Bahia Principe Grand Samana Roulette: So much fun!

This is the first vacation that my boyfriend and I have ever taken together. The Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa totally blew away our expectations. It’s a gorgeous resort in a truly beautiful setting. Everywhere you look, the view is breathtaking. The beach is beautiful, and the pool was a lot of fun. The bartenders are funny and nice, and they mixed our drinks just right. We enjoyed every aspect of the hotel that we could. Everything was always so clean. The staff were constantly cleaning and refreshing everything. Everyone was super helpful and nice. The service was superb. I loved everything overall. The only suggestion I have is about the food. It was delicious, but I couldn’t always tell if a dish had meat in it. I’m a vegetarian, so this is very important to me. If they could do something to mark the dishes as vegetarian it would be most helpful. Other than that everything was perfect. The staff was extremely helpful and very nice. They went above and beyond to help us. The food was fantastic, and we enjoyed the entertainment. Overall an awesome experience. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable. My boyfriend and I both rate the resort 5 stars. We will definitely be back. Thank you for everything.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Grand Bahia Principe Aquamarine

We were bumped up from Turquesa to Aquamarine all adult. The place and grounds were beautiful. The food was so good just like home.My room was so big and the bed wow, big enough for 4. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would go back there in a heart beat. I loved the beach,nice white sand and it was so long. You could get food and drinks right on the beach.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: 5 Star All The Way

Great family resort! They definitely cater to kids...so many activities, entertainment, kidsclub, teen club! Pool area & waterpark are wonderful & never had to worry about getting chairs by the pool....they had lots of covered areas or umbrellas if you wanted shade! Huge assortment of food at buffets or a choice at the a la cartes. Recommend booking reservations ASAP if you want to dine at the a la cartes. There was tons of staff which were all very friendly! If travelling with kids I highly recommend this resort over any of the other Bahia Principe resorts...the others seemed too stuffy...not a lot of younger kids at them! Wish I was still there! 😎

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wondeful Resort

This resort was in my mind 6 starred. Food was great at the buffets and ala cart restaurants, grounds were impeccable, beach was great as well as the pool area and lots of activities excursions and entertainment throughout the day. Very good customer service and very clean in the room and washrooms and throughout the resort. I loved this resort and certainly will return. i will try the luxury side of this resort next time.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful Place!!

This resort was beautiful! From the perfectly kept grounds, pools, lobbies and rooms- this resort was so well looked after- super clean:) we were very happy to learn that our building was very close to the beach and pools. This complex has several resorts in one which makes for a very busy place. We asked how many rooms were there and were told that there were approx 5000 rooms (mostly 2 in a room) and 5000 staff. This place is huge and people are always coming and going. To go to nightly entert [... read more]ainment you can walk 20-30 min or take a quick trolly ride to try to find it. The food was ok and most times to our liking -not Fabulous... most staff are welcoming and cheerful which is one reason we return to the DR. The people. I would recommend this resort but would caution about its’ vast size... it’s like its’ very own city.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Resort.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal. The food was great and staff were friendly. The resort itself was clean and well kept. This is a great option for an all inclusive style trip.

front desk staff very helpful and informable- dealt with issues immediately if liking the ocean expect a little walk but worth it once there multiple pools to use at this resort Coba from entertaining to relaxing areas would go back

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Amazing resort

Very nice place, the rooms are huge and clean, the food is very good and fresh , a lot of activities , the beach is nice with palm trees , service also very good ,we enjoy our stay and we will return for sure

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very Nice Resort

Service was good, food good, rooms clean, staff was pleasant. I had read some negative reviews on Trip Advisor, and I must say, it was nothing like what I had read. We had plenty of hotwater, didn't bother with the A La Cartes as we enjoyed the buffet food, every night was something different. It is rather large resort with some stairs to deal with at times. But, really not that bad, not a place where you need to trolly everywhere. The Beach to the left was very nice, and you were never to far [... read more] away from a bar. Entertainment on the patio was great. Bus ride was about 1.5hrs with a short break about half way.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Awesome time!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 30th anniversary! 4th time visiting the Bahia chain, 1st time at the Bahia Cobs in the Mayan Riviera. Beautiful grounds, pleasant rooms, lots to eat and drink, many pools to swim in, and a lively beach. A little Ricky in spots but you can walk around them no problem as the water is so clear. We will definitely return!!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Another Great Experience

The grounds are beautifully kept and clean. If gliding, sailing or kayaking is for you then Grand Bahai Principai is the place to be. If you are looking for a white sand beach, tropical music and an ice cold drink that can be found too. . The a la carte meals are delicious and the staff are very attentive. You really have no choice but to relax and enjoy! We will definitely be back to try the Amber section of new condos close to the beach, See you again soon.

The resort is very clean, always being kept up; staff are all very kind and will go out of their way to serve along with a smile. Al a cart were all great food and the steak house restaurant was outstanding. Japanese restaurant also outstanding. Beach had sharp rocks that hurt my feet. You had to find a spot that did not have rocks. Did not like the sand on the beach - was not pleasant to walk on barefoot. Was more like pebbly, rather than soft silky sand. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Definitely a Hidden Gem!

