Gran Club Santa Lucia: Good bang for your buck!

We recently attended this resort with another family. It was all we expected and more. The staff were wonderful and made it great. There was plenty to do, we were never bored. Everything was clean from the rooms to the grounds. We recommend the iced coffee with rum at the lobby bar, do not leave before having a few. It's a great place for kids, ours had a blast. We did plenty of excursions. Definitely do the snorkeling at the coral reef. The most amazing thing we have done by far!

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Fantastic week!

We are a family of 5 and this vacation is well worth the $. It has a few flaws but overall value for money is great. The junior suite was spacious for all of us and clean. The food was good, had something for everyone. The staff really makes this resort stand out. I would definitely return in the future.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: best resort around and amzing staff

this trip was a last minute one but to this day has been the best I have ever had. the resort was absolutely beautiful, laid back and none of the pictures do it justice. the bar tenders were great. the staff and housekeeping were so friendly and helpful you never seemed to need anything. as for the entertainment staff what a amazing bunch of people, they went out of there way for people to have fun. Raymond (big teddy bear) was amazing with all the activites and a genuine nice guy even congratul [... read more]ated me at the show my last night there on y upcoming wedding.that was very sweet and something I will never forget. Roley was a super friendly guy and so full of life. always smiing and have fun with the guests and boy can he dance lol. my friend and I will never forget the amazing experience that we had at Club Amigo Mayanabo and hope to return within the next few months. So if you want and fantastic place to go for a fun and memorable time this is the place for you. Not only did we have a great time and leave with memories but also with many new friends.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: overall experience very good

the location is fine, close enough to the airport and the beach is clean and nice. The majority of the staff was very pleasant and reachable, the premises very clean and kept; the food was plenty and had a variety of choices to allow guest to eat differently each meal and each day. The entertainment was excellent, I admired the staff for the long hours and clean smiles all day long. Club Amigo Mayanabo: AMAZING PEOPLE

HOTEL: standard hotel nothing fancy but definitely acceptable for the price most pay to go there. Pool is beautiful. Ocean is okay - beach is very windy and ocean floor is rocky.ENtertainment staff are fantastic they make a real effort to get to know everyone and include everyone. Food is cuba food. not much in terms of selection. The drinks are good. the staff all around the resort are super nice and friendly. Club Amigo Mayanabo: Fair

There is good improvement at this hotel, they offer another bar at Pool area, personal was very us-full, rooms are standard, pillows are like flat, need more upgrades, but over all was nice, too much wind at the beach.

Brisas Santa Lucia: nice resort

This resort is in need of an upgrade but is still a nice hotel. The food was good and always could find something to eat. Nice that it has 24 hour bar and snack bar. Staff was nice and helpful. happy to have seen this hotel but not much to do

Brisas Santa Lucia: great place for a week of relaxation!

The room was great and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the temperature was perfect. Through grounds are very well maintained. The pool was amazing with lots of chairs. We loved the coffee bar and the coffee was so good. The beach was clean and such blue water. The food was better than we had anticipated and the choice of food was great. We would definitely go back to this resort. The Cubans were friendly and honest and we felt very safe when we went bicycling outside the resort.

Brisas Santa Lucia: great relaxing resort!

Grounds were well kept. Beach was walking distance. Staff were awesome and well attentive! Food....well its Cuba! Take your own bottle of ketchup if its a condiment you like! The rooms need a little bit of a face lift.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Great time!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Brisas mid march for one week and had a wonderful time! The beach was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the food wasn't bad at all. We expected the worst-being our first time in cuba before we went everyone told us Cuban food was tasteless! We brought our own salt, pepper and ketchup and we were good to go!) the thing I wasn't to fond of was the nightly entertainment and the lack of "local" surroundings. We were hoping to be able to see more of the Cuban lifestyle [... read more] and explore more outside of the walls but there isn't much to see. We went on a lobster dinner excursion....it was worth every penny!!!! The environment, the people, the food....it was one of my fondest memories from our trip!

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Fantastic Holiday !

