Playa Los Arcos: Best Location in PV

Basic 3* but clean and friendly in the best location in PV. Food is adequate - most meat/fish dishes are stewed - little grilled meat and no bacon. The guacamole dip at the snack bar is excellent. Fish on a stick on the beach is excellent. The leather chairs throughout the resort are very comfortable when well padded but few pass the test. The nightly entertainment is good but competes with the sound of the water fall. The children in the pool and the water fall are very loud so I would suggest  [... read more]closing the water fall at 4 or 5pm. I was disappointed to have missed every aquafitness class and would have like it announced on the beach.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Fiesta Americana 2014

Excellent hotel with excellent service from concierge to waiters and staff. There was a very good variety of foods and they were most accommodating to cook up our catch from our fishing trip and they did an excellent job. We were very pleased with the whole experience.

Royal Suites Punta Mita: Beautiful Location/Good Service

This was our second stay at the Royal Suites, and, once again, we were very impressed by the beautiful location. The resort is a nice quiet retreat during the week, but many locals arrived for weddings on the weekend and we found the rooms to be far from sound-proof with people partying all around us. The Royal Suites needs to show zero tolerance for rowdy behaviour both in the rooms and at the pool. The food and service was good, but some of the rooms are in desperate need of an update.

Riu Vallarta: R&R @ RIU Vallarta

It is hard to explain in 200 words or less! Arrival, for some reason the staff anticipated our arrival and surprised us. The surprise was we usually take a cab and no one to my knowledge new we were coming-SURPRISE!! so FANTASTIC!! ROOM, I think the rooms do need some updating although clean and fresh everyday 2 twin beds together to make a King bed was really not great, also the bed itself very hard, just want you to know, not a big deal but we do like comfort. Fridge stocked well although we u [... read more]sed the water and club soda up everyday and found out they only came to the room every other day so we needed to remind front desk and they took care of it. FOOD It was fabulous no complaints! An update on decor maybe could be looked at. BEACH This is where we like to be. Clean and well maintained. If you had more service on the beach it would be great. The one person that worked the beach did a fantastic Job, made sure we had water and drinks for part of the day-thanks All in All a great week or so at your HOTEL, WE WILL BE BACK! Riu Flamingos: Amazing Resort

I stayed for 1 week at the Riu Jalisco. I had a amazing time. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The food the atmosphere , the food, the location and the weather was amazing. I am planning my next trip to the same location with my family.

Plaza Pelicanos Club: Good resort

Good resort if you are single and enjoy the city life, can be noisy at times, the food is average, good value for the money, the staff was very helpful, the people in the city were wonderful, the rooms are clean and comfortable

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Bang for your buck

For the price it was great. The service is outstanding. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food at the buffet was good. If you are fussy, you may not care for it that much, We ate at the a la carte restaurants a couple time and they were good.. The weekend was very busy with families but during the week was quiet. The room was ok. It is not a 5 star room We had a Jr suite, and the hide a bed was not very comfy. The bathroom could use redoing. Crown Paradise Golden: ADULTS ONLY ROCKS!!

If you're looking for a laid back, relaxing and casual holiday this is the resort for you. Great service, good restaurants and 7/24 room service make this a good choice for a reasonable cost. Only negatives are the buffet ( menu is much better ) and not much in the way of entertainment or night life unless you go to the disco across the street.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Friendly vallarta

I was not happy at all with the hotel, it is an all inclusive and there was nothing to do for adults. The bar was not even a bar and did not have anyone tending it until the evening. The was no entertainment at all in the evening. It is like a 3 star for young families as everything seems to shut down after dinner. I would not recommend this resort to anyone that wants to experience Mexico at all. There was not even a mini bar/fridge at this resort

Riu Vallarta: Great vacation and good value for the money

Excellent resort, great value and good access to everything. Clean well ran resort and most accommodating. Staff very friendly (especially Isreal) always pleasant smiling. The staff really value tourists and make they trip worthwhile I would highly recommend this resort in a heartbeat. Great 11 day stay at Riu Vallarta

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Buenaventura Hotel

We have been to Buenaventura several times and can't imagine any improvement is needed in the service, hospitality, food-presentation, grounds-keeping, location and happy staff, the welcome is so warm and we feel like family, many of the staff have been there for several years. I just love this hotel and plan another trip there very soon--we are 81/83 yrs.

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Great Resort!

I really enjoyed my trip to Buenaventura, Puerto Vallarta. The location is 5 star, walking distance to downtown and located on the beach. The grounds and beach are kept exceptionally clean, and the staff at the hotel, particularly the servers and bartenders are fantastic. The food was super and up to cruise quality in the Ala Carte restaurants. The beach restaurant open at lunch time was good food with lots of variety. Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Amazing !!!

