Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: royalton chic - disappointed

first room we checked into was old, fridge full of rust, room was run down. We asked a room change and got a newer, updated room. Next, the resort was not cleaned or maintained as it should be. Garbage floating in pool, staff not caring as much as they should overall. Food was OK. Our return flight was delayed so we got transferred to the Dreams CapCana for 2 nights and it was a beautiful resort- newer, very clean, big spacious rooms and huge buffet. I should of stayed here.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: 2nd time here!

We vacationed here in Feb 2023 and decided to do it again less kids.It was up to par again! The food is above average and i would insist on getting diamond club inclusive pool,bars and private beach.The rooms are very nice with ample size even the luxury jr we stayed in is more than enough for 2.We loved Tevin our bartender by the main lobby he got us drinks with the upgraded alcohol.This is the trick here at this resort(like many) you have to ASK for the upgraded alcohol or they give you generi [... read more]c.Note the bus ride from MO-Bay(Airport) is LONG...i suggest earlier flights to MO-Bay if your heading to Negril. Entertainment is varied, the Silent Disco and Michael Jackson Show are the two best imho.Ricks Cafe is a must if your doing an excursion i suggest taking cab ..the boat ride over sux getting in and out of there is BS...cab is WAY better. he will drop u off and pick up whenever u like we stayed 2 hrs. on 7 Mile Beach then he picked us up to go to Ricks for 2 hrs...it is quite pricy for drinks and food but hey it is what it is. The resort does ask you to do the loyalty program interview (basically time share) and they are persistent.We went to help out the employee and we ended up getting a beach dinner and spa for it! just say NO to the loyalty program its a waste of 2 hrs unless u want the spa and dinner lol. Tipping is a good idea but dont go overboard we tipped our cleaning lady everyday and our servers just give a little and u get alot! The Jamaican people are always nice and friendly and i would most definitely come back all Royaltons we went to are very nice from staff to the beach! No vendor problems and they are not pushy at all. We come back to Jamaica every yr the weather is always on par and what else do you really need its all here.The people the food the beaches,Reggae vibes,its just so chill no problem man! I suggest leaving on Tues/Wed if you can no lineups thru customs quite a breeze.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Best Family Vacation!!!!

This resort far exceeded our expectations!!! We were a group of 8 ranging in age from 8-68 and the resort had something for everyone! The resort was gorgeous, well maintained, had tons of activities and the food was awesome! The buffet had almost every food imaginable. We definitely did not go hungry! Some reviewers have complained about the resort being outdated. There are some areas that are currently under renovation (Feb 2025) but it did not impact our stay at all. It’s NOT 90 minutes and unless you are interested in a membership program, don’t waste your time like we did. A special shout out to Erick who helped make our stay so enjoyable. The sea turtle and cenote tour we booked through the resort was also incredible. Overall, we LOVED this resort and would highly recommend it. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Disappointing for 5 star luxury

Very disappointed in this luxury resort. I will NEVER stay at a Royalton Resort agin! Food was below average and limited. Steak restaurant had no steak! Non alcoholic beverages not provided. Service in all areas tardy or ignored. Resort service workers went on strike 2nd day we were there, no compensation offered. Room cleaned on 3rd and 5th day, fridge stocked 1x in 7 days. Horrible experience, I wished I went to Aruba

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Great Resort

I was pleasantly surprised by our stay at this resort. The grounds were beautifully maintained and clean including the beach which was raked every morning with a tractor. The rooms were comfortable and clean.The service was amazing, from the cooks at the buffet to the servers in the restaurants to the bartenders and waitresses, all were pleasant, polite and truly made our stay fantastic. The food was also very good, a good selection at the buffet everyday from breakfast to supper. We ate at 4  [... read more]a la carte restaurants and all were great, with our favourite being the Italian followed by the Indian. The entertainment in the lobby every night was also good and our gang had fun dancing and watching the performances. If anything could be improved, I would suggest more beach chairs at the beach they were sometimes hard to find because people get up at the crack of dawn and reserve them with their towels. We were an older group of travellers whose ages were 50-late 60’s and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: resort needs alot of TLC

almost impossible to get reservations in the a la carte restaurants,,,not enough chairs on the beach,,, staff very friendly but everyone has their had out for a tip ,, trying to charge people that have already paid alot of money to travel there a surcharge to watch the superbowl in the hotel lobby (240 american) is robbery

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Fabulous resort!

