Secrets Huatulco: Great Resort

The resort grounds are manicured and very well maintained . All the restaurants are excellent and do not require reservations. We have stayed at this resort 6 times and will be back for our 7th. Amazing Staff

Hotel Castillo Huatulco: Nice Hotel Just what we were looking for

Love this small Hotel. My wife and I were looking for something a little different this year. And we found it in this quite little resort. The food is good always something to eat. The pool at the hotel is nice with shade areas as well as sunny location for the tanners. The beach club is also very wonderful. Location is situated close to shopping and other beach's everything is a short walk or even shorter taxi ride. All in all my wife and I loved Hotel Castillo we hope to return soon.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Beautiful!

We were a two couples (ages 55 to 65) from rural Ontario, looking for sun, interesting landscape and culture, relaxation, water sports, good food and comfortable accommodations. Las Brisas Huatulco more than met our expectations. Whether a la carte or buffet, the food was varied, fresh and delicious. Set on a hillside in the Sierra Madres, the modern, warm architecture of the resort presents breathtaking views of the nearby bays and coastlines. Lots of stairs and steep walkways, but always 6 seater shuttles available, rarely with any wait time. So no complaints from us. Highly recommended.

Secrets Huatulco: Amazing resort fantastic beach!

The resort and it's amenities are 1st class all the way. A'la carte restaurants are wonderful but the dinner buffet is not very good. Breakfast buffet is perfect and the hours of operation are very accommodating to all guests.Rooms are very spacious grounds and buildings are kept impeccably clean and gorgeous plantings surround the property. On a personal note, my wife had a terrible accident on the grounds during our visit that ended in her breaking her ankle. She stepped in a hole in the g [... read more]rass that had grown over and was undetectable to sight that resulted in her injury. When reported to the resort concierge, they responded with a very lack lustre response. They showed little to no empathy towards her injury and told us if she requires medical support we were responsible for the cost. I found this very odd as to the injury was a result of the resorts negligence of maintaining the grounds in a safe condition or visibly identifying the hazard as to avoiding an injury. When the doctor examined my wife he was very professional and quickly tended to her pain and prescribed medicine to aleve her pain. I was very surprised we were never offered any compensation as result of the resorts negligence and no representative from resort management contacted us, very odd in my understanding. In closing I am moving forward to investigate some kind of future compensation from the resort or Sunwing because the resort upon our departing had still not done any action to restore or correct the hazard. Tread carefully in the future is the lesson we are taking away from this experience.

Park Royal Beach Huatulco: An experience

The suites were beautiful, clean very spacious and spectacular view from the huge deck. The helpers were lovely, some quite innocently angelic, a real highlight of the trip to interact with these sweet people. The food was fabulous, abundant varieties, ethnic themes. interesting, healthy choices, beautiful fresh fruits, and decadent desserts. The worst was the blasting loud music at the pool which flooded the beach area, insensitive to the age and feedback from the patrons and making it difficul [... read more]t to relax. We frequently walked down the beach and stretched out in front of another resort for peace and quiet. Also there were not enough lounge chairs or shade umbrellas at our beach. All the chairs were taken, reserved by towels, by 9 or 10 am. The music during the dinner shows was also too loud, forcing people to eat outside and not see the show, or come to dinner early before the shows started. Canadians are generally too polite to give feedback but may choose another vacation spot next time. I gave my feedback about the noise to the manager on our departure.

Dreams Huatulco: Very nice resort

Awesome resort with fantastic service! The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The rooms could use an update with more cupboard space and better pillows. The beach was beautiful and great for swimming. Loved all the amazing pools. Could use a few more treadmills in the gym. The best restaurants were the Italian and Asian. Overall very recommendable!

Las Brisas Huatulco: Amazing a

Beautiful resort. Amazing staff. Love the hills. Burn calories so you can totally enjoy the food and drinks. Shuttle available if you have had a couple of drinks. Only issue is management controlling expenditure limiting staff st the a la cartes. So unfair to the staff and client.

Park Royal Beach Huatulco: good resort

food was good- enough veggies! rooms were good. there is a step between sleeping area and bathroom that is dangerous. all staff is very nice. the music at the pool beside the beach was too loud at many times.

Hotel Castillo Huatulco: Great time

Small resort but great experience. Nice that it is close to everything within walking distance. Beach is great with nice waves. Rooms are kept clean everyday and there is always something good to eat . Would be nice to have balconies to sit out on so next time I will ask for in the front of the resort where there is balconies. Bus to beach is always there when you want to leave or go to the beach . Barcelo Huatulco: Huatalco 2019

Barcelo is a great vacation resort. Second time here and it was great. Staff is amazing. Always willing to accommodate most times. I had asked the front desk if I could have an additional mattress cover or some additional blankets for my bed in order to increase the comfort of the bed. Las Brisas Huatulco: Great family vacation

