Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Great beaches, amazing resort.

This was our 4th time to the Tulum area of Mexico. This is probably my favorite of the resort's so far. The way that the resort is built into the jungle with so much green space is fantastic. The rooms were very comfortable and kept very clean. The seating in the restaurants and buffets was a little more spaced out due to covid. The restaurants were great. We particularly enjoyed the French, Japanese, Brazilian and Steakhouse restaurants. The portions at the Brazilian and Steakhouse restaurants  [... read more]were crazy large with lots of protein. The theatre venue is great. We often enjoyed cocktails at the Sky bar before dinner. This is the only downside with a very repetitive electronic techno pop music. I guess I'm getting too old! 😜

Grand Palladium Kantenah: A great stay

Rooms were clean. Service was amazing. Pools and beaches were fantastic. Staff levels seemed low. Ala carte restaurants were very good. My only complaint was that the food at the buffet was always cold.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing resort!

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The service, food, drinks, the pools and grounds were amazing! We received a free upgrade to our room. I recommend getting the privileged package as you’re treated more like VIP!

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun: Hidden Gem!

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights. We loved how clean the resort was, it was well maintained. The boutique style made it easy to access all the services. We stayed in the backend on the balcony it was cozy and private.The staff was personable and friendly. If you are looking for an intimate resort, Margaritaville is it. We noticed that staff checked the water quality in the pools every morning. It was the perfect getaway to relax and reconnect. We also took advantage of the late night room service. We made lifelong friendships at the resort because we felt safe everyone there was kind and genuine. The entertainment was late night karaoke and themed nights, please note this isn’t a hardcore party resort it’s more of a chill and intimate space to reconnect. We also enjoyed that it wasn’t too far from the airport.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great restort, not so great food

Overall the resort is massive and beautiful, the beach, while a bit rocky is great too. Our room was big, clean and very aesthetically pleasing, especially given the relatively low price. The servers and bartenders are all very polite and helpful. The one problem is the food is not up to standard. The buffet and the restaurants food is very bland or in some cases just cooked poorly, the one exception is the Italian restaurant, it is pretty good. We found ourselves going out for dinner off the re [... read more]sort on 3 of the 7 days. If you don't like your food with salt or steak seared properly than you'll enjoy the resort food.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing Resort

This resort was fantastic. Beautiful rooms, very well kept, very clean, fantastic restaurants and amazingly friendly staff. Although we didn't travel with our kids, it was very easy to notice what a great family resort it is, as well as being a great place for just adults, providing you stay on the adults only side. The only complaint was the travel with Air Transat. Once we got there we waited about 1.5hrs for our luggage. Then when departing, we were picked up at 7am for our 1215pm flight so  [... read more]we sat in the airport for about 4.5 hours waiting around.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great resort

The grounds were well kept. The beaches were amazing. The food was really good. Even the buffet was pretty good. The entertainment was great. The rooms were very nice. The staff were superb. Specifically the ones running games in the pool

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Beautiful Lush Property

This resort is large, grounds excellent. The food in the buffet is varied and tasty. The a la cartes we attended were well presented, and the food very good, the service great as well. There are shuttles that run every 15 minutes, but we chose to walk for the most part, enjoying the pathways through the mangrove. The pools are quite large and the activities fun to watch. There were a couple of issues with our room keys losing programming, at fairly inconvenient times and because we were in  [... read more]Building 12 it was a pretty good walk to the lobby to have them reprogrammed. There is something for everyone to do at this resort!

The Sens Riviera: Great resort

I traveled to this resort in November with my sister. We upgraded to sunclub. We really enjoyed this resort. The staff, food and service was exceptional. The room was clean and spacious. The sheets and towels were changed daily. The drinks in the bar fridge were replenished daily. There were plenty of chairs and Bali beds around the pools but limited on the beach. The only real negative feed back is the strong perfume scent in the lobby and the lack of entertainment during the day around the [... read more] pools on the sunclub side.

We have been to Coba 3 times. This time we found it to be a little neglected and run down it seems to have lost its charm it needs TLC IT IS STILL A NICE PLACE BUT I THINK COVID HAS BEEN HARD ON THEM

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Nice resort

I an say that this resort is very nice, clean, the staff are amazing, very attentive to the guests. Food was great and the staff did a great job catering to some of the guests food needs ie: gluten free. Pools were great and clean as well. The steaks knives are only good for spreading peanut butter, someone pls get the steakhouse some new knives. Knowing that this was not beach front we thought we would try it anyway, not really our thing but that is no fault of the resort. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Sunny and hot as promised, but 7 days is plenty.

