Riu Negril: Excellent!

We booked a garden view room and received an amazing water view. The way the hotel is built I would think almost every room would get a view of the water. The room was spotless housekeeping did a fantastic job. The buffet was huge and the food was good. We went to 2 specialty restaurants also good. We came home with bigger bellies than we went with ;). Non stop entertainment at the main pool, on the beach and in the evenings always something to do. When the sun comes up you can see starfish crabs and stingray what a great way to start your day. There are vendors on the beach right next door its so much fun to barter with the locals. Scuba Caribe is right on the beach we booked a sunset cruise with them , went to the cliffs in Negril (Ricks Cafe) and Seven Mile Beach (Margaritaville) very enjoyable afternoon. Heather Felice at Trip Central made all the arrangements simple and stress free. Thank you Trip Central we will be back :)

Riu Caribe Cancun: Unforgettable Vacation!!

Our family of 8 just returned from an incredible trip to the Riu Palace Penninsula Cancun. We travel often and have experienced many different hotels in Mexico but this hotel is now our most favourable! The hotel was immaculately kept clean and all staff were exceptional and very professional. All staff truly went above and beyond to help make our vacation unforgettable. My son and I have gluten and dairy allergies and upon speaking the chef on the first day, they prepared special gluten free pa [... read more]ncakes and pasta for us each day! Riu Santa Fe: Resort is always a beautiful view...

Wasn't happy with the food at all this time...4yrs ago when we went the food at the buffet was fantastic..this time...not so much. A la carte system is terrible...you cant book your time u want..u have to go to them for 6pm ..line up...put your name in...you might get in when u want...they only have two sittings...which is ridiculous for that amount of people...and with more than half the restaurants empty while you are in having your dinner... They should go back to the old way...make reser [... read more]vations when you arrive and have your meeting with the sunwing agents.. The sunwing meeting was on the bus this time..which is ok I guess...but you have to go find them anyways if you want to book an excursion...so dont get that system either ..Anyways wouldnt go back again...and I dont think I would tell people to go there...which is sad...because that is y ..we went back a second time...as it was fantastic the first time...but this time i give it a 3 on a scale of 1-10...

Riu Santa Fe: Resort is really nice

We were at this resort in 2014..food at the buffet was great ..this time not very good at all..the a la cartes were not good at all..compared to 4yrs ago.they have really cheapened up..u can't book your a la cartes. .u have to go by 6..put your name in..even then u may not get it. ..they should go back to letting u book your a la cartes when u have your meeting with sunwing people. .for these reasons ..I really doubt we would go back..or would I yell people to go...jo goddard

Riu Emerald Bay: A wonderful resort

A beautiful resort Very clean and really nice staff Good food and drinks Clean pools and excellent service Would not go around Easter again as the hotel was really full and a lot of kids The out trips were OK but because of the Easter holiday they were packed An isolated location

Riu Playa Blanca: Will definitely return to a Riu Resort!

Just got back from a two week vacation at the Riu Playa Blanca in Panama. It was our first time staying at a Riu resort and we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms, restaurants and grounds. Check-in was a breeze. They were well prepared for our arrival. Upon entering our room, we noticed that the lock on our balcony door was missing. Lobby staff had a maintenance man up to our room within 5 minutes to repair the lock. Problem solved! All staff were friendly and attenti [... read more]ve to our needs. Although all inclusive buffets tend to be repetitive, the fare was good and plentiful. Pool cleaners had a full-time job testing and keeping the pools clean, especially the pool by the bar which was especially crowded and therefore had a lot of greasy film from all the sunscreen floating on top. We would not hesitate to stay at another Riu hotel on future vacation destinations.

Riu Playa Blanca: Great resort

Newer hotel, good food, great service and amazing beach. The beach was like a canvas with a different picture everyday. You can't beat this place for the price and a bonus that it was so close to the airport.

