Excellent Holiday - Nov.24 - Dec.1 2017 Great resort all-round. Cubana flight 4* grounds nice and lush well maintained nice salt water pool room always clean been updated great service from ALL staff good food buffet-ranchon only ones I tried EXCELLENT BEACH! Great Parties at Marina! please don't leave T-shirts on beach chairs from day before ..big problem..not resorts fault...mention it to manager if issue

have been at this resort several times. beach was great. lots of lounge chairs, umbrellas and thatched covers. could have been better buffet selection; salads, meats. service good. no french fries anywhere on the island. because of hurricanes and problems in veneswala could be issues in future.

Memories Cayo Largo: Most amazing beach and wonderful staff

The hotel is the nicest on the island, we visited the others. It also has a lovely beach right by it, though a visit to Playa Sirena and Playa Paraiso are also a must. The staff is friendly and remembers repeat guests on sight. It's no surprise that most guests are repeat visitors.

Starfish Cayo Largo: Sol Pelicano, Cayo Largo, Amazing Resort, Best one we have gone to in Cuba

A group of six of us just returned from a vacation at the Pelicano Cayo Largo. We have gone to several resorts in the past 10 years in Cuba but I must say that this one was the best so far and we are already booked to go back in February 2018. The grounds are clean, rooms are well maintained and maid service is excellent. All the staff at the resort are super, very friendly and they strive to make your vacation a very memorable experience. A special thank you to Julian, the resort manager and Sunamis at guest services who went out of their way to ensure our group had a pleasant return dinner experience at the a la cart restaurant "La Yana". Neg : The resort is an Old beaten down place, Food was the worst I had. Cats running around while you eat. Mosquitos haven on the resort. I won't go back to Cayo Largo. Pos : The beach is unreal very nice ! Friendly staff.

Memories Cayo Largo: Wonderful vacation 😎

Just got back from a relaxing trip in Cayo Largo. This was my third time at the Sol Cayo Largo. I traveled with my friend. Upon arrival we got very good adjoining oceanview rooms. The view from our balcony was amazing. The white sand beaches and turquoise water around the island are breathtaking. Hotel staff are very friendly and professional. I will certainly be back again.

Memories Cayo Largo: Relaxing vacation.

Sol CL is a nice place to enjoy the atmosphere of Cayo Largo. Check-in is confusing, more porters are required. Rooms are spacious and very clean, but during heavy rains, water pools on the floor - very slippery. I had no hot water for 3 days. It was cloudy and the solar heater didn't have a chance. A la Carte dinners are excellent. The white wine is good, the red - so-so. Better organized, and inclusive, trips to Playa Sirenas and Paraiso are required. Cubana was the low spot.

Nous avons passé la semaine du 12 au 19 août à l'hôtel Pelicano et c'était la première fois que nous allons à cet endroit au mois d'août. Très belle température, très beau et chaud. Les chambres sont toujours propres mais la piscine laissait à désirer, ce qui n'est pas le cas quand nous y allons dans un autre temps de l'année. Hello everyone.....this little run down of the resort will be short and sweet......the place itself is some what runned down....they have upgraded some of their rooms.....the older room s are really bad.....many thins are either broken or about to break.......the swimming pool is okay but beware of the water for they use ocean water inside.......never ever seen this concept before.......the ocean is okay but once again you have to be carefull with the huge waves in the water.....red flag is very [... read more] common in this area of the ressort......the food is okay too but once the run out of something you have to wait for them to recieve more by ship.....could take some time to receive their shipments......the animation team is very good....these workers do almost everything in the ressort....its not uncommon to see the the person in charge of the towels also play in night shows or help out in cleaning tables at the buffet....their staff is at a minimum....people in Cayo Largo work 20 straight days and sometimes more...in the month of August the weather is extremely warm...with the humidex it could easily reach 45 C.......I tip my hat out to these Cuban workers who work very hard to please thier guest at the ressort......all and all we passed a very nice vacation at the Pelicano...... thanks Cuba.....you always manage to do things the right way even if the ressort is a little old......the potential of this place is huge if someone will one day decide to upgrade it the right way.....Cayo Largo is a small island with a great future.....lets hope they see it and make it grow into something really big....would go back if they decide to build more hotels or renovate those that are already thier.....

Villa Natura: Great resort

Rooms were like a basic hotel room with updated decor which is all you need when your away south the food was good always something to eat there's a bit of a language barrier but we're in their country so that's on us beach was nice a little rough but could be the time of year. Pool was nice

Grand Memories Cayo Largo: Good resort!

