Melia Puerto Vallarta: Great Vacation!

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful! Could use an adult pool. A very family friendly resort so definitely could use a 2nd pool! Need a couple of better a la carte restaurants.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Worst Resort we have ever stayed in!

No where near a 4* - hotel old and in need if complete refurbishment, Food was not very good - same dishes every day, primarily Mexican fare with little variety I've never been to a breakfast buffet where you cannot even get bacon. Drinks very little to offer and ran out of something or other every day. No mojito, one day no tonic for a gin and tonic the next, and so it went on. Not enough chairs around the pool, beach not cleaned up

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Amazing Resort

Milea is a amazing resort. So much variety in food. La carte palapa and Mexican restaurants were vey good international and national drinks are available and soft drinks too. Most of all people were so nice and always keep you happy. Location is very very good so close to marina and airport.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Amazing

Great staff, food, drinks and very clean. Views are stunning. Could use more lounge chairs and definitely more hand sanitizers outside elevators and throughout resort. Is there a discount for repeat guests?

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Very nice

The resort is relatively small which we liked. The pool is large and the beach is nice too. It does get very busy at the pool (obviously) and sometimes there is not enough chairs to go round. I would have liked a separate adults only section as there were a lot of children there and the pool was large enough to have separate areas. The rooms are spacious with balcony and the bathroom is also very large. The shower was powerful and shampoo, condition and shower gel are provided. My favourite  [... read more]part is the towels are a proper size, a good size bath sheet not one of the silly towels you get usually in a hotel which barely fits round me! So that alone is worth 5 stars! The staff are all super nice and friendly. Aqua aerobics in the pool with Sergio and Charlie every day was great fun. And Juan doing the beach drinks was very sweet. The food was very inconsistent but there was plenty of it, so you won’t go hungry. Coffee is nice and juices and a good selection of baked goods. Nightly entertainment was good, we went to a great magic show. The resort was quiet from about 11pm which suited us.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Relaxing but….

Very friendly staff slightly makes up for poor supervision and management. Wine list changed but no list or knowledge of what was available. Speciality restaurants were inconsistent and made the decision to go off site on our last night an easy one. Great beach but not enough loungers for everyone.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Lovely resort not a great experience

The hotel grounds was amazing. Truly we could not imagine a more amazing decore and atmosphere. Our concierge service was awful. We heard some people had good experiences with their concierge. We really did not. We would have rather had our own control. He would not share with us our details of all of our dinner reservations in a summary, we had to ask him each morning and we would get attitude from him like we were annoying him. The first room we were put in was not the level that we booked. [... read more] The resort did make up for this by giving us a free upgrade when we went to talk to them about it. However we were told we would be moving rooms at 2 on the Tuesday. My wife and I waited 2 hours until we decided to go to the pool as we were waisting our day waiting around. Finally at 530 they were ready to move us. We moved into the new room which was beautiful until the roof started leaking. We had to use our wine bucket and ice bucket to catch the water and lay out towels. It took 2 days for the resort to fix this after we brought it to their attention. I will say we had some really amazing wait staff and bartenders. They were alot of fun and truly amazing at what they do. They made our experience great overall. We may have just had an overall unlucky experience. The resort showed alot of promise and like I said earlier the resort itslef was amazing. I would recommend to a friend but with a warning of some of the things we had. We would consider giving it another chance for sure but we would alos be very open to trying somewhere else next.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Great stay at Melia Caribe

Spent a great week mid November. Had a family room beachside - renovated, clean, spacious - plenty of towels and amenities provided each day. Resort is big but covered in luscious greenery and ponds and we did not mind the walking. We spent most of our time at the beach - beautiful white sand, never had an issue finding spot we liked. There was a bit of sea weed during our stay (weather related) but was cleaned every day. Each dinner had something we liked a lot and something a bit less. Least favorite was the Mexican, which is mostly buffet and we found the plated meal uninspiring. Best was Casa Nostra and Spanish. Overall quality of food was good, which aligned with our expectations (did not go there for gourmet food). Service - amazing! Every member of staff we encountered was helpful and smiling. Overall - this is a big and beautiful resort with many different food options and welcoming staff.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Disappointing

There were a lot of small issues that show this resort needs some repairs, my disappointment came from Air Canada vacations. Our flight was Tuesday and was delayed about 3 hours prior to pick up, then again about 2 hours prior to pick up. Approx one hour prior to pick up we received an email to say the flight was cancelled. The rep made some inquiries for us and we were picked up at the scheduled time and delivered to the airport. We waited in line for about 3 hours at the airport for anoth [... read more]er air Canada vacations rep. She gave each of us a voucher for the Beuventura Grand for the night and shuttled there. We were picked up again the next morning at 09:30 for delivery back to the airport. We were then put on a flight to Toronto (our destination was Calgary and was originally direct) we flew to Toronto then on another flight back to Calgary. Needless to say, it was an exhausting couple of days with no explanation whatsoever about what was happening.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Vacation at Melia Punta Cana - The Level - Oct 30 - Nov 6, 2022

