Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Wonderful Holiday!!

Had an amazing time at Iberostar Encenachos. Reception staff,maids wait staff were all amazing! Some of the warmest people I have ever encountered. Sunwing rep so very helpful and informative.Easy and simple dealing with Trip Central also. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that there was no outlets in the bathroom for a curling iron. But I would return in an instant. An all around great visit to Cuba!!

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Ordinary

The grounds and lobby area are nice. We took a room upgrade to be located closer to the beach for US$200 extra. We finally got reimbursed, as it truly was NOT an upgrade. When we arrived in the room, the air conditioning was not working, the room is small, the lighting is bad, no exhaust in bathroom. However, beds comfortable. As for the dining, we are only allowed three à la carte restaurants for a 7-day stay. Buffet food very ordinary. I would not choose this resort for a future holiday...

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Great Cuban Resort

My husband and I were both really impressed with this resort! When booking our honeymoon we chose to go to this resort because of its rating, and we weren't disappointed. Aside from the Parque Central in Havana, this is our favorite and by far the best all-inclusive we have been to in Cuba. We have previously stayed at the Blau in Varadero and felt everything about this resort was better. The grounds were well maintained, the pool was in great shape and the service was awesome. The entertainment [... read more] (star staff) went above and beyond to make sure the guests were happy and entertained. The fitness center and spa were both great and every one catered to our needs. Our only complaint was that the food workers were handling raw and cooked meat with the same utensils. We noticed this both at the Japanese restaurant and at the buffet. The employees would use a fork to place raw chicken skewers on the cook top and then would serve you your cooked chicken skewer with that same utensil. This would be an easy fix for management to implement this basic food safe practice. Despite this, neither of us became ill and we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We would go back in a heartbeat and next time would gladly take our kids!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Dependable

We chose this resort based on our experience at Iberostar Daiquiri, and found the resort dependable for service, cleanliness, good food selection and preparation, variety and entertainment. Knowing what to expect makes settling in quick and easy and negates the lost time getting oriented. Thank you Iberostar for, overall, a good experience. Room for improvement: Top of my complaint list is the local "artists" who appeared on (I think) Wednesday evening. EXTREMELY AGGESSIVE. The guy with the pa [... read more]intings shadowed me like a vulture, and the other two practically mugged me. Many guests commented that they did their best to walk the long way around to get to restaurants, but some had no choice but to walk the gauntlet. A couple of the public washrooms are way too small. At one of them, near the pool bar, the door to get in hits against the toilet before it is fully open, and the one near the lobby (not the one behind the lobby bar, that is good), but near the porter station, is also way too small. You can barely get your knees in the stall. As much as we like Iberostar, we will not go back to Puerto Plata. When the rain falls and all of the local pollution washes into the ocean, the beach is a shameful mess. Not shameful to staff, who do their best to clean up, but shameful to local control. When I'm swimming in the ocean and I bump into water bottles and disposable razors, I'll never go back. As a result, we may visit other Iberostar hotels, but not in the Dominican.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great Resort

This was our third visit to this resort and again we were not disappointed. The grounds were immaculate, the public areas were kept spotless, rooms were very nice and spacious and the food was very good and served hot. The food in the buffet was displayed beautifully and everything was kept very clean. We were here at the end of February and never had any problems finding a shady spot to relax. Plenty of lounge chairs everywhere. The entertainment was quite good.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: More than we expected

Excellent sea food, snorkelling, entertainment and such a friendly staff. Both beaches were within easy walking distance with well stocked bars and lunch food. Getting through Santa Clara airport is stressful with so many entering but do not buy the Sunwing VIP pass as they overbook this and it becomes a slower process with a waiting room that is overcrowded. Don’t try to exchange your money at the hotel right away as there are long lines, we waited a day and went right through. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Beautiful Resort

This resort was fantastic. Great staff and Lance is Amazing as well as all front desk staff. Rooms were clean and comfy and I will definitely return soon to this resort. Jamaica is my favorite place to vacation. Love bringing girlfriend's here to share my love of Jamaica. 20 years and counting. My favorite getaway. People are amazing as well as hospitable. No better place for me to enjoy my Me time.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Nice resort food not so good for our week

