Riu Caribe Cancun: nice resort

resort was nice and clean food was bland and drinks was watered down i guess that crowd control sunwing was 1 hour late leaving each way other then that it was good outside shops was nagging and taxi drivers rip you off

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Amazing food

Beautiful resort with excellent food and service. The beach is deep and the water is calm - great for swimming. The furniture in the rooms and the entertainment area is old and in need of updating. Our bathroom had a cracked sink and very worn bathtub.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: good resort

Food was good and the grounds were well maintained. This was our third time at this resort. Forgot that there was a lot of rocks in the water. Room was not what we requested. Said that we did not want a ground floor room but that was what we got. Also info said that no March breakers were allowed any time of the year. But there was a lot of groups of 12 or more that were in their late teens. They were well behaved though. Lots of hot water in shower but the shower head was on a long pole that wa [... read more]s supposed to make you able to adjust the height. It did not work and the shower head was always at armpit level. Ala cart meal at steakhouse was great. At the snack bar the beer tap always produced foamy beer. Generally the bartenders were pretty good except for a few at pool/beach bar. Found service not very good there so we went to the beach/ snack bar at the Merengue when we set up at the beach near there. Noticed if you were a group of pretty girls, the grounds men offered you a coconut. We were never offered any during our whole week at the beach.

Riu Merengue: Don't waste ur money!!

We stayed at Riu Merengue..the worst vacation I have ever had..in 7 days we had 4 rooms....mold in fridge..mold on walls..ac didn't work...when we called to get it fixed...they gave us the run around...people r not friendly..we slept out on the balcony cause the room was so humid and it smelled bad..facuets were broken....no hot water...no one to come fix it..tv well u couldn't even see what was on they were so old...remotes were broken...they don't stock ur fridge everyday...customer service do [... read more]es not exist...they have no clue what ur saying...this place should have a rating of minus1...same food everyday for 7 days...food was not good either....no blow dryer no coffee maker...no iron when it said it had all that in the rooms...i have never ever been so disappointed on a vacation like this one...and too boot when I sent emails....nobody bothered with what we were going through..read ur reviews before making ur choices....jammed packed and no place to even go...and locals also stay there...and the noise is insane at night....holiday from hell we r so not impressed....keep ur money in ur pockets....dont throw it away on a resort like this one....oh ya...we were not told this resort has been sold to Bachata...so please go somewhere....where u know u won't have all these problems.... Riu Merengue: Great vacation

Booked last minute. Resort had nice grounds and a Nice beach. Loved how the rooms were set up in little buildings instead of a large resort. But The rooms smelled musky, and left all of our clothes smelling musky, even after 3 washes. Our door was also broken and I had to make a makeshift lock for it. Pools were nice, but the one with the swim up bar is at the Riu Bachata, which is connected. 24hr drinks and food are also at the Bachata. It’s an older crowd. Service was great. All the st [... read more]aff were friendly. Food wasn’t good and you 100% need reservations, even though it advertises “reservation free dining at all restaurants”. We arrived 20min early at our reservation, hoping to have some wine first, they wouldn’t even let us sit and have wine, even tho it was empty.

Riu Reggae: Amazing!!!!

Resort was modern, clean and very close to the airport. You will hear planes over head mostly in the afternoon which didn't bother me at all. The service was outstanding in all areas of the resort. Food was very good in the buffet . I like that you didn't have to prebook A La Cartes as there were 2 seatings 6:30 & 8. the only A La Carte I tried was Italian and I choose steak well done, very satisfying. Beds were comfortable and fridge was restocked every 2 days. we received clean towels and face [... read more] cloths daily even if they were hanging up to dry. our room was 0092 first floor facing the courtyard. I prefer second or third floor due to bugs but we didn't have any issues with any. I would highly recommend this resort. I would return to this property in a minute.

Riu Palace Antillas: ARUBA IS AMAZING

Spent one week at the Riu Palace Antillas in Aruba, this place is PARADISE. Everything about the RIU was Great. The Food, The People the Location the facilities - it was Perfect From the moment we got there to the time we left the staff was amazing making you feel at home and asking to do anything for you. Can't wait to go back!!!!!!!

Riu Guanacaste: Great Resort

This was a great resort. The grounds were beautiful, food was very good and no problem getting into the restaurants. The bathrooms, hallways, etc. were always clean. The beach was a bit rocky but good.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Fantastic Resort

This resort has it all. They have friendly staff great entertainment. The food was terrific and everyday we were surprised by something. Whether is was ice cream served at the pool, to fresh coconuts at the beach to make your own paella. It was my second time at this resort and it seems to have gotten better. The only downfall is the rooms need to be updated but I heard they are going through renovations next fall. Great Trip!

