Los Delfines: Islazul Los Delfines

This Hotel is not a 3 star the first room I was assigned had black mold on the shower window ledge and all over the mirror frame. No hot water for a shower toilet installed wrong smashed my knee off the door so tight . Buffet was boring and cold. Staff was the only positive attribute to this establishment.

Memories Jibacoa: Great resort

Wasn't sure what to expect in Cuba because I heard good and bad about it. But glad I went to c for myself,it was a good experience. The resort was great,hotel and grounds very well kept and clean,all staff were great some were amazing so happy and friendly.Food was good,good selection at buffet, went to 2 ala cart restaurants,disappointed in one because they only had one cook that night and we waited almost 1 1/2 hour for dinner,no one explained why till we asked.Over all good experience,glad I  [... read more]went,wish I was still there.

Muthu Playa Varadero: 4th visit

This resort is always consistent for me. Have visited here 4 times and the staff are friendly, the grounds well kept and the most beautiful beach. Food is plentiful and the beach grill is amazing. I brought a group of 23 with me and we all had a blast!!

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Quaint resort

The perfect resort that you go to for relaxation. Not a lot of nightly entertainment, but enough to enjoy the vibes of Cuba for a short while. Plenty of room at the beach and around the pool with a very enjoyable buffet restaurant. The 2 ala carte restaurants are a bonus.

Club Kawama: Old moldy dirty resort

This resort is very old. The rooms have mold in them and do not get a very good cleaning. The lobby is dark and small. The grounds are run down but landscaping is nice. Buffet was horrible. The same food for lunch and supper. But a few nice restaurants close by. The beach beautiful, the pool clean and nice.

Melia Las Americas: Our Favourite Resort

Between myself & my sister and my Husband and I, I've had the wonderful opportunity to visit Melia Las Americas 15 times. I have just arrived home and am already planning for next year. We have spoken to friends about it for years and a couple who we know, the husband was our best man, will be there for two weeks in March. I hope that they see the magic of the place that we do.

Club Kawama: It was okay

Needs lots of updated and more cleaner rooms does not look well maintained ,, bathrooms do not like clean stains in bathtubs ,,, smelly blankets the staff need to smile more , food can be better ,, service aren't the friendliest

Blau Varadero: Wonderful resort!

This hotel has a lot to offer; first and foremost, the beach is amazing--I ran along the beach and this hotel's share of the beach was the best. Second, there are a lot of bars that could serve you daily, and one 24 hour bar which is near the beach.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: My go to vacation resort

Clean, friendly, good location. Hop on hop off bus out front.Beatles bar very close. 3 choices for rooms, budget to upgrade. Staff in buffet and restaurant are great. Already looking at dates for next trip. It will be my fifth time.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Okay Resort

Beds were really uncomfortable. Food was a 5 out of 10. Ocean and Beach was great. Pool was freezing. Entertainment was a 4 out of 10. I wouldnt return to this resort. ................................

Club Tropical: Amazing Beach!

I'd steer clear of this hotel, if you can. The bathrooms were always broken, 1 stall out of 2 in each of the public bathrooms was nailed shut. We were put into a single room for the first 2 nights which was very small, dirty and the windows and door hinges were broken and the door knob was missing. The safe was even seized in an open position so it was not functional. I think starting out in this room put us in a bad mood because we got in at midnight and we were tired. We weren't fond of the f [... read more]ood at this resort, looking at photos of other resorts in the area the food looked like some effort was put in. There was very little here and the same dishes were at every meal and dishes that were seemingly created out of mixing other dishes together. Lots of flies in the morning and the fruit was never ripe. We had bananas only 1 day which was a nice treat, but we ate off resort quite a bit. The fruit juice wasn't real, it was basically sugar water. The snack bar consists of only 1 item which was usually a hamburger. Where are the chips!? Our second room (the double room that we actually booked) was so much nicer than the single room 'apartment' we were put into at first. This seems to be typical of them to put new arrivals in there. If you do go here, visit Julio in the bar and Emerio the bellhop. Some of the staff here were so great but others barely cracked a smile the entire time we saw them. Weather was great, water was beautiful, beech is amazing and it was entertaining to watch one of the lifeguards make out with a guest and then eventually go off somewhere.

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Needs Maintenance

Room: We booked kids-free, but the booking was not in a kids free space or building. The TV, phone, and safe were all broken in the room we were put in. We were moved on the last day to Fiesta Club - the safe was also broken in that room. The linens had a mildew smell that is likely due to the humidity, so not sure if that's common or not. Food/drink: Only 2 a la carte restaurants were open. All others were closed. The buffet was open, but all hot food was commonly luke warm or col [... read more]d. Bring salt with you as the food is bland, and salt is often not on the table or available. Bars were lobby, beach, and one swim-up bar. They run out of cups often so bring a reusable container with you. Service: The cleaning staff in our room were LOVELY. They made us towel animals and left a note the day we were leaving saying goodbye. Water was never replaced in our room the entire trip, including when we were moved to a room in fiesta club on our last night. One evening we asked the front desk for water in the evening, the individual asked our room number and then walked away to help another individual. After a few minutes, we asked about the water, and he walked back and handed it to us. Having to ask twice for things is not ideal. Every day we asked to have the safe fixed. Each day the customer service individual would say someone would come and it would be fixed before 5:30pm. It never was. We never were notified in anyway and each day they had no knowledge of the day before. The toilet in the room we were in made a deep and loud vibrating sound every 2-5 minutes, making it difficult to sleep. We flagged a hotel staff down to help (phones broken) and they were able to snake the pipes so that it only made it on flushing. Hotel: The beaches are the most beautiful I've ever seen in my life. The sand is like velvet and the Caribbean is warm and beautiful. The pool has broken tiles that are quite sharp. This is covering a very large area and occurring in multiple places. The lobby has a SEVERE mosquito infestation that may be caused by a nearby tiny lake. Bring VERY strong repellent.. The bathrooms smell of urine and very rarely have soap, toilet paper, or paper towel. Bring tissues and hand-sanitizer to ensure you're prepared.

