Marazul Hotel: 2nd time there--for a 2 star resort-- great value

2nd time there--minor issues which were sorted out on both occasions--will return again either this year or early next year-I have seen all the negative reports about this place which I have never had to deal with--for an all inclusive the breakfast --very good--lunch and dinner--great(even had turkey on my Birthday)

Marazul Hotel: gorgeous location resort

This hotel needs upgrade and it gona be perfect for example new mattresses new shower accessories new air conditions and new doors locks .faux ceilling and repainting the hall building.in general i liked the hotel because of the location

Marazul Hotel: Underwhelming

Food quality and selection poor most days. If you don't tip for poor service expect to be ignored. Hotel was dark and dingy. Shuttle to the city limited, not as advertised. Language class was cancelled. Hotel staff indifferent to visitors too often. Not much going on in the area. Entertainment and DJ were good.

Marazul Hotel: Worthy of a Repeat

The hotel itself was clean, staff were helpful and food was in abundance. The elevator and AC worked great. Of the 2 single beds - one was comfortable and the other squished sideways when laid upon. Pillows were thin, but not lumpy. The beach is nearby - just have to ignore the garbage left by tourists and locals. No one ever sees it as his/her job to maintain the beauty of the landscape. Saint John's Vedado: Amazing location

The hotel is in amazing location, but it's in reparation with clients inside....Only one elevator working and it was broken while my stay there and I was in the 10th floor, so they had to change me to hotel Vedado...

Hotel El Bosque: Relaxing place

Good place to relax, good services, and nice views, but there were no consideration for vegetarians at their restaurants, WiFi only at lobby also phones calls can be made only from the lobby..........

Club Acuario: Well located resort.

After booking this holiday I read the reviews of the hotel, some good some very bad. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, centrally located within Marina Hemingway with a large beautiful pool. The staff were helpful and friendly. My room and the four other rooms of people traveling with me all had fantastic walk in showers for two. Hot water and good pressure. Air conditioning was very welcome. Club Acuario: Pool bar staff get the one star

We weren't looking for a fancy time, we've been to Cuba before and know the deal. But front desk staff blatantly ignored you and talked about you in front of you, room service stole a $100+ blanket scarf and the transit staff showed up for 15 minutes and then was unavailable for the rest of the trip. Cocky guy cooking the meat on the grill asked my fiancé if we were friends while we were having dinner and some staff were just rude. Marazul Hotel: Declining resort

The hotel is falling apart. No repairs are done. I was here two years ago and it's worse than it was.The food is really really bad and the wait staff is indifferent at best. At least the beach is good. And it's only a 20 minuit ride to Havana.

Marazul Hotel: Good value

Although Tropicoco is nothing spectacular, it served the purpose of my trip very well. The beach is ok, I tool nice long walks along the shore in either direction. The area is safe, no one has hassled me. Food was ok, not fancy but I always find something good to eat. The daily freshly made bread, even just with butter, was amazing. Plenty of fruits and vegetables. It actually exceeded my expectation of a two star Cuban hotel. The free shuttle bus (a quick 20 minute ride) to the center of the [... read more] old city. facilitated my daily visit to Havana either for a full day or a half day. The problems were the lack of beach and room towels, and sun tanning beds. The elevator didn't work for a couple of days. Drinks were basic, they don't even offer Mijitos. I am also happy with the service from the agent Miranda Mawdsley. It has been a good experience.

Islazul Colina Hotel: Great value for the price

Hotel was very basic, but with friendly staff and a cheap all night snack bar. Perfect location, very easy to get around Vedado on foot from the hotel or to grab a quick cab over to Habana Vieja. Location is quite noisy.

Club Acuario: Pretentious

The Marina Hemingway area, where the Club Acuario hotel is located, is very nice. The food and service were not execrable but not acceptable either. It was probably the worst of all the 12 hotels I've stayed-in and experienced so far in Cuba.

Hotel Atlantico: Very good

Front desk was very nice , . Food was also very good with lots of variety and meat plentiful . This hotel has mostly families or couples .So if you are single and alone and looking to party half the night you could find yourself sitting alone and bored. Of course the beach and the bus to Havana were excellent Also I did not have to pay the $25 departure tax at the airport which surprised me.

Hotel Atlantico: ok

The resort is adequate, beautiful beach, free bus to Havana is a huge plus. Too far away from Varadero airport - why not fly into Havana? Food was O.K., but problematic for vegetarians - many dishes have little pieces of meat added. Sunwing changed our time to 6.15 A.M. - ungodly hour that I always try to avoid. They're supposed to give us $50 vouchers for the inconvenience, but haven't received them yet. No vegetarian meals on the return flight.

Hotel Atlantico: very good location

the hotel has a big potential but is understaff the food is good but the services is very slow, need more spun, glasses plates problem with no drinking water available and waiting to get some to long, and very ignorant services personal. most of the rooms need urgent renovation and has mold and hut water is only some time available or is not pressure. some of the cleaning personal has to be discipline for stilling from the rooms. the animation is working hard but the sound system has to be repla [... read more]ce has vey bad distortion .

Marazul Hotel: Delivered as expected

This hotel was clean and delivered as I expected. Our TV did not work nor did the air conditioner. But to be honest, we didn't need either. So we were happy with our stay. Staff was great. Service slow but polite.

Club Acuario: Excellent place to stay

Base of rate every thing was good , very clean hotel and free service to Havana was helpful to visit city during day time. Hotel restaurant was clean with good food . beside the large swim pool bar is open 24/7

Marazul Hotel: Basic hotel with easy access to Havana...

This hotel is across the road from the beach. It is very basic. Food is ok. Don't expect a four star stay at a bargain price. I have been to the Tropicoco many times. There was problems with the room phone this time and one day there was no water for hours.

Hotel Atlantico: Just ok

This hotel could be great! But sadly it's not. Rooms are ok, but we're not picky about staying in a dated room. At least it was clean! However, on day 3 we noticed we were getting bug bites around our ankles only...so there's definitely bugs in the hotel/beds. The food here is awful. The meat was never fully cooked, so stay away from the chicken and pork! Salads are recycled daily, but there's always a new dish in the heated section. After 7 days of eating rice and potatoes (really only safe opt [... read more]ion, as everything else is left out for hours without proper refrigeration) I was definitely ready to come home. There is ZERO atmosphere at this hotel. Everyone was in bed by 1030pm!! So if you're looking for a good time, don't stay here. There is a bar in the hotel which looked like it would be fun, but it was never open. The lobby bar leaves a lot to be desired. The pool was open and was clean, but unless you like swimming in copious amounts of chlorine, I'd avoid the pool. Gorgeous beach literally 10 feet from the hotel - which is its saving grace. The shuttle into Havana was great! Although don't let the locals fool you into thinking old Havana is the place to go. New Havana is just as nice if not nicer and with shops/restaurants you'd actually want go to. So all in all, paying $650pp all inclusive is a great deal, however, this hotel leaves a lot to be desired.

Las Terrazas Aparthotel: Good value

I was lucky to stay in the renovated apartments, really nice but lots of constuction noise. There's no safe but I never lost any money. Make sure the house keeper really gives you clean towels and sheets, they won't if you don't ask. I enjoyed it.
