Ocean El Faro: The resort was ok

Ocean el faro was not close to a 4.5 star resort. Food was below average and the restaurants resold below average buffet food. Room and common areas had lots of damage. Beach was very rocky and had some garbage around. Very few pool chairs and even fewer umbrellas. All taken all the time. Whole place felt cheap. Very overpriced!!!

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Changing resort....new name Jewel Palm Beach.

Dreams scheduled to close early January and re-open once all traces of the Dreams logo have been removed from the hotel. Starting at the front gates....right down to the bottles of shampoo and match boxes.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Beautiful hotel

Nice hotel, but the check-in process was horrendous and it took ages to get our bags once we finally checked in. Enjoyed the beach, and the water was spectacular. Restaurants and buffet was poor, and that’s important to us at this price point. The ladies who cleaned our rooms were fabulous as was the “butler” Jose but everywhere else in the hotel, service was ok, at best.

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Will not be back

We absolutely will not be back and are so disappointed with the experience we had. Many places in the resort smell like sewage. Buffet food is often old, cold, and left sitting. We spent extra to do the character breakfast ($150USD) and were served limited options and cold food, worse than the buffet. The staff is rude and do not care for the guests. The "entertainment" is just guests of the hotel playing "Just Dance" on stage. We had to call daily to have our room cleaned and mini fridge  [... read more]stocked. Unless you are a member of this hotel chain you will not be treated well. We will absolutely be making sure none of our friends and family ever attend this resort.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Very nice

Clean and very friendly resort. Entertainment was good. Only one swim up bar for the length of pool seemed not so efficient. Would have been nice to have a coffee bar in the lobby. Overall a great experience.

Riu Palace Macao: Amazing resort!

This was our first time at an all inclusive resort and our first time in DR. 33F, 27F and 44M. It was myself, my boyfriend and my sister.This was so over the top amazing, the entertainment in particular, Gerston, Pedrito and others who's names escape me really made sure everyone had the opportunity to get up, dance, play and have fun. The wait staff were also so so nice and accommodating, shout out to Marcos! The food was great, no reservations needed. Things were always kept clean and available [... read more]. Be warned they clean rooms twice a day. Morning and evening until 11pm. So if you don't want to be interrupted make sure your do no disturb sign is up! Haha. It's adults only, a lot of elderly people BUT there is still a good amount of young adults to hang with. Also the RIU parties are LIT! Enjoyed very much. Will be back every year if I can.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Quality improved since last year

2nd time at this resort (been there last year) and have to admit that quality of service improved. Things I liked: 1. The staff. They manage to create a perfect vacation vibe, very helpful and seem to enjoy their work. I saw so many times when they invited guests to dance, did the high-fives or flying kisses with kids, smiling to guests and each other etc. They are really friendly and making sure you have great time - loved it. 2. Small but nice thing - they had coffee machines and Aperol Spritz even at the beach bars, rare thing in other resorts. The beach - well, Bavaro beach is not the nicest I’ve been to, lots of waves, sargasso and the water is far from being transparent. Understandably, it’s not something the resort can fix, but they did clean the seaweed from the beach regularly. Things that need improvements - just one, the rooms - very dated, I tried 3 during my stay and all had same problems, shower and air conditioning system leaking water on the floor, air conditioners are rather noisy, lots of cracks in ceramics… Rooms were better in Palace and Punta Cana section.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Beautiful grounds - horrible food

The hotel itself is nice. The grounds are perfect. The room is nice (assuming you have oceanfront) - the shower was over flowing but could just have been our room The staff at this hotel speak little to no English (its odd and somewhat frustrating) the food is shockingly bad....like as bad as Cuba (beware) - the reviews are very real People should really avoid booking this resort until they fix this issue also - there is NO food options other than the buffet and evening resta [... read more]urants...also very odd...they need ocean front food options and food by the kids/family pools (so simple) - even just pizza, fries and burgers/nachos (so very simple) The kids/family areas are awesome - we would def come back IF they improved the food and have it available on the Ocean and by the kids/family pools otherwise we would not come back

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Very Happy with Resort

The Royalton Bavaro met all expectations and more. The hotel is quite new, very clean, and the staff are all very friendly. Food was really good, although wait times in the restaurants can be long if the resort is busy. Shows were great, tons of stuff to do - beach is amazing. Great for all ages.

Amazing atmosphere clean amazing food friendly people friendly staff very clean room 24/7 security very fast service very nice customer service delicious and fresh food nice restaurant variety perfect for families

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Over all nice property but a few things could be improved.

