Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Nice upgrade
We got to the hotel to find out it was over booked so they told us we would be upgraded to the Fantasia resort which is directly behind Esmeralda. Kind of disappointing as it’s further away from the beach but we were told we had use of all amenities for the entire complex. Had great shows at night for the kids and mini discos at different villages. Overall had a great time, weather was great and the mojitos were amazing! Did all the A la cartes and they were all great! Would highly recomm [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Resort
The hotel was very clean the rooms were equally clean.....the property was very well landscaped and maintained ......the staff very friendly.....excellent food and plenty of it.....as far as the Hotel goes Excellent....would go back again. As far as Westjet is concerned NOT Happy......The meet/greet meeting i thought was good and good advice on not being maneuvered, manipulated or listening to speeches for time shares and so forth .....we were told "your time is valuable and you paid a lot o [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Absolutely first class resort
The hotel and grounds were very neat and clean. Staff were constantly sweeping and cleaning the building and grounds. There was a great selection of food, the beach was terrific with lots of loungers and shady spots under the palm trees if you wanted a break from the sun.The staff were all friendly and polite. We would highly recommend this resort. The only thing we would recommend is flying into Samana, which we understand is about 35 minute drive. We flew into Peurto Plata but this is [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great resort!
Great resort! Clean rooms and common areas. Amazing food, great service, friendly staff. Able to go to other resorts in the Bahia Principe complex for a la carte dinners. Trolleys available to take you to other resorts, or shopping at the Hacienda if you choose not to walk. Beach was a little seaweedy but thats just nature, nothing the resort can to do prevent it! The staff worked very hard removing the seaweed so that the guests could enjoy the beautiful beach. Overall such a gr [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Intimate Resort, Beautiful landscape, Friendly Guests
This was my first time going down south, so my partner and I booked this resort as it was adults only and a small resort. Pros: - Staff very very friendly and they get to know you since it is so small - Food is very good, restaurants (although limited) offer good food - Very picturesque - Hotel is well taken care of an staff is very attentive - No problem with finding a lounger at any time of day (we went to the beach at 1pm and still found 2 beside each other) - The staff really makes [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resort!
Resort was great. Very clean, great service everywhere, and the most friendly staff. Our Air Canada representative who helped booked excursions was fantastic! Food was good, the restaurant foods were amazing. Beaches were beautiful and every resort was full of fun shows, you were never bored! Weather was fantastic, barely any bugs. All in all, would recommend this resort!!
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very beautiful resort.
Resort is surrounded by jungle, therefore there was an abundance of different birds and other wildlife. Beach was good though there is a limited area to swim. That being said there were plenty of fish swimming around. The buildings and grounds are meticulously kept and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food was second to none.
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice resort
The grounds are very well taken care for, very clean , did not see garbage anywhere on the resort. Very large resort they had shuttles running through out the day between the beach and lobby. It was a long walk if you didn't time the shuttles right. The staff were all excellent very friendly polite and helpful. The food was typical resort food, ok but better at home. The most disappointing part of the resort was the beach, there was a lot! of weeds in the water and it was unpleasant to walk th [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Was OK...
Just a mediocre hotel. Not kept up very well. Moldy pools with garbage and slime floating around. Rooms were ok but again moldy throughout. Food was not too bad but same every day. (was just moved around to look like it's different food options). Beach is not usable due to large rocks and a ton of seaweed... We won't be returning unfortunately.
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Good Resort, but would not return
The resort was good, family had a great time. We tend to spend most of our time at the beach and learned the beach at the Grand Bahia is a man made beach. Lots of rocks, seaweed and the sand was rocky and filled with crushed seashells. Overall great family experience staff and food was great but would try another resort on the island.
Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great resort
The grounds were beautiful. The hotel is a great well maintained facility. Food, service and staff were excellent both in the buffet and a la carte restaurants. Couple of minor issues we had were dealt with promptly. It is a large resort with a lot of choices. Getting around the resort is no problem with the frequent (every few minutes) trolley service. This was our second visit to the Grand Bahia Principe.
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing staff
Thanks to Mishel Romero and his staff for a wonderful stay. They were more than happy to see to all of our needs. There is a shuttle that brings you to all the other restaurants and the beach every 15 minutes.
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great resort
Best all inclusive place I have been, and I have been to many over the years. Food was excellent, place was super clean, grounds are kept very neat and the staff as very friendly and helpful, especially since I was traveling with a walker.
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Unbelievable!
This the best word I ca.n think of to describe this fabulous resort. It was our first trip to the Dominican Republic so we were somewhat apprehensive as to what to expect. Well, the Grand Bahia Principe in Punta Cana far exceeded what we expected. The beaches and many pools were incredible! I have never seen beaches so beautiful Yes, there were lots of people on the beaches but there was also tons of room for everyone. And the food!! Everything, and I emphasize everything, was deliciou [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: nice and cozy resort
beautiful landscaping. Animals everywhere. I didn't like that you are treated like a 3 star resort customer unless your participate in their secluded customers and then they will treat you like a 5 star. Rooms are outdated but charming. short staff at all bar location, lucky that I don't drink alcohol. Staff are very nice a friendly. I will go again because I know what to expect and I believe the price is reasonable.
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Resort
Initially put in a well below average room that had several issues, after talking to the hotels front desk staff, they changed our room and redeemed themselves. Overall a great stay. Will be back to book with Trip Central for the fourth time!!
Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Expected More
We just returned from a one week stay at the Luxury Bahia in Runaway Bay Jamaica. Housekeeping was terrible. Throughout the week, we encountered these issues: no towels, no bathmat, not enough toilet tissue, no soap, bath towels but no hand towels. We did however have lots of shampoo. The refrigerator was not restocked consistently. We ordered a bucket of ice one day and received it 25 hours later after 2 more phone calls. There are no ice machines on the floors so you either need to go to the [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing Value
Bahia Principe has really 4 conjoined resorts in the Mayan Riviera. Their is also Bahia Principe Coba-Tulum-Ackumal- Sian Ka' an is the newest and an Adult Only resort.. You have access to many choices of restaurants - activities - an amazing Golf Course and the list goes on. We found the room was fine & very clean, but the real highlight is the friendly great staff and the food & dining experience was outstanding. This was our 1st visit to Sian Ka'an -but we have been to this 4 site re [... read more]
The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Great vacation!
We usually go to the Cayo Levantado but wanted to try something a little different this time. We were glad that we did. For the price point, the resort was perfect. Great views, good food, good service. It was a very relaxing holiday and look forward to going back.
Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Awesome Resort
This was my first time at this resort. The grounds were simply amazing. The food was phenomenal. We never had a bad meal the whole time we were there. We mainly ate at the à la carts and the buffets in the morning. The rooms were huge and well laid out. The only thing lacking at the resort were the beaches. However, I am not much of a beach person to begin with so this did not bother me. The hotel itself is exceptional truly a five star.
