Playa Costa Verde: Will be returning soon!

Great family resort and everything went perfect! The staff were very nice and it was close the airport. The food was not that great, maybe 5/10, but the rooms were great, we had a suite. The pool was great, we did not use, due to the sun.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Beautiful resort, beach and weather couldn't ask for more.

Hotel is big but well maintained , plenty of restaurants and bars, food was good and the people were awesome , we were a group of 6 all very happy with the exception of one day one room from our group not having the towels but overall was a very good vacation we would go back. PS we were hoping to be delayed and stay a couple more days but that didn't happen. We met a wonderful young lady by the name of Natalie working in the lobby bar she nicknamed us the Toronto family.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Resort 3 stars

This was our second time to this resort . The resort was almost empty only 50 people. Staff are fantastic and friendly. Rooms was clean but TV not working, they coming fixing but not work at all. Afternoon no water in room. Food , no shortages but wasn't many option. The food menu was almost the same. All restaurant was closed. They push people for ala carte (Italian, International) but served the same food as the buffet. Entertainment was minimal and not interesting. Entertainment and C [... read more]uban band was the worst for my 15 years experience in Cuba. Beach beautiful but water is full of seaweed and full of rocks, impossible swimming of snorkeling. Lots of mosquito and bugs , they leave huge welts that itch so badly. OFF did not help. The resort need very good manager for fixing many problem, the resort was much better before covid. Now I am not recommended this hotel for my friends.

The resort is very nice nice Very clean one thing it needs more light for when going back to the hotel and more variety of liquor ? I been in Cuba 6 times this it was one of the best service was very good

Grand Memories Holguin: Worst experience ever !!!

From the first day to the last toilet lick, bad smell and ... Reception every single day take a note and fix zero. Employees lying, nexus tours lying. Simple example! How long will take to drive to Santiago de Cuba if I take your tour ... Answer ! 90 min maximum. After you pay and tour day only in the bus you will have a correct information by the fact and twice longer Anyway never again

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Great Value!

We just came back from this resort. We have stayed in block A on the Sanctuary side, February 11-18. We did not have Primium. AC worked fine in our room. We don't like it too cold, so we only had AC on when we were out of the room. I went swimming in the ocean at least 3 times a day, and we spent most of our time on the beach, not by the pools. The beach is beautiful and clean. There is a team with a tractor raking the beach and removing the weeds and garbage at least 2x a day. There was plenty  [... read more]of food and drinks every day. No problems with anything for us. The room, the hotel, and public bathrooms are very clean, and you can see the stuff working and maintaining all of this all the time. Tipping is important. We had mostly CAN 20, 50 bills. They will gladly exchange CAN coins they have for your bills, and then you tip with the coins:). I think we've spent ~$300 CAN on tips + we brought some gifts. All was excellent, especially for the price we have paid.

Do not book bungalows not ready. I did had no TV, fridge and power went out twice had to down grade to main hotel. Main hotel no hot water just like warm. Only had chicken legs ate that for 4 days for lunch and dinner. Did get pork once. Only rum no wine. Food was always cold in buffet. The staff were amazing and very helpful. I was there for a week and had 3 different rooms.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Great resort with great food

The hotel was exactly as expected with a beautiful beach, great food and friendly staff. everything was always cleaned. The staff was always busy helping and making our trip memorable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Hoping for a better experience next time!

We all know Cuba faces its own challenges. Club Amigo definately has its own issues. Lazy staff. Toilet paper shortages. Below average food. Being rated a 2.5 star to a 3 star online? Id give it a 1 star.

Playa Pesquero: Beautiful beaches!

