Hotel Vigia: Get your steps in!
For those who love to get their steps in and stay active, Cayo Guillermo’s Playa El Paso 4km beach is amazing for both swimming and walking. The sand is incredibly soft, yet firm to walk on and stays shallow so far out. The Sol Cayo G is dated and needs much work however, it is a casual cottage-like spot on an expansive piece of property providing very good quality service. I have visited this hotel the past 9 years in a row!
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Wonderful resort !
We really enjoyed ourselves at the Paradisus Princess Del Mar! Everything was great ! Great beaches, great restaurants, great staff ! We will definitely be coming back !
Sol Palmeras: Great place!
This was my 4th time there, very friendly stuff, food gets better and better with each visit. A lot of different activities for every age group. Very safe for children many lifeguards on duty. Over all 5star experience!
Melia Marina Varadero: Good resort
Overall, Melia Marina is a pretty good resort, except for customer service is pretty bad. 80% of the employees working there has no smile and never greet, not even Hola. Needs a big improvement in their customer service. Some of the dish served in the buffet is way too salty. The ala carte restaurants in the evening are pretty good. The lounge in the level provides the best service. Rooms are clean.
Sol Cayo Santa Maria: The best resort
This resort was so beautiful. The staff were absolutely amazing. The food was good. I loved it there. The beach was the best. I would absolutely go back there again!!!! I have been to a lot of places but this place by far is the best
Melia Varadero: Amazing Resort with a great beach, awesome dining, and professional Entertainment
This hotel is located on a beautiful beach in the middle of Veradero. The hotel has great food and lots of al a carte restaurants to choose from which are all excellent. The pool is decent with a pool bar that has great service for drinks. The entertainment is the best i have seen in Cuba from professional dancers, piano players, bands, and mimes that entertain every evening. The rooms are very comfortable with great views of the beach or pool area.My only complaint is that the elevators are very slow [... read more]
Sol Varadero Beach: Pay the extra money to go to a better resort.
This hotel is great for low maintenance people. If you are someone that doesn't need a door, toilet seat or toilet paper to pee, bottles of water to drink or you can live without working power or water for periods at a time, then this resort is for you. Luckily if you get drunk enough the awful food and hotel conditions do not bug you as much. Except when you have to change your key card 23 times daily due to deactivation Two positives: its 5 minutes from downtown varadero and the barten [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: We could go back.......like NOW!
Wonderful experience! We enjoyed everything, beaches, pools, food etc.Our room it was always cleaned to perfection.Chek in,was easy and all the stuff very friendly. The resort is very clean and well maintained.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Cuban 5 star
my second time at this: Relaxed low impact Safe bet the royal service side is 5 star best or second best in all of Cuba in its category, which is: Couples Over 50 either in age or mindset not trying to be young again, but glad to peace in open spaces quiet places to read , talk, drink, sunbath, Eat excessively the non royal ide is a Cuban 4.5 at best but better suited to the Couples over 40 crowd there is a "Show" every night almost always over by 10:30 pm maybe a coup [... read more]
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Good resort
Grounds are beautiful Beach fantastic, staff amazing Entertainment Great ROOM "Mares" side which we had very poor Tubs paint peeling shower head could not attach to wall toilet about to tip from floor and bed side table lamp you get electric shock from! Book Luna side..much newer and well kept
Melia Cayo Coco: Ok, not as great as everyone thinks.
This resort is a favourite for many repeat customers, this was my 3rd visit. There is a pretty significant $ premium to stay at the Melia Cayo Coco over the other neighbouring Melia resorts, definitely not worth it on this trip. Poor selection of liqours, drink mixn food. The bright spot is still the staff, I give them 2 thumbs up. The other resorts had better beer, premium liquor. Seems backwards..... Anyhow, enjoyed my stay.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Incredible Resort
This hotel is one of the nicest we've been to. The food was incredible, whoever complains about the food is crazy !! The staff, way too many to list as they are super courteous, friendly and go above and beyond service. The grounds are impeciable. The pool ,sometimes dirty but they get on it right away and clean it. The snack bar has pizza, hamburgers, fries and drinks. The a la carte's are fantastic. Leticia at the front ( who takes care of the a la Carte's ) is the most pleasant person to deal [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Remarkable Resort
This has been our third visit to Melia Cayo and we have no complaints. I am totally shocked with the recent reviews online. What is there not to like? The food is great, the beach is fabulous, rooms are very clean, etc... We will be returning and renewing our vows next yr at Melia Cayo Santa Maria. The staff ARE ALL GREAT! No need to mention any names as they are all very friendly...right down to the gardeners.
Paradisus Varadero: Beautiful resort
We had an amazing stay at Paradisus. All the staff were super friendly. Food was good. The beaches and pools were amazing. Only down fall was their debit/visa machine was down so I would recommend bring extra cash so you don’t have to deal with that.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Very pleased.
First time to Cuba and enjoyed my trip. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pools, beach and grounds very nice. Food not so great but always something to eat to get bye. Would like something a little closer to airport. Would recommend resort to friends/family.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: enjoyed resort
Pools and grounds amazing. Rooms nice and clean. Beach is lovely however big step down sand bank to waters edge. Resort wasn't very busy last week. Food not the best typical of Cuban choices. Staff exceptional, will try to please you if possible. Overall enjoyed trip and would recommend to others.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Management must be doing something right
First time at this resort, overall we had good time. We did not stay in Royal Service section. Beach was great, grounds well kept. Rooms are ageing, but kept clean. Air conditioning was quite weak, had to keep it on all the time. Food quality was above average for Cuban resorts. Positive staff attitude, turned the vacation into a success. Management must be doing something right.
Melia Las Antillas: Very nice and friendly people
We had a great time. The food was okay and the nice people working there were great. The shows at night were also very amusing snd entertaining. Oh and don’t forget the beautiful beach, always clean and blue! I’m definitely returning to Melia Las Antillas!
Melia Las Antillas: A wonderful vacation destination !
As my first Cuba vacation, resort and rooms were very clean. Staff are very polite and welcoming.Lots of food options for any taste and diet. Yard and pool are well maintained at all times and kept clean. Lots of free activities at the beach and some for very reasonable price. I sure consider this resort for my next trip.
Hotel Camino del Mar: Great staff
Great place, loved the beach & pool dinners, as well as the beach restaurant, but the staff were superb & went out of their way to accommodate us. Entertainment was great. The new manager was very personable and was open to our suggestions on what we thought needed attention, would definitely go back to this resort