Upon arriving at the resort we were warmly greeted by the staff, and were assigned a concierge, Joel Perez, who was very personable, attentive and helpful in making dinner/spa reservations and answering all our questions. He checked in with us several times each day to ensure we were well taken care of. The resort itself is gorgeous, super clean, and all the staff encountered during the day were all very helpful and polite. All the buffets carried pretty much the same ordinary food and we were expecting a little more variety and better quality. We had one unedible dinner at one of the restaurants. We were disappointed that there were no seafood selections (except for a few shrimp in some dishes we ordered), and the fruit selection was not the best. Cooks don't seem like they are formally trained, except maybe the head chef at the Quimera restaurant.....he knows how to grill a perfect steak. The emphasis at this resort is on the quality of service and cleanliness, but the selection of meals leave a lot to be desired.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Friendly Staff

Hotel was in a very nice and safe area especially for walking to the marina watching the boats come and go including the cruise ships. The 2 specialty restaurants were good, but the buffet had a very repetitive menu. Beach area was small and had several people selling their wares. Room was clean and the service was very good. Everything about this resort was amazing!! The grounds, the food, the service was all excellent! Spend a little extra and get the level experience it was well worth the little extra$ Will return to Melia for sure

Overall, a nice hotel. Much larger grounds than we anticipated. Room was nice, clean: great service. Pool and beach were nice. Staff very friendly. A la cartes were decent. Buffet was small and very repetitive.

The resort is well maintained on a daily basis. The grounds are well manicured and kept very clean. The rooms are cleaned and serviced daily. The beachside Level suite we had was in close proximity to the beach and good restaurants. The food was well presented in the buffet restaurants with good variety of fruits. The bookings for the specialty restaurants was extremely well handled by our personal concierge. There were plenary of beach loungers, cabanas and Bali beds. Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Great time at Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort!

My daughter and l just got back from Melia resort (Sept. 30 - Oct. 7/22)....all l can say is this resort is absolutely beautiful! Staff is very polite, no issues checking in or out. The main areas are kept very clean. The staff is constantly spraying down table surfaces and removing used plates and glasses in the dining area very quickly. We didn't have any concerns about cleanliness. Antibacterial sprays are located throughout the resort. This resort promotes wellness by having [... read more] many area's around the resort where one can sit privately and meditate or lay in a hammock or sit in a cocoon swing chair. We didn't go to the spa but we spoke to a couple of people who did and they really enjoyed it. Food was plenty. I'm pescatarian and my daughter is a meat lover. We had no issues at all. Many vegetarian and vegan options and definitely a haven for meat lovers. We had a deluxe room by the main lobby. Our room was spotless. No issue with water temperature at all. Plenty of towels everyday. Bar fridge was stocked daily with water, soda and beer. They have a "train" that comes frequently that takes you to the pool/beach area or back to the main lobby where the evening entertainment is held and the restaurants are closely located. We walked both ways a few times and it really didn't take long. Overall we had a great vacation and would definitely recommend this resort! Hoping to go back soon! P.S. Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Amazing Resort!

Great Resort this was our 2nd time going to this place. Food and Service was excellent loads of activities for kids and adults alike . Beach wasnt so great as they are having a seaweed issue . Rooms are well maintained and service is next level.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing!!!

Resort was amazing, lots of greenery. Perfect for kids with the splash island. Good food choices. Just very slow check in and check-out. Staff would follow-up if your request was delivered to your room. Nice pool but have to be early in order to get a good spot for the shady lounge chairs.

We left on the 20 July for 10 days We opted for a swim out reserve Which was amazing especially when you want to relax and not be in a crowd or to lazy to go out the room wich was very clean but a bit damp a lot of humidity very good service as well for the food It was lacking the breakfast buffet and lunch was good a lot of choice on the reserve side but we had to reserve for restaurant witch was limited so we didn’t Like that because we paid prime dollars to have accès to other r [... read more]estaurants witch were not included in a normal package because They have the reserve for adults only That’s what we had we always travel and book on a resort for adults only we see the difference when a hotel cater for family and adults not the same standards and we book for 10 days so if I would recommend it yes but if you usually go for adults only They are a lot of good choice to choose From so I would give it 7.5 for food A 10 on cleanest a 9 on service Hope it will help you to choice the perfect place for your vacation

Sol Torremolinos Don Pablo: Good resort

One of the negatives was access to water when the waiter at the bar would not give me a drink of water from the tab... He finally budged when I insisted and I ask to speak to the manager... Also some smell of cooked food in the room although we were on the 8th floor... Last point is the access to long chair on the pool... everybody put their towels to reserve them although against the rules of the hotel...
