Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Needs better food and service

This hotel needs better service for the rooms ,better food yes I know that's Cuba for you but honestly it was repeat on the food .music by the pool was very bad slow songs all day long you are in Cuba. Need Cuban music to get yourself in the mood .But the grounds where beautiful .

Melia Las Antillas: Great resort

Had a fantastic time at this resort. Lots to do, great food, and great staff all made this a very memorable trip for me. I will be back to this resort i the near future. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Why did I pay for Royal Service

Got back Sat Dec 1st 2018. Resort was ok, but paid for Royal Service and there was no way to differentiate guests who paid from those who didn’t. Throughout stay several guests came over to our side, ate at our restaurant, used our bars and pool and beach, so question is why pay for upgrade when anyone can come over. Other issues I had were consistency. Main lobby bar was great, no matter what drink we ordered, it was great, but. Ran out of beer, coffee pods and vodka more than once... each was beautiful and water was warm, and soft sand no rocks.. Room was comfortable and clean. Most staff very friendly.

Melia Las Dunas: Amazing resort!

Beautiful resort! Very clean. Staff was very friendly. Beaches were amazing. White sand , couldn’t ask for anything more. I was happy to see that the buffet had more of a selection in vegetables.

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Great people, fun times

Everything was clean and tidy, staff very friendly and always trying to improve your day. Lots of restaurants and bars. There is also a pizza place. The nude and standard beaches are clean. If you get a chance it's a nice place to visit.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Good choice for Cuba

We stayed here for a week in November. Beach is beautiful, pool is perfect. We room was also fine, roomy with a nice balcony and a king size bed. No regrets, except we found the food really left something to be desired. We were aware of the food issues in Cuba (have been 3 other times) but was hoping at a 4.5 star it would be better. Unfortunately, that's not the case. They run out of everything, and have little choice for drink mixes, and most of the mixes (juices,etc.) are powdered. How [... read more]ever, if that's not your focal point, and for the price at this off-season time of year, I think the Melia CSM is a good bet, and we would return (of course we had fantastic weather, which made our trip).

Melia Las Antillas: great vacation destination

The grounds were nice, the rooms were clean. Most of the staff were friendly, some need to smile more! Drinks were good, lots of choices. The buffet food wasn't always hot. The pool was refreshing and the beach was clean. My biggest complaint would be the airline delays both heading out and returning flights. Too many hours sitting in airports. Nothing to do with the resort.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: excellent resort only possible fault could be the 90 min trip, air port to resort.

i can not think of anything negative t say about this resort, every thing ,garden, clean ,people were unbelievablie good. some went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable mainly louie the pool boy &the cigar bar personal. we found the people in all services as good as it can get.

Melia Las Antillas: This was a great resort!

I found majority of the staff to be absolutely awesome (specifically awesome were Havier, Orlando, Tatiana, Miley and Omelet lady-sorry didn'tget her name-these individuals ALWAYS went above and beyond). The rooms were spacious and clean to sparkle every day, the grounds and beach were immaculate. The food was underwhelming due to the fact the buffet food was always cold, even when they would top up the trays, it was still cold. Over all my experience was so good, even the cold food didn't make my experience a bad one.

Melia Las Antillas: Amazing Resort

First time visiting Cuba. The Melia Las Antilles was recommended and did not disappoint. The staff is welcoming, the rooms clean and the food was great. I would definitely return. Sunwing Flight was delayed almost 5 hours going to Cuba from Toronto and 2 hours coming back next time I would pack bug repellent the sand fleas loved me

Melia Marina Varadero: Great resort

We just got back from our trip and it just seemed to short. We had a great time at Melia Marina. Everyone was great and willing to serve us. The food in Cuba resorts are pretty much the same. We were talking to a server and they are taught we Canadians are fussy eaters... Not too much salt or spice or etc. So if the food is blah it's because of the complainers. This is a great resort and we do plan on coming back.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Melia Jardines del Rey Cayo Coco