Riu Flamingos: Extraordinary, beautiful resort

This is the most amazing resort I ever stayed in a long time. Clean, grounds are well kept, food is extraordinary and such a variety of choices. The staff are so welcoming. The activities are well organized. . It was very nice to be able to dine at our convenience without having to make a reservation to eat a la carte. Tripcentral.ca recommended me a very nice resort . We all had such a wonderful trip. Thank you

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Good Resort

We had a very nice trip........ some comments about the resort......the grounds were very well maintained.......Our rooms and the restrooms were very clean....... The one think we would recommend is a little more daily variety in the food being served......thank you.....

Riu Flamingos: Amazing Resort!!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Riu Jalisco from Feb 11-18 and had an amazing time:) The resort is spacious and immaculately cleaned constantly. The Staff in all aspects couldn't be more friendly. We went to the lobby bar every night and Tony and Lucita are the best!! they laugh and joke with everyone and make you feel like family. Our room was a great size and stocked with bottles of alcohol and beer all the time. We had a king size bed and clean linens were done everyday. As far as the on [... read more]ly thing I would recommend is that you bring your own shampoo and conditioner; the shower comes with all in one soap and shampoo. The food was top notch and all al a cartes were great. You don't make reservations as it is first come first serve. We enjoyed the Mexican (ate there twice) and the Japanese (also ate them twice) the best. The buffet was always good and so much variety... We think there is something there for everyone. The beach was awesome and also clean, I had read reviews before we went that the beach is dirty and unclean.... This isn't because of lack of cleaning staff as they are out there all day cleaning up people's dirty cups, cigarette butts and garbage!! these people to me are the problem.. you cant always keep up with 100's of people who wont clean up after themselves when there are garbage cans etc everywhere! We would stay again no doubt!!!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great resort!

The resort experience was great. Nice, newly renovated rooms and common areas (overall the resort was small but never felt too busy). Everything was kept very clean and the staff were really great especially the pool bartenders and resort entertainment staff. The pools were nice and the swim up bar/infinity pool had a great set up/view. The beach was nice too and the water was beautiful! Riu Palace Paradise Island: Beautiful hotel

Stayed at the newly renovated Riu on paradise island in the Bahamas last weekend. Staff and service were amazing!!!! Rooms spotless, food great. Found the buffet cold food more often than not,but great tasting. Beach was clean and well staffed with helping carry chairs. Only downfall for me was when Sunwing picked us up for departing flight 4 hrs before when there was nothing to do at airport. Long wait. Riu Vallarta: Disappointing!

This was our first All Inclusive resort we had been to, after watching Rui’s video about the food, I was expecting the food to be better, but was very disappointed. The Ala Carte restaurants were slightly better. The rooms were nicely decorated and a good size, but the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. We will try an all inclusive again, but it will not be the Rui Vallarta!

Riu Republica: Riu Republica Punta Cana

Great food and customer service. Loved it. A variety of restaurants. Great entertainment. Night club. Lot's excurtions. The dolphins were my favorite. I learned how to scuba dive in tbe pool! A variety of shopping malls.

Riu Guanacaste: Beautiful resort

Beautiful rooms .excellent staff.grounds and pools perfect ..food excellent drinks perfect .I can't say enough how perfect this resort and location for lots of excursions I loved everything thank you to Taylor Curtis my travel agent also I will go back

Riu Tequila: Fantastic week in the sun

Everything was exceptional: food, service, excursions, comfortable and spatious room. Every day I woke up early to experience as much of the area and sunshine as possible. A short break from the cold back home was rejuvinating.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Great Quiet Resort

The entire resort was great from the rooms to the pools and the beach. Although we didn't spend much time by the beach due to high winds while we were visiting the pools were fantastic. Plenty of room, you didn't have to fight for a space many chairs available even in the afternoon. The only complaint we had was that the food wasn't amazing, it was OK but we couldn't say "wow that was great", it was just regular food that didn't have a lot of flavour. However, we had friends stay at the  [... read more]Guanacaste Riu and I can say that our pool and resort was WAY better, I would have been dissapointed if I had stayed at the Guanacaste and saw how great the Palace was. It's worth the money to stay at the palace.

Riu Republica: Fun Resort

First time at an Adult Only resort. It was fabulous. Food amazing, had something for everyone. Bar was great! I found most of the staff did not speak english except for the bartenders and receptionist, so this was a bit of a challenge, but did not hamper my vacation. The beach is awesome, lots of loungers, the water is a little choppy, red flag everyday during Jan to Feb 2018, you can still swim, but at your own risk. The pools, WOW, there are approximately 6 and they are all great, again, something for everyone. I would recommend that management turn up the music a that the beach pool, there are many young guests, including me, and I am sure they would appreciate it. The evening entertainment such as the nightly shows, was okay, nothing spectacular. All in all, I enjoyed my stay, it was sad to leave. We would return definitely :)
