Royalton Hideaway Negril: Overall really good!

We really liked the resort. A lot of walking and spent more time at the spa side so spent a lot of time with kids, The Hideaway is really nice but needs some stuff to make it worth time just being there, the beach is man made and rocky so you have to go to the sister resort to enjoy but it is very nice. Not enough cabanas or umbrellas on adult side, Ocean point restaurant is worth it on Hideaway side though.

Sunscape Cove: The cove is a wonderful resort

The grounds are well maintained. With staying at the cove you have rights to the splash. Omar was a very good waiter in the cove restaurant. You have rights to 6 restaurants but mainly 5 the seafood one is rarely open. The beach is nice but found 7 mile beach better. When we were there it was noisy as the owner is expanding on his property so he put up a tin fence to separate the New resort going up next door. The cove was spotless. Room service was good except not too much menu choice but your  [... read more]first night in very satisfying. Fridges well stocked and if you need more of one beverage over another they will change. When I first looked in the gift shop there were no prices on anything. So I let air transit rep know by the time I was ready to buy everything in the gift shop had a price on it. The workers always smile and are so polite. The only thing I didn’t care for is when you met with someone at the hotel they give you an offer of a free breakfast at one of their other resorts for free. Then they carry on asking you questions. Then the lady will say we will offer you a 3 day2night stay for a $160.00 Then they will say I like you so much I will give you $100.00 gift certificate for our give shop. Us being Nieve signed up for breakfast. Then she said be here 8:30 and don’t forget your credit card. We should have caught on then but we were tired. When we were relaxing some people were telling us about it and this meeting is 90 minutes to deal with timeshares. So we cancelled our breakfast not interested in timeshares. They were very upset with us at that point. It was bad enough when we landed and we got to the resort and had to wait 3 hours for our room. Otherwise the people at the cove are awesome I would go back there but only to the cove. But that’s just me.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice and friendly resort

The people are really nice and friendly, big variety of food, clean and spacious rooms. The resort needs some minor renovations though, like updating bathrooms and changing carpets in the corridors. Also we asked for several things and some of our requests were never fulfilled...

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Great hotel

Stayed here before. This time in a swim up pool. Wouldn’t stay there again prefer the ocean view suites. Great food and great staff. Butler service was not helpful this time. We will be back . It is close to the airport , has a great beach and the staff are active and keep the place vibrant.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Amazing resort

Honestly a fantastic vacay. We were 2 couples in our 50’s who are young at heart. We came down to escape the cold, long Canadian winter. We were all very happy with the resort. We all had only 1 complaint. That is the lack of an outside bar in the evenings. When escaping the northern winter the last thing we want to do is sit inside. The only place to go outside in the evenings was off the piano bar, which is too small with nothing going on. Also, kudos to Shaun B on the beach. She was an abso [... read more]lute doll to us and was the absolute best ambassador for the resort. She could not have treated us any better.

Jewel Paradise Cove: Great stay

My husband and I stayed from Feb 19 to 26 in room 637 and had one of the best trips ever. Service,food,staff and accommodations were all excellent. Dining under the stars was amazing. The resort itself was a great size just over 200 rooms spread out over a fairly large area. Beaches and pools were never too crowded and never a wait for a drink. Would return.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: First class resort

This hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. The food was good and all public areas were well kept. There was ample pool area but could have used a few more chairs. This was my second time at this hotel and I would use it again.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Disappointed

All in all, the resort was beautiful. HOWEVER, room 23104, where we stayed was full of mosquitos. We complained 4 times. We were with a party of 7 people. The other two rooms had no mosquitos. The hotel "supposedly" sprayed the room for the mosquitos. We still got them. Finally the last night we were there, they offered to move us rooms. Like really? Last night? I recommend the resort, as long as you don't stay in room 23104. We booked the A la Carte in the Mikado(Japanese) restaurant to have th [... read more]e chef cook right in front of us. They screwed that up as well, and said we didn't book it. Very disappointed for the amount of money it cost us.

Sandals Caribbean Cay: Great time at SRC

Resort was clean, all staff friendly. Pools are small compared to other resorts, beaches are beautiful, well maintained, small as well but we always found a nice spot. Great vacation. Crowd was honeymooners or 70's.

