Melia Peninsula Varadero: Fantastic resort

The staff were all fantastic, the grounds well cared for and the beach amazing. Not overcrowded easy to get around the resort. We felt as though our trip was important to them. Exceeded my expectations for Cuba by far. The food was not my favorite in the Caribbean, but we always found something to eat we certainly did not go hungry. I went to Cuba saying it would be a one time only trip, I would definitely return.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Fantastic time at the Melia Peninsula Varadero

Great place, especially our waitress at the buffet. Maria was always attentive and so sweet. Water was plentiful despite other online reviews. Rooms were good. Food was plentiful. Check in /lobby desk was frustrating, they didn't understand some of the questions and requests as well as other staff but overall we didn't have too much trouble. Customer service office and phone office were only sporadically staffed which was tested our patience but being on holidays we tried to take it all  [... read more]in stride and plan ahead. Iberostar Origin Tainos: Quiet resort

The resort was very clean and friendly. It was pretty quiet, not a lot going on and not very large. The rooms were alright but nothing to get excited about. In typical cuban fashion the food wasn't great. The buffet was very bland. The specialty reastraunts were decent. The pool was not very big and there was no swim up bar, and no hot tub

Playa Vista Azul: WAS OK

Rooms were nice, our maid was very warm and welcoming Lobby was very nicely laid out, great view of ocean, infinity pool was very picturesque Lobby bar was good although their tropical drinks all tasted the same Their was a maid there that was awesome, with the entertainment in the lobby she danced and what moves she had, everyone was in awe of her. Muthu Playa Varadero: Very Nice Ressort, Nice Pool, Nice Rooms and closer to Beach+++++

About meals: I don't eat pork and the absolute majority of meals contain Pork, even white rice and corn salad. I noticed at the BBQ where we can eat grilled fish but the person who prepares the grilling uses the same tongs to grill the pork and the fish. Which makes me can't even eat grilled fish because it is contaminated with pork. We must also leave the choice to people who do not eat pork to find what to eat. Club Karey: You get what you pay for

This was the cheapest all inclusive available on the site. That said, lower your standards but still have a good time. Be cautious, staff can be creepy and not all rooms lock. Beach is beautiful though.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Very Nice Ressort

Very Nice Hotel With a nice Pool and very close to a nice beach. People are very frendly and give us nice service, BBQ NEAR THE BEACH. Every day several activities, The service was very good. I recommend highly Muthu Playa Varadero

Punta Peninsula Varadero: First timers

Being our first experience staying at a resort we were a little dissatisfied with some things. It was affordable and easy to navigate in terms of travelling. The beach was beautiful and the people very much accommodating. I must say though the food was boring and after 4 days we wanted something different. The room was very damp and the back door was broken . The tv didn’t work nor did the shower head. Just little things but we just enjoyed what we had and got some tanning and swimming in.  [... read more] All in all I would give it a 6 out of 10 I guess.

Melia Las Americas: Great resort

First time in Cuba and my friends have been there before. Entertainment, people and food was good. Service exceptional! My only recommendation is to have larger patio outside of lobby. It was normally full at night because of wonderful violinists that would play. Would be great if more outdoor night time seating in general. But otherwise, I'd go back again, for sure!

Playa Caleta: Loved the location

This resort in my opinion is low key, at the right price it is a bargain, the staff are very nice and friendly, it is very clean, the food was lacking, butter, potatoes, milk at times, veg, having said that you wont starve, when we go to cuba this is what we expect in any resort... Toilet paper bring your own they do have in the rooms, but will need it for the washrooms or make sure you take some from your room. There is not a no smoking policy I personally found that a problem, ending up with [... read more] sore throat puntarena was one big cloud of smoke I went to the caleta because I was told they had no smoking at the bar, there was singns on the table but people still smoked and no one told them not to. In conclusion its a fun place if they can get the smoking under control I would definatly go back.