This my 4th time visiting this resort! The resort is beautiful and well maintained. Gardiners and maintenance staff are out and about trimming bushes and making improvements every day. The beach has calm turquoise water and its perfect to enjoy swimming, snorkeling and water activities. The food has improved since last year, more of a variety. The staff is very friendly! The pool area is clean and they also have water activities available.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Aston Costa Verde Resort

Just returned from a week at Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort. All went well. The resort itself was neat and clean. Our room was clean and everything worked as you would expect. The attendants worked hard each day to clean up the room and provide any necessary items such as water, beer and tp and towels. The food was quite good dispute several warnings from other travellers that Cuba lacked many items. Our resort was always well stocked and the food choices were plentiful. The beach was great [... read more]. Good service on the beach and at the bars near by. Friendly and welcoming bartenders and lots of choice for tropical drinks. The staff throughout the resort were extremely helpful and worked hard to make the experience relaxing and fun. Our only concern for the entire week would be the airline. Late both ways but that is not a reflection of the resort itself. Bring a cushion for your beach lounger!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Great Resort!!

My husband and I just got back from a weeks stay at Sanctuary, we were not sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived at the resort at around 10.00pm, check-in was a breeze, staff immediately grabbed a luggage cart for us and whisked us to our beautiful room. The food was good, always found something we liked, the al la Cartes, especially the International and Japanese were impressive, really enjoyed!! The grounds were beautiful, and the layout of the resort is really nice and compact, so everywhere is a short walk. The staff here deserve mention, as they are the best. They do their best to make the guests have a great vacation experience.

Playa Pesquero: Excellent Value!

This was our second visit to Playa Pesquero and definitely will not be our last. The property is well maintained, the grounds are beautiful, and the staff is so welcoming. The food was plentiful and delicious. We never wanted for anything. And of course, the beach is amazing. I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful Resort

Well staffed with professionals that were attentive, friendly, and a lot of them spoke english very well. This resorts grounds where breath taking. The mature vegetation looked wild and natural (by design) while the other parts where manicured thoughtfully and lovingly by the many gardeners seen on grounds everyday cutting, clipping, pruning the many varieties of bushes, shrubs and trees, as well as collecting the falling coconuts daily to cut open and offer to guests. The beach is shared [... read more] with one other resort and at the Rio de oro end of the beach lay many coconut trees for shade and seemingly endless loungers, the sand is soft beautiful. Part of the beach offers some stone and coral that leads to a costal reef along the small cliff at the edge of the resort that is great for snorkeling or stay near the edge of the beach and play and view many sea creatures and fish in the tidal pools. To the left of the stone and coral is a smooth flat sandy shore line terrific for a dip or take a swim along the entire length of the beach. There are places throughout the resort to lounge with wonderful views as well a a small Garden, a Spa , three other small beaches one of which is very private. You will have no problem finding refreshments with a lobby bar, pool bar, swim up pool bar as well as a bar very near the Beach. There’s a large buffet, four El la carts and a snack bar open 24/7 which serves some good options if you miss the buffet (I liked the pizza) Throughout the day the lobby is relaxed and is a wonderful spot to have a snooze in a comfortable chair out of the direct sun whilst the wind blows through the vegetation around you creating a wonderful sense of peace, or take in your surroundings with friends and family, maybe challenge them to a game of pool on one of the two tables located in the lobby. At night you will find a live show and many guess gather to listen, watch , and take part in the singing and dancing. I loved this resort with its mature landscaping, well kept pool and stunning views of the shoreline and beach.

Iberostar Coral Holguin: fantastic trip

As always, the resort was fantastic but it's the staff that make it special from check in to check out from the butlers to the bartenders and support staff already planning our next visit. trip central was also great to deal with and i can't say enough about Air Transat

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Mixed feelings

I know it is not all the fault of the hotel but front desk information is almost non-existent. We called down to front desk for someone to unlock our safe as I had forgotten the code I put in. It took three calls then I was somehow blocked for further calls. I received a call saying someone would be there at 2 after already waiting for two hours in my room, the guy finally showed up at 3. I love Cuba, its people and I have been going to Cuba every year since 2005. I’ll continue to go because I love it. Not sure about Sanctuary though. The hotel and grounds are impeccable and beautiful. The fact that the Sanctuary perks were downsized this year from last year was frustrating and not explained well on the Sunwing website. So much confusion for a few bucks more for premium that was part of the sanctuary package when I was there last year. Not to mention flight delays both ways.

