Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Great Resort

This resort was very nice. The rooms are great with great air conditioning, comfortable beds and a lot of room. The gardeners are always working to keep the grounds looking great. The beach was nice but shallow. The pools are very busy. The workers were friendly. The food was like any other food in cuba. There was lots of it but the buffet was not easy to get around because of the layout. The lobby was very large with lots of seating but it was very uncomfortable to sit in. There were only a cou [... read more]ple of chairs that were soft and all the rest were hard. We had a great time.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Amazing

We had a great time. The people were lovely. Best beaches and the pools were very clean. We met a lot of people from all over Canada that have been coming here for many years. I was here 16 years ago with my husband and children. Lots of memories.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Incredible people made the resort so special!

This hotel was amazing. My niece and I spent one week and we met some very nice people. The staff here and the entertainment was awesome! Special thanks to Yurdanny (Jordan to us) for making our stay so much fun! And of course all the other pool crew! Beaches were nice and the food had lots of variety. I will highly recommend this resort!

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Great Return Trip to the Colonial

We've been to this resort many times since 2005 and even got married here. The staff we have grown to know are always first class and make us feel right at home. We were a bit concerned about recent reviews but our stay was great and the food was plentiful and very good. The resort is still struggling to repair the damage of the 2017 hurricane but certainly is getting there with an amazing beach and the palm trees and landscaping taking hold. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Beautiful

This was our first time in Cuba and our first time at an all inclusive. It was a great experience all around for our family. The ease and comfort of not having to worry about anything was great and there were plenty of activities to keep you busy if you wanted. I believe that the resort did its best with quality of food for what the country has access to. There was a lot of different options of what to eat and if you went with fresh local fish you wouldn't be disappointed. We opted for the best value room and upon first glance the room wasn't amazing as compared to American standards but it was clean and comfortable and we were not there for the room. The beach was beautiful, the people friendly, the resort was clean and lovely. We had a great time. As long as you go to Cuba recognizing that you are getting the best resources that they have and that the country does suffer from its embargo's, you will feel grateful for the incredible experience and beauty of Cuba. And tipping goes a long way....

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Hotel was over full so they upgraded our busload to the Imperial Muthu adult only

The adult only side was just in service for 3 months so some things were not ready.They finished a small store ( rum and trinkets) and opened it while we were there. All the staff were excellent, well trained and pleasant. The food was not 5 star. Very limited in variety but prepared and presented well. The floor manager at the buffet was very efficient at making sure food did not run out and keeping staff attentive to your needs.The beach was beautiful.The entertainment at the theater was below [... read more] average. Entertainment in the lobby needs more people and more variety. Pools were beautiful.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: It was ok

Everything looks nice, not too big so easy to get around. Definitely looked older than a year old, paint peeling, shower leaking, electrical issues in the room. The beach was really nice, but the sand is not as nice as most Cuban resorts. Excellent service at the lobby, beach and pool bars. A la carte were not worth the wait for a late dinner. Probably wouldn't go back.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing resort

We were there March 26 to April 2 and I miss it already. Everything was great the staff very friendly, the grounds are well kept, the beach is the most beautiful one we have seen so far and food was good we always had plenty. We had made a request prior to going to be in building 1or 2 and we were in building 1 and Thank You si much for granting us that. Melia Costa Rey: Disappointed

The hotel lobby was stunning and that's about it ! Bloody Kleenex left in our room. Spare blanket filthy drity. Toilet didn't work. No hot water for 2 days. Tables,coutlrey, plates and glasses dirty all the time. Ran out of diet pop then reg.we ended up having to buy our own. Water down booze. Charged my daughter 50 pessos to extend her wheelchair room cause the courtesy one wasn't accessible. Staff not helpful.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Potential but a long way to go!

2 weeks I’ll never get back. Thank goodness for the friends we made while we were there. I’m blown away by all the positive reviews. We’re not hard to please and being military, have stayed in some pretty deplorable places but none we’ve had to pay for. Don’t get me wrong, the beach is out of this world, the pool is beautiful and our room was okay but the service, cleanliness and food were beyond disgusting, with the exception of Alberto at the Snack bar. He seemed to take everyth [... read more]ing personal and done his best to please everyone. We’ve been to Cuba 7-8 times and really don’t expect the food to be great but eatable would be okay. (Check pics ) While we were at this resort, we had so many complaints that I decided to make a list. - Raw chicken - no water or drinks in our room for 3 days - Run out of beer at 1400 every day, switch to vodka and sober up! - Bugs all over the table and wall at the international a la cart. (If someone would explain how to upload a video, I would be happy to share!) - Offered a steak and lobster meal for compensation, explained that compensation wasn’t necessary we just wanted things to be fixed. We decided to take the offer and booked for Steak and lobster for Saturday evening at 1930, show up, no record, looked like fools. Practically said we were lying! Spoke to the manager and staff on Monday, they apologized for the misunderstanding re-booked for Monday evening and low and behold, they changed their minds again. Now it was steak or lobster! Needless to say, we had the buffet. - Same thing for lunch and dinner every day and night for 14 days. - Waited 1.5 hours at snack bar for a burger. Still didn’t get it. - First 3 days no entertainment (even music) at the pool - Evening entertainment always same routine with different costumes - First change in evening entertainment was 29 March, live band( outsourced) - 30 March at the pool was a great day, actual interactive entertainment - Rarely a clean table in any restaurant between 19-27 March - Very noticeable when management was around, staff actually tripping over themselves to clean a table or help you. - Noticed a waiter pick up a water jug have a big drink out of it and continue to serve customers from the same jug. - Smells like raw sewage everywhere. I could go on but I know what most people are thinking, “can’t please everyone!” “ complainers!” I know this because that’s what I said when I read the reviews before our vacation started! If I can change one persons mind about this resort, I’ve helped someone save a little money and hopefully have a better vacation somewhere else. Happy Vacationing somewhere else🌴

