Club Karey: Right on the beach!

I loved the fact that the hotel is right on the beach! You cannot ask for more. The personnel is very friendly. The food was ok; I'd have liked dessert options. More palapas and beach chairs would have been nice as well.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: certainly not a 5* resort

beach- all varadero beach is exceptional food-because of the embargo the food is not good in regards to variety.example bacon twice in 7 days.you will always find something.oj is rare. service-from poor to very good.example fridge not stocked daily because maid said they do not have it.room is clean. shower-hand held shower only with no hot water or water pressure.not exceptable for a true 5* star resort. grounds-excellent.everything is very close together. nightly entertainment is a 3* at  [... read more]best.no Michael Jackson,no audience participation,no fire shows etc.. no small bottles of water for day trips. bank on resort open 24-7-is a bonus. not enough chairs during night shows a lot of people especially older had to stand up.poorly organized.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Fun time

We did have fun and staff was great. Suggest upgrading to privilege. Food in pricilage was amazing but buffet was awful and im not a picky eater. We did have issues with not having towels and not being able to get fresh beach towels. There is nowhere to exchange them on the grounds like other resorts. To get a new beach towel you have to leave your towel in your room and the maid would exchange them if there were enough. noliDUO Havana Varadero: Iberostar Laguna Azul STAY AWAY

Just returned from Iberostar Laguna Azul. Worst all inclusive hotel I have ever stayed at. Reserved through Air Transat. Issues encountered by us and most guests we talked to: No hot water for 2 1/2 days no TV for 2 days Almost all elevators were non functional. Our room was on 5th floor Our Air conditioner in room made noise like a buldozer Red and white wine tasted watered down Coffee was so weak we had to order Cafe Americano at lobby bar but line up in morning took 15 -20 minutes. Menu is a lie.Waited 20 minutes for alternative meal Bro in law ordered shrimp meal to receive tiny shrimps on rice bed that were not peeled. Had to order alt meal Jacuzzi on ground floor had 6 inches of cold water Jacuzzi on 5th floor was full of cold water No facecloths or tissues in room Showerhead holder broken. Had to hold wand with hand Met guests that had pictures of cockroaches in room and a picture of 3 foot snake outside of same room.Must have been on ground floor

Blau Varadero: Amazing resort for adults

A nice relaxing resort with very little commotion, it was a relaxing time. There was always chairs available and everyday new activities. But generally people where not doing much, no big parties or frat bros making a mess of things. The resort was amazing, building was stunning. Location and beach where the best I've ever seen. The service was alright for the most part attentive, however every now and then they would ignore you completely. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Don’t go

Awful food, poor service, no wine is not acceptable at an all inclusive, last day there no vodka ridiculous Will never return to Cuba employees all seemed tip hungry, I expected service. Not changing my bathroom towels the whole trip was another thing that disturbed me... I threw towels on the ground and the maid just hung up the dirty towel. The mini fridge was never stocked after asking 5 times... oh once they put 2 beers in it. Thx

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: It's the people and service that make El Patriarca good

Review of Ocean Varadero El Patriarca It's amazing to find people so happy, helpful and kind. Everyone from the reservation clerks, chamber maids, ground keepers, waiters , bar tenders went out of their to make you comfortable. Our chamber maid, China, was a wealth of information. She took the time to guide you on trips and was willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and happy with the service. Our room was kept pristine and with adequate supplies. The ground keepers were polite and made little baskets and decorated flowers with coconut branches and offered to the ladies. Mike’s coffee house was always busy with a variety of coffee and pastries. They make an excellent café Patriarca laded with rum. The ladies were always at your service smiling and having conversation with the customers. The food was excellent with local delicacies such as cassava, fried plantains, beans and pork in different forms and many other dishes. It gives you the feel of the Caribbean. The beach restaurant is highly recommended for lunch. Excellent service, fantastic people and good choice. I enjoyed the catch of the day. Local musician from 7-9, Piano bar until 11, shows nightly and variety of drinks from the bar. Avoid sitting next to guests who are there only to get drunk. Date of stay: February 2020

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Amazing resort

We had a amazing trip. In Cuba one of the very beautiful beaches is Varadero location. Absolutely gorgeous, people are very friendly and it is safe in Varadero. The view of the beach is stunning very friendly for families in Varadero Cuba. They really look after the tourist over there the whole Area is designed especially for Tourist.

Melia Varadero: Great Vacation

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay this past week at the Amelia Varadaro. Our room was clean and comfortable with a large balcony. All the staff that we encountered whether at our room, in the bars, in the a la cart, or the buffets or the front desk we were treated well and felt very comfortable. The warmth and kindness of the Cuban people keeps bringing us back.

Be Live Turquesa: third visit to this hotel

staff is friendly and almost every speaks english The grounds are well kept and the property is not big so it is easy to get around. My room was large with a large balcony and had been recently painted with a good air conditioner and tv. No complaints with the food or service The beach is perfect and always chairs available Pool is large ,clean and well maintained. Lots of activities and entertainment. Its a solid 3 star and i would return.

