Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: LOVE

I absolutely love this resort!!!! Loved the staff, they were willing to help and did so with a warm Jamaican smile. The food was delicious, varied every day with local dishes that were spiced just right. The rooms are very clean and update.

Hedonism II: Wonderful Place!!!!

My husband and I just returned from a 10-day stay at Hedonism II. Ten days was not enough. The place is beautifully clean. The food is terrific and abundant in choice. The beaches were raked and the grounds kept clean daily. The staff were terrific and always friendly. We love the entertainers....they are extremely talented and the shows are not to be missed. Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Great Value

The staff are super friendly and always helpful. The food is excellent mostly traditional Jamaican cuisine which I love. The beach is great. The pool is beautiful and really well maintained. The rooms are very nice as well.

Beachcomber Club: extremely friendly

If you appreciate Jamaican time you will love this place. The rooms were spacious and clean, washroom a little dated. Satellite TV was great if you were homesick for they had a lot of channels, Canada-CBC-City, USA-CNN, South America, Europe. All inclusive - well ahhh - food was limited to 2 mains(fish,chicken-fish,pork-fish-hamburger, and hot dogs), 1 veg, 2 starch, tossed salad, and cake. Jamaican time comes into effect on serving times. 30 to 45 minutes late. 7pm dinner started at 7:30  [... read more]or even 8pm. Same with breakfast and lunch. Limited bar on the all inclusive. Beach was clean, raked with plenty of lounge chairs. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: 3 Times a Charm

Seeing my old friend Eric Mclean from Eric’s Chillout Tours (876-790-3154) at the airport meant I was home again in Jamaica. Eric gives me and my wife a Red Stripe beer and on the road we go to the Iberostar in Montego Bay. Eric has been picking us up and taking us on excursions for more then 10 years. I ask him about the trouble and state of emergency, he says no problem man. I trust Eric he is a safe and knowledgeable driver. We went to town and saw or had no problem. We got smiles and drinks from a receptionist. My friend at the desk was Oralando who remembered us from last year. Then out comes the Desk Manager Andrae who got us the same room as last year. I like the room, with a big tub, double sinks, king size bed and full fridge. The view is as I remembered, beautiful. I had coffee and Bailys on the balcony ever day. When we checked into the room they gave us matching T-Shirts for returning. We also had a bottle of Premium Canadian Whiskey from a departing Manager Jonay, thanks. His replacement Andrew was so much like Jonay, work, work work. In our second week they gave us 2 more T shirts with my nickname Rasta Man on it. WOW. It was the windiest I ever saw. We where on the beach about 4 out of 14 days. The weather was very good. We found a nice spot with shade. I had fun everyday talking to the lifeguards Dick, Bruce, Norris, Youan and Sanjay. The resort no longer uses plastic straws for the ecology (which I support). They had paper straws that I did not like. We got 2 plastic straws (I can’t say from where) that we used for 2 weeks. We then made sure to dispose of them properly. Bring a couple of straws. We had great drinks every night. The staff like Christopher 1 and 2, Radane “Jellybean”, Glenroy, Shanike, Jules, Leighton, Melissa, Doreen (the hardest working waitress on the island), and Nicole made it fun. There one supervisor Kerry worked so hard picking up glasses, getting drinks and smiling. I told him he was the hardest working supervisor on the island. We got dressed up and ate at the buffet every night. I like sitting outside, hearing the ocean, seeing the palm trees. When we would go in, we would see the food presented like no where else. The islands best Chef’s Patrick, Isaiah and Jermaine would have the islands best food. I like shrimp, lobster, crab legs split, we had it all. We had lunch at the steakhouse because of how open it was. The cheese burgers we had could not be beaten. The service by, Alecia, Nadine, Clifford, Brandese, Renae, Gavin was top notch. The entertainment team was also very good with OMG, Peaches, Suzie, Carlos and Ki Ki. They talked to us every day on the beach. We came to relax and they understood why we played no games. The live music (from 7:30 to 9:30) in the coffee bar was good. They did not have entertainment all nights. The property was spotless and always being cleaned with workers likes Orlando who never stopped working or smiling. The beach was kept cleaned and raked every day. I had a lot of fun with the valets everyday. When my buddy Dale the valet came back from vacation we laughed and hugged like bros. I go to Jamaica because of the music and the people. We left the resort in the day time a few times and did not feel threatened. We met many who travelled like before, going to swim with dolfins, Rick’s Café, Dunn’s Falls and so on. Fun Holiday Beach Resort: Amazing

Small resort but good in the middle of all the action would go back again the food was good and the rooms where clean booze was not good no name stuff tasted like crap need to improve staff was good location is the seller

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Fantastic!

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Royal Decameron Cornwall. Pictures and videos online rarely if ever do the real life experience any justice, and it definitely held true this time around. The beach, rooms, food, staff service etc. all exceeded my expectations. Great trip.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Great Resort

We had a wonderful stay at the Royalton Negril, was a little disappointed that when I indicated to both Sunwing and the Royalton that we had a Birthday and we where returning guests that nothing was even acknowledged after that. The room was beautiful we had the Presidential Suite. The bartenders where amazing. Bevan at the martini bar was very attentive and a pleasure to meet. The grounds are beautiful. Food was also very good, with Calypso being our favorite.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Adequate Resort

A vacation can never be bad when you are in Jamaica with good friends. That being said we will not return to this resort for a few reasons. The beach areas were too spread out and much too rocky. The hotel and grounds need some maintenance. The pool and beach washrooms are not cleaned or stocked well. The carpet in the hallways was disgusting and should be replace with tile. This may help keep down the cockroaches. The elevators had a most unpleasant smell, all the time. Our room was always ke [... read more]pt up nicely and they stocked the mini fridge with our preferences. Buffets had plenty of variety and service was good in all but one "a la carte" restaurant . Bar staff in the main areas were excellent but the pool bar was very slow.