When planning our trips we rely mostly on reviews and feedback from friends. Seeing as this is a new resort with a gorgeous layout and reading past reviews we decided to splurge and check out this 5 star resort. This was our 8th trip to Cuba and we’ve heard on occasion to spend the extra money and go elsewhere. Check-In- When we arrived at the resort around 4 we were told they were still getting the room ready. After about an hour they had a room in block 15, seeing as we did some homework we knew it would be a bit of a hike so we said we were willing to wait longer for a closer location and we were able to stay in block 5 which was close to all the amenities. We were very happy with their accommodations. As far as replenishing water and beer the first two days we had to ask. I figured if they didn’t want to do what was required then I didn’t feel the need for anyone in my room, our only request was to replenish our toilette paper and we were told on more than one occasion they ran out. Food- We have always enjoyed the food in Cuba, so that has never been a factor for us when booking a trip. This is the first and hopefully the last bad experience with food and lack of selection. I could go on about the set up of the buffet area and about the long jammed up lineups for pizza, pasta, fish, and meat but forget it. We chalked it up to how possibly the hurricane could have contributed to the lack of selection of food (the Japanese E la Carte was the best experience of the trip by far.) We decided to take the bus to the Iberostar Daiquiri to check out the resort. We did have lunch there and we were impressed with the quality and selection of food, so that cancels out the hurricane for the reason for lack of food to finding out they are run by different owners. The Daiquiri does have a nice market, gift shop, and beach but the atmosphere and layout at Playa Pilar Iberostar beats it. Beach-If you love laying on the beach and occasional running into the ocean then you may not like the layout considering they have a board walk over rough coral and you would have to go into the ocean by walking off the board walk. We knew that before we booked so we were ok with the set up. Cigar Lounge- Onei took good care of us at the Cigar Lounge. He made a tasty Spanish coffee and Sangria. He enjoyed discussing the history of Cuba with us which was a Big Plus. These are major points from our trip, overall we did enjoy the layout of the resort, the entertainment, servers, room, pool volleyball, but because of the quality and lack of food selection we will try another resort in the future.

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Great vacation

I stayed at Iberostar Tainos mid February with my two teenage daughters. The poolside bungalow was spacious enough for all of us to have our own bed. The rooms are a little dated looking but they are clean and we'll kept. I can't say enough good things about Yamilla, who kept our room clean and fresh while leaving flowers and notes for us on the beds. The grounds are lovely and well kept as was the pool and beach area. We spent mornings at the beach, afternoons at the pool and we were alway [... read more]s able to get loungers for the three of us. The pool area did get very loud later in the afternoon when they had pool side entertainment. So if you're in a poolside bungalow and are the type to enjoy a late afternoon nap you might find yourself out of luck with the volume of the music and the animation staff on the microphone. The buffet had plenty of selection at all times. Some of the vegetable and fruit options were a little repetitive after a few days but the resort did a good job of offering variations and alternatives. The wait staff in the restaurants are some of the best I've ever encountered in any Resort. Always friendly, smiling and we couldn't have asked for better service. Yes, the WiFi is at times spotty and at times non existent. But we worked around it. Overall a great week with Iberostar Tainos.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: charming old style resort.

rooms in real need of redo. paint, tiles fixtures and furniture are really tired. Food was best we ever had in 6 visits to Cuba. First nights room was disgusting. The practice of shoving late arrival guests in these obviously unacceptable rooms should be stopped. It starts the vacation off on a sour note. The upgraded room the next day was in great location and nice and clean.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Great Vacation!

Our trip, from start to finish, was great! The rooms were clean and well-stocked, the food was very good and the pools and beach were awesome! Mignolia served us at the buffet almost everyday and made mealtimes very pleasant! Everything was easily accessible and many food and bar options available all day and night! All the staff at the resort were very friendly and accommodating! We’ll be back:)

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing trip!!

This resort was incredible!! There was a huge selection for all eaters. There was NO lack of food for sure. The only complaint we heard from our whole group for the week was that there was too much food. No one ever wokr up hungry. Our group of 29 were impressed with the whole vacation. The Wi-Fi was a little sketchy but we were there for our wedding not the internet. Drinks were too plentiful..and at times actually too strong to even drink lol. Really. The staff was amazing. Polite, helpful and a lot of fun!! The hotel offered many excursions which was great. Our group took the Dunns River tour and the Negril/Ricks Cafe tour..both well worth the money!! Definitely do the Negril tour to see 7 mile beach. Jamaica's most beautiful beach...the hotel beach isn't the best I've seen in Jamaica. But 7 Mile Beach is gorgeous!! We wouldn't recommend the shopping trips at all...too many venfors with the same things and wayyy too aggressive. The disco was a good time. We spend a few nights there!! Absolutely would go back...and have already recommended to friends and family!!!!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing Resort

New Resort very clean and convienient, staff are amazing beautiful layout beach is lovely.from my past experience Vacation with my Wife in Cuba for the 7th time it is one of the nicest and cleanest Resort we visited, I recommended to a Couple of friends Who they never been in Cuba before we went three couples and they loved it.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Wonderful Hotel!!