Breathless Montego Bay: Very High Tech, Modern Resort

This Breathless resort is very modern looking and very upscale. It has all of the amenities you would look for in a 5 star hotel. It has only been up and running for just 1 yr. First the room, it has modern upscale styling to it with the latest amenities. The room has power operated drapes and a power operated privacy screen, if you prefer, that covers the three sided glass shower that goes from floor to ceiling with two large rain head shower heads. Hot tub on the balcony. It has an array  [... read more]of modern subdued led lighting some in different colors. The in- room safe and fridge are hidden/blended in behind cabinetry that flows in the room. The only issue is the in room safe is just off of the floor which makes it a bit difficult to get at the things at the rear of the safe.You may have to get on your hands and knees to reach them. There is free wifi throughout the resort with a tablet in your room for your use. A 65 inch TV is in the room as well. The beds are comfortable with which appears to have hybrid mattresses. The views are very nice. We stayed on the 4th floor of the 5 floor hotel. There is a 6th floor, (Roof) which has a bar, pool, hot tub and restaurant on it. The best views can be had from the 5 th floor which is for exhale club members and the 4th floor as well as some 3rd floor rooms. The first and second floor rooms are considered tropical views although all rooms face the pools and waterfront. The Breathless resort only has 150 rooms, which is a nice size. There are several pools. There is the main pool which is large and a smaller one between the large band shell structure which is where they have a foam party every day at 3.00-5.00 pm. This one is off limits and only used for the foam party. A hot tub beside the main pool is available. There is also a pool on the roof of the hotel with a hot tub as well as previously mentioned.The pool area is quiet during the daytime until the foam party starts up and then it become loud and the Tech music starts up. Guests from the Secret St James and Wild Orchid can join in the foam party which can get large at times. The restaurants on site are the Cuisine restaurant off the main lobby which is very good, which also has the breakfast buffet. The waiter we had was Mark. He was excellent and was eager to please and very dedicated and experienced. There was also the restaurant on the roof which served East Indian food at supper and Mediterranean food during lunch. Also there is a restaurant off the main pool called Fish Nets which had seafood. One night there is a special dinner there, called Chef's Surprise, that we were invited to at Fish Nets which included a 9 course meal. You don't know what you are going to get to eat. It was great food prepared by the chef. He explains everything during each course. If you are lucky enough to get invited to it, take advantage of the opportunity. Security is high here. You don't get in or out of the resort unless security sees you and asks your room number and where you are going etc. They are at the Skywalk entrance which is a covered bridge/walkway that joins the Breathless resort to the St James property. Security, also is all over the place watching. People at the Secrets locations with the Preferred designation can visit the complex at any time for meals etc., while the basic accommodations from the Secret property have to wait until 9.00 to visit. Breathless guests can access the Secrets property at any time for the beaches or the many restaurants on the Secrets' property. At the end of the St James Secrets Preferred property there is a Hard Rock Cafe for food and party atmosphere, if you choose, at your expense. Once again you have to go through Secrets security. Overall, very nice and very clean property. (They even scrub down the sidewalks every night.) It is about a 15-20 min drive from the airport. Breathless Montego Bay is a real 5 Star property, not a "supposed one". We have been to Breathless in Punta Cana and it doesn't measure up to this one. We have also been to Secrets St James MoBay 4 times as well. These properties in Montego Bay are very good as they are one of the best places we have been. We have been to many, many different properties all around the Caribbean and Mexico etc and this is our favorite one. That's why we have been coming back here this many times.

Riu Ocho Rios: Great Resort

Well worth the 90 minute drive to Ocho Rios. Resort was on a beautiful swimming beach, had great food, drinks, bartenders, servers, housekeeping staff, etc. Comfortable beds, room was big enough. No complaints!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: safe, fun.

The grounds and hotel are very clean. Our room 22515 was very nice and well kept for our week away. Feb 28th March 5th. This hotel is very large, use your map it helps. Book your special dinners right away, they fill up. The pool bars need more choice of drinks. The beach is small. The lunch at the beach is wonderful. This is a very nice hotel, we had a very good week.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Very high class resort.

