Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Super Modern Resort!

All areas of resort kept very clean and tidy! Rooms are bright and nicely decorated! Service is excellent wherever you are on the resort. The best view in varadero is at the 11th floor bar & restaurant! The beach is outstanding! !

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Amazing Resort

We found the Iberostar Varadeo to be a top notch resort. The grounds are beautifully kept and guest friendly with multiple walking paths. All areas of the resort were very clean and well lit for night time strolls. Our room was spacious and the king sized bed comfortable. The staff were very friendly, helpful and strived to meet our needs to insure we were having a good time. Down at the beach is an employee who assisted with locating beach chairs with shelter. Walking about the res [... read more]ort we encountered different employees most of whom inquired if we were finding our stay enjoyable and if we needed assistance with anthing to ask. This made us feel pampered and we loved it, never having experienced this kind of hospitality before. Regarding dining one will never go hungry as there is a multitude of selections. However, much of the prepared foods, in the buffet dining area, had very little flavour so we had a variety of cheeses with our breakfast and dinner. I would highly recommend supporting the local economy by purchasing fresh, seasonal, fruits, as those that were available were tasteless--I had never seen pineapple slices so white before instead of the deep yellow of ripe sweetness. Our favourite dining spot on the resort was the Cuban al la carte. Our first meal was succulent and flavourful--so much so that we returned a second and third time. Had we visited longer we would have had all our dinners at the Cuban restaurant. We were able to sample a bit of the local cuisine with the rice and beans and the yucca--Yum! The lobster, fish, shrimp and soup were also most flavourful. We plan to return in 2 years with a few family members and some friends.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Lovely

Beautiful and manicured. So many pools and choice of food. Something for everyone. Most service is on par. Buffet service could be more consistent. Rooms are clean and serviced appropriately. Very large so you’ll want to take advantage of the golf carts Nd trolley when you get a chance.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Wonderful resort... our happy place!!

Stayed January 21-28th, 2018. 3rd time at this resort and it is still amazing. Beautifull grounds, lovely nice big room with a huge bathroom...double sinks, separate rain shower & big tub. Everything very clean and in working order, including AC. Housekeeping always does a super job and the mini fridge is always topped up daily with bottled water, juice, pop, beer, little bottles of alcohol and snacks. Let's face it..no matter how beautiful the resort is, it is the staff that make the difference & the staff at Iberostar Grand definitely make a difference! Here is an example... My husband got a pretty bad sunburn ( he burns in the shade and didn't put enough sunscreen on one day). We decided to spend the next day hanging out in our room to keep him out of the sun and our butler noticed this. The butler (sorry, I can't remember his name) showed up at our room a few minutes later with a big bottle of aloe gel for his burn. So thoughtful and kind!! There are 3 pools at this resort with an abundance of loungers and covered beds. There is a towel hut so you can exchange wet towels for dry ones as many times as you want and there is even sunscreen there for the guests to use. The beach is not huge but the sand is nice and soft and the water clear & sooo warm! Lazy days on the beach with drink service right to your lounger...what more can you ask for. ( Kinesha is a gem, so sweet, kind, personable and works so hard slugging those drinks to us all day long in the hot sun and always with a smile on her face). The food in all of the restaurants is Yummy and the best that we have ever had at any AI resort, and we have been to many different resorts over the past 10 years. Even the room service food is great. There is something to suit all tastes so you will definitely never go hungry. They even have BBQs on the beach on some days. Can' t beat eating fresh fish, jerk chicken etc in your bathing suit on the beach! The Star Friends will keep you entertained with beach volley ball, pool games,etc if that's your thing. They are tireless and work so hard but are not pushy so if you just want to laze around that's just fine too. Jamaica and Iberostar Grand Rose Hall is our happy place and if you give it a try it might just turn into your happy place as well.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: OK Resort

The resort is laid out very well and was easy to get around. It needs to be updated and they are on some of the areas. When we first arrived we were given a room with twin beds on the ground level after requesting a king and at least one level higher. The air conditioner did not work, no door on the safe, bathroom door was broken, and the room was not clean. It took 2 days to get moved to a different room. We have been to Cuba 16 times and this was the first time we felt the staff at the resort were not that friendly (a few acceptations). We would recommend but would give the heads up on issues.

Hotel Mojito: Very amazing location

The hotel was good but was disappointed no balconies. But otherwise all the staff are hard working and very pleasant. They suffered greatly from the hurricane and are making a come back but supplies and equipment is limited. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Great winter escape

My wife and young daughter travelled to Iberostar Paraiso Beach from March 19-26/2018. We enjoyed this resort a lot. The weather was excellent! The trip from the airport was pretty quick (about 30-35min). Check- in was smooth and all the staff were very helpful and all spoke English. Standard room was "standard", but clean, they gave us a ground floor which is key if you have young kids (no elevators). They keep the mini fridge well stocked with water and beer. This resort was good for fami [... read more]lies, lots for kids to do (parks, kids club, kids show in the evening etc) and lots of wildlife for them to look at. The grounds are very clean and well kept. The food was good, my wife and daughter are gluten / dairy free and the chefs accommodated them very well (they will come and offer to make you special dishes if you let the hostess know). The resort is large so be prepared to walk a lot, but they have carts to pick you up if you want. The beach is nice, it's big enough and not super crowded, lots of seaweed, but it gets cleaned up daily. The pools are really nice and big and you can use the pools at the neighbouring Iberostar resorts so you don't get bored. The bars were good. Service was quick and you won't have to go to far to get to the next one. They have lots of activities/entertainment, the staff were enthusiastic and friendly. The gym is awesome, brand new, large and open. They have a nice shopping area as well with a good coffee shop, bars, restaurants, carousel, sweet shop etc. They have an on site golf course, it's $99 usd for 18 holes or after 2pm $69usd, plus $55usd club rental. So if you plan on playing bring your own clubs if possible. My only complaint is with the airline(Air Transat) as they do not allow families with infants to select seats. So my wife and were not seated together, I know several other families had the same issues. I would definitely recommend this resort to a friend and would rate it between 4 and 4.5 stars.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great trip, beautiful resort.

