Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Amazing Resort!
A beautiful and amazing resort! The hotel itself is beautiful and kept immaculate by a staff that is always cleaning. The staff is very friendly. The buffets were amazing and the selections were so abundant it was overwhelming both at breakfast and dinner times. The specialty restaurants were good though you need to be there for 6:30pm or you will need to wait hour+ for next availability. Service top-notch - except for two times when drink order was forgotten. We loved relaxing upstairs at t [... read more]
Riu Guanacaste: Riu Guanacaste review
Overall a nice resort. I would recommend it to others. Pros - Great resort, clean, lots of food and drinks. The animation team was good, better than some we have seen in the Dominican. Pool was good Cons - Awful pillows in the rooms, beach is not great, rocky, food was just ok for flavour, some spice. Far away from things if you wanted to go on excursions.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: quiet resort
small hotel.easy to navigate. unfortunately no lobby bar..only bar was in the disco. no gift shop in hotel, only one across the street which closed at 9ish.. food was really good and hotel was clean!

Riu Merengue: Alright but not best
Well we enjoyed some things at resort however there my main concern was the staff at reception found them not helpful at all, very rude and when asked to get something would take hours and hours for them to bother, had to keep calling and they still wouldn’t help us. The maid also, we had lizards in our room and she wouldn’t kill them just sprayed and left. To get another room was a lot of effort basically had to camp out at reception to get their attention. We also had cockroaches in sec [... read more]
Riu Emerald Bay: Awesome Experience
The Riu Emerald Bay is a beautiful resort. It is immaculate and well maintained hotel that leaves a very good first impression. We cannot think of anything negative to say about the place, save that they choose to serve Pepsi Cola which is my husband`s least favourite soda. We met many repeat customers during our stay and now we know why. The food was exceptional, the drinks were amazing, the beach is beautiful and service is first rate and always friendly. We will definitely consider retur [... read more]
Riu Republica: Awesome Vacation
This is our 3rd time at this resort. It is very clean and spacious. The food was good and drinks as well. Plenty of options for both. As for the pools many options quiet , party pool and many activities. Hotel animators are very good as well especially Blondy69 and Manta. Sad not seeing Chanty because she always made you feel good and got you going. Beach is beautiful and clean as well. No complaints at all. Will go again for sure!!!
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great location and impeccable service
I was worried when I read the pre renovation reviews that this place may not have been for us. The service from the staff and people in general in the Bahamas was the best we have received in any of the Caribbean countries we have been to. From cleaning to wait staff and staff off site during our excursions and taxi drivers. The hotel is beautiful. Food was great. Pool and beach were great as well. You did have to wait in line at supper for specialty restaurants. We waited 20-45 mins on [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: Excellent resort!
From the stunning courtyard, fabulous food, clean rooms, friendly and efficient staff, beautiful pools, and uncrowded / breathtaking beach, I will recommend this resort over and over as well as visit again myself. Never have I had reception call (with perfect English) the room to make sure everything is to my liking, and again to follow up on a delivery request to confirm it arrived and was to my liking. 5 stars +++. Well done, Jalisco!
Riu Emerald Bay: Great resort
Everything was Good except the elevators were VERY slow xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Riu Palace Antillas: So Relaxing
We had an amazing hotel. Friendly staff and great service. The resort is a little tired and could use a refresh! There are no reservations for dinner so that took a night to figure out. We enjoyed the entertainment. Book with the hotel or your tour guide for off resort excursions. The beach vendors may be cheaper, but trust me there is a reason.
Riu Merengue: Very nice resort
Beautiful grounds, very lush. Lots of food choices. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Grounds, public restrooms and restaurants meticulously cleaned. Beautiful pools. Just two negative points: We did not have hot water most of the time and there was quite a bit of mold on the bathroom ceiling; the bathroom fan did not work. Lots of shelter on the beach but the sea was rough and red flagged every day. There was a noticeable musty smell to the room. But otherwise a very enjoyable trip.
Riu Flamingos: Great vacation
This resort was picturesque, beautifully kept grounds, clean. Food and drinks were very good. The Spanish coffees at the main buffet were amazing, as was the service. The beachfront was quite large with a great view of the mountains. The fridge in the room was always stocked with water, beer and pop which was a nice feature. The only issue we had was our ground floor room had a terrible smell at times (sewage) that seemed to be coming through the ventilation system so we would have to leave the [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great Time Lovely Resort
this was our 3rd time at the Riu, first time since the Reno's, they have done a great job clean clean clean, food was very good, Steak house was not our favorite everything over cooked potato wedges were the best . Loved the India Restaurant , not to spicey so go for anyone just trying India for first time. Buffet had great assortment of food, Pools were little cold but Great pool bar, ALL STAFF WERE AMAZING
Riu Merengue: Definitely going back

The staff was amazing.I loved that we could meander to the bachata resort also.We can't wait to go back. The night shows were amazing the costumes were fantastic. The rooms were immaculate..The balcony was spacious .All in all we had an amazing time.
Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: sold resort
The hotel has been sold. The new owners seem to have good ideas and experience. Time will tell when they actually take over. The food was ok (not great). Hotel was quite old but in good repair. The beach was very rocky and had a red flag for the two weeks .Our departure day we had a power failure no lights or a/c. There was no PA system to keep us informed. Manuella had us in a junior suite but the building was the furthest from all facilities and the room was on the second floor. Pretty [... read more]
Riu Palace Antillas: Awesome Experience
Everything from service, food, location, entertainment options was top notch. We will definitely return to the Riu Palace Antillas. It is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants and is a very safe island.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: A Wonderful Couples Resort
A very beautifully and clean resort to stay for our my wife and I second vacation since being married... I loved that the staff greeted us with sample drinks upon our arrival. The check in process was fast, friendly and received our room keys within 5 mins despite the long line. Lobby: clean brightly lit and spacious with a nice ambiance, to let you know this will be a very relaxing place to be off the bat. Elevator service was great at off peak hours meaning...after 10am and late nights... [... read more]
Riu Palace Costa Rica: Going back FA SHO!!!!
The RIU Palace was excellent. The service and staff were all very friendly. The room was very nice and housekeeping was always on top of things. The whole resort was well kept. Lots of space and seating at the pool. No shortage of people offering drinks. The food was great. Lots of selection. Only went to one a la cart and was not disappointed. Our zip lining excursion was a fun experience. The tour guides at the zip line were a good group. Friendly and fun. We are already talking about our next [... read more]
