full day it happened 3 times back and forth to the lobby. Finally i said i was sick of walking back and forth and waited in the hall near my room for over 3 hours for a supervisor to come fix it. I should have been on the beach not in a hallway! The hotel was ok. The food was good.The beach was amazing but the staff never smiled and were not friendly. I was one of a few people who tipped so I cant say that was the reason for the unfriendly customer service.

We were very happy with the resort

we arrived very late due to delays when we got there everyone was tired we were travelling with two small children we were to have 2 rooms side by side they gave us rooms one on one end of the hotel and one on the other but the next mourning everything was straightened out and the trip was perfect the kids got lots to eat they loved the beach and pools our 5 years granddaughter even went snorkelling on one of day trip she had a great time she tells everyone we loved our stay good food beautiful  [... read more]beach nice people.

Beautiful resort

My stay was perfect. The staff memebers are curtius and friendly. The beach is clean and beautiful. The pools are amazing. The food was fantastic. I recommend all the restaurants. Enjoyed every minute of my stay.

Good value for money!

The food and service staff were awesome. The hotel was in pretty good repair. The tour provider site promised some 'extras' with the Prestige booking that we didn't get (robe and slippers in room) but overall it was very very good.

Wonderful escape to Barcelo Punta Cana

East trip from the airport, wonderful reception by the staff at registration, fantastic room with a great view, amazing grounds, great food and terrific service and people. Easy to be there - hard to come home. We absolutely loved our stay there.