I visited this resort in March with family and friends. At first I was a bit skeptical as the vacation was the least expensive we could find for the timing that we wanted to go. I was pleasantly suprised at the overall experience we had and would also definitely consider returning to the hotel for future vacations ! The beach was beautiful and the pool was a good size and the water was warm. The kids club was the best ever. The nightly entertainment was of a high calibre with professional style dancers and fun comedy shows. The food was typical for Cuba however we always found something to eat. Loved the pasta bar and the a la carte's were pretty decent too. Overall I would recommend this place for a family vacation.

Brisas Santa Lucia: I would go back!

I loved this resort. Not too big, friendly staff, decent food, nice pool, nice beach, nice rooms. My only issue was that the bartender at the pool bar (Mike) was so slow and didn't pay attention to customers at all. He took FOREVER to serve us and then when he finally took our order he took forever to bring us our drinks cause he was busy checking his phone and talking to his wife. Gran Club Santa Lucia: I liked everything!

We had two large rooms for 4 of us. Second floor in standard buildings is better, because of outside balcony. Food was fresh and good. Beach is big and clean,white sand. A lot of activates and excursions We spent most of the time on the beach and next to the pool. Weather was nice but first 3 days March 12-14 were unusually windy.. I love this place.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Good Place, Amazing Value!

We paid $675 each for a week in March before March Break. Outstanding value considering it includes airfare, hotel, unlimited food, drinks, and alcohol, entertainment Good Large Pool, with a shallow side pool. Lots of lounge chairs all around, in shade or sun. Beautiful Coconut Palm Trees all around pool. Occasionally organized waterpolo is played, and volleyball net available. 3 Bars around the pool, (but no swim-up bar). Lots of choices for food, Salad Bar at every lunch and dinner, but lett [... read more]uce runs out occasionally. Snack bar is open 24/7 but only had 3 options: Mini Cheese Pizzas, Grill Cheese, and Grill Cheese with Ham. However from 10am-6pm they also offer Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Fries, and Vegetable/Fruit Trays. From 9am to 5pm: Fried Donut "Churros", and Fresh Coconuts sliced open for Coconut Water are available pool side. As a nice treat, they occasionally wheel around a cart with ice cream cones and ice cream around the pool. The rooms were not updated, but we viewed it as a place just to sleep. TV always worked in our room (although had issues in other rooms). Good maid service, towel art was nice too. Mini fridge in our room, old but worked fine. The shower had good pressure in our room (although other rooms had less), and sometimes the hot water was only warm. Was on ground floor so we had a patio, second floor had no balcony. Great view facing garden and ocean.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Really relaxing

All good except we had our rooms changed because we had requested a ground floor room(my husband was recuperating from recent hip replacement, and my daughter and her husband wanted to keep on the ground floor and requested that plus a "pack and play" for the baby.. We were put near the nightly entertainment which was stupendously loud until 11pm. Not much sleep till then for our two rooms.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Great Place

This resort was very good. The beach would be perfect for kids as it is shallow and warm water for a good distance. The sand was soft and white, and the beach was raked several times a day. Great place to stay, food was good and a la carte restaurants were very good. Small enough that you did not have to walk a long distance to get to beach, restaurants etc. from room .

Brisas Santa Lucia: extremely amazing resort

This resort is one of the best in Cuba. The beach area is clean and well accessible from the main of the resort. The resort staff is very friendly and more than happy to help. We did the Catamaran tour and that was more than I expected. The food was left to be desired if you like to eat a lot of fish other than that it is Cuba and they do not have too much to offer. Beef is certainly not on the top of their menu as we did not have any the entire week. Overall I would most certainly recommend this resort and the location Camaguey a very nice spot to visit.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Good Bang for the Buck

Pros: cheap, great weather, good diving, good trip to Cameguay (Unesco World Heritage Site), lots of cute cats and dogs, some good spots for photography Cons: beach has seaweed everywhere, resort is old, food is lousy

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Loved It!

Beautiful grounds, pool and beach. The service was excellent. Food was good, but don't expect gourmet. Rooms are not at all fancy, but serviceable. Great value for the price but you must be adaptable to visit Cuba. Be prepared to check for toilet paper, to find no seats on toilets etc. But we loved it. We will go back asap!