We spent a week here with a group of 10 from Feb 3-10. We were very impressed by how accommodating the staff was to larger groups. We were always able to be seated together for meals in the buffet, and able to book meals together at the specialty restaurants. The Zen restaurant was by far my fav! Great entertainment, and delicious food! We had no trouble finding beach/pool chairs even when we showed up later to the beach or pool. The only downfalls for me were the high winds & rough waters at the beach. However, it was not bad enough to detur me from enjoying the beach. We will definitely be back!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Nice resort

Landscape and lobby were nice, gym was just what we needed, lots of classes and activities to keep people busy, beach was nice, buffet and restaurants were good, but the individual rooms were needing some big time love. You can't put a pink light under the bed and ignore paint on the floors, messy paint jobs, drain covers missing, hair on the floor, dirty walls, etc. Wouldn't take much to make it great without having to pay for a swim out or diamond club. Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Treated like royalty at Royalton Riviera

Loved this resort. Huge property, beautifully manicured grounds. Fabulous buffet and lots of a la carte options too. Several pools to choose from and nice beach for walking. Entertainment team were lively and engaging. We were upgraded to a presidential suite in building 5 - so very nice. No complaints.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Was OK ..

Not as good as in the past. Beach was beautiful as it always is. Staff were great. But the food was terrible. Worst I’ve ever had in Cuba and have been going for well over 35 years . Rooms I was given both had significant issues.. Was moved several times. Not what I had hope for but made the best of it . Nice to relax in the warmth and escape winter.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Noisy & Disappointing!

First the pluses: Very clean, well maintained and friendly staff. Knowing that this was a family resort, we expected lots of kids and their noise. However this was not the issue. The way the hotel was constructed, all the floors on the sides of the hotel were open all the way down to the lobby, with the noise carrying to every floor. The lobby was open and very breezy, with limited seating. The Diamond Club appeared to be flaunted, with their amenities & private pools, while there was only one p [... read more]ool for the rest of us. None Diamond Club people had balconies with no privacy & cheap uncomfortable chairs. At each end of the pool (not including the kids area) and the middle, there was music playing constantly. In the afternoon, a huge speaker was brought out and we were subjected to even louder music (which would have been pleasant had it not been booming). Acoustics were very poor throughout - the lobby, the theatre and even Rio Restaurant which had excellent food and service but was noisy with only 3 tables of people. The food in general was disappointing. No fresh pasta or stir fry at the buffet. The food at Grazi, the Italian restaurant was particularly bad. None of the four of us, who each ordered different meals, could eat much of it. Guest Services left my bag unattended & visible when they promised someone would be there to look after it. There is no door on the bathroom! Separate shower and toilet but no privacy to dress etc. plus it was cold stepping out of the shower. Signage on the resort indicated that it was 100% non smoking, yet there were several smoking sections we had to pass through.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Very nice resort

We enjoyed our stay at the Royalton Diamond Club. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The beach was fantastic; Deep Bay was great for swimming. Entertainment in the evenings was enjoyable. Overall, we would return.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: We had a great time

We stayed at the Royalton Rivera cancun. We had great time. Food with good, room was clean and spacious. Loved how it was geared to the younger kids. We would book an early supper and then they would go to the kids dance parties. Only thing I found strange was we would have trouble getting napkins and spoons when eating in the buffet for breakfasts. Overall my girls and hubby and I had a great time!