I would think that you would find it difficult to find anything wrong with this hotel. The Hotel was one of the best that our group has travelled to and we have been travelling together for 22 years. The hotel was spotless, from your hotel room, dining halls, restaurants to the public washrooms, it was so clean. The gardens were spectacular , they were always working away on the outdoor space and even kept the walkways tidy...what an amazing hotel. The pools were amazing and fun to splash around in, and of course from the pool swim up bar to the lobby bar, to the beach bar we enjoyed the variety of drinks made, and always with a smile!! We cannot say enough about the food, the buffet was grand with a great variety of food and we did have the opportunity to eat at the Japanese, Mexican and Steakhouse and loved them all. This is definitely a place we will be returning too....Amazing staff that was always smiling and polite....LOVED IT!!!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Best stay yet in Varadero

8th trip to Varadero, 1st trip (but not my last ) to Iberostar Bella Vista Staff - amazing, friendly (pool bar staff are the greatest ! ) Grounds - very clean Room - very clean. Maid should not leave candy in room as we had ants all over from a package that was open. Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Fabulous Resort

We have just returned from spending a week at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach Resort in Mexico. It is a beautiful resort with friendly competent staff who are more than eager to make your stay a positive experience. Our room was lovely, beach fabulous(a little windy during our stay), pools are endless. Food was amazing, many thanks to Alicia for getting our group of 21 into the restaurants. No complaints about this resort. Great experience

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Fun times!

The resort was beautiful! The swans, peacocks and pink Flamingos were beautiful! Good food at buffet and the Japanese restaurant was good, and the LaHaciende was really good. The Salmon at La Puerto restaurant was the best! The only down was I had asked for king bed and to be close to my granddaughters so they could see when they wanted, that did not happen. The front desk was was totally unsympathetic as they had given our room away for the king size bed. Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Dissapointed

Cuba is a nice country, with beautiful beaches. However, this resort made the experience almost terrible. Beach/water - the water is amazing but watch out for stones and corral. Water shoes highly recommended. The beach is fairly small but they have enough chairs and shade. Too bad they are not cleaning it; there are lots of cigarette buts and other garbage on the beach. The guys that are supposed to rake and clean are busy collecting tips for setting up the chairs and pretending they clean  [... read more]the sand off the chairs. Service - they are very disorganized and non coordinated and I think this has to do with the bad management and supervision because some of the workers there seem to be hard working and courteous. They constantly run out of something or another at the bars, restaurants and beach snack bar. The towels place opens at 9:30 and sometimes closes when they run out of towels. The internet is SLOW and only available in the main lobby. The Cigars bar has its own rules; I found a drink that I liked but I could only have it if I buy a $5 cigar that I didn't want or need. The next day that drink was gone... and the list goes on. Food - terrible. I expected that as I have been to Cuba before and I know they don't have certain things. But if you make fries why burn them? And I know they had plenty of eggs, milk and flour so why do you make breakfast pastries hard as a rock and crappy? In some days or for certain meals they had good things (tasty and appealing) but in very small quantities. It was gone in no time and no next batch, so it was lack of food but just bad coordination. There is no excuse for the hundreds of flies and cockroaches seen in the buffet restaurant. There is no bottled water other than the one they leave in the room, the water in the restaurant sometimes smells and tastes bad. Rooms - are nice, at least buildings 7-8. You get 1.5 l bottled water daily in the fridge. Housekeeping is OK.

Rooms - well kept, but very uncomfortable beds Overall resort - beautiful, perfect size, liked how there was no trolley to get around Pools - great! Beach - amazing! always enough chairs no matter what time and there is beach bar Wifi - one cuban for one hour of wifi, for Cuba the wifi wasn't bad Food - snack bar and ice cream place were great! Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Looks just like the pictures!

The Resort was pristine, the staff helpful and the atmosphere relaxing. This was our first time here and stayed for one week. We stayed in an oceanfront room, and relished waking up to the view and sounds of the waves each morning. We ordered room service a couple of times because we couldn't believe it was included in the cost - and was delicious! We also were regulars at the coffee shop for our morning caffeine jolts, and took turns with various specialty coffees and teas. We spent one day in the star club rooftop complete with massages, hot tub and drinks - a beautiful vantage point for sunset watching :) Overall this place was fantastic and we are planning to return next year!
