Riu Emerald Bay: Large Beautiful Resort

What a beautiful resort! Considering that the resort was fully booked because of the eclipse, there were never any problems getting into the restaurants or finding a lounger by the pool or the beach. The checkin process was very quick, even with three tour buses of guests arriving at the same time. Dining was superb with great food and friendly staff. The rooms were very nice with a very comfortable bed. The only negatives we had concerning the room was the replenishing of the minibar and liquor [... read more] dispenser. Two of the bottles in our liquor dispenser were empty when we arrived and it took several days to get someone up to replace the bottles. Also, the tap water is not drinkable so large bottles of water are supplied in the minibar. Except our minibar was not replenished until the last day of our stay so we had to scrounge around getting water to use. I guess another maintenance item was the loose and broken tiles on our balcony. But the view totally made up for it!

Dreams Los Cabos: Save Your Money Folks!

We chose Dreams because we stayed at another property and had a great experience. We paid for the Preferred Club although we definitely did not feel preferred at all!! Overall experience was average, so save your money folks! Pool towels and chairs are reserved all day; there is a policy to remove unattended items after 30 minutes, but it was not enforced. Food at the a la carte restaurants was good, but there was a 2 hr wait if you were not first in line at 6pm. Entertainment was okay, but they [... read more] start it at 6pm and 830 so you have to decide eat or entertainment; also need a few other options - there's a live band, nightly show, karaoke; could do a trivia night or newlywed game. Some staff went above and beyond - Juanito at Oceana restaurant, Gabino at Seaside Grill, Lily at Preferred Club beach bar, and Noel from room service.

Krystal Grand Cancun: Amazing resort

the hotel was amazing, the food was always fresh and good staff friendly, beach wonderful would give 10 stars for all my trip honestly couldn’t choose a more beautiful place thank you would recommend highly.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Will book here again

Those resort was very clean. The staff were helpful, polite, and kind. There is plenty to do and with access to the sister resorts, something for everyone. A smaller version of the Sports Bar would have been nice on our resort. Only one downside- our room smelled "musty"

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Fair at best

To start with when we arrived in our room it smelled like mould and mildew, the tables had actual crud stuck on them, thankfully I brought lysol wipes and was able to clean them. The cupboard door to access the fridge was off the hinge and falling apart. The bathroom shower had mould all along the floor at the bottom of the glass. The tap handle on the sink was about to fall apart. Our fridge was not stocked even though I asked it to be a few times until our last full day there. Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Incredible Resort

I cannot express how impressed my husband and I were We have traveled for many years to the Caribbean. This was by far the best resort we have ever stayed at. The food was amazing..Grounds were beautiful. Amenities were too many to list.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Average food

Beautiful resort, well-maintained. However, we were disappointed with food selection. This resort is appropriate for older age group, certainly not a party resort. Also, the entertainment is limited. The beds are too firm, didn't get a good sleep. We wouldn't return to this resort.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Nice Resort for Travelers on a budget

It's the second time I've stayed at this hotel. I chose it because it's a short bus ride to downtown PV. My room was clean and cheerful with fairly quiet air conditioning. The staff were friendly and very helpful. There are 2 pools, one for the adults and another for kids. Most of the visitors were retired seniors and young families with kids. Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Beautiful grounds

This resort had gorgeous ,well kept grounds. This huge resort is made up of 6 individual Barcelo resorts, and has so much to do, would highly recommend it for families with kids and young teens. The Barcelo Maya Beach resort, is definitely not as nice as the others. The food and buffet was sub par, however you can go to the other buffets Colonial & Tropicale & Palace were much better. The beach was nice and snorkelling was actually decent right off shore. Many stingrays and barracuda. There were not enough bartenders for the # of guests, always lineups. Generally a nice place if you like enormous resorts. I would definitely choose the Maya Tropicale or Colonial over the Maya Beach. We heard that the " adult only" Barcelo Maya Riviera was very good, and is also on this property

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Great family resort (and for couples if you stay at the adults only section)

A huge resort - six resorts in one. Lots of pools. There is a dolphin pool area which you can participate in ($) or just watch. Many a la carte restaurants but because we were there during US spring break it was difficult to make reservations. Resort is well taken care of. Lots of beach access but no beach umbrellas or other sources of shade. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Because of the size of the resort there is a shuttle bus to help get around. Barcelo Maya Palace: Enjoyable resort!