Amazing resort right from the time you check in. We upgraded our room to ocean front - was worth every cent. The facility is beautiful and the views amazing. everything was very clean - rooms and facility. As far as food - our culinary experience was exceptional - buffets and the al a cartes. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Riu Palace Pacifico: Fabulousoooo!!!!

Walking in the resort we knew we had made the right decision!!! It is immaculate clean and beautiful. The rooms are a nice size and the Food is fantastic!! I have been to many Riu Resorts and this one is Top of my list. They can not do enough for you we were treated like Princesses for one whole week (hard to come home after that)lol. The pool and pool bar are fun and if you just want to relax you have the option of the beautiful beach area or one side of the pool. This is the FIRST RESORT I hav [... read more]e been to where the Manager is hands on always walking around interacting and making sure the guest are taken care of (not hiding in the back in some office) and because of this it shows a big difference in the way you are taken care of. We had the best time ever it was our GIRLS yearly vacation away and we all agreed we would go back in a heartbeat !!!! I can not say enough good things about this resort. We went into Puerto Vallarta a couple times and felt very very safe the people always Thanked us for visiting PV and even the security at the Airport Thanked us for visiting..... Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Staff are the best in Puerto Vallarta!!

We stayed her for a week at the end of October on a girls trip. This is a smaller resort, and could you some more updating. Upon check in our room was dirty, we cleaned it ourselves before unpacking. The rooms are very basic, no fridge or microwave, but has a safe, and free wifi which was a pleasant surprise. They have one buffet, a snack bar and an al a carte. The buffet didn't have alot of variety, for breakfast the egg station was a favorite with us. The al la cartes however were amazing, foo [... read more]d was delicous, presentation was amazing, and the staff gave the best service. The staff are what make this resort worth coming back too, they all new are names by the 2nd day, and would go out of there way to gives us great service. The bartenders make some pretty tasty drinks too! Another bonus to this resort is its location, its very central, a short walk to a mall, walmart, the maritime marina, and a quick taxi ride to the boardwalk.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Puerto Vallarta.This is a great place for a family vacation.The staff were great. The food was good and Sue, the lady who is in charge of the kids club was great. I have only positive thing to say about the Holiday Inn in Puerto Vallarta.

Riu Vallarta: Opulent

Everything was absolutely beautiful. It could not have been better. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great Value

Pro's- awesome beach, the buffet and a la cartes were great, service was excellent Con's- no room service or food available between 5&6pm or after 1am, no in-room mini fridge or shower amenities, use keys instead of cards so if you lose your room key you have to pay $40US to get locks changed and another key All in all, you get what you pay for. We got a great deal and had a great time! We stayed the last two nights at a different resort because Decameron was over booked, but we offered to do so [... read more] and it was nice to have a change, like 2 vacations in 1! The new hotel (a 4 star apparently) had the amenities and services Decameron didn't (24 hour room service) but the service at Decameron was much better!! The ocean and beach area for swimming, and the A/C in the room at Decameron were missed a great deal when we were at the other hotel. So turns out the amenities we thought we missed, wouldn't have been worth the extra few hundred dollars had we booked somewhere else. I would return to Decameron

Riu Vallarta: Great Trip, Awesome Staff!

Just got home from a week at the Riu Vallarta and had a wonderful time! The Grounds and public area are very clean and well kept, the rooms were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the buffet, they had a wide variety of foods to choose from, the cooks and service staff were incredible they remembered my daughter by name after the first day and always took time to say hello to her and give her a nice complement. We enjoyed the buffet so much we didn't bother booking reservations at any of the ot [... read more]her restaurants. The Entertainment and activities team was also fantastic. I was starting to wonder if they ever had a break, you would see them by the pools getting games together in the morning and afternoon, then up on stage dancing with the kids until 10pm. They always had a smile on their faces and made my 3 year old feel comfortable enough to go and dance on stage even though she is super shy normally! We went only went on one excursion which was the city tour, I really enjoyed it although bug repellant is advised as the mosquitos were our in full force. We also had access to the other two Riu hotels nearby, the Riu Jalisco was less than a 5 min walk down the beach and was very nice as well, pool area was totally different that the Vallarta so it was a nice change of scenery. Overall wonderful vacation, cannot wait until my next visit!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great stay

I loved the grounds and the staff were amazing!!! The room was dated and in need of a overhaul but I really wasn't there to spend time in the room. When I was in the room however, ceiling fan squeaked so badly we had to turn it off the A/C barely cooled the room, I didn't sleep with covers the whole week which worked out ok so I could pad the rock hard bed with the duvet that was supposed to be my blanket. The food was plentiful and varied, they had several different dining locations all within  [... read more]a few minutes walk each having different special stations with people preparing things as you ordered ie. Omelette station for breakfast or an oven toasted deli sandwich station at lunch etc. They have great reservation only restaurant locations for dinner only which we could only get a reservation on one night since they start taking reservations at 8 am in person and get booked out within minutes. So if you're not a keener, good luck!