Riu Montego Bay: updating required

Recently came back from staying at this location for a week, for the money paid I think some attention in updating the rooms are required, original room was dark and musty smelling, upgraded (for a fee) to ocean view, very large balcony but only two plastic chairs, would have loved lounger chairs or even a hammock would have made a huge difference. Pool was very large and clean, food in the specialty restaurants were average, great selection in the buffet, employees were fabulous. Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Great Resort-Amazing Staff

This was my second trip to the Decameron Cornwall Beach. I love that it is a small resort. Not a complaint in the world about the room, the beach, the pool, the food and the bars. What will bring me back to this resort again is the absolutely amazing staff! They are all friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you are looked after and have everything you need. Riu Montego Bay: Family Trip - 2018

Took the family on vacation to the RIU Montego Bay. There were four of us, my hubby and I, and our 2 daughters. We arrived on Friday evening and check in was super quick and easy. we were given 2 rooms side by side, in building 4. Initially we thought "Wow, what a long walk, but it wasnt'.. not at all." and the walk is what you need after a big meal at the buffet or restaurants. Rooms were clean..dated, but the only thing that really matters is that it is clean and it was. Spoke to front desk, and they offered to move us, and showed us a number of different room options but in the end, we just stayed where we were, and they "padded" our beds.. which was fine, and definitely made it more comfortable. But they were certainly willing to accommodate us. Food was good. Chop Chop serving up the Jerk chicken on the beach was SOOO GOOD! Steak house was good, Italian and Asian okay. Buffet was good, but with most all inclusives, it is often the sames choices nightly, that can get boring. The grounds are beautiful.. beach is small, but I think big enough for everyone to enjoy. Water is calm, so nice for families with smaller children. The pools are gorgeous, with lots of awesome seating in the pool bar area. This resort is close to the airport, bonus when you are travelling to and from, but when you are relaxing by the pool, the planes are loud, like really loud. Not much you can do about it, but it can be distracting. Smoking is only allowed in certain areas, so not sure if you are a smoker if this is for you.. (I am not, so I was quite fine with it!) There were a couple days where chairs around the pool were difficult to come by.. but it always worked out, even if you had to drag them from another spot. The staff are awesome.. all of them, the grounds staff, wait staff, bartenders, front desk, everyone is welcoming and kind and helpful. And the entertainment team.. they work hard, and do a good job. Nothing to do with the resort, but we had spectacular weather.. EVERY DAY! That is a definite first for me on a vacation.. that was delightful! All in all, I can't say I was over the top about it, but I can't say I was disappointed either. Many people we met at this resort were return visitors, and that tells me that they must be pretty consistent in how they do things there.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Perfect Vacation Spot

This hotel was recommended by our travel agent and it was such a great choice! Everything was so organized from the airport transportation to everything at the hotel. We were welcomed right away from our air canada representatives leading ya to our shuttle. As soon as we got to the hotel we were greeted by the facalty. During our orientation when everything was explained to us, our luggage were brought to our rooms followed by us being shown where we would be staying. The room was absolutely stu [... read more]nning and very clean. I love how we had a balcony although I do wish we had a better view from our room as it was a dirt road. Also, we also recommended to be near the a la carte restaurants which we weren’t but that’s okay! The a la carte food was amazing! Our favourite had to be the Don Pablo with great service and outstanding food! The emtertainment crew was very friendly getting ya involved in dancing and pool volleyball and the night entertainment was fantastic. We enjoyed the beach party the most!! Overall, a fantastic vacation together we would definitely recommend this place to others and we would definitely go back as well! My only suggestion to others attending the luxury side is to explore the grand side as well as there is so much to do and see! We realized later in our trip how big the resorts are and the beach on the grand side is nicer than the luxury side one as that one apparently is man made but still beautiful!

It's a beautiful resort. Very nice rooms. Food was good but average. Drinks were great. Bars on Luxury side closed at 11 pm...way to early! There wasn't too much to do in the evenings. Very quiet. Housekeeping was ok but 5 out of 10 days they would take the face cloths and not replace them. They only had one restaurant that you didn't need a reservation. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Awesome Resort

This resort was beautiful. We had such an amazing week here. The staff were all very friendly and outgoing. They all made us feel at home. Lots of activities for everyone. Looking forward to returning next year.

Hotel was fabulous, staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Amazing food and Cool Running excursion to Dunns River Falls was crazy good ! No issues booking a la carte restaurants. Rooms were very spacious and clean. At no time did I not feel unsafe in the resort.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Fantastic spot and hotel

We have absolutely no complaints. The hotel, grounds beach food and staff are unbelievable. The weather during our visit was a steady 87c with only an occasional spotty cloud . Great for tanning. Montego Bay is a friendly area with everyone willing to make your stay more enjoyable. We would return in a wink.

This resort is by far my favourite right now. They make you feel at home and the amenities throughout the resort are amazing. Weather it's the 24 hour room service the servers saving you from having to go to bar on the beach or the water toys you can borrow it's amazing.

Sandals Dunn's River: Very Good Adults Only Resort

Pros: Very friendly accommodating staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Excellent food with good variety. No long waits for seating Bar drinks were good with lots of choices Entertainment was acceptable. As this isn't a large resort we found we were able to connect better with the staff and enjoy the amenities without long waits for service. Cons: Beach is small but due to the smaller size of the resort we were always able to get lounge chairs and prompt service from the waiters. Resort a [... read more]dvertises a pitch & put 9 hole golf course. This is a joke as it doesn't look like it's been maintained properly since Sandals moved on 10 years ago! Its basically a lawn with overgrown greens and weedy sand-less bunkers, not playable.