Melia Costa Rey: Good Time at resort

Thought the resort was very clean and staff were quite friendly. Would definitely go back and it is worth the extra money. Beach was quite nice with good access to shade areas. Would strongly suggest to the resort that they build more shade areas around the pool area as we all know how punishing the sun can get there. There just aren't enough. Gourmet restaurant for 10 pesos each was also good, a big step up from the a la cartes for sure. The salmon fillet they cooked there I would have paid $25 for in any Canadian restaurant, awesome. Nice rooms and good maid service. Overall, a wonderful week for us.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Clean resort!

We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing was when they first gave us our room in Bungalow 5 we had no hot water. We spoke to our air transat rep and she got us In touch with customer service right away. They put us in Bungalow 7 and it was great. Our maid was amazing 😉 she has glasses and is very happy and thankful. Big shout to Yaisimy at the lobby bar. She always smiled. Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Absolutely incredible!

We stayed at the resort for 7 days and enjoyed the entertainment every night! From the shows to the discos we were super impressed! We stayed in the wooden bungalow which was beautiful! And enjoyed amazing food from morning to night! Not to mention the people were kind and so helpful! And the landscape and beach had the most gorgeous view you could ask for! Tryp Cayo Coco: Best beach ever!

The gardens were beautiful. The beach was the best - so soft and you could walk out a long ways before it was over your head. We loved using the kayaks, paddle boats, cataramans, etc. Had a relaxing massage. The food was good; although i was limited as they put peppers in a lot of food (I am allergic to peppers). The entertainment was super good but we were at this resort last year and it was exactly the same children`s program as well as the adult entertainment. I was appreciative of the fact that some areas you were not to smoke (allergy again).

Hotel Camino del Mar: Lovely, but needs a lot of attentionl

This resort was beautiful to look at but unfortunately some drawbacks. The rooms need considerable up-grades. Floor chipped and rusted around facilities. People reported water deficiency and no hot water at times. The pool needs a lot of work since the liner has split in several places. The food was good and available not only in the large buffet room, but in two other restaurants and snack bar. The staff was friendly, the entertainment was excellent. the grounds are well-tended. Melia Costa Rey: Wonderful relaxing vacation!

Our family of four went to the Pullman Cayo Coco for March break. We had never been to Cuba before and we just loved it! The resort was beautiful and well kept, rooms clean, beds comfy. The pool areas and beach were beautiful. The staff were all very friendly, especially the entertainment staff : Richard, Betty, Charlie, Jeiny, Adrian and Pittbull. There was music everywhere, shows in the theatre, singers in the restaurants, bands playing in the lobby and by the pool - we just loved all th [... read more]e music! We have been to Mexico and The Dominican Republic before and this was our favourite vacation! It felt very safe and very relaxing. We plan to return to the Pullman Cayo Coco in future! :)

Gran Muthu Imperial: beautiful resort

We stayed here for a week the last week of March, very quiet relaxing resort. The resort is new and will be beautiful when there gardens grow. Food was good, service good and beautiful pools. Will go back for sure.

The only thing nice on this resort is the beach. but don't go there after dark or the wild dogs will try to attack you! Melia Jardines del Rey: Big fun resort!

This resort is very clean and well kept. It is on the large side so you have to enjoy walking. There is always something to do and we found the lobby a happening spot...lots of people congregate here and have drinks. We brought music and had a blast. The only downside to this resort are the line ups in the buffet....and the week we were there I think all the guests left their manners at home. Really rude people pushing and butting in line. This is not the resorts fault but I felt I had to me [... read more]ntion it as it was my number one pet peeve here. The staff are lovely and hard working. Many guests were repeat and I noticed a lot of the staff were sought out and hugged and given gifts by them. We had a plumbing issue (toilet on third floor was plugged) so they shut off water on the second floor to resolve this...however it took longer then we had hoped and we were without cold water and a toilet for a day/night. This was unfortunate but it is what it is.

It is a large resort but you will never feel crowded! Food was great and yes the buffet can get a little crazy but nothing that you can't live with. The resort is large so if you have mobility issues that may be a concern! Overall great time!! Would go back again!