What i really liked about Iberostart Villa Marinera it's quite and cosy place. It's really good to go on a family vacation and get away from the city noise. The food was surprisingly not bad at all despite all the talks people say about food at Cuba hotels. The selection wasn't really wide, but that's ok with me. One downside was that actual beach is a ferry 10 min travel distance from the villa but depends on how you look at it. There are also free busses running from villa to main Iberostar hotel with the nice beach and all the services included if you are a villa dweller. Overall it was a very good vacation for a descent price. I would definitely consider coming back one day.

Starfish Cayo Largo: Older hotel but still nice

The rooms are older but clean. The grounds are very well maintained. The food was very good in all the restaurants. The staff are very very friendly. Beach lots of seaweed but cleaned everyday. Hotel just needs some upgrading that would make it a 4 star. Would I go back probably not but a place for a quiet vacation. Thank you O'Neil for your help in booking.

Starfish Cayo Largo: Really Surprised!

The hotel is older (like most Cuba hotels) but very clean, we had a beautiful ocean view with balcony doors. Our friends did have to move rooms due to the air conditioner not working but the staff made is stress free. Grounds we nice, entertainment ok but we had blast with the activity staff and all our new friends we met. If your looking for a quieter type of resort or have kids this would be a good place to go. Beach wasn't as smooth as beaches on the main land but the waves were awesome [... read more] to play in. As for food, besides the boring breakfast this has been the best we've eaten at. Fresh fish, lobster and calamari, even their Cuban soup had flavor!! 7 of us went down and would we go back? All of us said yes, a real good bang for the buck.

Memories Cayo Largo: Great vacation at Cayo Largo

Very close to the airport, you will be checked in within an hour of arrival. Beautifully landscapes and maintained grounds, with two salt water pools and fish pond and artificial river. Large, well equipped rooms and comfortable beds. Stunning beach with the white powder sand and turquiose see, plenty of fish swimming in the shallow water. Basic food. Off season, so I don't expect much. Looks like the supply boat didn't come in for the first 3 days, so no cheese for the pizzeria, and no fresh fruit or veggies. But I don't go to Cuba for the food. Really dumb evening shows, or maybe I'm just getting old. Or maybe it's because I really liked the band, as I have other bands I've seen in other parts of Cuba, and we wondered why they didn't just do a concert so we could dance. I guess it's something you have to learn somewhere and Cuba isn't the best place? Of course, the life of a server on Cayo Largo probably sucks big time. I go for the diving and the music. Villa Natura: Laid back and relaxing resort

We stayed at Iquana from June 23 to July 1. The hotel is quite small with gorgeous view of the ocean from most rooms. We stayed in a standard room but the new wooden bungalows look really nice and they are building more. The staff was great and we enjoyed the food. The beach was nearly gone and the ocean was too rough to swim in. We tried it once and were lucky to get out alive.We have the scrapes and cuts to prove it. There were only a handful of guests-15 to 18 and there were far more staff than guests. There was still a show every night though and as always the dancing and singing by amazingly talented Cubans was wonderful. Roger the DJ was very gracious and made us feel very welcome and he played nice music at a wonderful pitch. The pool was salt water and very clean and a nice size. There were no activities at all in the day time so we visited other resorts and the paradise beach and serenias beach. We took the little train and then the boat to serenias which was fun. The beach at the Sol hotels was much better than ours and so we would walk there(about 20 minutes each way). We cut through the other reorts as the path runs all along them connecting resorts. Would I return yes. I loved the nature and unspoiled beauty of this island. The staff were very very nice as well. I would likely stay at the Sol hotel-one of them probabably the Sol Cayo Largo next time because they were more lively with activities and guests! But I am glad to have had this experience and we really enjoyed our time. If you are looking for a totally laid back vacation with no stress and tons of rest this is the spot for you. but if you enjoy activities and the luxury of being able to jump in the ocean any time , you may be disappointed. Fortunately we like to walk so our walks to the other resorts to swim in the sea were fine for us.It was a long walk in the heat though.

Memories Cayo Largo: Very natural

Nice, quiet place. We had an amazing time. Thank to Pedro, he makes my husband 's birthday really special. Also, thanks to guys and girls at the restaurant s , it was always something prepared for us at the table. Feels in a friendly environment. This is our favorite place since this June. Of course, it was a few little troubles with water and weather, but it does not ruined our Vacation Will be back soon.

Yes,It is Special. Very close airport but quiet very much in the day time(June is not peak time),and it locate the real marina,so many boat /yacht start from here,but it is still quiet.