Playa Costa Verde: Beautiful beach

This resort is on the older side but the beach is gorgeous. Additionally, the staff were amazing. They were very friendly and helpful. There was a shortage of some food and drink items and the food was boring and repetitive. There was a shortage of fruit, vegetables, meat and some kinds of alcohol.

Playa Pesquero: Très bon resort

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre semaine de vacances au Pesquero. C'était la deuxième fois pour ma copine et la première fois pour moi. J'ai aussi un ami qui y est allé deux fois au courant des 3 dernières années et il a bien aimé cet hotel. Ma review : Efficacité générale : très efficace, aucune attente à la réception, aux bars et aux restos. Service : Super service. Tout les employés sont super gentils et souriants. Mais dans tous les resorts où je suis allez, c'est au Pesquero que j'ai trouvé la plus grande variété et il était facile de manger une très bonne assiette par repas. Bravo à l'administration et aux cuisiniers sachant que les ressources sont très limités dans ce beau pays. Nous avons essayé 2 restos à la carte : Le romantico et le cubain : les deux étaient très bons et super service. Le vin offert au romantico était meilleur que les couteilles à 15$ ici au Québec à la SAQ. Merci ! Boissons : J'ai adoré les bar à café ! Les café espagnols, Bréziliens, hmmm et plein d'autres possibilités. Et merci de nous offrir du bon rhum de qualité supérieur à ce qu'on peut retrouver dans d'autres hotels. Chambre : Très grande et propre malgré qu'un peu défraîchie. Honnêtement, c'est bien correct comme cela. Aucun problème. La porte patio barrait bien et le coffre fort. On a toujours eu un beau service. Piscine : Super belle grande piscine pleine de courbe. Nous ne sommes pas des gens de piscine lorsqu'on est sur le bord de la mer (nous étions à la plage toute la journée). Cependant, pour marcher le jour ou le soir et prendre des photos, elle est magnifique. Et ceux qui aiment les piscines l'ont vraiment appréciée. Plage : J'aime les plages désertes où on se sent seul au monde... mais la Pesquero n'est pas ainsi. Plage où on retrouve pas mal de monde et de la musique omniprésente. C'est moins mon style. Cependant, tout le monde est gentil et est là pour relaxer ou socialiser alors c'est ok. Mais pas mon style de plage préférée. Baignade en mer : Facile, beau sable, rien qui pique les pieds. Snorkeling accessible facilement (qualité moyenne). Nous avons connu le magnifique snorkeling de Cozumel, Hawai, Philipinnes, Guadalajara... alors devant le Pesquero, ce n'est pas aussi riche... loin de là. Mais c'est tout de même mieux que d'autre endroits où il n'y a rien. Animation : Très bien pour ceux qui aiment cela. Il y a toujours une activité en marche et les animateurs sont plaisants et amusants. Ma copine aime ces affaires là... moi non. haha. je préfère la paix, le bruit du vent et des vagues plutôt que de la musique, de la voix dans le micro et des gens qui s'animent. Alors ça dépend des goûts. Mais pour ceux qui aiment cela, je trouve qu'ils étaient bons et plaisants. Nous ne pouvons pas évaluer les autres services car on ne les a pas utilisé (disco, spectacles, etc...) Overall : Semaine très appréciée et j'y retournerais sans hésité. Playa Pesquero: Totally Recommend

This a great resort, beautiful grounds, lovely staff, stunning beach. Great coffee from the lobby and good cocktails. Huge pools, separated by a bridge. I would recommend this resort for everyone, families, couples and solo travellers.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Perfect family holiday!

I've been to Cuba many times, but this was my first visit to the resort. There were seven of us in our group, with ages ranging from six to eighty-four, and everyone had a great time. Most people don't rave about the food in Cuba, but we were pleasantly surprised with fabulous local seafood and fresh papayas. There were always many choices and everyone was satisfied. The rooms were comfortable, the beach was perfect for young children, and staff went out of their way to be pleasant and helpful.  [... read more]Next year I will take my own beach towel, because I found the resort towels too big and heavy when wet- plus two of ours "disappeared" on the beach (be very careful with your belongings- this was not our only "loss") and they were expensive to replace. Otherwise, a great week!