Flight was delayed, and not many rooms left when we arrived late Saturday night, but they did accommodate a move on Monday to a great room, and made it relatively painless. Resort was much busier our second visit, Canadian and US spring break back to back, but found a nice secluded area, and met some great people. The property is big enough, you can always find comfort, and something to do.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful Vacation

This resort was small and easy to get around. The room, grounds and dining areas were very clean and well maintained. The food was delicious and there was a great variety. The shuttles made it easy to get around to the other 3 resorts. The staff was very friendly and professional. We had a wonderful vacation and will return to this resort.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Our 6th trip and still fabulous with so much to explore

The varied sports activities, superb and abundant food, fine and friendly staff and well maintained buildings made for another memorable vacation for us at Barcelo Maya Beach Resort. We were able to visit and enjoy the 4 other resorts in the same resort complex. The continuous wide and white sand beach in front of all 5 resorts was exceptional for walking. Activities we really liked included the hydrotherapy spa (part of our Premium package), the outdoor courts with Paddleball, Tennis, Pick [... read more]leball and Basketball and the outdoor pottery painting hut at the Beach. Dinner at La Fuente was elegant, served by Lidia was not rushed and the food was excellent. The many buffets in the adjoined resorts were even better than the last time we were there. This was our 6th trip to Barcelo Maya Beach Resort and certainly not our last. Congratulations and thanks to the staff and management team.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Large Resort

This hotel was well kept. The grounds were nicely manacured. The staff was always working on them. The dining room was very well run considering the amount of guests they had to accomodate.The dining room was closed at 3pm so that they could prepare the the dinner crowd. But there are 2 other places to eat lunch on the premises if you are on a different time table. The rooms are just as pictured. Clean and stocked with the necessities. Although Sometimes they forgot . So you just ask and you w [... read more]ill receive. The entertainment was decent maybe 3 out of 5 stars. The trolly service was great ! We arrived quite late in the evening and to our dismay we were booked in the wrong type of room we booked 2 double beds and were assigned a King bed. So we had to take it for 2 nights and were moved to the right accomodation 2 days later. A matter of inconvience as we could not unpack our things. All went reasonably well after that until the day before we were to check out we went back to our room at the end of the day to find that they had changed our key and we were locked out. they had mistakenly checked us out of the room. Not really happy over that incident. It meant that I had to go back to the Lobby and wait in line for more than 15 minutes in the heat where they said sorry about that we will program new keys for you. All that said overall they were very accomodating in the end. Great place for families, I wouldnt say couples who want quiet and relaxation would be comfortable at the Coba. But the Akumel or Tulum may be a better fit.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Definitely going back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This resort is not party central but that is what we wanted. The food is very good. The hotel is very clean. The public restrooms are CLEAN and smell fresh. The beach is great. I also cannot say enough about the staff. Super friendly, gracious, helpful and happy.

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Not what I expected

We booked this hotel for my sister’s bachelorette trip one of the factors for booking us hotel was that it was a Hyatt and Hyatt does have a good reputation. It was also an adults only resort so we thought that it would have a really good nightlife. There is no nightlife other than a Mexican show at 8 o’clock or karaoke at 10. There was nothing actually happening on the resort there was no beach party there’s no lounge with good music to drink too, and stay up so we were basically going to bed a [... read more]t 11 PM every day which was quite boring for a bachelorette, the resort itself was beautiful very well-maintained and very clean. There was never a spillage of slushy drinks on the floor and didn’t see any dishes lying around that needed to be cleaned up. The pool was clean. The beach was clean. However, the food was very disappointing. There was no real actual snack bar where you can just grab food and go sit down on your lounging chair. There was a “Lola beach snack bar” which consisted of pizza a Poké bowl a burger with very minimal fries less than a fistful. It just wasn’t like other resource that I had been to where you know you could just grab a bowl of nachos and go sit on your lounge chair, so that was quite disappointing. We were, however, provided with a hospitality room because our airport shuttle was arriving at 3 PM and we opted out of the $50 per hour late checkout fee. They gave us a hospitality room which we could book for half an hour per two people which was nicer than going to go use, shared showers like other resorts do. All in all, I would give this resort a five out of 10 especially because we were going for a bachelorette. This was an adults only resort, and I feel like this hotel did not take advantage of it being an adult only resort.

Grand Palladium Colonial: Great resort

The resort was beautiful and the food was great. We ate at many of the specialty restaurant’s and the Eldorado was the best, Asian was second, Italian was third and Mexican came in last. The beach and pools were also very good, a little sargassum was cleaned in the mornings and water was clear. It was our second stay at this resort and I would recommend this resort.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Good resort

Rooms are neat and clean. Food is good. They should have printed map of the area, so it's easier to find locations. staff is friendly and helpful. I don't see why I should write more, just so it's 200 words.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Good resort

The resort was really nice being a smaller resort everything was close together, food was great resort staff was phenomenal, my only complaints were that when you shower that there was no shower door so the bathroom floor would be a pool of water and that the wifi didn’t work in my room and it was very spotty all around the resort. Other than that the resort was clean the à la carts were all fantastic. Nice having an Oxxo and pharmacy outside the resort as well
