Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Deceptive Advertising

The main reason we chose this resort was the promise is 12 alacart restaurants. Within moments of checking in we went to the consierg to make dinner reservations. Four of our most desirable choices were completely unavailable. Most of the remaining choices were only available at 9:30 pm. We felt completely mislead by advertising.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing as always

The grounds were great and service as always. Maid service was lacking this year and replenishment of items to our room and we are not difficult people just nice to have a coffee in the morning, Akumel is where we tend to spend all our time as it's not so quiet. Food as always is very nice and they are so attentive. We always get the penthouse suite for the tub but it didn't work well the jets didn't so we just didn't use it as much as we have in the pass. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Five star first rate

Very clean property. Friendly staff. Great food. Very large resort. Not the best beach. Very busy. Lots of seaweed. Good entertainment. Large clean rooms. Needs more food available after hours. Pools awesome. Foam party a blast!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful Resort

We loved our stay at the Bahia Principe Esmeralda. The grounds are spectacular. The beach is amazing. Our room was spacious with a balcony. We enjoyed the food and the specialty drinks. I think couples and families would equally enjoy this resort as it has something for everyone. Looking forward to our next visit to Bahia Principe Esmeralda!!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Excellent

This resort was excellent! Amazing services, staff, entertainment, beautiful views and extremely clean. I would definitely recommend this resort to others. I loved that it is especially family friendly. I would love to go back!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful

The resort was very beautiful and the food was great. The shows were entertaining and our favourite was the circus. My only concern was it being over crowded due to the amount of resorts at the Bahia Principe. The beach was shared and couldn’t find chairs for two, when we were getting up at 730am. One time our beach chair and towel were stolen when we went to get food at the pool restaurant. The towel place said it was my responsibility and it would cost $10. Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Fantastic trip!

Was a great resort. Check in was a bit different, at first it was cool that you didn’t have to stand in line, but it was 250pm and check in is at 3pm so we had to wait 10 mins to get keys, even though he had them in hand. When the 10 mins were up, they guy was gone and we had to stand in line for a good while :(. However, it wasn’t terrible, just odd. Was a really really great resort! Buffet was huge with LOtS of selections of food! Ala carts were delicious, not sure on the Japanese as we didn’t make it there. Overall I had an amazing vacation! I highly recommend two excursions: dune buggies through the mountains and snorkelling off the resort. Both are only half days and they were AMAZING!!! Dominican is a beautiful country!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Excellent resort but housekeeping sucked

The place was larger than I had expected and someone was always cleaning or painting. The grounds were well kept and the people were very friendly. I enjoyed the food and the restaurants very much. The only complaint I have is the housekeeping staff. The first day, someone was watching TV propped up on 3 pillows on one of the beds and seemed to have left in a hurry without finishing cleaning the room. Another day, they took the face clothes off the sink and didn't have any to replace them.T [... read more]hey are only supposed to take what you leave on the floor. When I asked for face clothes they sent me bath towels instead. I complained and was told all face clothes were in the wash. We went 2 days without face clothes so we had to use bath towels to wash our face. Another day, they left only decaf coffee in the room. I want regular coffee in the morning. On the last day, when we returned to our room at 5 pm, it still wasn't made up. It took 4 phone calls before someone finally came in and the room was cleaned by 7:15 pm.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great resort

Excellent hospitality and organization of the place. Very clean. Little too big but the way we were treated made us forget how far the places were. Beach area crowded but well maintained. Not much bad to say about this resort

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Immaculate grounds. Crowded beach

The resort grounds didn’t have a shred of garbage anywhere. It was a really clean place and I really like the food they serve at the buffets. The al a carts are great food also and I highly recommend the Dominican resteraunt. The beaches were so crowded. Even getting to the beach for 7 in the morning the chairs were already taken. We were always able to find spots for the entire group. With the development of a couple resorts on site it’s really gotten crowded in the beach. I would still go back.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Grand Bahia Principe San Juan... perfect

This resort was fantastic. The grounds were immaculate, the food was terrific with a huge variety. Try the crepes with chocolate sauce! Roast beef, turkey, pork... and fish to die for. Great place for all ages from kids to the older folks. Service and staff were friendly and helpful. The resort was not huge which was nice. No trolleys needed. Pools were clean and the drinks... try the coco loco! I'm going back in the fall for sure.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Another beautiful Grand Baha'i resort!