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The grounds were very well kept, beaches are very nice and child friendly, my kids loved the pool and entertainment. Overall, we loved the location, beaches and the resort. We plan to be back next year.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Nice resort

it was a nice resort, lots of stairs so not really handicapped friendly. We were able to upgrade when we arrived as our original room had a fair amount of ants. We enjoyed our stay in the upgraded room. Close proximity to little towns and went to some meals off the resort which were great tasting and good prices

Secrets Huatulco: Fantastic Stay

Went from Feb 3-10. The resort is beautiful top to bottom and the beach is spectacular. The restaurants were all fantastic, one caution I would pass along is that all the restaurants offer multiple courses which I would suggest making use of as portions are on the smaller side, with the exception of Castaways which serves up massive steaks. Yes,  [... read more]if you can't swim then this isn't for you, but the waves added to the enjoyment for us! My only issue would be the beach chair situation as it can be a struggle at times to find a spot (pool or ocean) as there are plenty of aholes who throw towels down at 6am only to sit in them for 10 minutes a day several hours later. The staff will keep an eye out and move belongings/towels that have sat idle for an extended period of time but you kind of have to ask them to find you a spot before they're willing to go to that length, which I can appreciate as it's a bit of an awkward situation for them, but that is the hotel policy. It would just be a whole lot easier if they simply had an extra stack of loungers. One other recommendation would be to avoid rooms close to the 'center' / lobby, as you can hear the nightly Sky Bar entertainment crystal clear, it does shutdown between 11-1130pm, and although most nights we were out there enjoying it, there were two occasions where we had early mornings and wanted to get to sleep before then but couldn't.

Secrets Huatulco: Awesome Vacation

We went as a group of 9 family members of varying ages and interests and everyone loved the resort. The quaity of the food, drinks and service was more than any of us had ever experienced at other all inclusive resorts.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Winter Vacation 2019

Just returned from a 12 day/11 night all inclusive WestJet vacation booked through TripCentral. Special thanks to Danielle Pyette at TripCentral for a great location/vacation suggestion. The extra friendly staff, the great food, the great beaches and the well maintained grounds are why I give Las Brisas a 5 star rating. Can’t say enough about the Amazing staff and food. We ventured off resort to local towns. The restaurants/transportation/local people are also great/friendly-always felt safe. And of coarse the weather is perfect. Highly recommend Las Brisas Huatulco-we will be returning.

Secrets Huatulco: Secrets Huatulco is Amazing

The setting is amazingly beautiful. The staff and people of Huatulco were extremely friendly, polite, efficient and hard working. The weather can’t be beat anywhere in the Caribbean and we have visited almost all of the major islands. The food was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of the restaurants. Loved that ,most were a la carte. Loved the adults only, loved the no dinner reservations required. Loved no bracelets, loved the free water spots, loved the free room servi [... read more]ce, loved premium brand alcohol, loved free resort wide wi fi, rooms were great size, great balconies and wide opening to balconies. As many reviews indicate, the preferred club should offer some additional amenities but definitely wouldn’t deter us from going. Gym was adequate and spa great, but a little pricey The only recommendation I would have would be to implement towel cards, sorry, yes towel cards, for two reasons, firstly to prevent chair hoarding. The resort staff do their best to monitor but it is extremely difficult to control. Secondly for environmental reasons, their unnecessary laundry should significantly decrease. Another eco friendly option would be to have water coolers in public areas to refill water bottles. It’s hot and lots of water is required. This was our second trip to Huatulco, first to Secrets. We, a group of 9, would highly recommend Secrets and Huatulco. Thanks to Candace at Trip Central for making it happen smoothly.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Very well run resort

While the grounds are sprawling, and you definitely need to be fit to manage all the stairs (there are no elevators to get between many locations; do NOT come here if you cannot manage stairs), the many levels and the space between facilities make it seem uncrowded and relaxed. The general vibe is laid back, but efficient. The staff is relentlessly helpful, and the facilities are very clean. Overheard someone complaining that there was no food available between 11:30 am and 1 pm. Never  [... read more]heard another complaint, and seriously, if you can't stuff breakfast in you before 11:30, you could order room service (maybe there's a fee for that, not sure). We will be returning.

Secrets Huatulco: Very friendly resort!

The hotel lobby is showing its age! The staff where very friendly and good was very good! Views from the hotel where amazing! A little too far out of town but cabs a reasonable! Not enough pool chairs and umbrella's unless your up at 6:00 to save a chair :( We did enjoy our stay!

Dreams Huatulco: Good ocean swimming

Service very good ,overall clean place ,found food not as good as in past years ,fishing was very good by hiring local fisherman off of beach .Weather is always the same getting sunshine and warm days ,nice warm breeze off of ocean makes days very easy to sit under palapas with cold drinks.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Beautiful Resort

The resort is on a large piece of property so feels spacious and easy to find a sense of quiet and calm. There is a nice view of distant mountains and the grounds have beautiful plants and lots of birds. We really enjoy the daily tennis lessons (Paco is a great teacher) and yoga. Restaurants are good, and we enjoyed the Beach Club rooms with a balcony and view, along the additional services.
