Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Review of Bachata

The grounds were well kept in the main areas, in outer areas not so much and were underwhelming. The rooms were dated and the beds/pillows were uncomfortable. The room smelled musty and worse when the underpreforming A/C was on. We kept door open for fresh air and breeze. The pool area & lobby were nice when there were not smokers nearby. The food was nice but overly repetitious. The dining area on the veranda surrounding the restaurant allowed smoking, so not so nice when you are starting a mea [... read more]l and have that blowing toward you and it wafted into the resturant. The 'main street' was half empty and only souvenir shops open. There was a gym there also but very hot, not good A/C. The beach was nice and the general area very picturesque. There were vendors approaching you on the beach for hair braiding, and water craft activities. I understand this hotel has been sold and new owners take over at the end of the month. Interested to see what they do...

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: FANTASTIC HOLIDAY

I want to say that the Palace Tropical Bay is one of the best resorts in Jamaica, I would go back anytime. The staff, rooms ,food,and beach there is nothing bad to say about the resort. I plan on returning in the near future. The price is a little steep for my pocket but its worth every cent. The activities for older kids there is none, I have a son that is 15 but he was able to enjoy the beach. The bus ride to the resort was not to my liking, as it was almost 2 hours

Riu Reggae: Great resort, but nothing good to say about Tripcentral or Sunwing

After completing our booking, we realized we had to get home earlier on our return day. Tripcentral advised us to purchase Sunwing's worry free option ($100ish) which we did. When changing our flight time, Tripcentral charged us $400 in addition to this though! After all of this, our flight home was delayed by 4+ hours, and we ended up missing our engagement we went through all the hours on the phone and dollars to get to. Worst travel experience ever. Riu Palace Aruba: Riu at its best

We had a wonderful stay at the Riu Palace Aruba last week. This was our 4th Riu Palace we have been to and it was the best stay yet The food,the grounds, the staff, and the location were all above expectations. The only one small negative was that the beds were a little hard for my liking. Would go back in a heartbeat !!!

Riu Republica: Nice resort

The rooms were very clean and beautiful on the new side. The grounds were good. The pool and area was clean. Entertainment at night was poor except the Michael Jackson show. Only one store on site. Food was so so. Waiters and waitresses some very nice others very serious. Will I return to that specific motel. Probably not. It is to small not enough to do. And beach was closes for 3 days do to the wind. Waves were dangerous.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Amazing Honeymoon

We could not have asked for a more amazing honeymoon! I usually always book through tripcentral, Ailsa Walker was fantastic and made sure that we were completely looked after and answered all of my questions. The hotel was beautiful and the weather was perfect! I can not wait to book the next vacation. Thank You Ailsa for making sure that our honeymoon was great!

Riu Ocho Rios: Favorite travel destination!

My husband and I have traveled for the last 8 years and this is by far the best experience we have had. The resort is amazing. The whole experience was perfect. The room was amazing. The beach and pool area perfect. The food was awesome and the choices were many. The jerk hut on the beach was delicious. The people there were so pleasant and fun to be around. We were asked many times how our vacation was going and if there was anything they could do to improve it. Honestly, I do not have one com [... read more]plaint about this resort. Riu Reggae: Wicked resort

The people and grounds were friendly and clean. The entertainment was excellent. No complaints from start to finish of our trip. The food was great and didn’t upset my stomach. Also the rooms were clean and tidy

Riu Republica: Very large resort!

Very clean resort, food was fantastic. On the Website the package details indicates that Spring Break/Student Group Policies: Student Groups (either groups of individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any RIU property, at any time during the year. This is absolutely false advertisement, we were at the resort from March 1st to March 8th, 2018 and the resort was 80% of students because of the March break. I was disappointed, could not relax, they were very loud.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: not for us.

