Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Beach and staff

Very attentive staff , enjoyed beach beauty, the a la cart meals Asian was best ,met Canadians and even French speaking All were friendly -not like in Dominican-, buffet food was very good and little shy of fruit variety but always a fresh juice available,rose wine available as an option at all evening meals , white wine was great niot too dry,snack bar - had some supply issues the menu was limited and chicken sandwich was very good, beverages- a little light on alcohol too much ice sometimes [... read more], Rooms need a little finishing touches but A/C worked and beds comfortable, t least 4 english channels on TV,

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing Time

We spent a week at the resort at the end of January 2025. Everything was above our expectations having travelled many times to Cuba. Rooms were clean, the grounds are beautiful, food was above expectations and the beach was utterly breathtaking.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Nice Resort

We stayed on the Sanctuary side, premium package Pros: Great food - I've never said that about Cuba; Rooms are big; Lots of pools to choose from; You can take long walks on the beach, it's very quiet and secluded; Grounds are well maintained; Easy to get reservations at a la cart restaurants; the a la carte restaurant - le gourmet? is a hidden gem for a quiet breakfast or lunch. They didn't show up until after a few days of my being there. Even after I met them, they were of no help. I never did receive that water and drinks that I had requested for my room. However, my friends' butler was amazing, so I'm not dissing the butler service (just the ones I had assigned to my room). Some of the rooms had a strong musty smell, mine was not musty at all; it's a 2 hour bus ride from the airport. All that being said, the price was right. I would go again but forgo the premium package.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Great staff!

The hotel had great friendly service! I was very impressed with Ramon and Williams the butlers assigned to premium class visitors.. They were very attentive and made the trip significantly better.. I cant thank the staff enough for providing such great value for budget.

Grand Memories Varadero: Dated , Completed in 2010 , somewhat run down , needs updating .

Towels was a BIG problem , We had family there and 3 teens shared a room with only 2 towels , they never changed the towels all week despite constant complaints for more . Food was plentiful but was always just warm not hot . Weather was perfect all week ,along with the beautiful beaches . Seeing so many classic cars was wonderful but outside the resort poverty was prevalent . Didn't see any entertainment other than something going on in the lounge area each night . I never saw anybody cl [... read more]eaning the pools or around the pool area as it appeared most people smoked , butts were everywhere . You get what you pay for in Cuba , as long as your expectations are low , you could enjoy it .

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Good value

Sanctuary Grand Memories Varadero is a very clean and well maintained facility. Staff very friendly, all services were adequately provided. It was very safe. Pathway lighting could be improved, as it can be difficult to reference your location after sun goes Dow. Signage is very limited and really does help navigate your way around. Overall all I would rate this resort as a sold 8/10 …..would return in the future.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Loved this resort!

This place was absolutely beautiful. The staff we amazing. The grounds were emaculate and so well kept. The food was normal for Cuba. We never went hungry. The rooms were clean. The hotel was a perfect size so you didn't have to do an abundance of walking. Some shells on the beach when walking into the water. Bring water shoes if it's a bother to you. They can't exchange change (loonies and twoonies). Don't bring it. Use $5, $10 and any amount of your choice for Tipping in Canadian. However, if  [... read more]you want to tip smaller amounts, bring $1 American bills. Staff kept asking me to purchase their change because they can't use it. So it's a waste of money for them, and a waste to you. Pool bar had pizza, sandwiches, and fries.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great while awake , no chance of sleep …

The entertainment staff was absolutely amazing , the energy there is also great . The problems I had was my room had no air conditioning and was impossible to sleep in. I went to ask for someone to fix it and they couldn’t and their resolution was for me to relocate to another resort next door. Food was good and a good selection. Beach is amazing and a nice pool. Again I got unlucky with my room but the lack of problem solving is the main issue .

Cuba is alive and well, the people, food, beautiful beaches. We met so many wonderful people during our stay, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. A pleasure to meet. I had a fantastic week away, would recommend this resort 100%

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Decent Resort

Overall the resort was clean, the staff friendly, enjoyed the Sanctuary area. Did find it difficult to connect with butler. Found the resort could do much better about communication regarding events, shows etc. Food was typical of urban resorts.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: We had a great Vacay

We had a great vacation, beginning with our flight being comfy and on time. Snacks offered on board Sunwing were good although there is a limited in selection. Memories Flamenco in Cayo Coco is my new go to. Staff is incredible, food was tasty, plentiful and great selections in the buffet. Pizza at Bites was amazing. Can't beet the Ron Punch! Pool was stunning and always clean, beach ... Spectacular!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Another fantastic trip