The resort is large and expansive but I do think they try to make the different resorts within the larger Bahia Principe property different levels of quality and they also treat the guest differently which can be frustrating. The Coba is the least renovated property and likely the least expensive. The lobby attendants try to convince you to sit for a presentation "not timeshare" and then proceed to try to sell you 30-40 weeks in the slightly more upscale resort "Tulum" I believe. Nothing seems t [... read more]o change in the 25-plus years I have been going to Mexico, but it is what it is. For the rooms: the rooms are clean, but showing their age as we had two rooms and one the A/C didn't work, and the other had a leak over the bathroom from either the AC unit or the bathroom above. The phone didn't work properly but they changed it out. The cable was cutting in and out but it worked for the most part. As for the food and restaurants, they are all ok. They give you three reservations and if you get the App beforehand, you should be able to book it. We tried the Japanese, Asian Fusion, and Le Gourmet and it was a nice change from the buffet. The buffet had a lot of selection, but the resort is large so it was quite busy at all times and there were some concerns about the cleanliness of the utensils and the cooks. Covid is definitely over in Mexico, so if you are a germophobe, you may want to book a less busy place. The entertainment is good, magic show, Beatles-themed show, but you have to be savvy and book ahead of time for the shows. Most of the staff try really hard. I am more concerned with Air Canada vacations, than the hotel as the communication for transfers to the Hotel and back from the Airport was poor and you really have to ask the "tour operator" for assistance to ensure you get a shuttle back to airport. Even when you get to Cancun, they allow time-share type salespeople to speak to you in the Airport pretending to be airport transfer information. The gov't should do something about this as it is frustrating after a long flight and you want to get to your hotel which is a 2-hour transport if you don't book privately. I am good for a Mexican holiday for another 4-5 years.

Grand Sunset Princess: Love this resort!

The resort and grounds were great. The food was very good. We have been here before. I only had 2 things that were alittle disappointing. There should be an adults only pool area and the theater for shows was too contained for covid. Many places have outside shows, but this resort does not.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Beautiful Place

The grounds are clean and beautiful. The food is very good. We had a room near the pool, but the only issues we could complain about were that there is no coffee machine, iron or alarm clock in the rooms. These are small things, but this is the first resort in our 6 vacations to Mexico that did not provide any of these. The people were amazing as always.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: We don't tell everyone...

ABR is a small resort on a wide white sandy beach where one goes to relax and snorkel. It is not a party place. It is family friendly. Most of the staff have been there for years. Many of the guests have been coming back for years. You can talk to anyone there, even if you don't have a language in common. When you come back to ABR and the bell captain gives you a hug and says "Thanks for coming back" you know that you are at home again.It's a long rive from the Cancun airport, but it is entirel [... read more]y worth it.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Wonderful Resort

Although we were booked at Colonial, we got switched to Tropical because we wanted two beds in the room, not king size. Lovely scenery. Beach was clean and walkable. Ocean was great for swimming. I took water shoes. There were some rocks but there are areas of pure sand. Grounds were kept maintained. Pools were good. Staff were pleasant.

From the time me and my family arrived at the resort the service has been fantastic; the staff were very friendly and helpful. To name a few, Andrai at the front desk, Miguel at the coffee cart, Ramon lobby staff and Carlos at the Pez Vela beach restaurant, however all the staff were great. We stayed at the Eden building, which is located close to the beach and the pool. Not to mention the food, it's the best buffet food I have ever had, I also liked that the staff was constantly cleaning and replenishing dishes. I would definitely go back to Ocean Riviera Paradise.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Very nice resort

The rooms were rather basic for a five star hotel. The buffet and restaurants were very good. There were lots of pallapas for shade, and waiters always on hand to deliver drinks on the beach and around the pool. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Entertainment in the evenings was very enjoyable.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Awesome trip, amazing resort and incredible people!

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous and met or exceeded all of our expectations! The food was awesome, so many different options, everything felt so fresh and homemade and satisfied all of our Mexican food cravings! The a la cart restaurants were especially fantastic, the Mexican restaurant, and the steakhouse were our favourites for sure. The best part of the trip was how extremely lovely and kind everyone was to our family.