Melia Marina Varadero: Nice resorst great location for us specious 1 bdrm apt

Over all it's a good experience, this is our 2nd time at the same resort, there was little glitch at checking in time where the toilet seat cover was broken, when I asked for to be replaced, surprisingly I was told that isn't possible? no explanation why, then I was offered a room instead of the studio which I paid for, of course I refused. the house keeping manager Lucia after telling her that we are a repeated guest, she offered us complimentary upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment. Food is bi [... read more]t better than last year, entertainment was very good, the only thing I noticed the cleaning I mean the house keeping last year was bit better as pillow covers were smelly because of the pillows themselves weren't clean. We asked for replacement. One thing we didn't like at all also some other guests we spoke with had similar complain is the mattress, it was awful, broken springs impossible to sleep on, we slept on the couch in the living room which was somehow better. This would be the reason if I don't go to this resort again.

Melia Las Americas: Great resort,fun,sand and golf

All staff very kind and friendly. Totally recommend this place. Food was also great. We had 7 ala cart restaurant settings during our 10 day stay, with the availability to do beach BBQ for lunch and full buffets for breakfast. This was our 3rd trip and plan to go again.

Club Karey: Lackluster, you can find better

My girlfriend and I have previously been at a 4 star resort, and wanted to experience the quality of a lower star to see if it's worth it. We like to believe we have low standards, but this resort definitely let us down. Pros: -Good location from downtown -Food was fine considering it's Cuba Cons: -Took 5 days and 3 requests before finally getting our room cleaned -No pillow cases, and dried blood on both pillows -Toilet paper was extremely limited all throughout the resort (bring you [... read more]r own) -A la cart reservations are made at 10 am, we were told for 2 days that they were fully booked, yet there was only one other person waiting to reserve. We asked to reserve in advance then and were told you have to reserve 10 am the day of...clearly they only booked people who bribed them to book in advance. That is unacceptable. Needless to say, we never got to try the a la cart and just ate in town instead. -Alcohol options are extremely limited: beer, vodka, rum, and sometimes whiskey or liqueurs. Do not expect much for mixed drinks. No mojitos, and sometimes pina coladas if you're lucky -The beach here is alright, but is mostly sea shells. Not one of the white sandy beaches -Nice pool chairs, but extremely few chairs available on the beach -No entertainment other than poolside DJ, bingo, and sometimes live music Overall we understand it is a 2.5 star, but quite disatisfied even with that rating. I don't think I will ever go below 3.5 star again. I don't blame people for wanting to check it out themselves, but if you do want to gamble, bring toilet paper, pillow cases, and lower your expectations more than you already do for Cuba. Good luck!

Grand Memories Varadero: Great Resort

The beach was amazing, the grounds were well kept and the buildings were all getting a facelift when we were there. Rooms were just basic but nothing wrong with them. The food was good for Cuba. Overall a great trip.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great time !

The resort is in the midst of great renovations and will be amazing once finished However that did not effect our holiday at all The resort has a great layout , everything I reach Butlers were amazing especially Illiana Felix a waiter in the buffet went out of his way to ensure mealtimes we enjoyable Great holiday ! Would return to this resort

Playa Vista Azul: Relaxing vacation with family

amazing trip! I travelled to varadero with my 13 year old son and wife. We did Havana premium trip(all day)$90USD adult, $72 child with lunch snack and dinner,. just so worth while. I don't usually do reviews but i read them and they are important. We stayed at Ocean Vista Azul, block 7 it's not a 5 star hotel that you are accustomed to in Canada,Vegas or anywhere else, but it's clean and modern hotel, our room had huge walk-in shower, soap bars and shampoo, mini fridge was re-stocked with soft [... read more] drinks, beer and battle water, TV offer some english channel choices. I'm a huge fan of the ocean and beach in Cuba, but Caya Coco has much nicer sand. Food- the buffet - we did for 6 days, there's a lot of food: pork, fish, chicken, lamb, seafood. there was even langoste and lobster tails, don't recommend beef- could be very tough to bite-on. Getting into a la carte restaurant (limoncello italian) was not worth it, huge lineup and in my opinion not much better than the pasta in the buffet, very small portions tip your housekeeper, she's the one who keeps your room clean your beach towel- no, you might not get another one for the week, but it's okay, it's cuba. have an open mind, and you will have fun, remember, you came to cuba for only one thing, THE BEACH. This hotel has one smaller beach to the left and main beach 5-10 min walk with activities to the right. enjoy.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Beautiful Resort

Amazing resort had lots of fun with my wife, Staff was great and food was very good. Resort was very close to the beach and close to downtown varadero and the entertainment was perfect, will be recommending this hotel to my friends an family

The resort overall was very nice. Not crowded in the bars or buffet. It was clean and had some nice ammenities. The rooms were quite bad. When we arrived the pillow had mold on it and we did not get the king sized bed we had requested. The sheets were so moist it felt like I was sleeping in a wet bed. The repairs were very poorly done in a lot of places and kind of ruined the atmosphere in some places. However, the food was very good. Muthu Playa Varadero: Amazing resort

The people working there was so wonderful and taughfull. We went in December 2019 and a month later we went back again. The staff is amazing and the grounds and rooms are clean. There is 2 restaurants and a buffet restaurant as well I was told that they will add 2 more The resort is just big enough not too small Or Not too big. The entrainment was hard to beat