-The beach is very rocky and dangerous, the surf is very high and the undertow can be strong, there is a quieter beach area but it is off the property. The main pool was crowded ans noisy but the El Beso pools were nice. The lazy river is small and there are only a few floaties available. If you didn't have a butler you have to stand in line at 7:30 every morning to get your a la carte resto reservations. We ate most of the time at the PezDama and Privelge restos since they were on the beach [... read more] and the staff were so nice. -The buildings and grounds are well maintained and clean. - The staff are super nice but alot of them seemed to be new and were not able to provide information when needed. -The rooms are spacious with lovely balconies with swinging baskets. -The activities are nice, people seemed to be enjoying the dance classes, games etc. -The shows were hit and miss, best were the Magic Show and the Fire Show. -Every night there is live music and dancing at the central plaza, it is fun and family friendly. -Its worth it to have the privelege package, having a butler really facilitates things if you have problems(our safe malfunctioned), saves time with restaurant reservations and generally get info for you since a lot of the staff were either new or didnt speak much English.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: We will Definitely go back

Great place with beautiful facilities and we had a ton of fun. Food was excellent with lots of great restaurants to choose from and the main buffet was very good. All the staff was so friendly and happy made you feel really welcomed. In particular the entertainment crew under the direction of Walter were really fun and put on great shows and things like AquaFit, dancing lessons and more. The only issue was a natural one, when we were there the beach was filled with seaweed and lots of bittin [... read more]g insects. So it was not great, but the beach was beautiful and hopefully is not always like that.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Would go back!

We stayed dec 17th to the 23rd. The staff are excellent and all needs were addressed. Travelling with two adult sons and one adult daughter we had a great family vacation. Alberto our “butler” was very helpful and not intrusive. Helped sort out a game of golf for us nothing left for us to do but show up. Ezekiel and Leonardo we’re very good Bar keeps We split our time between the general swim up bar most lively and the entertaining staff were fantastic. Kept people engaged. We has the [... read more] colonial club adults side which had a better beach and i think the drinks were easier to get quickly but i wouldnt worry about it as the special cocktails were flowing and the pace was perfect. Nice beach. Didnt have to rush down at 6 am for chairs or beds. Lotsa room for everyone Would go back Food great. Recommend getting to the buffet early rather than later for more selection. Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Incredible Experience!

We visited this resort for 8 days with our kids and the experience was nothing short of incredible! Everyone, and I do mean everyone were beyond accommodating. It was my kids very first trip to the Dominican and they are officially in love with everything. The evening entertainment was breath taking and the resort itself was clean and well kept. Definitely a place we will be returning! Thank you so much to all of the staff for such a memorable experience!

Impressive Premium Punta Cana: Great hotel, but the staff could be better

The buildings and beach were beautiful! But I found the staff to be lacking! Been to Bavaro Princess 2 times and the service there was great. I felt the service at impressive to be not so impressive. Some staff were great but most waiters and reservation takers could care less.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Perfection at its finest

We 2 couples stayed at the Hard Rock Punta Cana from December 14-21. Shuttle service from the airport was the best we’ve had. We were quickly taken to the resort. Check in was also quick. We were in different buildings when we got there but were quickly moved to the same one so we could be close to each other. I had asked for renovated rooms which we did not get but we had amazing clean rooms none the less. We weren’t in it much so it didn’t bother me. The beach did have quite a bit of sea [... read more]weed but again didn’t bother us. We quickly found the adults only Eden pool which we stayed at for the week. It was clean and the staff were friendly and very quick bringing us drinks. They made our week. We are at Toro(steak house) twice. Excellent food and service and would highly recommend. Impanema and Italian were the other choices for the week as well as the buffet. All were excellent and service was impeccable. We never waited but we ate around 6 pm always. Moon lounge, ice cream shop and cafe were also places we frequented daily and again always friendly staff and quick. Shuttle service was frequent and got us where we wanted to go on time. Entertainment staff were high energy. We did the water aerobics daily. Shoutout to Sexy Evelyn, Alexandre for getting us moving. They work extremely hard. The only complaint I have is the push to become members. This was annoying and if I didn’t know better could have easily ruined our week but they still bugged us daily anywhere we went and upon check in and check out. Will definitely return soon

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Good variety

The water park section was a great way to split up the day. The one side of the pool is quieter which is nice. The other side of the pool is busy with lots of action to keep kids entertained. Food is decent.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort Spa and Casino: Beautiful and Modern Resort

The resort was absolutely beautiful and very modern and clean with plenty of seating and things to do. Staff were very good and the food was amazing. Lots of food options for all ages as well as swimming areas for all ages (adults or families). We loved how this resort was so big so it was never an issue with over crowding or trying to find a spot to sit by the pool or beach! I will say the resort was so massive that you do need to do quiet a bit of walking to get from point A to point B but tha [... read more]t’s just the small price to pay when the resort has everything to offer. There weren’t any mask mandates with Covid and everything was open and running. Overall we can say we highly recommend this resort to you or any of your clients interested in traveling to Punta Cana!

Club Med Punta Cana: Something for everyone!

Lovely resort with amazing food! If you want to do activities all day long there is lots to do - tennis, circus school, yoga, gym etc.. If you want to be quiet on the beach there is lots of space for that.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: good resort!

The main issues that i had with the resort was arriving there, without being informed that it was being closed until further notice on December 20th. The last few days showed a noticeable change in available food at the buffet. We also experienced one disgruntled employee at one of the a la carte restaurants, but this was quickly handled by the management. The vacancy rate at the hotel was high, no doubt due to fact is was closing soon, but this resulted in fantastic service from the staff.  [... read more] Would not recommend the ocean area as it was always red flagged.
