Brisas Guardalavaca: Brisa’s Guardalavaca for the win!
The hotel as usual was immaculate. The food wasn’t plentiful but we ate well and never went hungry. Those expecting Canadian cuisine go elsewhere. The grounds are well manicured and everywhere there are workers making it beautiful. Lots of hot water for showers, lots of bottled water for drinking. Staff is so very friendly everywhere at Brisa’s. There was a lack of liqueurs and mix, sometimes vodka. That’s out of their hands. Safe to go off site anywhere in the town. Love it.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Great Time!
Overall great experience, you'll have a hard job finding a better resort in Cuba. Surprisingly good food, but fruit and vegetables were lacking the first couple days until an order arrived (still random shortages after that, no cola/no bacon). Royal service room was cleaned twice a day. No issues with towel/beach towels. Water in room everyday, beer and juice sometimes. Outside Shower was amazing, and lots of hot water. Main beach was better for swimming than Royal side, but Royal had better san [... read more]
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: NOT a 4-star hotel.
This hotel is about a 2.5 (star). The beach was beautiful...jelly fish, turtles, crabs, sea cucumbers, pelicans, ballyhoo, etc and beautiful, clear water with white sand! Garbage could be picked up more frequently from the bins, the bush, the sand, etc. The piano bar was also a very nice place to relax during the day and every evening there was live (very good), entertainment. The glass/windows were never cleaned anywhere, mold was present everywhere and often cheaply painted over to cover it [... read more]
Sanctuary White Sands: We had a great time!
Overall the resort was great! Staff was great, pool was awesome, beach was beautiful, room was clean. We had a great time joking around with the staff, playing volleyball at the beach, doing the activities. They went all out for New Years Eve and it was incredible. We did have a few days where the water in the room wasn't the warmest, but outside of that, we had an amazing trip.
Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Nice resort. It hadn't changed much since we were there last year.
The rooms are very nice and so is the beach. The food was ok. It's Cuba, so you know you are not going thete for that. The staff is super friendly. There was always plenty pf food. We plan on going again next year

Playa Luxury Cayo Guillermo: Over rated resort
This resort is a beautiful resort, the beach is stunning but unfortunately that's the end of the positive. The ala cart restaurants were a big disappointment, we actually preferred eating in the buffet which was OK. The beach dining was a disaster - lobster and pork was chard- there was no menu given to order our meal so we didn't know what we were having until it was served to us. The 7 days we were there the cabana sheets were never changed even after we had requested on several occasions. Cle [... read more]
Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Worth every penny!
Immaculately kept! The staff are always busy and engaged. They try hard to ensure your enjoyment. And a great holiday. A TRUE International selection of alcohol and foods. This resort gives great value for your dollar.
Starfish Guardalavaca: Small and quiet
Rooms and public areas all very clean. Wonderfull staff. Food limited and small buffet, only buffet right now. Snack bar only when they have food, French fries and rice. No soda in less you pay for it $2. All mixed drinks mixed with orange or lime mix. No issues there for us was good. Not many people there under 100 so never a line up for anything and can always find a chair on the beach around the pool. Only issue was we never had hot water the full week there. Heated by solar but we [... read more]
Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Nice Resort
Resort was nice and it was clean. The food because of food shortages in Cuba was very basic. The specialty restaurants all had pretty much the same menus. All in all though it was a nice resort with a great beach area.
Melia Las Antillas: Nice resort
I have to start with saying that Cuba is going thru some hard times and unfortunately it shows. I have been to this resort many times in the past and I have to be honest, I have seen a decline in the place. It is in desperate need of an up date. The grounds are beautiful but the rooms need a lot of work. in the many times that we have been to this resort, this was a bit of a disappointment. Again, I have to reiterate that Cuba is falling on hard times so this is not in any way the fault of [... read more]
Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Lovely holiday
Spent 11 days enjoying beautiful weather, good service, nice beach and decent food. The bus into town is more frequent, now hourly, which makes it easier to enjoy the cafes, markets and art galleries which make the trip more interesting.
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful resort!!
Very friendly staff and great food !!! There was so much to do and the beaches were breathtaking!!! I will go back there not just again but exclusively when I travel to Cuba.i can’t see anywhere else in Cuba that would match this place ❤️
Melia Varadero: Nice resort
The hotel was very nice beautiful inside, our room we stayed in was really great also the maid we had for the week was phenomenal she was so kind and sweet always made something with the towels on our bed with fresh flowers (we stayed on level 4 beach view) the food is Cuban but there's always something for everybody pretty disappointed and not having the variety of fruit that we normally have or some of the fruit being less than ripe but still fine, we didn't find the pool to be kept very clea [... read more]
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Not impressed
Third time at this resort and yes the gounds and beach are beautiful but no hot water all week. Towels and sheets not changed and not a great selection of food. It isn't like it used to be. Both Sunwing and Trip Cenral are endorsing this resort as a 4+ star when it should be a 3 at best.
Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing beach
Really positive things: rooms are perfect, location, ocean and beach. Fresh bread daily. Room for improvement: service as in the speed, urgency and being proactive with drinks for the buffet. Most days we were done eating before anyone brought us water or other drinks. Always a battle and very disappointing. Things you cannot change but expect: repeat food options, limited but always will find something to eat. Same with drink options. Lots of alcohol but when you’re looking to mix, good [... read more]
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Very nice resort
For the price this resort is perfect. Pool was cooler than we'd have liked but did get in anyway. The grounds were very well kept although there were low spots here and there with water in them which looked mosquito infested.
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Clean resort with amazing beach!
The hotel is very nice and clean. There is a nice area to walk. Hotel is close to beach. Beach is long and has many sunbeds and thatched umbrellas. Staff is friendly. However, only one elevator was working at the hotel. They provided very limited toiletries: only one very small shampoo and shower gel for the whole week. There was not enough space in lobby for evening shows and parties. There was not enough sunbeds at the swimming pools. And there were huge lines for everything: food, drinks, tow [... read more]