Just returned from a week at Laguna Azul, and we were very pleased. We went on the recommendation of our agent and we weren't disappointed. The resort was beautiful and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly, and we were well taken care of. A shoutout to the bartenders they were amazing. The food was outstanding, lots of variety, we didn’t go hungry that’s for sure. We will definitely be returning to Iberostar Laguna Azul.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Great for small children

This was our second stay at the suites. Food and beach are wonderful. The staff bent over backwards to assist and look after you. Don't waste your time with the VIP/timeshare tour. It was a waste of 90 minutes and at the end we cold not understand what we would get for our $30,000 expenditure.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Had a great time!!

They even had nachos! Beaches were beautiful with a couple hundred meters of fine white sands and turquoise blue water. Food was much better than expected. Room was large, clean, separate show and tub. Water was hot when needed with good pressure. Staff was nice, with mostly great service. Would recommend.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Family Fun

This hotel is great for both couples and families. The rooms are updated and modern. The facilities, such as the pools and kids area are amazing. Everything was kept clean and in working order. Many days you will see the manager on site interacting with guests and staff in a very pleasant manner. The entertainment staff work so hard to make sure that guests are having a wonderful time. The kids club make sure that the little kids are having a great time as well and the parents don't need to [... read more] worry about their little ones. The only thing that I feel falls a bit short is the food. There could be more variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wait times are and can be quite long at the hot stations such as pizza and pasta. There could also be some improvement in the beach area. This area could be cleaned up quite a lot with the number of rocks. Perhaps raking the area every morning would make it beautified. These would be the only areas that I would say needs to be worked on. This is a resort that my family would for sure go back to. Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Fourth time to this resort!

I have been 4 time to Laguna Azul in Varadero, and this was the worst it has been. We arrived and there was no proper room for us. The staff was gracious enough to give us a room for a short period to make it a bit easier. The no water issue was also a big problem the first few day. After these issue everything seemed to come together for a fantastic vacation. I love this resort, but they could improve some areas.

Staff was very friendly, the shows in the theatre were wonderful. Rooms were very clean , however the king size mattresses were uncomfortable, double bed mattresses were better. Buffet was good, but for a big resort it would be better if it had more stations for fresh cooking because the lineups for eggs and omelette s were very long as there were only 2. Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Great time at Iberostar Bella Vista

We spent a week at Bella Vista at the end of March. Had a great time. The resort was very clean, good food and very friendly staff. Although we had to wait until Sunday morning to make our la carte reservations for the next week, we managed to go to 3 and thoroughly enjoyed the food! The beach was beautiful and the pools were great. The beach party was great fun. Beds were very comfortable. The entertainment was very professional - better than I have seen in Punta Cana or Mexico. Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Team are amazing at the pool,

Annie, Lindy(sorry maybe spelling wrong) and Rambo, excellent staff, an asset to have them. Very clean resort. Need to work on the drinks a little more. Great holiday would go back but like beach. Pool was lovely

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Great Resort

Service was exceptional..Everyone worked very hard to ensure you had a great vacation.. loved the room...spacious and clean with a large patio.. Plenty of hot water and towels...Beach towels were in your room upon arrival..grounds are well kept and beautiful . The gardeners have done an amazing job re planting and cleaning up after the hurricane...WiFi in lobby was only one peso for an hour..did not need adapter for charging my devices..

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Beautiful Resort

This was my first time at the Bella Vista as it is a new resort. I typically go to the Iberostar Laguna Azul, the Bella Vista is absolutely beautiful. Very Modern although I do not typically enjoy modern when in the Carribean I very much enjoyed this one. Our room was spectacular, we were told right away that our view would be breathtaking, and it certainly was that, we were ocean front AMAZING! the food was excellent for the most part. Luckily for us we realized soon enough for breakfast and lunch the Seafood restaurant doubles as a buffet during the day. The entertainment at night is also a Nice touch in the lobby as this resort does not have a disco. Lastly, the staff are amazing, from the servers, to the bartenders, cleaning staff reception etc great job. Also It is a first for me to see the bartenders as trained as this crew at the Bella Vista. Im impressed and keep in mind for the last 6 trips of mine were all at the Laguna Azul which is my go to place, i now have another go to location in Varadero. The very last comment ill make is, i am also a beach girl, this beach was not my favorite as it is quite small, however we made it work it was still stunning when the waves finally decided to calm down. Thank you to the staff at Bella Vista and the beautiful Iberostar accomodations.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Nice resort on the decline

It was probably nice at one time but it is not being maintained due to lack of parts and resources. For example, no handle on patio door , safe and fridge don't work. The food was very bland and always the same every day. Havanatur were always late. One excursion was cancelled and we were never notified.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great Resort

The resort was large, lots of pool areas to choose from whether you wanted to relax or enjoy the various activities. The buffets took some getting used to, finding something that you felt comfortable eating however as the stay went longer the comfort with the food was good and was quite acceptable. There were some issues with the 1st room but we were given a new room and all was fine...4 out of 5...we enjoyed our time!

We had a great time. Staff was amazing and the resort was so comfortable. I would definitely recommend it and definitely go back. The food was surprisingly good. Lots of entertainment. The beach was gorgeous.