This is our second time to this resort with kids (currently 10 and 16), we were there 3 years ago as well with the kids. We have also visited Cuba several other times to various cities and resorts. For 7 days all inclusive from Toronto we paid $750/per person and I can say that it was WELL worth it. The food isn't amazing, but it's not bad (we were at Melia Buenavista 1.5 years ago for 4X the price and the food there was so AWFUL we actually came to dread mealtimes, so comparatively this was fan [... read more]tastic!) - and ultimately we don't go there for the food. The beach is the best: white sand, clear crystal blue (warm) water, the staff is friendly and attentive (front desk staff was especially effective and attentive, we had to switch rooms as we really wanted joining rooms and they did everything expediently to accommodate our needs - thank you!), the lobby and rooms are clean and very comfortable. This is not a 5 star "american" resort, but it is perfectly comfortable and we will look forward to returning with the kids again - the entire one side of the beach is completely undeveloped and a massive sandbar which is just stunning and private and gorgeous for both walking and swimming and sea-shell hunting. We have loved seeing Barmichi, the donkey, still there and well cared for. Thank you for a wonderful week! Tips: bring bug spray as calm or grey days, as well as some evenings get buggy. We stayed in building 21 which looks over the "family pool" and while some guests were loud at night, that pool was otherwise very quiet. We brought re-usable plastic mugs to use during the day for drinks so as not to be going through the little plastic cups which aren't terribly environmentally friendly, nor do they hold much liquid or keep it cold... We pre-booked our seats on the way home through Air Transat for $25/person and then took a cab for $25 which was about 20 minutes away - well worth is to stay a little longer on the beach in the morning, so we didn't have to take the bus 3 hours early to stand in line at the airport.

This resort could be fabulous if the grounds were maintained, numerous maintenance issues taken care of and done effort was put into the food options. I’ll start with the positive... best beach I’ve EVER been to, great layout of the resort with multiple pools for every type of need or desire, no lack of pool or beach chairs with plenty of shade on the beach if you prefer and it is very close to the airport (15 minute bus ride) . I know people say it’s cuba but I’ve been to 3 other resorts in Cuba and have had decent to very good buffets. General maintenance was non existent. Simple bathroom door latches not fixed, concrete garbage cans crumbling and various other repairs that made the resort look run down. No toilet paper or hand soap in public washrooms 60% of the time. Grass not cut and litter not picked up on a daily basis...ie empty beer bottle on the lawn for more than 2 days. Most of the staff were pretty good except for the ones who creeped on my daughter while she was trying to work out at the gym every day. It got so bad she couldn’t go anymore. The nightly entertainment was boring. Every night was just a different dance theme.

The ground were nice, rooms were okay but no air conditioning only a fan. The mens washroom at the pool was out of order all week. Beach was awesome but the men running the catamarans would not take anyone out unless you paid for the 2 hour 20 dollar trip even though it included 20 minutes per day. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Loved it!

Very much enjoyed our 7 night stay. Our room 6117 was close to everything. The pools are amazing. Improvement to the way the restaurants are booked are needed. Waited in line for over an hour. Very friendly staff! Thank you for a great vacation!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful beach and nice resort

Overall it was OK.Beautiful beach and ocean front.Rooms were nice and spacious.Many of the staff were not friendly and ignorant which was a huge surprise.Food was ok but not what we expected. There was always a shortage of everything. No beer. No limes. No mojitos. No fries. No hamburgers. No chicken. No juice. Everything was "sorry, finish". My daughter hurt herself playing volleyball and the doctor wouldn't even examine her knee. She just wanted our travel papers to send us to the hospital whi [... read more]ch wasn't necessary. Melia Cayo Santa Maria: always a good time in Cuba

was looking to the Cristal cervasa but they ran out day 2. Some thing with a supply issue, even the draft was not available. Hope they resolve the issue before the busy season. The lobby and rooms were great. We were at this resort 2 years ago and the management and staff worked hard after hurricane Irma to repair damage that was done.Friendly staff.

Melia Las Antillas: Nice resort

The hotel was okay. My room was fine, clean and my maid Yuvie was great. Too many stairs to climb every day and walking to reach the pools and beach. Although there were elevators to go from my floor to the lobby floor, the elevator to go to the buffet and restaurants was under maintenance. Therefore, the spiral staircase had to be used at least 10 times a day. The pool was at least 5 city blocks from the lobby and the beach at least 10 to 15. When one has a chronic condition such as RA ,  [... read more]bad knees or back that is a lot of walking or climbing for one day x at least 7 days. Staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating, food was fair, a la carte restaurants were good. I went to relax and I accomplished that to a point.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Amazing resort!

For my first time in Cuba, I couldn't have ask for a better experience - starting from the resort! The Paradisus Rio De Oro exceeded my expectations in so many ways.