Our stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville was fabulous! It is a beautiful resort, with lots of palm trees and shade at the beach. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The grounds were meticulous. There was plenty of choice in cuisine, both in the buffet and the a la carte restaurants. The food was excellent. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Stayed for honeymoon

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. While overall we enjoyed our trip we did have a few hiccups with this resort. To start off our ocean view suite was on the dated side. While it was clean and comfortable, you can tell it was an older room. My wife and I did have issues with the room. On our first morning my wife was able to take a shower just fine, but when I stepped in to take one there was absolutely no water pressure. We complained and the issue was promptly fixed. The seco [... read more]nd issue was with the safe. Initially we had a lock and key safe but on the second day we were given a opportunity to switch to a digital safe at no extra cost. The maintenance crew came quickly to install the safe and were in and out in less then 20 mins. On the third night though, right before my wife and I were about to go to dinner, we could not get the safe to open. When I complained the sub driector promptly arrived to fix it. It took him quite a long time to fix it. I ended up telling my wife to have dinner without me while I waited for him to finish. I liked speedy response time and the fact that it was the sub director that came to fix it rather than a regular maintenance person, but what I was upset about was not being able to have dinner with my wife on our honeymoon. When we complained to the front desk manager, Leslie, she said she would talk to guest services to see what she could do for us, but we never heard back from her. We didn't let this ruin our trip and quickly realized that all the other services the resort provided made up for these issues. The buffet has something for everyone and the al a carte restaurants were amazing. The food and dining experiences at the al a carte restaurants were comparable to some mid to high end restaurants. We enjoyed the Mediterranean restaurant and the Don Pablo restaurant in particular. The beach near the Tequila restaurant is gorgeous albeit rocky. The main pool has great entertainment throughout the day. The beach closer to the 24hr restaurant isn't great. It was full of seaweed that the crew shoveled into piles, and they had put a barrier up in the water so you couldn't swim far out. We spent 3 out of our 7 days off the resort on different excursions so we didn't end up spending a lot of time on the beach. It was an overall good experience but we expected more from the room and beach. The grounds are very clean, the staff are all very friendly, and the entertainment is something special. If you are coming strictly for the beach, I wouldn't recommend it but if you are a pool person or going on a few excursions, than this is a good resort for you

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Overall good value

My wife and I stayed at Bahia Principe Coba for 9 days (Dec 26 2018 to Jan 4 2019) and we enjoyed ourselves. We paid a bit of a premium given the time of year so taking that into consideration, it was a good value for the trip. We were happy with the overall resort, in that the Coba resort is linked to the Tulum resort. In fact, the beach at Tulum was much better than the beach at Coba, so we went to the Tulum beach every day and had lunch at the Tulum buffet. We ate breakfast and dinner at t [... read more]he Coba buffet everyday. We never go to the restaurants at resorts as we prefer variety. We go to enough restaurants throughout the year back here at home. Regardless, both buffets are about a 7/10 selection-wise and an 8/10 quality-wise. Not too bad, really, although by comparison, we had stayed at the Luxury Akumal, which is another part of the Bahia Principe's overall resort. The food at the buffet at Akumal was 8/10 for selection and 8.5-9/10 for quality. There was a greater selection of food (less repetitive once you've been there for a few days) and it was better quality. The service at the Coba resort (and the Tulum buffet) was average. Not terrible, but not exceptional. Just average. Sometimes the front desk staff were more helpful than others. Having to call to get more bottles of water or to have the mini fridge replenished just about every day. Sometimes the housekeeping was done a bit better than other times - towels not always replaced, etc. So, average service - which in and of itself is fine, but again, to compare, the service at Akumal was better - more personal, more professional. It was essentially adults only and had its own private area of the beach and better pools. Of course, its a bit more money, but considering what you're getting for your money, its much preferable than Coba or Tulum. No matter how you slice it, the coastline for the entire resort is very rocky and although there are specific areas marked off by buoys where swimming is permitted - even then, very rocky. No jumping into the ocean waves at Bahia Principe. We've stayed at a different resort on the Mayan Riviera in the past that was closer to Playa Del Carmen and you could access the ocean right off the beach without any concern for rocks. The Bahia Principe brochure and website video don't show or mention the rocky beach or lack of access to the ocean waves. We booked our trip at the Coba based on the experience we had at Akumal. Well, that was a mistake. They really aren't comparable. I guess its true that you get what you pay for. Anyhow, overall, we wouldn't go back to Coba - mostly because the food isn't what we were hoping it would be, the service was lacking on several occasions, and there is no ocean access other than very rocky cordoned off swimming areas.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: The perfect vacation

This was my third time staying at this resort. I love it! It’s small, the beach is beautiful with snorkeling right there, the food is always very good and the staff are excellent! There was an activity or entertainment going on all day by the pool or the beach, or there was a quiet pool at the other end of the resort for people who prefer less music and activities. The beach vendors work for an association, so they were very polite and not pushy. I look forward to staying here again!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: wonderful week away with friends

thanks to the great suggestion of our wonderful travel agent from tripcentral judy donaldson our spur of the moment weeks holiday could not have been better. our sign in at the resort was done quickly and we received the perfect room for our needs, next door to our travel companions. the resort is on the larger size but we were central to everything and quickly found our way around. we found lots of seating around the pools with many shady areas, also lots of places for lunch with great var [... read more]ieties to choice from. lots of ala carte restaurants or a very large buffet for dinner, many bars to quench your thirst. people were friendly and helpful always with a smile. entertainment every night was very fun. and best of all the rooms were large and the beds extremely comfortable. we will definetly be coming back to this resort. thanks grand bahia principe see you again the ovendens

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar review

Everything was excellent. We both had a wonderful time. The only suggestion I do have is if they can be more generous with face cloths (washcloths). We got 2 when we arrived and when we asked to get more or get our room cleaned we didn't seem to be allowed to get more. With us being two in a room, only getting one washcloth each for a week is not good. They were generous with the towels but not washcloths which I find strange.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing Resort

The resort was great. It was very clean, the food was amazing and the rooms are spacious. The entertainment was good and the entertainment staff were super nice. They made you feel welcome and are very interactive. I would definately go back again. The only issue we had was that the repairs were not done very quickly.