Riu Emerald Bay: Love this resort

We just returned from our 5th visit to riu emerald bay. This is the only resort we have gone to more than once and we travel at least 2 times a year. As all other times every thing was great. This resort is all Ocean view rooms and one of the cleanest places we have ever been to. We love the riu resorts because the food is always good. You can always find something to eat and enjoy. Where ever you look there is someone cleaning nothing is missed on the cleaning list. The staff is always friendly [... read more] and helpful. The riu emerald bay is located in a great area, close enough to take a cab or a bus into the golden zone or the old town to see some of the history of Mazatlan or to shop. We will definitely be returning hopefully soon.

Riu Guanacaste: Resort for everybody!

Good size of the rooms and nice location on the beach. Convenient with all facilities on the resort premises; such as scuba/water sports center, spa/wellness, disco, small shops. And an adventure park close by. Very good setup for a la carte restaurants with first come first served principle and the buzzer if you are waiting, telling you when the table is ready for you. And the buffé food was very tasty and huge variation. Service was excellent! From clean room to clean pool and beach. Easy [... read more] to book tours as all the representatives have their desk at the lobby where you can ask about the excursions and book directly. The closest town is Coco, and it has a nice beach and a main street with plenty of souvenir shops. Overall great resort with excellent service. I'll be back :-)

Riu Palace Macao: Fantastic Resort - Will return

This is by far the nicest hotel we've been to. This is our second time at Punta Cana and our second "adults only" resort. The quality and selection of the food was fantastic. Even the picky eaters would never go hungry. The service at both the pool bar and the lobby bar was first class. The wait staff was very attentive and quick to bring your drinks. The grounds were impeccable and there was always cleaning staff continually making sure everything was spotless. The beach was beautiful with  [... read more]lots of lounge chairs and palm trees for shade. The rooms were well kept and the turn down service at night was a lovely touch. We got the free bus that took us to a cigar factory, a chocolate factory and a very large souvenir store. The only negative was when we booked our catamaran/snorkel tour on the plane. It was cheaper that buying it at the resort, but it was pretty lame for the price. Of course there will always be picky people who aren't happy unless they are complaining about even the smallest things, but to those people, perhaps you need to stay home. This is after all a third world country, so get over yourself. We are seasoned travelers and consider this a 5 star all the way and we will return for sure.

Riu Flamingos: Wonderful place

The hotel not bad ,when we book in Tripp central they told us we don't need to reserve for fine dining restaurant but we went toItalian restaurant ,and the hostess told us we wait for an hour in order for s to eat but it looks like we need to reserve earlier In. order for us to eat.We are so hungry so we go to steak restaurant and its close again we try the Chinese also close we end up eating in the buffet.Ivan the manager of the restaurant is very helpful he resolve our problem .the next  [... read more]day he sure we can try the Italian restaurant and the Steak restaurant too .we stayed at Iberostar in Cancun couple of times with the family but the Riu Jalisco is one of our favorite we definitlely go back because of the best atmosphere and the employee very polite especially Ivan and Barbara the waitress in buffet .

Riu Ocho Rios: What a great place to vacation.

First of all the service from the staff was amazing, there was not a time where I did not have them asking me if i was ok or needed something. The food was excellent. The facilities were clean. There were alot of activities for my family including my 11 year old. The shows were good. Definitely going back.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Best Bang For Your Buck!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Riu Palace, Paradise Island from March 25th - April 1st. The hotel is modern and clean. We definitely enjoyed the food and the buffet had a ton of options. The wine was especially good but bring your own mug when it comes to the beer, since the cups are really small. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a situation one night where some guys were up late, partying and smoking weed. Once we approached the manager (Nicolas) he immediately switched us to a differ [... read more]ent floor without hesitation. He was extremely professional and we really appreciated his actions. The beach was amazing, but just ignore the locals who are constantly trying to sell you products/excursions. Location was amazing, since it is right beside the Atlantis hotel. We walked over almost everyday. Felt very safe walking into town, as well. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

Riu Republica: SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!

