Nice resort, service not up to par

This was a very nice resort, great pools, lots of bars and restaurants. The rooms were great, everything about it was perfect except for the service. The staff there were not very friendly and the service overall was poor. It was consistently poor in every bar and restaurant, though there were a couple that seemed to care less than others. It was felt by many people I spoke to and on several occasions I wondered if I was actually invisible as bar staff literally ignored people waiting at the [... read more] bar while they chose to fuss around wiping down counters etc. At times it was laughable, but actually very annoying.

Stunning Resort!

We stayed 2 weeks at this beautiful modern resort. Had our wedding on Valentine's Day along with 12 of our family members in attendance. The wedding turned out perfect for us with no complaints. Everyone had a wonderful time at the resort. The food was beyond our expectations! Thanks to Kassandra and the rest of the entertainment team for doing an amazing job every day, always energetic and fun! The bartenders and staff were very friendly and attentive. Beautiful resort!

Resort absolutely beautiful. Friendly staff. The rooms were very spacious and modern. The resort was very clean. Resort upgraded us to a swim out room at the Eden and we were extremely happy. Food very delicious. Loved that the a la cartes dress code for men was casual and relaxed. Plenty of a la cartes and no reservations required. Very safe environment. Nightly entertainment was awesome. Lots of activities and no need to leave the resort. The only downfall was the house wine and the Mexica [... read more]n a la carte. Overall this resort we would highly recommend! And we will be returning in the future.

OK Resort

The Hotel was clean. Rooms spacious and clean. Beds comfortable. Beach was awful, and too dangerous for kids. They need more service staff. Service was lacking as the ones working there weren't able to keep up. kids shows are non existent. entertainment didn't start until 9:30pm so if you have kids, you're out of luck. wouldn't call it a family resort. They need to put some thought into entertaining kids. The Privilege club is a joke, don't waste your money. The time share sales people are push [... read more]y and annoying and they follow you everywhere. Food was good, but desserts were awful. Mostly cookies or tasteless desserts. Nice coffee shop and kids loved the icecream shop.

Wonderful resort

Wonderful resort, best food we have had yet, multiple pools to find what you are looking for, staff is excellent. Could always find a seat at any of the pools or the beach. There are timeshare people every morning outside the buffet and in the lobby, but if you tell them you are leaving that day they will leave you alone.

First impression's count. Samuel Flores Gonzales at reception was excellent - efficient and very personable.. The buffet restaurant Amaranto for really good. Excellent food selection. The captain of the buffet Ricardo Valdes is so nice,helpful,professional and on the ball.It was really a pleasure to relate to him on all levels. Manuel Mtz and Hilario work very hard also to make your stay enjoyabledeee. We really enjoyed the Steak House and Italian. Notables- Executive Chef Alan truly in command of the hotel. It was funny seeing him riding his bike away from beach restaurant. The beach restaurant has the best pizza. Chef Alan and sous chef Ricardo and their team put on a super bowl extravaganza. We will be revisiting this hotel.

Very nice and pretty resort

The resort was very clean, friendly and food was good. The front desk needs to learn how to accommodate their just more. Easy to get around. Very picturestique. The pools were very good and entertainment was excellent

Amazing resort!

Well kept grounds, staff speak good English, very courteous. Nicest resort Ive ever been to. Food was great, entertainment excellent. Resort not too big, not too small. Rooms were outstanding, I had the best sleeps ever on that bed. Beach was lovely, hard to get a spot under grassy roofed umbrellas. Always lots of chairs at pools but have to get to beach to get good spot.

Great hotel

I was pleased with every aspect of this resort. The room was nice, comfortable and clean. The food was amazing. The staff was great to deal with. The beach was nice but during our stay, the water was rough almost every day. It did not hinder our vacation in any way. The weather could have been better (hotter and less rain) but we cannot control mother nature.

Nice hotel very clean room the foods was good ,we enjoy the staff especialy Omar at the Daisy junior suites bar always had a smile to serve us ,also the lady at the ice cream bar always look happy serving ice cream to the peoples.We enjoyed the monkeys on the site .

Theo place is amazing we had a great time food was great and people very friendly There was a show every night for the whole family all the restaurants had great choices also We only had one issue with one person when we had to do the check out he made us paid for staying a few extra hours until we wait for our transportation to arrived and we were never offered any other solution so if you go and Rigoberto Aguilar is trying to help you wait for the next available one Other than that’s [... read more] great place to stay

Amazing time at Ocean Riviera Paradise -Privilege

Resort was wonderful! Privilege was worth every penny. Our butler,Ariz, took amazing care of us. We highly recommend the resort and the upgrade to privilege. Beautiful beach, beautiful resort and awesome service.

Great Resort!!

Beautiful brand new resort with lots to do for everyone! Food was amazing and there were tonnes of options... Seems like a really great resort for families as well since there are lots for kids and adults to do. Wasn't a big fan of always trying to up sell on better liquor or wine at the restaurants, but I suppose that is how they make more money. I also thought that the spa was overpriced for what it is (the massages on the beach were much better). I had a great time.

I love this resort. The staffs were friendly, the room was big and clean. Food was good, we got to eat at a-la-carte restaurants every night. The food at the Daisy snack bar was excellent. My kids loved it. They enjoyed eating while swimming very much. The shows were good too. I loved the bowling. This is absolutely a 5-star resort. The only thing that I did not like about the resort was the beach. Beautiful clean Resort

Loved our stay, would recomend the staff was friendly and we had no issues there, some minor things that weren't working but was fixed beautiful Resort very clean nice , great food, Beach was okay, nice pools, Lobby was spectacular

Great Vacation!

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at Ocean Riviera Paradise! The grounds were beautiful; very well kept; and clean. Staff was super friendly and engaging. We really enjoyed the food; especially our meals at Steakhouse and Blue Moon. We would love to return and will be recommending this resort to our friends and family.

Amazing Resort

Great resort , great people , great shows, no complaints. Only thing alot of the workers don’t speak English at all. The beach is really nice but the people don’t stop harassing you for massages on the beach. They ask you over 100 x same person. Also the water in the beach there’s a lot of rocks. . Otherwise fantastic.

Nice, clean, resort

Hotel was nice, beds were comfortable, food was tasty, entertainment was fun. The only negatives, front desk and about 90% of bartenders, servers, seems to lack the value of customer service. The fact that housekeeping and hotel maintenance, such as floor tiles needing to be chiseled out, starts 8:30 am. So, we came, we saw, but will not be back again to this resort.

Great holiday!

I have been to playa del carmen numerous times and this was my first time at this resort. It was fantastic. Plenty of loungers by the beach and a great piano bar with a variety of different musical artists each night. Resort was clean and enjoyed the adult only pool in the el beso section.