Room was amazing. Bathroom superb for 2 gals. Patio-huge. Butler/concierge service was spot on with quick turnaround time when you had a request. A la carte restaurants were good, but I would have not have minded the buffet every night unlike other resorts I have been to where I have been tired of the buffet food after 1 wk. Vegetables were cold at the buffet beginning of the week but improved. Service at the restaurants was great. Beach was fabulous, ocean floor sand, not rocks. Pool was fin [... read more]e. Lots of Cabana's at pool, but they were set up so you were either in the sun or the shade, and unable to move your lounge chair from sun to shade or vice versa. Only one complaint> We did not take in any of the evening entertainment as it did not start until 9:45 pm. When you eat early Supper, there is nothing to do in the evening.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: A Royal Week of Relaxation

We had a wonderful vacation at the royalton white sands resort. The food was amazing! They had an amazing variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish and for those who enjoy trying new dishes they had a great selection of Jamaican cuisine. They had 7 a la cartes restaurants to chose from. Armadillo Tex Mex, Calypso (Jamaican food), OPA Mediterranean, Jade Asian cuisine, Hunters steak house, Grazie Italian and Jade teppanyaki (need a reservation for Jade only). Staff were very attentive  [... read more]and made you feel welcome. They had a fantastic entertainment team. We had the opportunity to get to know Javare with the entertainment team. He was extremly outgoing and personable, definitely adding to the guest experience. Entertainment during the day includes trivia, hula hoop, dance lesson, karaoke etc. They also had an amazing fitness team. We took several of Jeffery’s classes. They did aqua fit , boot camp, sunrise yoga, sun set yoga, volley ball, Trx training, kick boxing etc. Lots to do during the day. They had a white clothing beach party on Monday night with a fire, s’mores and reggae music, everyone really enjoyed this event. We also really enjoyed the foam party at the adult pool which was on Friday. Water activities included paddle boards, kayaks, hobbie cats, masks and snorkels for guests to use. We splurged our last day and rented a pool cabana complete with our own infinity plunge pool, lcd tv, sound system and mini fridge. Cabanas come with butler service as well. Ours was Mr. Young. He was very professional, attentive, outgoing and a genuine asset to The Royalton. What a fantastic vacation! It would be difficult to find anything to complain about the Royalton white sands. Due to the rough sea at the time, the beach (White Sands side) was left a bit rocky and scattered with seaweed. The beach crew worked hard to clean up promptly. Beach venders are permitted to walk the waterline and could be a little over the top and pushy. If you can afford to spend a bit more I’d recommend staying on the Blue Waters side of the resort, it has newer rooms and you can use the beach chairs on the better beach side (no rocks and hardly any seaweed) . If you wait until you get there and decide you want to upgrade they want you to pay 200 additional per night per couple. Amazing vacation with amazing people. Thanks Royalton.

Hedonism II: Amazing

Renovations of the hotel were great , provided coolers of bottled water alone beach area . Very clean always had made service in all bathrooms . The entertainment staff put on amazing shows. Food was fantastic

Sandals Dunn's River: Great Resort

The Hotel was very clean and well maintained. I found the service particularly friendly , prompt , and helpful . The attention to the grounds was on a daily basis and constant, so they was always clean and tidy . The food was varied and good.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Lovely time!

My husband and I were at the Grand Bahia Príncipe last week and had a great time overall. First the good... Lovely resort, well manicured gardens, very friendly front desk and staff all around, large clean room on the 1st floor with all amenities like bath robes, slippers, iron, hairdryer and usual toiletries. Good room service. Good a-la-carte restaurants. Conrad, our server at Don Pablo was excellent! We were given a room on the Luxury side of the hotel (block 23) which was quiet and away [... read more] from the main pool area. Now, the not so good....beach area is small for such a large resort and from where we were, quite a long ways away,no long walks on the beach, Piscis the beach restaurant is quite far to walk to for lunch or a snack if you are lounging on the west side of the beach, no wash rooms inside the main buffet area. Wonder what parents of little kids would do in an emergency! Food, while plenty, not enough variety for vegetarians. A vegetarian omelet will be cooked on the same grill as one with the meats, so if you are a staunch vegetarian (thankfully I am not) then this would not work for you. Instructions to operate safes in the rooms were incorrect and outdated. Lack of proper signage, the elevators are the slowest in the world so good luck if you have a room on the upper levels! Wi-fi in the Lobby (only area) was very spotty and connection was quite tedious. I didn't really care because I was on holiday..but felt sorry for the front desk staff who had to deal with disgruntled guests on a daily basis. Go without any expectations and you will have a good time!

SeaGarden Beach Resort: Comfortable, safe resort

We had a great time at the Sea Garden, the staff was friendly and quick to smile and make you feel at ease . The buildings and grounds were clean and well looked after. The food had a special flair all of its own, there was always something new to try, we especially enjoyed the dinner parties at the beach and the pool. We look forward to a return visit.