Club Karey: NOTHING I EXPECTED

Before coming to this resort I was honestly expecting to not have the best time due to the horrible reviews that I read. When I arrived is 1 million times better than I could ever have expected my friends and I got entire house on the beach to ourselves with separate rooms a huge balcony on the top floor and main floor that was steps away from the beach. There is activities going on throughout the day like dancing live music and games magic shows another exciting stuff to keep you busy and entertained at the resort by the pool. the bar was free 24 seven which was amazing and the staff are literally so nice I’m a teenager and went with my friends and we had an amazing experience with this staff. The house our room was and was honestly beautiful and spacious the only thing that makes the resort a little cheap is that there are some repairs that need to be done that they do not do such as shaky or hard to open door knobs; but the doors are very secure, none the less and your stuff is safe in your room. but do not leave things outside of your room as one pair of my shoes got stolen that I foolishly left outside my locked door. Anyway I had such an amazing time and for spending such that amount of money I did I wish I could return here every month everyone was so pleasant and enjoying their time it was so relaxing and I was so happy with my experience. YOU MUST TRAVEL TO CLUB KAREY IN VARADERO CUBA ITS AMAZING AND I WILL BE BACK. TY GUYS BUT YOU COULDA LOWED ME MY SHOES!! :)

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Beautiful beaches!

The resort is nice with great potential . It seems there is a septic problem, sewage goes into the ground and is bubbling up in some places. The smell is bad and is attracting mosquitos. Maybe it needs pumping out? This was my main concern.

Playa Vista Azul: Good price but dirty

The resorts location is good. The beaches are beautiful but resort is dirty..stains on sheets and blankets.no change of towels. The floors in rooms are dirty grout is blackened with dirt .I don't think they have cleaning supplies and detergents to clean floors and linen properly. They use a dirty towel to mopfloors. Spotted bugs at buffet light brown.

Melia Varadero: Loved it!

The beach is amazing, and the rooms are comfortable. The buffet was huge and even a picky eater can find something to eat. The a la cart restaurants are amazing! Our favourites were the international and the Italian. Christobal at the piano bar makes the most AMAZING mojitos. We will definitely go back.

Paradisus Varadero: Great location

Very nice resort; some things need improvement, but their staff is willing to do whatever they can to make our stay enjoyable. I would mention Jonathan from customer service and Dennis from the main restaurant.

Melia Internacional: Great resort

Great modern hotel ..amazing entertainment. Amazing beach. Wish there was a disco on the premises. Great food for cuba..so many good things that I would have loved to have finished eating except way too much salt. CUBAN resorts need to work on the food . Overall a great week

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Cuba a beautiful gem of a resort. A royal paradise beside the ocean

Paradisus Princessa del Mar it was our 3rd time there. Its still our favorite in all of Cuba. You can eat off the floor basically everywhere. We had the juniour Royal suite. I think it was just built. Very clean and well maintained. This time the food was excellent!! Lobster and scampi's was served 4 times in less than a week. Shrimp practically every day. All the staff was EXTREMELY polite and went out of there way to serve us. The waitresses in Mira Mar restaurant were great and anti [... read more]cipated our needs. The manager when it was busy help serve keeping all the staff up to speed. I actually gained 3 kg. Royal service is a worthwhile upgrade. Maids did their job sometimes changing the sheets 2x a day. Thank you senorita ! Next time I will try the Jeep tour. Spoke with some people and they loved it Negative: My wife got bit by a few mosquitoes and needed benadryl. But that happens every time. ( I think shes allergic ) Im going back

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Ocean veradero El Patriarca

The resort itself is very nice with nice rooms and excellent grounds. They still have a problem with insufficient towels, which has been a problem with them for years. They are a little lax with the stocking of fridges and the room cleaning is hit and miss. The food is satisfactory.

Playa Caleta: Good Resort

The staff were great. The rooms, showed their age but were clean and comfortable. The grounds were ok but there were a lot of cigaret buts. The food was ok considering what we paid. Mike was very helpful in giving us information. Thanks Mike. My only complaint is, on the bus ride to the airport the student who was telling everyone what was happening said because Cuba was getting a new currency next year we had to spend all our Cuban money. We could not spend it in the Duty Free. We could excha [... read more]nge at par at the bank, which meant we would loose 32%. Rather than stand in a long line at the bank we exchanged our money with guys who were waiting as soon as we got off the bus. We lost $64 and could not purchase everything we had planned on buying. Of course it was a shame. We also heard that passengers on other buses heard the same thing and like us were upset.