This was our second year at the RIU Republica and again, we were blown away. The place is simply outstanding on ALL fronts. The hotel and the entire resort are super clean, the rooms are nice and big with a nice balcony and the bed is very comfy. ALL the staff is so, so friendly and welcoming - and the service is incredible. And the food - OMG!!! Everything is delicious, there is a lot of variety at the buffet, which is very nicely presented. The "a la carte" restaurants are also quite nice a [... read more]nd there are several different interesting selections to choose from - and no reservations needed. And the beach - there are no words to describe how beautiful it is. We've been to several resorts on Bavaro Beach and every year, it just takes our breath away. All in all, it was a fantastic holiday again this year and we highly recommend this resort. We may even go back for a third year in 2019! Riu Flamingos: Great vacay with teens, I KNOW!

Taking two 16 year old boys with us to the RIU I was a little unsure that there would be enough for them to do but Nicole’s suggestion of this hotel was the right one. I was considering another hotel but she thought this one would be better for us. She was so right! The boys had a blast playing beach volleyball, waterpolo, boogie boarding and hanging with other kids they met through the week. The food was really good at the buffet and it changed daily. We did not get the rooms we requested but one call and they made it right. We also had air conditioner issues but the hotel fixed it promptly. Rooms are average looking but very clean and fairly well maintained. The only thing I truly hated was the bedding. They use a protective mattress cover that is so plastic that you feel like you are in a toddlers bed and it makes for a very sweaty and uncomfortable sleep. We stayed during spring break so it was very busy and you had to get up early to get a good spot at the pool but there were also spots on the beach. Kudos to the bar staff who work so hard, as well as the restaurant staff and housekeeping, all staff were excellent at the RIU. The lineup at the Sunwing airport check in at Yyc was horrendous and took almost an hour to get through. Surprisingly the checking in Puerto Vallarta for the flight home was only ten minutes, so very efficient. The flights were pretty good for a charter and I would probably use sunwing again. For sure I will use Tripcentral again and specifically Nicole DeForest as she really tried to recommend the best place for us and turned down a higher commission to find us the right place, Thanks Nicole!

Riu Santa Fe: Gorgeous!

This resort is amazing ! Exceeded my expectations, beautiful view, many bars, many pools, offers many restaurants. The staff is very friendly and they eager to meet your needs. I will be coming back to this resort.

Riu Santa Fe: Awesome resort!

The resort was exactly what we were expecting - it was the end of spring break so it was a big party, but we were there to party so it was perfect. Overall food wasn't bad, dinner buffet wasn't good but everything else was. Our fridge didn't work 50% of the time but they did fix it. Walls are SUPER thin (you can hear everything) and the beds are rock hard. I'd come back with friends for sure, since it was majority young people, but there was a pool that was far from the partying where more o [... read more]f the families and younger kids were.

Riu Playa Blanca: Amazing Vacation!

The Hotel is gorgeous, awesome food, great beach and sooooooooo HOT! We spent 7 full days and wished we booked for 2 weeks. We did the jungle boat tour which is a must. Although the forecast shows rain and clouds, it was gorgeous the entire week :P

Riu Playa Blanca: Excellent rexort . Simple yet verry well kept up!

Resort was simple, clean good food great service. More of a self serve resort which I am good with. Locals were great , vendors did not attack you for a sale and for money. Tours were great. Sunwing rep was great aswell

Riu Palace Macao: Great Staff, good food, incredible social atmosphere

The Sun Wing staff was great on both flights despite a bit of a delay getting out of Punta Cana. We were placed in rooms immediately (traveling with another couple) both rooms had air conditioning that did not work, we asked for a room change the best Tiu staff could offer was an upgrade at 8400.00 Dominican dollars each and the staff insisted that it had to be in cash, I have to suspect that the management there split the money among them or we could have paid with a credit card. The food was [... read more] good in the buffet and fantastic in the ala carte although the Kabuki was not the greatest although the head waiter Medeiros was energetic and comical. The room was cleaned regularly we were always offered extra towels and our bed was always turned down when we returned from evening activities. Drinks were served at the beach, around the pool, and on the patio the service was incredible. The pool bar was lots of fun with Virgilio, Smarlin being at the ready at all times, no one solicited tips but due the great service they were happily given. The entertainment was good take the time to attend the shows. The activities staff were great, Any, Chili, Eddie Spaghetti, were just a few they were all great. I like the fact that this resort seems to have centralized the activities so that everyone has the chance for involvement.