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

We stayed at the hideaway section. Beautiful pool and lots of activities. Evening shows were very good. Lots of fun. Buffet food was excellent Steak house was very good. Beautiful spa Coffee shop on main level is excellent. Beach is nice but a bit windy when we were there.,but the water is warm.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: We did not stay at the Hideaway section

The resort is absolutely beautiful. Lots of activities, food is fantastic. The reservation aspect of this resort is where it needs the absolute most attention. I believe they need to learn how scheduling and bookings work. We went with a small group and asked to have our rooms in the same building. Our travel agent cross referenced our booking number and I personally called 2 weeks prior to our travel date to confirm this arrangement. I was assured this was no issue and they had the notes i [... read more]n our reservation. When we got there to book in, we were all assigned to very different buildings. I recommend going on the app and purchase your rooms. Stay out of building 6. The reservation desk were very annoyed when we asked to have a different room. Have your credit card handy because they want a $200.00 deposit. You will get it back on check out, but there are some people who are very uncomfortable with that. That's the negative IMO. Now the rest of the resort is AMAZING! The food is great, the beach is perfect, room service was wonderful, pool was clean, rooms are spacious and lots of activities. I definitely recommend this resort. You won't be disappointed.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Best trip ever !

We were there as a group of 10 people from Jan 26 - Feb 2. The Weather, beaches, food, service, staff, entertainment & rooms were all fantastic. I didn't see any bugs anywhere, including mosquitos, sand fleas etc. I would recommend anyone to go there & consider this a 5 star & was probably our best trip ever !. We were not bombarded on the beach from vendors. If anything, we had to go looking on the beach to purchase souvenirs. We would sometimes order breakfast evening before & they called 5 - 10 minutes in the morning before they brought it. We didn't have any complaints. We would go back there in a heartbeat !

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Friendly, efficient and well kept property!

Would love to come back. Happy with the food, very happy with the friendly staff and service. Loved the beaches. Grenada is a delightful island with warm, friendly and proud people. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Wonderful beach

The check in was quick and easy, we did not get the room we booked in building 3/ ocean view due to lack of inventory. But we were upgraded to a family suite with some ocean view . The food at the resort is good but not outstanding, very boring sometimes since you have same dishes again and again.. especially for lunch. The service is good , ala cart restaurant are ok nothing out of the blue. I have to mention few people that were outstanding with their service, Latouya, Shandol from Grazie!!! [... read more] And Tevin at the bar on the main lobby they are at a different level. At the front desk I will mention Damian the supervisor, great to deal with. The resort appeared to be tired and needs some updating. The rooms, facilities, stairs..ect. One of the managers Fred, needs some courses of how to deal with issues ! He noticed us dining for breakfast at Grazie and came to the table to lecture us that we're doing wrong by having breakfast there, since we are not a Diamond club! And it's for Diamond only! He stopped us from dining and kept going on and on! As guests we didn't know that! And we expected a bit more respect.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort!!

Had the most amazing time at the Royalton bavaro resort and hotel! The grounds were absolutely beautiful, food was great, staff were all so amazing and friendly and the rooms were very nice, they had some miner issues and could use a little TLC but nothing serious. Overall, we had the most amazing time at a beautiful place!

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Meh

Clean resort, nice grounds, great water park, lots of entertainment. Food sub par and guest services/amenities were over promised and under delivered. They say they have cribs (and they do) but they can’t guarantee them. Our stroller was damaged by the airline and we needed to rent a stroller. Guest services gave ZERO information on rental options and did not have any insight to support us. Since it was last minute I couldn’t find any rentals online and I couldn’t get one delivered from wal mart [... read more]. My in-laws were diamond club and had a butler. They asked the butler for help and the butler literally arranged with their external pharmacy right away for us to have a rental stroller and it was delivered within the hour. This type of perk should NOT be reserved for diamond club in my opinion. This was a total turn off.