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Great Ocean Views

The travel agent Beth McKinley was very professional and informative. The resort was overall a great experience. The bar staff were great, if you can get an ocean view it is definitely worth the upgrade. I rented a moped the entire week and the husband and wife that rent them out at the resort were very friendly and the price was reasonable.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Amazing resort

Very Beautiful everything was very very clean the beach everything about this hotel was wonderful From the staff to the rooms to the food pool bar service the coffee bar was amazing I would definitely recommend this special please to all my friends

Melia Internacional: Beautiful resort terrible food

While the hotel grounds are beautiful and everything is extremely clean, the hotel lacks food quality and quantity. For a five star new resort I had higher expectations especially for the price I paid. Also, the private convention events being held in the common areas of the hotel were the reason that I will not return to this hotel again.

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Amazing Resort!!!❤

We Just returned from our 7-Day all-inclusive trip. To Fiesta Americana I'm a single mom and I took my young daughter with me alone. I was worried about safety, but I had no problems. The staff was very kind and helpful. Other visitors on vacation were very helpful and my daughter made friends as well as did I the room was clean. And big the only issue I had was water bottles. We enjoyed the spaghetti pasta chicken, eggs , omlets made rigjt in front of u? Pizza and pastries as well as some good fruit. Tiny little bananas they were cute. We were on the third floor of the closest Villa. I had a view of the ocean and pool. Everything was 2 min away, poll, beach and office. 1 peco for an hr of wifi in lobby. On the main floor. I heard people had problems with mosquitoes. But I did not. We left gifts for the maid every day. She left us Thank you notes!! So sweet. The reserve was very large lots to explore and we loved the lighthouse. We saw lots of different creatures, jellyfish blue and clear, gekos, lizards, snake, pelican bird, sting rays, fish and more!!The beach was white sand Clear Water brought home lots of treasures. The gift shops were perfect. We loved that the marina was directly across the street and there were outdoor shopping places and a nice place to stop for ice cream. I recommend you bring little Kleenex packages. And maybe a mini alarm clock cuz they don't have that stuff. And catch up if you love ketchup, LOL. The coffee was amazing. Overall, we had the best time of our life and definitely would return. I recommend it. Thank you!!! 💙❤

Starfish Varadero: Standard

Rooms are kept decent, we had warm water no hot water. Card to safe didn’t work all week. Buffet will keep you alive. Very nice and helpful staff, work with what they have. Beach is beautiful, small pool. This was our 4th visit to Cuba, probably about a 2.5 star to Canada hotels.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Memories Varadero

The buildings are getting a face-lift and a nice coat of paint. Some of the buildings are even renovated. The rooms were clean, but clean towels are like gold. If there is one in your room...keep it and don't let the maid take it unless you are getting a clean one. My sister had her room clean and the maid didn't leave clean towels. She called the front desk and they told her to ask the maid. She was nowhere to be found. We had to share ours with her. The hotel was nice (a 3.5 star). The grounds [... read more] clean. The pool was nice, but there were cups and wet napkins on the ground and around the chairs at the pool. We never got a pool towel. There are not enough. The beach is okay, but rocky. I've been to much more beautiful beaches in Cuba (Cayo Coco and Santa Maria). The food... you don't go to Cuba for the food, but the buffet was a 2 star. The buffet tables and chairs need an update. The benches need to be recovered, they are all worn and broken. The snack bar was a 3.5 star. The Cuban restaurant was a 3.5 star. The people at this resort were friendly enough, but they don't interact with the guests. I've been to other resorts in Santa Maria and Cayo Coco where they are very friendly and talk with the guests. All in all, I would not go back to this resort.

Club Karey: Don't expect too much from Club Karey

We just spend a week ( January 25 - February 1 )at Club Karey, Varadero. Considering the price and our previous experience in Cuba, we knew what to expect, but even those, we were disappointed: Grounds: the hotel is spread along, you have to walk a distance to get to your destination, which could be a problem for some people. Grounds are poorly maintained. Beach: nice, long stretch of sand, but extremely dirty. It was somehow cleaned only once during our stay. Rooms: the hotel accommodation consists of small buildings, which we personally liked, but the cleanliness is questionable. They don't change towels unless you ask for that. Food: typical Cuban food, we personally have no problem with, but not for a picky eater. For two days the resort was at its full capacity and definitely, there was not enough food. Entertainment was good, nice show every night. The resort is close to downtown Varadero and it is very convenient. Definitely Club Karey is in need of complete renovation.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

Everything is amazing...staff, rooms, pools, food, beautiful ocean for walking, private tour to Havana, double decker bus ride to Varadero, no need to reserve chairs at beach or ocean. I definetely would recommend this hotel and hopefully I can return. Travelled with family and they enjoyed it LOTS too