This is our 2nd visit to this Hotel. 1st since the reno. I really didn't appreciate the changes. we had great weather but the tides were too big and the beach could not be enjoyed. because of this the poolside was completely jammed. The plan of 'one sitting' , 'first come first service' at the restaurants with a 6:30 pm opening was horrible. Only had on meal at one restaurant on a 3 night stay. They should go back to taking reservations. Riu Palace Bavaro: Disappointed

Staff: mostly nice untill u get to the buffet and it gets worse when you stop giving tips. Beach: beautiful but dirty and no waiters.my wife found a big Peace of broken glass sticking out of the sand. The pools: cigarette butts all over the place no one cleans up. People spitting all over the place disgusting. The other restaurants on the resort I would give it 2.5 out of 10 my wife and my buddy's wife both got food poisoning and my buddy got a little sick. The only store on the resort: Do n [... read more]ot buy anything from there the workers overcharge and pocket the rest it's rediculous. The Rooms: so dirty our sink wouldn't work. No air fan in the washroom. No blankets just a very thin and very very cheap blanket knockoff.

Riu Guanacaste: Great property

Hotel was beautiful. Food was very good. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Beach is not the best. Lots of rocks. Rooms need an upgrade but are overall ok. Pillows are uncomfortable Good entertainment very hot climate. Coco beach not too much to see

Riu Guanacaste: Awesome Experience

We went with our kids and this trip was amazing, from the food to the zip lining to the people. All wonderful, we have very few complaints and it is most definitely up there as one of our best trips. We visited Congo zip lines, the tour guides were unbelievable, my 5 year old went and felt comfortable with his guide. We fed the monkeys, ate with raccoon like animals and swam with an Iguana, what a memorable experience.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: In general the resort is fantastic

Just got back yesterday and the resort it self could not be kept cleaner. Always employees everywhere inside and out working. The staff are sooo nice and always trying to please everyone. At the pool they have a group that are so entertaining , keep you active, and laughing. Food is really great , with a huge variety,although I did get a bit ill one day but that's the Islands. Riu Emerald Bay: great

this resort is the cleanest of clean the food seems to be going down hill the bars are not serving 5 star drinks the pools are cold execpt for the swim up bar they get in and never leave creating warm water there are a few 0f the staff that dont do squat do they miguel meaaning YOU ex. view this was our 13th time to em bay and love it

Riu Palace Antillas: Great Holiday

The riu Palace Antillas was great. We had a fabulous time. I ve come to realize you should never read reviews. There was absolutely nothing negative at this resort. I rate this hotel a 5 in every category and i am support fussy. The staff were super friendly, always going out of there way to help us, always smiling and making small talk. The beach was amazing, walking the beach was breathtaking as well as the boardwalk. The hotel was super clean, public bathrooms were cleaned 24/7. For us, the only downfall is the size of resort, lots of people, we prefer smaller resorts with 200-300 people. But thats just us. Saying that, i would go back to Riu Palaca Antillas.

Riu Flamingos: Vacation Perfection

Top quality hotel with every service and need fully taken care of. Premium food and alcohol along and plenty of nightly entertainment and activities. Resort was cleaned constantly and we had zero complaints. A must try resort!

Riu Ocho Rios: Great Resort

Well worth the 90 minute drive to Ocho Rios. Resort was on a beautiful swimming beach, had great food, drinks, bartenders, servers, housekeeping staff, etc. Comfortable beds, room was big enough. No complaints!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: SHORT BUT SWEET GETAWAY

We really enjoyed our second visit to this property and were wowed by the transformation. Food was excellent, ALL staff were friendly and helpful and although the hotel is not entirely responsible for guest behaviour, we were pleased at how pleasant and respectful most people were. This is a small property with a lot of things going on in a small space which felt a bit cramped at times. The swim up bar could also use a few less ice cubes in it. We would for sure return to this property if our travel days were limited.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: best resort i have been to

smaller resort but beautifully decorated great beach and no shortage of chairs and umbrellas nice outside seating areas with sofas overlooking the ocean never had trouble finding a restaurant at night music and activities outside and inside easy covered access to marina and casino at Atlantis friendly staff AND liquor dispensers in the bedrooms! all in all a perfect stay