The grand Bahai Tull was great. We were very close to the beach. The beach area at our end of the resort was nice, only two palapa so deep. The swimming is a little precarious as there's a coral reef which the coral washes up from and some large rocks in the shallow areas but if you snorkel then the reef is amazing. Little fish, big fish, sting rays and little sharks!! Bring beach shoes and your floating device and you've got it made. The staff cleaned the beach daily. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: AMAZING RESORT, SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.

We had a great time at this resort, rooms were very nice, staff was super, food was good, and so was the entertainment. They keep this hotel spotless, the landscaping is also so beautifully taken care of. Would definitely come back and highly recommend this resort

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing getaway!

We found the hotel was very clean, staff were amazing and the grounds were beautiful. The rooms were well laid out and the beds comfortable. Having the room restocked each day made for a relaxed stay. The evening entertainment was fun and the music made you get up and dance. Can’t wait to see you again!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing Resort

I loved everything. The food was excellent. The people were great which makes a huge difference in the stay. The beaches were fantastic. Everywhere was clean and well kept. The rooms were comfortable. Room service was a bit of a problem. Our room was not booked correctly so we had to change rooms the next night. From there on we had housekeeping issues. Air Transact was great. We had a great flight there and back and the airline representatives were very plesant and informative

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Fantastic service!

The resort as whole, the grounds, pools, beach, eating areas etc, were the cleanest I have ever seen at a resort. The service was also the best I have ever seen. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this resort to others. I believe that the excellent staff, everyone from the bar to the grounds keepers to the cooks, deserve to be commended for their hard work and dedication.

the hotel and grounds are still wonderful.......this was our 3rd time going to this resort.......but this time we were a little let down.......we return to this resort because we remembered how friendly and jovial the staff were.........this time was different.....the waiters and waitresses were to busy interacting with each other and being on their cell phones......in 2 weeks less than 5 employees approached us to ask how our stay was.......the resort in my opinion has grown too big too fast an [... read more]d they took all their well trained staff off the older resorts and put them in the new ones.......it was very difficult the get the attention of waitresses in buffet restaurants and lobby bar and when you did manage to get their attention it was difficult to communicate with them because most of them only spoke spanish and did not understand any french or english........another big thing that made it less than enjoyable was the day we got there we had to wait until 5 pm for our room to be ready......once in the room the a/c was not working and was dripping on floor, wrong instructions to the safe deposit box were given to us and we only had one broken plastic chair on the patio.....these problems were rectified within an hour but it was still and inconvenience.......when we got there they invited us to go eat at the buffet (around 3 pm) the cold foods were warm and wilted and the hot foods were cold and dry..........quite a few times in 2 weeks our room was not done by 4:30 pm forcing us to tell maid not to bother since we were getting ready for dinner (our chamber maid was fantastic though)........we had to defrost our own mini fridge since it was only keeping thing barely cooler than room temperature (we asked but no one understood our request)

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Disappointing

Well the resort is big..thats the only good thing about it..food at buffet is too repetitive..we got the same food all 7 days of stay..no change in menu at all..service was also very poor..the front desk people were not at all welcoming and accommodating..beaches were full of sea weeds..disappointing experience overall..

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Beautiful Resort

The restaurants and food were exceptional! The grounds of the hotel is beautiful, feels like your staying in the rainforest. Good for older couples looking to relax, trolley ride to the beach which is about 10-15 minutes away

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Huge, busy resort

This was our second time at this resort. We stayed in Turquesa section 2 years ago. The rooms are basic but spacious. The resort has 7 hotels combined into one huge complex, divided by luxury level. The food is great and the grounds well kept. This time we struggled for beach chairs and found it frustrating. We stayed in the Punta Cana block, with Air Transat's Royal Golden option, so our block was building 20, closest to beach. No private beach area with chair service! I have a disability which I told him about but he booked us on an adventure tour which we did not want, nor could I do elements of.