Everything was amazing this time around. Had a great junior oceanview view room on first floor in building one. Communication with the resort was flawless. All our needs were met. Great atmosphere. Nightly entertainment with theatre and saxophone player. If you want the disco there is cave club on sat (15 min bus ride) and Wednesdays, or u can go to disco close by, 2 mins by bus. Beach is gorgeous with plenty of shade and lounge chairs. Cuba has shortages so don't expect luxury in terms  [... read more]of bed linens, food or drinks but we were just fine, plenty of options. Your fridge will only be stocked if u upgrade to premium. I bought wine from duty free to keep in my room. They do provide water everyday in your room. Definitely going back. Price is great for what u get. The ambassador dinner and Hemmingway was so nice, thanks for the invite Santa. Please understand and respect what the Cuban people are going through with shortages. Do your research and go with a positive attitude. Thank you Flamenco for an amazing trip.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Best bang for your dollar

We arrived home last week from a week stay at Sanctuary at grand memories Holguin, this was our 9th trip to to Cuba and probably our most enjoyable. The Hotel although very large and required a lot of walking, was excellent. The grounds were beautiful and well cared for The rooms were cleaner than any we have stayed in and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. We purchase the premium package which gav [... read more]e us an extra al la cart as well as our own dining area.We also had access to two butlers Carlos and Eddy who were very helpful in booking our dinners and looking after our needs. Although the bus ride is a bit long approximately 1hr 45 minutes it is worth it as you get to see some of the real Cuba. I would recommend that if you travel to Cuba, leave your loonies and toonies at home and go to the bank and get some American 1s an̈d 5s for Tips as there banks will not take coins or ripped bills. If you don't mind doing a little walking and you want a first class Hotel, I would certainly recommend the Sanctuary

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: ENJOYABLE RESORT

I must say that I was very pleased with "Memories Caribe Beach Resort". especially the food...yes the food. Best we've had during our many visits to Cuba! Always something to choose from, one day they even had Turkey...WOW. The "snack bar" had a great variety of sandwiches and fries too! Drink choices...the lobby bar made the best Pina-Coladas and Spanish coffee! At the beach, great pizza freshly made, not everyday however grab it when you can! They are very clean however air conditioning unit isn't good for sure. It works OK, could use maintenance for cleaning etc. Had a issue with hot water the week we were there, only in the shower. The staff tried there best and were very prompt to react to any concerns we had however they were working on plumbing on the whole resort so during this week some had hot water and some not. Entertainment: always something going on either in the theatre, around the pool, in the snack bar and buffet . Love music however would recommend perhaps when the music is playing around the pool that the snack bar turn theirs off! Spanish lessons, dance class, dancing....certainly can keep busy if you want for sure! the people, WONDERFUL...friendly...aim to please!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: For Cuba the food was the best I ever had.

For the most part, the resort was fantastic. A little dated but overall had no issues whatsoever. The food was excellent. Safe always amazing. Local Musicians entertain the guest every nite at the bar, and sometimes even at lunch time. The beach 5 *. Never ran out of toilet paper, ketchup a plenty…..for the price paid…can’t asked for better.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Beautiful resort

This is my third time to this resort and still haven’t been disappointed! Rooms are always clean , staff is friendly and amazing. The beach is stunning! No shortage of food at this resort, if you can’t find something to eat at one buffet go to the next one!!!! I highly recommend Santuary Grande Memories!!!!!!

Memories Jibacoa: We Loved It

The resort is older but clean The resort is also small so the distance to the beach or main lobby is not far. This resort is for those who want a quiet relaxing vacation.No loud music on the beach or pool. We also liked the fact that the lounge chairs were on the beach rather than having guys set up chairs for you every morning. Snorkelling was amazing right off the beach.They also had tennis and pickle ball. Food was very good with a large variety including chicken and beef. Never a shortage of [... read more] eggs. Bar was well stocked. Our only complaint was no stationary bike in the gym and the guys who took care of the catamaran always had an excuse why they could not take you out. Would definitely recomend this resort.

Très bel hôtel, propre, lit confortable, toujours un excellent service à Cuba. Veuillez vous attendre à faire 1h45 de bus pour se rendre à l’hôtel, c’est le seul bémol, je dirais que c’est le beau resort où je suis allée à Cuba.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Older, Tired resort

This facility is tired. Older buildings, broken walkways, painted walls look old and tired. Staff maintenance on the lawns and gardens were taken care of every day we were there. They look great. Staff are super friendly, always smiling and helpful. The variety of food in the buffet was sufficient. The chefs cooking food on the grills were excellent! And tasty too. Those folks deserve a raise!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Beach

Loved the food here at Memories Caribe. I did feel that it was lacking things for being advertised as a 4 star. The workers here were top notch and went out of their way to help you. There is only so much you can do with a tired old resort. I would not return to this resort because 98% of the people were eaten alive by bugs. I was warned but unfortunately trip was already booked. I have never been bitten like this before in my life.. some things are not available or just not offered. Like certain premium drinks were only on offered with Diamond Club. That's a monopoly by Sunwing. As I said I would go back to other resorts all over Cuba before this one. Beach was amazing, sandbars were huge. I never set foot in the pool as I prefer the beach. And because the music is too loud at the pool.
