Kunuku Aqua Resort: wonderful family getaway

The resort is fairly new so everything is modern and clean which was very nice. The staff were friendly and attentive, aside from the maid whom we only had every other day? The pools are clean and the kids really enjoyed having water slides right outside the room. The beaches the shuttle goes to are clean and safe. Great snorkeling. And the tour into town is wonderful.

Kunuku Aqua Resort: fantastic resort

The hotel was very clean and modern. The rooms were great, rainfall shower heads and all. The grounds were very well kept. The kids had a blast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The layout was great as it doesnt matter where your room is you are close to a pool and the buffet is central to everything. The shuttle service to town and the beaches was perfect. Did not leave you there for too long. The beaches were fabulous.

Our first impression of the resort was not great. We were dropped off in the luggage/storage area instead of at the main entrance. I would suggest this be changed as first impressions are important. Once we were inside we were more impressed. I loved the size of the resort. You did not need to walk far to get to anything. It was not overcrowded. Reservations were only required for the Japanese restaurant. The service was good. We found it a bit slow sometimes in the buffet to get coffee, juice or cutlery. Our rooms were spacious and clean. The beach was beautiful and the snorkelling was amazing! The entertainment and bar staff were very friendly and helped make our vacation a memorable one. The free shuttle service to Willemstad was a great perk!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: great resort!

We vacationed with a group of 8 and found this resort to be a great find. Not too large but certainly had many amenities. Good Food, wonderful friendly staff, fabulous beach that had access to great snorkel spots.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy

I don’t know what my travel agent was thinking, booking me into a family resort. All those screaming children , Like little pink air raid sirens going off constantly. The staff ranged from polite distain to downright rude. I didn’t get a single good nights sleep due to the unreal levels of noise coming from an adjacent bar. Seriously, my windows were vibrating. And the noise went on until 2 AM every morning: I had to swallow sleeping pills, use earplugs and pile every pillow on the  [... read more]bed over my head just to filter out some of the noise. This made for an absolutely miserable holiday. And to top it all off, the beach wasn’t even real. It was sand trucked in from somewhere else and piled on the hard ground. An all around great resort. Clean, great service, friendly staff, food, drinks, amazing views!!! Very relaxing. Would definitely recommend this resort to family, friends and fellow travellers!!!!!!!!!!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great Beach

Sunscape resort in Curacao leaves a lot to be desired except for its fabulous beach. The staff is quite nice but not well trained. Management is very poor. Rooms are not well maintained. Food is passable. Too much loud music and noise all the time. Since the resort is quite small, you can’t escape it and it is hard to relax or sleep at night with this drumbeat going on all the time. We have been to many resorts and never have had this experience. Quite disappointing. I am not sure if our travel agent knew about all this. It definitely is overpriced and not worth it. Hilton Curacao: Wonderful snorkelling

We had room 313, beside the elevator and above the bar, facing ocean. Music generally ended around 10/11 p.m., so no concerns with noise. No night time entertainment, which was fine with us. Rooms large, clean, good beds, fridge, quiet A/C and well maintained. Grounds/pool/beach well maintained. Older style hotel (5 storys) with three good restaurants. B'fast buffet was extensive and good. All staff very friendly and fluent in many languages. Food, though very good, was a bit pricey but  [... read more]you have to keep in mind that island does not grow much, so majority of food (fruit, vegetables, meat) is imported. About 1 hour walking distance to town, or can take the hotel shuttle. However, shuttle only available for 2 round trips per day and you cannot take the morning shuttle into town and return with the evening one - if you take the morning (8:15) shuttle, you have to return with the 1:15 shuttle. If you take the 1:30 p.m. shuttle, you have to return at 5:30 p.m. or take a taxi (approx $10 U.S. one way). Three offsite restaurants within walking distance of hotel. Except for dive boat and "submarine" boat, no problem with motorized watercraft near on-site beach. Good snorkelling on-site. Lots of palapas/umbrellas at beach and pool area. Towel exchange no problem. Great steam bath/sauna on site. Hotel not located in a busy area.

