Friendly Fun Vallarta: NO BETTER VALUE AT THIS PRICE POINT

The Friendly Hola has become my go-to home away from home each time I visit PV. While I am sure every resort has its own something to offer......when you find what meets your needs and expectations.....why bother to keep looking! The hotel is perfectly located for walking, or short bus or taxi rides into the downtown area. Sorianas is right across the street for any of your extra purchases. The hotel is immaculately kept....one just has to make peace with the smoking in public places in Mexico!  [... read more]For me; the resort is the perfect size...I am not fond of the ambience of the mega-resort.......the Friendly Hola is 350 rooms or so. The food is plentiful, well prepared and the staff will go out of their way to prepare what you like....all you need to do is ask! But it is the staff that really completes the perfect picture at this resort. Review after review has gone into the exceptional personalized care each and every one of their staff members provide; and I can only support these comments!! The best way I can describe it......is when you are a guest there, you feel like you are being invited into a family......the Friendly Hola family!! Abraham...have my chair ready and waiting please!! Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Great stay!

We were at Sunset Plaza Beach Resort for the first week in February. All of the staff were polite and helpful, and the room was lovely. It was mildly annoying that people would reserve chairs with a towel as soon as they got up. There were signs posted saying that your stuff would be removed if you hadn't used your chair in a certain amount of time, but that was never enforced. I'm more of a selective eater and found that I didn't necessarily love anything, but found a few things that I did like. Everyday, we sat at the pool after breakfast, grabbed some lunch and stayed by the pool a little longer. When we wanted to rest in the afternoon, the cleaning lady was nearly always there — even if we changed what time we were going back. That was a little annoying, but she was very friendly and we spent the time sitting on the deck so as not to be in her way. The beach is pretty small and there are limited number of seats on it. The under tow is a little stronger than you might expect but not bad. The whole experience was really great. The little things that were a little annoying were completely 1st world problems, so don't let that stop you from enjoying this resort!

Riu Vallarta: Great resort!

Hotel is situated on a beautiful beach. Great for walking. Close to town for tours. While the hotel looks really huge, it is quite easy to get around. There are 2 pools, one for adults and one for children. At night the band plays in the centre and there is lots of dancing for all ages.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Great resort

Fantastic hotel, only down side are the beach vendors. The rest is fantastic, room, food and service. would recommend this hotel, it's really a 5 star. .....................................................................................................

Samba Vallarta: Enjoyable time

Easy to access near towns by walking, bus, or taxi for non-guided excursions . Felt safe to go for walk or run of site by self. Staff very good and friendly Easy and convenient access to food and beverages

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Don't go there

The food selection was limited and very plain, the boozes was the cheapest brands made and the service was poor, they checked us into the wrong type of room, which had not even been cleaned yet, we will not be back there

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: excellent resort

Our best stay in Puerto Vallarta..the staff was fantastic...the food excellent.... very clean hotel ..and the room was very bright with a nice view of the bay....we will return next winter..if we get it same price.

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Grand Marival Calling, Answer the call!

Welcome to the Grand Marival. Staying here was like a little piece of paradise on earth. The staff were all friendly. I asked one of the wait staff for an iced capp. She conjured up one of the best drinks I've had. Around 8 every evening, the housekeeping staff would offer us a special treat. The staff really went out of their way to ensure every whim was met. They even remembered our names. The entertainment was both funny and interactive. The food was amazing and so much variety. Riu Vallarta: I loved this resort!

The grounds were always immaculate, the staff inside and outside were friendly and efficient, the buffet room was always well maintained, food always delicious and fresh. The room was very comfortable and always very clean.

Grounds nicely kept,always working on vegetation.Lobby clean and rooms clean.Service staff very accomodating and friendly.Pools (adult) well kept with great ocean views. Entertainment okay if a little repetitive but well presented and lively.

Riu Vallarta: Amazing Resort

This was my second time staying at a Riu was a little nervous since my first experience wasn't the best..This resort definitely made up for the first time..Great staff, Food was good always something to eat..Beach was clean..Best times at the pool!!! Definitely makes me want to return to Mexico

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great Girls Vacation

The Adult pool was amazing, it had the best view ever. Food was great and a lot of variety, staff were helpful. There was a lot of Drinks options and some crazy good drinks I had never heard of. Can't wait to go back!

Riu Flamingos: amazing

this is a first class resort. Rooms, dinning, customer service and beaches are second to none. Staff go over the top for you to make sure you are having a great time whether you want an active or relaxing holiday...The area hosts many different activities for all ages. This is my favorite resort as we have been there 3 times and just love it there. Ceasar always makes it special....Just wish they would have you bring back the rolling keg of beer......

very good service, clean ,good beach and great food. the adult only pool is such a great idea.internet service could be improved somewhat. but overall a great resort and we will definetly return someday.

Riu Flamingos: Great Resort

This was a lovely resort, We stayed for two weeks in February and the weather was perfect every day! The rooms were clean and well maintained, but we missed the coffee maker. Dining room staff were helpful and provided take out carafes so we managed. We were a bit disappointed that not all of the restaurants were available each night, especially with the long line each AM to make reservations. Food was all inclusive OK, and the buffets lacked imagination, no fancy displays, cutbacks all around.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Another Fantastic Stay

This was our 6th time at the Royal Decameron Puerto Vallarta. The beach is beautiful and you can walk for miles, including to the little village of Bucerias. The grounds are well kept and the staff work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are pretty basic but very clean. Each room has its own private balcony. The food was great. Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Paradise!

Now Amber is where you go when you want sun, great food, delicious drinks, amazing service and the best kids club! We traveled in April as a family of 4, kids 3 and 8. We felt taken care of from check in to check out, and everywhere in between. We enjoyed the preferred club, pools, the beach and a variety of restaurants, all of which were delicious. we returned for our fourth visit this may and enjoyed it as always. many of the staff have become familiar and always welcome us back, "welcome to your second home ! ". the very clean, if spartan, rooms are comfortable. we request the 'block' closest to the adult pool. the variety of fresh fruits and other food is definitely a draw. kms of clean, safe beach to walk. lots of activities to keep you as busy as you want, or multiple pools to lounge around. the grounds are kept well too. nice mix of  [... read more]mainly mexican & canadian guests. you are well taken care of, picked up from airport & dropped off (nolitours). this all-inclusive is a "no-brainer", i don't think you can find a better deal and such genuinely friendly staff. gracias !

Grand Palladium Vallarta: It was ok

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were ok. The beds were hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were not comfy either. We found the buffet was just ok but better then the a la cartes. The adult pool could have been better looked After and warmer.