Good resort but could be much better. Half the staff seemed disinterested and the other half was brilliant. Resolving room isssues was very slow. Not being able to book into the restaurants was a joke and very frustrating.

we had a room that leaked water from the room above. our room number was 2326. I was told to wait in my room for someone to come check it out at 7 pm. no one ended up showing up to do anything all night after waiting and calling front desk 4 times. we did end up getting a new room (2414) a day later. this room was better but you could see that there was the same water problem in it as 2326. the beach was awesome!! a little rocky but I had no issues there. the pool we were never in. food in the [... read more] buffet was the same everyday. very bland, not good at all. the Italian was great. the restaurant at the beach was great as well except for the rats!! lmfao! we didn't do the oceanic or Japanese as my wife has a food allergy to seafood. staff were great depending on where you were at.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Very Nice Resort

Overall it was very pleasant. Weather was very warm. Water was pleasantly warm. Beach was a little rocky to enter the water in most places, had to find a spot to enter where it was clear of rocks. Entertainment was good and they had activities ever evening. Rooms were spacious and well kept. Treks into town were safe and easy. Overall good time !!

Sandals Royal Curacao: Beautiful resort

We stayed at Santa Barbara resort in October 2017 and we enjoyed every moment spent there. The resort is beautiful, clean, their staff are very friendly, especially all the staff from Splash bar (Jaymie was awesome). We will definitely be back!

The resort was very nice, located directly on the beach! The food selection was quite good, the buffet needs to install fans as it is open air and extremely hot when you are sitting to eat. The room was very spacious and has everything that you need. Recommend this resort to others looking to have a relaxing beach vacation!!

Kunuku Aqua Resort: Amazing resort for families

Amazing resort perfect for families. Great size not too big and the facilities were great for kids. Extremely convenient location for traveling the island. The 3 bedroom apartment was very spacious and new.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: AmaZing resort

The ocean was magnificent. We tried so many new experiences. I have to recommend the aqua fairy. It was fantastic. The food and ppl were so nice :). Although they didn't have the best service at the breakfast buffet. But overall amazing.

Renaissance Curacao: A great resort

The hotel and service was great, no problems. Food was great, something different every day. The pools and man made sandy beach was something to see. Over all, I have not a thing to say bad about this resort. Jim Wlker

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Wonderful vacation

Sunscape in Curacao, although dated and needing a few upgrades this resort is well kept, beautiful friendly staff who go out of their way to please their guests AND with genuine ease. Buffet small in variety but always fresh and you can always find something to satisfy your taste buds. A la carte restaurants were very good and loved the fact that you didn't need to make reservations. Beach nice but take water shoes as lots of little stones, can always find a lounger under cover. Never used the p [... read more]ool as we loved the Caribbean to swim and dip. Snorkelling one of the best ever. Curacao itself is a beautiful colourful Island, we will definitely revisit.

Major problems with room facilities. Shower control unable to get hot water for first 2 days. Washbasin drain pipe not secured, leakage onto wife's cosmetics. Safety box not taking certain numbers. Some problems were fixed but we were moved to much nicer room as compensation plus given special a la carte dinner on peninsular. Staff extremely courteous, no complaints there. However, our new suite, beautiful and spacious but no plug for hair dryer in bathroom or no light over vanity area,  [... read more]explanation - no bulb available at the time. We refused to move again and managed the deficiencies. The room was very nice and spacious. Food was OK. Resort is quite nice, not too big. Room facilities should be checked on a regular basis before admitting guests.

Kunuku Aqua Resort: family friendly & peaceful stay

lovely, small, tidy friendly resort in the middle of the country. family friendly with lots of pool slides. Shuttles to the beach and into town available. A car rental is a must in order to fully tour the island.

Fantastic,Fun,Family appropriate.Very warm,welcoming,eager to please,sociable staff.Answered our questions in honest fashion.No pressure to sell anything.Enjoyed the various foods in particular a la carte.Enjoyed beach side dinners and safe water to swim.Music and evening shows very entertaining.
